We walked in to look at mattresses and recliners. We got a very knowledgeable salesman who got us set up with a new bed including an adjustable base so we can sit up and watch TV from bed. He also helped us to get a recliner ordered. We are very happy with the services we received and cant wait to get our new furniture!

Had a boxspring delivered to the entryway of our apartment building. We got it up to our 3rd floor apartment and took the plastic off only to find a grease mark and cut in the top where the mattress would sit. We called in and were told at first that we could exchange only and he’d have to find out if we could return because of covid and call us back. Two hours later after no returned call we called back and was then told we could return it but we have to bring it. We told them we don’t have a car to transport a queen size boxspring the guy on the phone said well we can have someone come get it but there’s a charge. We live 0.7 miles from the store. We were like okay we will figure it out. So we explained it to a third party who is thinking about purchasing a sofa from Slumberland and he was like I will call them cause that’s b.s. so he calls and got the same response he explained he was a third party considering purchasing from slumberland and didn’t understand why we would have to pay for someone to pick up a damaged item all the employee said was we can pick up but we have to get paid too. The third party was like fine I will take my business elsewhere and the employees response was “okay that’s fine” and hung up on him. Would leave no stars but the guy that initially delivered apologized for not being able to deliver up to our door and wasn’t a complete JERK about it.

We just had a great experience at Slumberland in West Des Moines.  Kyle greeted us when we came in but gave us space and time to browse.  He later checked on us and answered a few questions wed come up with.  Once we decided to make a purchase, his great knowledge and attitude continued to impress.  Were very happy with the service, price, and quality products found at Slumberland.  Thanks Kyle!!

“Our mission is to improve the lives of our customers” but they’ll gladly sell you an inferior product and then my refuse to stand behind it. $3000 couch immediately began “pilling” so we made a claim which was summarily rejected April 2020. Pilling continued so we took a cushion in 3 months ago to show our salesman David what the material looks like if we don’t “shave” it weekly (we’ve spent +$150 in fabric shavers and spent countless hours trying to maintain the fabric). David was less than concerned as evidenced by his continuous failure to meet communication commitments HE SET on multiple occasions. A couple of his co-workers looked at the cushion and said “something definitely needs to be done about that.” Finally got a text (a text!) from David last week saying “we have to abide by customer service” and won’t be of any help. (Not sure what “customer service” means -apparently neither does David). They’ve yet to address other issues including fabric separation and the creaky frame. SET VERY LOW EXPECTATIONS AND BUY AT YOUR OWN RISK. Or just keep drying.

Great in-store experience. Adam was very helpful and knowledgeable but not high-pressure and didnt hover. He checked on us periodically to answer our questions. Our chair has been ordered so we dont have it yet but we had a very positive impression of the store in West Des Moines and the customer service there so far.

David at the Jordan Creek Parkway store was amaizing. Showed me the recliners I was wanting and even told me to feel free to take a nap in one.:) I hunted around after what he showed me and I was not bombarded with sales pitch or anything. I was free to look. He was patient when I found something that I could not get in my time frame he gave me more options. I know this might not be their fault, but I bought my dining set on February! Its August and I still dont have my dining set. Now they said it will be on early September. They said the same thing a couple of months ago about August. I know the whole market is going through something similar, but I have had coworkers that already received their furniture. I feel that there is more that can be done than just sending me a message about another delay (Like try calling the manufacturer to help out?) . The buying experience is good, no complains, but the delivery is why I am giving this review.

Way too expensive. I found some of the exact same furniture on Zulily and Wayfair for less than half the price. Beautiful new store though. I probably wont ever buy anything here.

We are repeat customers and have always appreciated the helpful sales associates. The store has a nice selection without being overwhelming. This visit we had the pleasure of working with Kyle, and he was great--low pressure but attentive when we had questions. We emailed back and forth and when we returned to the store to make our purchase, everything was exactly as discussed in the email and the sale was quick and pleasant. Great experience all around!

I did not have a good experience throughout the purchase. I will never shop from this store again. Sales person was not helpful with updates.. Made a purchase in July. I literally had to call the store for updates. They only demonstrate good customer service July to get you to buy their stuff and then treat you like crazy afterwards. Went to Slumberland in Des Moines to find a new sectional for our living room. Michael Wallace greeted us within minutes of walking into the store. We told him what we were looking for and at what prices. He showed us options that were exactly what we were looking for! He was very knowledgeable as well and explained everything thoroughly. No pressure sales person both times I was in the store. Lots of options of Lazy Boys. Purchased a chair. Happened to be in stock at a distribution center and will be delivered in 5 days. Pretty much unheard of right now (July 2021).Both sale people I dealt with were very well schooled on different chairs, answered questions with patience, and made good suggestions when I asked about other pieces.A very good experience.

After looking at multiple stores we found a beautiful dining room table set that even had a matching serving table! Our sales associate Kyle Hunt was very helpful and informative all while letting us have space to browse on our own!

Was greeted at the door quickly. Nice selection but pretty pricey on most things. Only had 2 employees ask if we had any questions and the store wasnt real busy so it wasnt like they were too busy or anything. Got a nice dining room table for a decent price and one of the two employees that did ask us was very attentive and respectful in helping check us out.

Kyle did a great job giving us information on the mattress. He didnt push us to buy the most expensive one (even though we did). Overall he seems to have a good reputation with customers since hes been there for 20 plus years.

We shopped around at multiple large stores before going to Slumberland & shopping with Micheal. We ultimately made our purchase based on quality product & excellent customer service. Will definitely shop there again for our furniture needs.

I want to thank Kyle Hunt for being the most helpful & understanding person at the Jordan Creek Slumberland. I ordered two recliners in March. I had concerns about them fitting in my living room & shared them with Kyle. He assured me that if there was a problem, they had a 30 day return policy. Kyle notified me when they arrived this month & we set up a delivery date. I was out of town, but started remeasuring when I got back home. I discovered that they wouldn’t fit. I even looked at rearranging our room, but nothing worked. It was just two days before the chairs were going to be delivered. I called Kyle & learned he wouldn’t be in until the next day. I asked the staff member to send Kyle an email, letting him know that I was cancelling my order & the reason why. After checking, I found I had his email address, so sent him one as well. Kyle called me first thing the next morning. Instead of being frustrated with me, he said he remembered our conversation & my concern. He said they would refund my purchase & when I was ready he would help me find smaller ones that would work. Not only will I do that, I will definitely recommend him to anyone looking for furniture. In summary, I would like to say kudos to whoever was smart enough to hire him. He’s the best.

I recently purchased an adjustable bed base and mattress from Kyle. Terrible service. Idk where to even start. They tell you false information. First, Ordered an adjustable and when I got home it was torn, missing parts, covered in dust and found out it wasnt even in the original packaging. If you order a mattress they don’t tell you it comes in a box. It won’t feel anything like the one you tried in the store. Then when you call and try to resolve the issue they basically tell you oh well wait 30 days and we’ll exchange it. And that’s not even half of the problems. Worst experience I’ve ever had with a furniture store. Spend your money elsewhere. This place is a joke.

My husband and I went to our local Slumberland to shop for a new couch for our upcoming move. We were excited to shop, yet nervous about keeping our two rambunctious kiddos off of the beautiful furniture! Had a little trouble locating building, then Adam came and opened the door for my wife, she uses a walker. He asked if we needed any assistance. We told him we were looking for certain items, he gave directions, and let us go our own way, he spot checked with us to see if we needed help. Offered ideas, and let us decide. With his help we found what we wanted and ordered and paid for them. Adam was friendly, courteous and of great help. We will recommend Slumberland, and will purchase there when we need something.

The buying process was great. The piece I wanted turned out to be the last one. I was happy to take the floor model because everything worked and not a single thing was wrong with it. I get it delivered and here is what I get. Have had to glue the side and wrap it in hopes it stays. (The delivery guy did say hed put it on the paperwork, no I never saw any paperwork) Now only one side reclines. I could not test it because I had to get an extension cord to plug it in. Ive usually bought my furniture at slumberland, however it may be time to stop. Very sad and disappointed!!!

We had already owned the sectional we bought at Slumberland in West Des Moines. I talked to David over the phone and it was an easy process to order, set up delivery and pay. My husband was responsible for our first sectional breaking. We love it because it’s a nice rich brown, very comfortable and well made. You will need the skid pads underneath the cushions but, that was a simple, no issue thing.

Stopped by this location just to browse. Had a great experience and ended up purchasing a live edge table. Great customer service even after we received the table and found it was damaged. Our sales man took care of it and will be ordering us a replacement.
