The best! Why? Two reasons: 1.) The food is excellent. 2.) Julie and Sam are wonderful, warm, lovely people and amazingly generous hosts - what a gift to the community! They do jokingly offer certain guests who need it the experience of the Zen master: Laugh along or work on yourself:) The food is not expensive and the lesson is priceless. Enjoy!!:):)

This is by far the best Thai food I have ever eaten. The owner Julie (new mommy) is wonderful! All of the food is made fresh to order. She pays close attention to every ingredient. She wasn’t happy with the local mango selection so she sourced seeds from Thailand and grows her own mangos for the restaurant. That level of granular detail and love is put into every dish. This is a must stop.

Im a visitor to the West palm beach area and I dont eat out much but Im really glad I stopped at Oriental Food Market & Take-Out. This is a family owner business of about 30 years. The hostess was very kind and helpful. Im visiting West palm solo and this is one of the few places Ive felt like more than just another customer. I got to meet and hear stories about the whole family and even previous customers that also became more like family. The Thai curry is amazing too! Im from Atlanta and I have had Thai curry from many restaurants, none of which can be compared with Oriental Food Market & Take-Out. : ) If you have the chance to visit them you are guaranteed to enjoy the food, company, and service.

The worst experience of my life. Ive never had someone in the customer service industry treat me so terribly. I only wanted to know if a certain item was in the meal because I was allergic. Julie was so rude and laughed at me for asking. The story gets worse but Ill end there. I work in customer service and I would hate to work with someone like that. You never know what your customer is going through so thats a bigger reason to give them the best experience you can. I will never recommend this place.

I dont get what the big draw to this place is. Yes, the food is good but not good enough to make up for the sour-puss, unfriendly owner, known as Julie. She actually spoils the experience of eating there. I suspect she thinks quite highly of herself because she gives off that attitude. Not coming back here. There are too many other places where to get good food.

This place is like having a Secret Thai Grandma You run to for food. This isnt some nouveau hipster food chain. This is unapologetically a little mom and pop Thai Market where the husband quietly cooks and the mom sells and chats and sometimes helps with the cooking. The place is old and run down in a charming way. It is, without a doubt, the best Thai food that Ive had in the United States. The food is mainly takeout, although theres a small bar counter area and a couple of small tables. My only caveat is that Julie (the mom) doesnt seem to always follow her menu prices. She kind of charges on a whim, such that your favorite Pad Thai is $8.99 one day, and $13.99 the next. Ive seen regulars argue with her over haphazard pricing on large orders; when they point out the menu and show her the math, she relents, though at times, Sam comes out and smooths things over. Similarly, Ma Julies attitude is also a little unpredictable. Some days shes sweet as mango with sticky rice, and other days shes kind of cold and distant. The prices tend to fluctuate with her attitude. And Im far from the only one whos noticed the discrepancy in pricing and attitude. Its a well known thing among the regulars. Its definitely not for everyone; the random out of town visitor may not understand the curious way the little place works; its a place that takes a local to really love and appreciate: and love and appreciate they do. You can see a continuous torrent of local cops, firemen, attorneys, doctors, nurses, nearby store owners, and people like me whose families live close by — theyre all regulars that Julie and Sam usually know by name. Ive seen random A-list celebrities drop in for takeout based on word of mouth. Ma Julie calls my Dad, Clint Eastwood, and shamelessly flirts with him in an over-the-top, hysterical kind of way. We locals know what Ma Julie is like and that her heart is golden despite her idiosyncrasies; we also come for the golden food. When Julies son briefly takes over the store when she goes on vacation, prices are normal and predictable, but I find myself missing Ma Julies off-the-wall banter. Despite the unpredictable menu charges, this is still my favorite Thai Food this side of the globe. And yes, its better than PokPok in NY.

The absolute best pad thai Ive ever had! Ive eaten pad thai in 15+ different cities, but none compares to what they serve. Its perfect. The wonton soup is unbelievable too! Trust me... Try it. Its better than any wonton soup youve ever had. There are a few reviews about rude service. Ive never experienced that. She called me out for being lazy and using Door Dash... But she was right and saying it in a joking way that made me laugh.A+++.

Yes the food is authentic & deliciously fresh .. i had to laugh reading the previous reviewer; the woman there Julie, Yes !! she is the Thai version of the soup Nazi..a real trip !In the span of less than 10 seconds, she can go from being pleasant to casting dispersions and border line insulting to the customer.. But take her w/grain of salt and pay her no mind, shes very proud & really pretty harmless... entertaining too ! in a bizarre way - )Id Go Back for the insults... and the FOOD! * * * *p.s * (she can be a loose w/the check, watch your bill !!)

After reading some great reviews and hearing what a delight Ma Julie is, I was excited to go in. HORRIBLE service-she was the rudest person Ive ever encountered as a grocery/restaurant owner. She scolded me for not carrying around cash and told me if I wanted a light coconut milk that it was for making pina coladas and not food. She said that this wasnt the way they do it in Thailand or around here in her store. I told her Ive been to Thailand and I wished that I told her she was the RUDEST Thai person Ive ever met. I am SO disappointed and will never go back there and spend any of my money. How horrible to treat your customers this way. I was appalled and super disappointed and would never recommend anyone going in there.
