The gentleman that helped me. was friendly and knowledgeable, he answered all my questions and gave me helpful tips. He hooked me up with the coolest looking ebike and all the gadgets. There is a ton of stuff there, he probably has anything that you need. I would definitely recommend!
Great bike shop with everything you need! The people here have a wealth of knowledge and help you out immensely. They are local to the core and I could not recommend enough.
Great bike shop! Awesome inventory! Owner was very helpful! Treated us way better than the big bike stores around Des Moines! Highly recommend his store!
Love the shop and the name . Overall good experience and customer service
The service is genuine, the prices are reasonable, and the owner is knowledgeable. The staff skips the BS and bluntly gets to the point, which is probably what comes off as rude to others who have placed reviews. Personally, Id rather shop at a place like this rather than one with the artificial, overly-friendly salesmen you get at other big-name shops. If I ever need something while Im in the Des Moines area, thisll be the first place Ill go.
Jerry. Got home with the new bike and we headed out to Aquabi for it’s maiden ride. Couldn’t be happier. My son and daughter-in-law got a chance to ride it as well. Thanks for the advice and setup. Enjoyed your shop and visiting with you as well.
Walked in. Was never acknowledged. Looked as though we were not welcome. Left. Won’t go back.
Had a ridiculously bad experience with the older guy working there. Once he finally acknowledged we were there, all he did was talk down to us. Wed been in the store for nearly half an hour, its a tiny shop and it wasnt busy. He acted like he didnt want us there at all. Five minutes of interaction with him made both of us not want to ask anymore questions, look at bikes, buy from his shop, or even be there at all. I really did want a Norco bike and I was ready to buy. He had what I wanted right on his wall. But, we walked out after talking to him because he was so rude.
We stopped by to look for a bike. The owner couldnt be bothered with even acknowledging us as he talked on the phone. Another young man came in after us and when the owner got off the phone, he turned his back to us and went to help that guy, again no acknowledgment. We left. Guess you were not interested in a sale. Will never go there again. Rude and horrible service. If I could give negative stars, I would.
Just discovered this place this morning. Jerry owns the place and he is the only employee sales and service. Great prices and fabulous inventory. I bought a fat tire. Love the new bike and this bike shop I just discovered. My wife hates the name though.
The name isnt for a pet, its name is for the owners personality.
Best name for a business ever.
Very rude staff left me in tears in my car after a bad day at work
Great shop. Some of the best prices I have seen for bikes that are quality and unique. The owner is knowledgeable too. Will come back if ever need another bike!
Very friendly and knowledgeable. I would definitely recommend. Fixed one bike and bought another one.
Nice guy did a great job fixing my wifes bike and building my mothers bike for us would definitely go back highly recommend this shop
Went there for hugh mongus came out with a bike
Fun bike shop. Owner is great to chat with. Norco bikes.
Im at a loss for the positive reviews. The owner was rude to me (fine) but then rude to my wife (not fine). Plus, rude to everyone in line in front of us (not cool). Not sure if it was just a bad day for him, but we wont be back.
I called this place on 6-20-19 at 11:53 am to inquire about my bike getting a tune up. The best description of the person I talked to would be like talking to your 16 year old son. Being new to bicycling I wasnt sure if EVERY place did maintenance on bikes and when I asked this simple question the response I got from the child working there was OBVIOUSLY in a condescending rude teenage tone. I would not recommend taking any business there as there are plenty of other bike shops in the area that were more professional and more importantly evenly priced. The phone call ended with the kid just hanging up the phone.Customer service is everything these days and would recommend ANY other place than this one for service just based on that one little 30 second phone call.
I was also floored by the rudeness of the owner. Very belittling, condescending and rude. Looking for a bike for a beginning rider and his comments and demeanor definitely deterred us from buying there which is unfortunate.
I have purchased several biking items and had my specialized bike tune up. The owner fit me in for my tune up when I was in a pinch for a triathlon I had for the forthcoming weekend. Additionally, in another visit he walked through bike basic maintenance with me with were extremely valuable. Will definitely be taking my bike back in the future and recommending to all my friends that its worth taking bike there no matter where your located!
Dont remember being here
We were very surprised when we walked in the door of this amazing bike shop. It is one of the best bike shops we have ever been in! I would highly recommend it to anyone and I can see us going back and buying a bicycle here very soon.
The guy working here is super rude and unfriendly. Terrible customer service and made us feel unwelcome. Will not be back.
Great bike shop! Purchased 2 trikes and all the accessories we needed. We love them!
Rude owner that did not care to try to make a sale. There was a friendly guy there that actually wanted to talk to us - and he didn’t even work there! Ended up going elsewhere to buy a bike. Save your time, go elsewhere.
Do you ever feel like you are a nuisance? I did.
Purchased new bike for my wife. Very helpful. Decent prices.
Gives it to you straight, like a bike down hill at 40 mph.
The best service!
Truly is the best Hidden Bike Secret.
Sweet dogs in the yard, too.
Great local shop.
