Went to the new one in Waynesville. Off Ross Avenue. Pretty nice little store.

I love Dollar General! I always go there first with my list and get everything I can. The prices are good and so is the selection.

This store has actually moved to a new location across the shopping center. Nice wide aisles, everything is spotless and organized. The employees are so friendly and helpful. Im glad they moved the store!!!

I needed a phone card for my parents. They staff at this DG were super helpful and even helped me get the old school flip phone activated and ready to go. They went above what was required. Excellent!Also, they were actually running out of $1 and $5s so go give them some business with your cash😀

Shelves were kind of bare and the entire store seemed a in a bit of disarray. All that did not make for a pleasant shopping experience.

I am truly surprised at what a variety of items this store has! I only got the candy corn this time, (and it was the best I have had in a long time!) I plan on going back VERY soon!

This is one of the worst Dollar General stores Ive ever been to lots of people seem to like it but the three times I have gone there had to wait way to long in a line that went half way to the back. They should have more personal.

The old lady was very rude I ask for a product I waited on . She acted disinterested in helping me there her arms in the air walked away I went through another isle counted how much I had to see what extra I could get she commented on me counting my funds an said watch her loud enough for me to hear.the other younger manger lady always nice always helpful an listening to her costumers but this older woman I known from the dollar store across from days inn on smoky Park Rd. So she known I wasnt a their we never had cross words all the sudden has became so rude i had walked 2 hours to go to this location on top of it. In front of other workers she said that was very hurtful. I dont need to steal if I need it bad enough Ill save to get what I need. It was insulting disrespectful, hurtful, embarrassing as hell .. Lord knows who else herd this rude woman.. I walked cause my car had been down . Im not a their or bum.. thanks to the likes of her this has disturbed me for at least 2 wks.. I felt so ashamed an I walk down that road thinking everyone looking thought that about me Lord knows who else had herd that. Maybe someone from a store I shop or anything.. please stop this reckless woman from doing that to someone else.. I hate saying this but its burden my thoughts everywhere I go.. think her name is Beth not sure.. take her aside please tell her not to do this to anyone else.. Lord help me I almost lost it that day..

I loved seeing all the cute decorations for July 4th, staff was friendly.

Had trouble knowing what I should get and had the best service and advise l, I wasnt expecting that from a dollar general! 10 out of 10 for service ! They helped me find just what I needed and I will go back .

Is there a good, clean or organized Dollar General anywhere?

Im sad to say this, and I never give bad reviews, but this is one of the worst Dollar Generals I been in. And i love Dollar General. Shelves were a mess and half empty, stocking racks blocking isles everywhere. Product all over the floors like it was thrown on the ground and stepped on. Dirty and impossible to shop in. I will say that the gentleman cashier was very nice and helpful though. But the store was terrible.

This one isnt as good as the other ones. Its shelves are empty a lot. Not as neat as the other stores. I know from friends who worked there on the past, corporate doesnt allow much time for doing extra stuff because they are always understaffed. Story of most retail stores. Sad

Sale stuff not taken off at register like it said, double charged on other things, This store regularly turns off the outside light out early to make it look closed. They play inappropriate music over speakers. Some employees are under influence of some substance or they are talking about it

I always visit the Dollar Store for household cleaners and things like storage for my pantry and laundry detergent. The one I visit was looking a little cluttered and just not very welcoming. Today the store looked much better and emplyoees were hard at work stocking shelves and such. I really enjoyed my visit today and will continue to visit my Dollar Store!

This is the place to go for a good price and a good deal on most of your common needs. A must try youll be surprised.

Well needless to say this is the review I sent to corporate........Hey, I am not a critic by no means, but this is absurd. I have never been in any store so cluttered and unorganized. The workers are absolutely lazy. I have been multiple times hoping each time that it has gotten better. Needless to say it hasnt. The workers are know to gather in the isles talking while oblivious to their obligations at there job. There will be lines back into to isles with only 1 worker scanning when other workers are obvious. There are stock carts stacked way above my head, and I am 58, everywhere you turn. You can not even reach a lot of items due to them. Mop buckets are left in isles. Some isles you can not even walk in at all. I took photos to prove it all of it. There are fire hazards everywhere you turn. This is absolutely ridiculous! Poor Management & Poor Workers

The employees here are always nice and helpful as well! I can always find what I need here quick and convenient when Im running errands.

Horrible unacceptable service, I was in earlier today and witnessed a cashier and the store Manager be incredibly ruse and hateful to a man that could not hear, the man was trying to explain that he wanted to exchange an item as he had his old item and the new item with him at the counter. After shaking his head no multiple times when the employees asked if he wanted a return. Obviously he wanted a return. The manager kept telling the man he need a receipt. I was not until a woman explained to the manager that the man was deaf that they stopped to think what the man wanted. So after writing on papers, I dont know what they wrote other then them still trying to tell the man they cant do a RETURN with out a receipt, again HE DID NOT WANT A REFUND HE WANTED AN EXCHANGE, afterwards the cashier and manager got fed up, took the mans item wadded them in a ball, threw them in a bag and shoved them at the man, and said, dont come back unless you have your receipt. Then to top it all off were rude and rushed the rest of the customers in the store. Completely disrespectful. This store should be ashamed by how disgusting the management and staff are. Do not shop here.

The girls there were really nice. One asked me how I was doing. Twice. Found some stationary stuff for a $1 which was awesome. But a small box of cat litter for $9 is too much. would rather have gone to Ingles or something and got double the size for that price. Came here another night and I swear there was a woman on drugs in front of me. She bought $100 worth of food on EBT and spent 10 minutes counting out change for cigarettes. All while twitching and complaining how hot it was in there. Waynesville is always keeping it classy.

Had what I was looking for.

This location has gone downhill over the past year or so. It has become poorly stocked and not well cared for. Its very sad. I used to go here 2 or 3 times a month. I suggest driving the extra few miles to visit the one in Bethel.

Its 7:30 on a Friday and they have sharpie signs on the door saying closed due to being understaffed? Maybe pay your help a decent wage and they will stay...or can you make money being closed?

I have never met anyone like the young lady thats a manger their.. I havent seen the disrespectful older lady Beth I believe her name was she from candler store hate that I had to even post about her an my experience while she was there. But Im gonna have to find out that young ladys name she super awesome so polite, clean, nice working hard every time Im in there. She wears glasses brown hair she is a manger I know that for sure but will update her name. Man people like her make this world go around Im not exaggerating either she always from day 1 I ever came there she goes outta her way to help never pushing you aside or lingers. shes busy body, polite dont act better then others shes happy to work thats uncommonly seen anymore. She seemed to have her hands full stocking shelves but she never ingores or makes a face when needing help.she is one of a kind. She should be the owner hell she helps ppl anyway she can without feeling judgment from her no matter how stupid my questions are some times I just simply love shopping there when she I there.. will find out he name by god he deserves her name on this review DG on dellwood Rd.. be back soon to update this..

Just dont shop here. Staff is lazy and never checks to see if anything is in stock and will lie to your face. Store is always a mess. I called to complain and Emily the temporary store manager was horribly rude and made up excuses why she shouldnt have to do her job. She should not be a manager nor training people. Everyone needs to stop shopping here until they stop hiring trashy people and fix this place.

God awful experiance tonight im a regular in there every night the normal night staff know me and my daughter and are very nice tonight there was a heavy set long brown headed young girl when i first went in i stopped and talked to terry and started to browse got a few things and decided to look at the toys maybe get the little one a little something i found a $2 thing of play doh got it down looked and laid it on the shelf while i got in my purse to get my wallet to see how much cash i had didnt want to use a card on a small purchase well before i could turn back around to get it right in the middle of the isle this girl comes and shoves a hand basket in my face i had a cart and said put that play doh you stole in here i said excuse me she said wheres that play doh you just had i turned around picked it up and said right here, she then made a growling sound and told me to dump my purse out on the floor in the middle of the toy isle i said no thank you first off its full of make up pacis paper work just everything and there floors are dirty and it was so disrespectful i couldnt believe it. she said then get the hell out of here i said excuse me again still in shock all of this is taking place in the middle of my shopping trip not outside just right there. i told her who i was and that she had it all wrong she said again get the hell out of here i said whos your manager was told none of my business so i said fine ill pay for my stuff and leave she told me to leave my damn buggy there and leave so i did the casher was in shock to he knows me well and knew i would never do such and told me to call the manager and corporate in the morning i left in tears. no one should be treated like this in the middle of shopping this didnt happen as i left or was checking out this happened while i was still shopping. ive contacted corporate and will be calling managment in the morning and filing a complaint against her and talking to a lawyer she humilated me and made false claims if she thought i had took anything you would wait untill after i paid and left the store not in the middle of the aisle while im in the middle of shopping !!!!!!!!!

TERRIBLY RUDE, black headed girl, w/glasses waited on me, and, TRIED charging me $1.50, for a lighter, that ONLY COSTED $1.00, and, I showed her where I got it, and the price, her reply, I cant help that, thats just what it comes to. I said, Excuse me? Her reply again, Would u like me to get my mgr on this? I said, Well, OF COURSE I DO, youre charging me WAY TOO MUCH MONEY, PLUS, BEING A SMART MOUTH towards CUSTOMERS! I just threw the lighter on the counter, walked out, told the SMART MOUTH, I wont EVER, shop there again! She lost them QUITE A BIT of cash there, BECAUSE, I WAS going in FREQUENTLY, for groceries, my phone card EACH MONTH, and, SEVERAL other items through the week. BUT NOW, I WILL go ALL THE WAY OUT to Walmart, to get my things I need, EVEN IF, its A LOT FURTHER for me to travel. She NEEDS to learn some DICIPLINE, and, CUSTOMER SERVICE RULES! WE, ARE WHAT, KEEPS HER A JOB, BY BUYING THINGS THERE, and, NOT THERE, to be RIPPED OFF, and charged MORE TAX, than what N.C. TAX EVEN IS, and said, SHE CANT HELP THAT.....WHAT? Would rate LOWER STARS, if I could get LOWER THAN 1. GOOD BYE DOLLAR GENERAL!!! This occurred between 2, and 3pm, on 9/20/18.

Nothing is ever in stock or on the right shelf with the right price tag.. you cant walk thru the isles because of the unpacked merchandise, empty boxes, and carts in the way. Also, forget returning anything.. they never have the same product to switch it out for. An, last but not least, the employees are rude 90% of the time. . There is hardly ever a day you can find one in a decent mood or dont hand your change to you like you are making their lives so miserable. Sick of it. Clyde location PLEASE open back up!!

I go by the dollar general in wayn. Plaza today around 2pm & once AGAIN theyre just closed, 3 employees was just standing inside of the store not doing a thing-i come back thru & theres an employee standing out smoking (while the store is still closed) & asked why they was closed this time-she tells us its because theres to much stuff that needs to go on shelves! Isnt this a job before or after hrs.? This store is always nasty, nothing is ever on shelves to begin with, only 1 person running a register, etc.! This store should be leveled & rebuilt & HIRE new workers! This doesnt deserve the 1 star i had to give-can we plz get a new store in wayn.? PLEASE?
