The sales associate Jacki Harrell made my first time experience at Badcock special. Everything was explained throughly, nothing was rushed through, and she even took the time out to give me some pointers! Me being young, I came into Badcock with little knowledge on what I was doing, but because of Jacki Harrell I left with a new state of mind on everything! I will be purchasing again from Badcock in the future because of her customer service.

So I’m new to the area and went to the store today trying to buy new living room furniture. I found a decent sectional I liked and made a offer . Salesman who was nice and helpful told me sales manager wouldn’t budge but if I would had came in a week before I could have got a better deal. The manager never introduced himself or reached out after I called later in the day to see if we could reach a deal . After being in sales and management for 25 years myself this really surprised me . Maybe since I wanted to pay cash and wasn’t interested in the protection plan caused his lack of interest. Just feel bad for the sales people who depend on them to make a living . Overall I feel a little effort on their part could have made the difference. Not everyday you find a sales manager not interested in selling . Luckily plenty of other businesses to spend thousands of dollars at ! Living room was just the start .

We were so excited about the Laurel manor table and chairs we got at Babcock but after a year two of the chairs are completely falling apart. We use our set everyday and I chose the design because it looked so sturdy. The bench is great but the table has to be adjusted every time we use the extensions and I have to go under the table with a hammer. Anyways its too late now but Id avoid Babcock if youre looking for functional and long lasting. 😬

We are fairly new to Greenville and were concerned about a defected Serta mattress (it began a deep sag) we purchased in 2018 from the Waynesville NC store. Upon calling Waynesville Badcock they directed me to the Winterville store and said they would handle our complaint just as if it were purchased there and honor the 10 yr warranty. That they did!!!! Not once but twice, I might add! After I returned the at home mattress inspection kit mailed to me, RJ, the store manager promptly called me on his day off and told me to go in and pick my new mattress. He said Wanda would take good care of us. I will say I was a bit disappointed that choices were limited. Maybe 5 to choose from? This store didn’t carry Serta at all and was sad to see that Sealy really didn’t have one that was close to the comfortable cooling pillow top before it began to sag. The best few of those choices were quite a bit more pricey as well. However, sleeping in a sag was no longer an option. We chose and even opted for a new adjustable base, the new mattress delivery was prompt, I’d say 5 days and we welcomed a comfortable nights sleep. Sadly for me that didn’t happen. Although I was the one to make the final call on the bed…. My husband can sleep on anything, it seemed to lack support once it was laid on for a while, by mornings I was miserable with back pain. I thought I’d give my body time to adjust and slept on it for almost 2 weeks. I can sadly say my body may have liked the sagging bed better. I dreaded calling back to the store, I think I cried twice during the whole experience of explaining how miserable the new choice left me. I spoke with Wanda who called me back after speaking with RJ and once again we were bed shopping. I did choose another plush level, the Sealy firm just felt a bit to hard. But after researching the paddings I felt like the Bankers Hill was a bit more supportive than the Stockwell we first chose. Their was a bit of confusion on the posted pricing at first, which I think was my second cry episode but Wanda was quick to talk to RJ again and get it all cleared up. Goldilocks finally found her bed!!! Morning One after that choice arrived I had little to no back pain and now several weeks later I don’t even miss the old mattress before the defect. I was so happy in fact I announced on Facebook my love of Badcock, every single team member I came in contact for and their good customer service and just a genuine care and desire for the customer to be happy once they get home as well. Thank you Badcock in Winterville as well as Waynesville NC for taking care of my family for many years now. You will continue to have our business and if I have anything to do with it then the business of my friends and family as well!!!

Ordered furniture that was supposed to be delivered last Saturday told me they would call when being delivered and never did. I called 4 times. Finally someone called at 2:00 and said that they would be at my house by 4:00. I wasted the entire day. Then one piece did not come in and they called today to deliver between 3:00 and 6:00. I work til 5:00. I cancelled the delivery and re-scheduled for Saturday but called back and said let’s keep it today because I didn’t want to waste another whole Saturday. The girl who I spoke with said they couldn’t change it back. It’s only 1:00. Then she was so rude and kept talking over me. Very difficult place to deal with. Would definitely not recommend.

Lisa was very friendly when I went into purchase a washer /Dryer set. She was very fast I was in and out of the store in less than a hour. Also the delivery drivers that mad the delivery. I was called prior to the dropping of my set and once they arrived both drivers was very friendly an d pleasant. They also had on there mask so that was a PLUS for sure.

If you’re looking for a uncomfortable unprofessional experience in customer service then head over to this location. My experience hasn’t been good as far as dealing with employees at this location. The furniture store itself looked clean so no issues there however. I don’t have a delivery time. I called the store, the employee who answered said we just opened and decided not to help me because they just opened. I called early so I can know what time they were delivering my items. Why would I wait to call? I wanted to call at 9am so I can have everything ready and out the way for a good delivery. I thought everyone is supposed to receive a confirmation text or call on when the delivery is suppose to happen. I haven’t received anything. Only thing I did know was it’s suppose to be Saturday.....it’s your job to help a customer whether I’m the first customer to call or the last. I’m calling during Normal business hours. Which says opens at 9a.m. I’ll update my review after my delivery is complete.

Horrific experience with overall level of services. In mid May purchased dining table with 6 chairs. Delivery was mid June; deliver was 2 chairs short and I was told chairs were on back order. Since then I have been going round and round with store trying to find out information; when you try calling the store it rings and rings and nobody answers. Have to keep trying for like 30 minutes repeatedly until someone finally answers. Other times Ive had to physically drive to the store seeking information. Ive been told chairs are back ordered until October and that they are trying to located them in another store. I never receive call back with update, I always have to call and find out information. Finally on Monday when I called (again it took at least 30 minutes of repeatedly calling before phone was answered at store) I was told theyd located the chairs and that they would be at the store on Wednesday and delivered on Thursday.Today comes; no calls from the store regarding delivery. Same issue again trying to get through, had to call and called repeatedly for over 30 minutes before anyone answers the phone. And then what do I learn? Chairs never arrived as planned yesterday, thus no delivery today. Could anyone have called me yesterday to tell me this so that I did not take today off from work for nothing?The product itself is good. The customer experience, lack of communication and lack of response is absolutely horrific, worst I have ever experienced from any business. Never once in this entire process have they called or reached out with any update or anything, the only time I find out any information is when I go through the effort of getting in touch with them.

I went here to purchase new mattresses and the sales rep was clueless about which mattresses were firm or soft. He didnt know which would be best for a person with back problems. If your selling something you have to know what your selling and whats best for the customer.

The people in this store seem lazy and don’t care if they help you or not. They will also tell you what you want to hear and make excuses when you inquire about deliveries. They also can’t be bothered with answering a telephone and will prop themselves up on the backs of sofas in their store and browse their cell phones while a phone is constantly ringing. This will be my first and last purchase from this store! I don’t know how you stay in business 🤷🏻‍♂️

Brandon was SUPER nice and helpful. Unfortunately, we were NOT greeted at all upon walking in despite there being FIVE employees sitting at a table in front of the door. Eventually I heard one of them holler for Brandon and after a few minutes of looking around dumbstruck someone asked if we needed help. It was really quite appalling and the reason I will likely not be buying anything from Badcock.

Its sucks how you have to call them to check up on your reorder stuffs, which that didnt bother me as much. Im not the person to complain about stuff but when the delivery guys run into your gate and one of them laugh about it. Then you have to call the store to see what they are going to do about it instead of them calling you back and apologizing about the incident. I had to send them picture of the gate 3 times to their email. Now they are telling me its a process they take to repair the gate. I ask for the corporate number to see if the process can speed up. Now they are telling me to speed up the process is that I can get an estimate of how much the gate is, on getting repaired. Why do I have to get an estimate Im not the one that broke the gate?? Its crazy to me. The staff is very friendly and have great customer services but why am I talking to one of them instead to a manager about this problem. Crazy... signed a very upset and disappointed black, white, Italian, Hispanic woman.

We purchased a couch and a table back in July. We were HIGHLY pleased with the whole process. Up until we had an issue with our couch where we had to purchase new cushions. Originally we were told it was covered by our insurance plan. Then we were contacted and told they were wrong and that they had to be professionally cleaned. We asked about purchasing the cushions instead. We had to pay cash to get them ordered, seemed fishy, but we were assured we would get them in a few weeks. We started this process on February 8th,2020. We ordered the cushions February 21st,2020. As of March 19th,2020, no cushions, the store manager seems to never be in, Ive called corporate twice now, put in two negative complaints and I’m sitting on hold now for the third call to corporate. We just keep getting told they will locate and let us know. And RJ Moore would contact us. We tried to handle it at store level. Mrs. Ann was great at first and then had a terrible ATTITUDE, she told me the manager would contact me. Nothing. Called a few days later, a lady answered when I asked could I speak to him she said they were swamped but he wasn’t in. I was sitting in the parking lot, had just walked in and had no help. They were all joking around. At this rate I wouldn’t recommend this company especially not this location to ANYONE. We have contacted the local police department to figure out our next steps.

Great sales people, and the manager was extremely helpful! I was looking to buy a new bedroom set for my guest room, and was able to get a mattress too, and the payments were very low. They have a pretty good selection of almost everything. In fact, Ill be going back soon to buy a new living room set.

Buyer beware. I purchased a stove and refrigerator from here. I sent both the first ones back because I ordered online and it was flimsy for the price. The second stove was ok, I picked it out n the store. It still had a little dent where the knobs are and one of the burners dont fit right but I had been without my appliances for a few days since I was told my stuff had to be moved out before they could bring theirs. Well the second refridgerator had a big hole in the bottom of freezer door that had been filled with some kind of white putty like the first one had and scratches all over it when you shine a flashlight on it Also it didnt seal because water beads were all in freezer after it cooled.I didnt see the big hole under the freezer door until after they left and called them immediately to come get it which still took about a week. When they brought the 3rd one the driver came to the door before he brought it in and asked me to go look at it. I said right then NO I do not want it and no need to bring another one. At this point I was done. The whole bottom on the 3rd one was dented in. I asked for the manager to call me back but it never happened. I paid them off today for the stove and told the lady I would not be back . This has been a total nightmare. Its been about 5 or 6 months and I still dont have a refrigerator but its going to get better. The choice is yours but the best thing I can tell you is what someone told me after the fact. Demand that your goods be delivered in the box or just maybe youre paying full price for a repo or something they fixed to sale. Idk but something is not right there. And inspect every inch of it. Look for glue, putty or damage before you sign the papers. The sales people were great and the delivery people but It seems like bad management or something shady idk. Good luck

Theyre not very good with keeping appointments or repairing their property that is under warranty. I cant honestly recommend anyone to purchase anything from them. We bought a couch and daybed which was suppose to be delivered on the same day. Well, the couch came and the daybed did not. The delivery guys said that the store should have called. Well, should have is the operative words in this sentence because it didnt happen. We called and found out the daybed would come the following week. Which it really ended up being a week and a half. It came and broke 3 days later...this was the first week of August. They came out to check it and said they needed to order replacement parts. Well, its a week from October and were still waiting on the replacement parts. Again, I cant with a good conscience recommend them to anyone.

My experience with Badcock has been terrible. They told me an item was in stock when I bought it. I called back the next day and they said no its not here but in their warehouse hours away. I said to change the date to Friday when I called corporate. They said they could come Thursday then changed to Friday when I couldnt come thurs. its Friday morning of delivery and they called to tell me they broke my headboard to my bed set and I would have to wait until next Wednesday. That Friday they delivered my dresser and mirror in good shape but the couch smelled like they smoked a carton and blew the smoke on it. Fast forward to Wednesday and they said delivery would be 2 to 6 and that theyll give me a 30 min. heads up. They came at 6:32 and left without calling me before or when they were present. Mom called the store and they said they would comeback before the store closed. I waited until 10:30 pm and no one came. I called corporate numerous times to talk about compensation. Each time they said theyll call me back but didnt. The store manager was suppose to call me a week ago but hes always out the office.

I bought a kitchen table from them back in feb/march. The table is crafted of poorly made wood. Why I didnt recognize this initially I dont know. It chips very easily, very disappointing. I had to take 3 of the 4 chairs I purchased back for damage and repair. You would think I would be smart enough not to purchase there again. In my maybe it was just a bad selection train of thought I just bought an Italian leather loveseat gliding rocker recliner from them. It was delivered 12/18/16 by 12/25/16 I realized one side was not rocking as it should. I paid $69.95 for delivery and set up and now Im having to go through the process of them repairing or replacing the chair. Im a single parent and I try to get the most bang for my buck but I have to revert back to the old saying. You get what you pay for and I no longer will take the less expensive route and purchase from Badcock. I have not had any issues with customer service but I also am very detailed and keep all documentation so theres little chance for them to deny me correcting their errors. Just lost this customer. I just purchased a home so I have plenty of furnishing to do but I can assure you it wont be from Badcock.

Awful awful in every way. I planned to purchase multiple rooms of furniture at BADCOCK. Even if they were offering free furniture I would not go in BADCOCK FURNITURE ever again. The only thing they do well is grab your money. Ordered a kitchen set several months ago. One chair they broke putting together on the truck and one was defective. I still have a kitchen table missing chairs. Being new to the area I was shocked to observe the lack of respect that the staff has for customers. As I was working out delivery I observed a male sales associate joke to a female associate as a quite elderly lady came in using a cane, he then laughingly said, Heres one for ya, back problems for sure, go sell her a mattress. The lady had barely gotten in the door. As they both chuckled I got the feeling they waiting to pounce on the next customer, felt as if I too $$$ only. Lost a day from work waiting for bunk beds that never arrived. They had multiple justifications as to why they were running late. The order wasnt even on the truck! That was the fault of the guys that load their trucks according to the delivery people.I MUST ADMIT I LIKE MY TABLE BUT WOULD NEVER PURCHASE A SINGLE PIECE OF FURNITURE THERE AGAIN. Our sales lady, M**y was limited help and Id immediately let go the man who thought profiling a customer was amusing. AND TO THE MAN WITH ALL THE GOLD CHAINS THAT WE HELPED YOU PURCHASE...less chains and invest in a business where you dont have customers posting this type of review.

I only gave it one star, because Google Maps requires me to at least give it one star before posting a review; they deserve no stars. This is literally the WORST place to go for furniture of any kind. What they do is, they find places out of state that are going out of business, or places that have defective furniture, and buy it up real cheap, then sell you this low grade, busted quality merchandise for a lot more than its really worth. When you try to point out anything thats wrong with their merchandise, they will accuse you of breaking it yourself. If you bring anything back, Im talking you loaded this heavy piece of furniture into your vehicle, got it home, found out they screwed you, then loaded it up again to bring back and show them [with photos documenting the process, no less] they will make it absolutely the worst experience, stating that you probably did this yourself. Dont buy anything from this place. Youre better off buying dirty, beaten up furniture from some homeless crackhead in a dark alley that probably just stole someones U-Haul, at least then youll know what to expect, and youll get exactly what you paid for, as opposed to the exact same thing at a higher price from Badcock. Do you want roaches and bedbugs? Because Badcock is how you get roaches and bedbugs.
