My car needed body work after an accident. Ive seen this shop mentioned on Facebook and decided to give them a try. Very glad I did! They were super professional, timely and communicated with me throughout the whole process. They picked up my car for me so I didnt have to drive out to the shop. The repairs were done well and much faster than I was expecting. They even cleaned and vacuumed the car before returning it to me!Highly recommend!

Being relatively new to the area, I was wary of mechanics and people working on my truck I had just gotten (2003 stick Tacoma) because I figured people would try to find a million problems with it and nickel and dime me. Igor and the other mechanics were knowledgeable, professional, and extremely helpful. Instead of beating around the bush, he got right to the point on what was wrong and possible fixes. He suggested minor cheap fixes such as replacing my gas cap and running Cataclean through my engine instead of going right to the heavy hitter of replacing the catalytic converter, which luckily solved the problem. One abs sensor was busted along with a vacuum switching valve and a bad bearing. Each problem was solved time efficiently, fairly priced, and using quality parts. I was impressed that the bad bearing was able to be fixed in one day while I was at work. Now the check engine light is gone and my truck drives like a dream. It’s clear that Igor and his staff are professionals that care about quality and customer satisfaction. I’m glad to have found a mechanic with the combination of integrity and know how. Autodome is where I’ll be bringing my truck from now on.

I’ve got a warning message about my engine and went to Meineke for diagnostic and got an estimate on work my car is needed. Something tells me not to go with their recommendations yet I’ve agreed on letting them change the oil. I waited until the oil and the filter were changed, paid the invoice, and left. I was looking for a trustworthy shop and luckily were referred to Autodome. I decided that the recommendation is worth 30 minutes drive and have no regrets. Igor and his terrific mechanic checked my car thoroughly and found that the oil I thought was changing 10 days ago, in reality, was not changed! Imagine my surprise. Thank you, Autodome for being honest and transparent when dealing with your customers. I know now where to bring my car.

I’m new to the area and had gone to Firestone here in IL, as I had used them back in MN, for an oil change and left with a new tire. Well my car never felt right after that visit and the other day several of my lights came on in regards to my wheels and it honestly felt like my tire was going to fall off. As Igor said, God brought me to Autodome at the right time because my tire was actually going to FALL OFF and I could have been in a serious accident because my lug nuts weren’t tightened correctly. There is something about a family owned business that corporate companies can’t compete with. Igor made me feel welcome and explained everything to me to help me understand what was wrong and what was recommended. My parents gave me their car so I could follow my dream of being a doctor so it’s a big deal who I trust it with and that it works! I can’t praise the Autodome family enough for taking care of my car and making sure it was once again safe to drive! You bet I’ll be sending everyone your way for their service and repairs. Despite being located in Chicago, I took my car to AutoDome in Waukegan because of trusted recommendations. Igor was professional and provided frequent updates. The price was reasonable and the body repair and paint job was high quality. As a convenience during the shelter in place, the car was disinfected and dropped off at my house so that it was a contact free service. I should have written about this business many years ago, but I was hoping that the owner would have a conscience. I made a mistake in my expectations, and therefore put an end to it (big and bold).The owner of the business, Igor Miler, is the rarest rascal. And therefore, he can do perfectly only two things: The first is to brag and second is squeeze money from the client. Its first quality is of little interest, but it is easier to notice, then the second, it is more difficult. Here you need experience in dealing with this rogue. At half of all times He cheated on prices promised by him for his work, so at the end of the work he began to cry and lament what he calculated less then he should, and therefore, he needs to be given more money. In percent, it is from 30 to even 70%. And so he weeps with reproach and with arguments that exposes his clients to almost cheating on him, most unfortunate. And yes, I’m talking about his disrespect for even the “contract” in the form of an estimate signed by him for the upcoming work. And he will never take up work until a deposit is paid for it and all the papers are signed. In other words, he not only insures himself, but also reinsures himself. But how to insure ourself against him, when even an estimate for him means nothing? And at the end of his work, he, with the talent of a theater artist worthy of playing on Broadway, begins to convince the client that he has ridiculed such a wonderful person like him! Perhaps I’ll say a few words about his boasting, but not in the expected context, because it would be boring, but in that when he boasted that if, say, other mechanics break something during the repair process, then this is their OBVIOUS fault, other mechanics, for which they supposedly should be responsible financially or in the form of additional time - while working on the correction of their own mistake. But then, I was convinced that finding himself literally in the same situation about which he had boasted, comparing himself with other mechanics, he demanded more money for the work, which, due to his own fault, had fallen on him, thanks to his oversight. But since I started to tell, they should say about the third, relatively new scheme, through which Igor earns money - this is a daring impudence. I called it “daring” because I simply send this businessman to hell with it. Now, he no longer discusses the appropriateness of one or another of his actions. If earlier, he approached his work with creativity ( Russian school), thereby trying to please the client and show creativity, but now, after many years, he has completely adopted the American style of work, thereby becoming an ordinary mechanic. Namely, he began to offer to change everything in the car with whole layers. And if you have a breakdown, the cause of which is not obvious, He will begin the diagnosis not from simple to complex, but from complex to simple. Thus, already in the process of diagnosis, he makes good money on you. But that is not all. He will offer, replace as much as possible, in an effort to eliminate the problem. And for all your reasonable arguments and perplexities why you need so much attendant work, he will play the next scene of the offended and misunderstood genius in the automotive industry and say that he does not have time to tell everyone in detail why all this excessive work is necessary. The clients spoiled Igor, and now he himself admits that now he only wants to be given the keys to the car, without asking him any related questions, and then that he will only return the keys after his work has been paid in excess. No questions asked! At all!I can say that I am very sorry that I once recommended his business to my friends, instead of immediately understanding with the bitter example of the person who brought me to Igor himself and whom Igor deceived in his expectations. And as it turned out, the price of that was the purchase of a new, already second, transmission, after the repair by Igor the first one. Alas, I did not learn from it...

This is your ultimate one stop shop. Igor and his mechanics can tackle any problem you have, I have trusted them with all three vehicles I have owned while being stationed in the Great Lakes area. They’ve handled my sports car that is very low to the ground, and my truck that’s lifted. Both heavily modified, challenging projects for a shop to take on and they have always been eager to do it. They are extremely fair on their prices and handle things within a very realistic timeframe. They are also very resourceful, and will go whatever route is best for the customer while doing the best quality job. As Igor told me today, “ If I can’t do a quality job, I won’t accept the job.” They’ll save you time, money, and give you comfort that you’ll always have a reliable shop to take care of any problems your vehicles have. I went there recommended by a coworker to get my clutch replaced. During there removal of the transmission they cracked my starter and so I had to buy a new one. Now this is understandable because it is an old BMW. However once I got the car back I drove it home and it died. I immediately called them and asked why they think it could have died. They had no idea. I took it to another shop and found out that Autodome had forgotten to plug in the starter cable and I was driving around with a live 12v cable bouncing around.

I went there after looking at the online reviews. I had a very bad and frustrated experience. I had to get my rear bumper replaced due to an accident. They charged X$ for a new bumper and labor including paint. However, after 2 days of replacement i observed that the bumper had broken at the exact same spot again. I had a suspicion that they had simply ended up patching up the old bumper rather than installing a new one as promised. I went back to the shop and confronted them with my theory. This time I asked them for the old bumper to be shown to me after the bumper replacement. After looking at the old bumper and the accident patches, Glue patches it has I got to a confirmation that I was cheated Big Time.

I went to Auto Dome the first time out of frustration. My car started acting funny on me a few days after getting it back from an auto body shop that I frequented in the past. When I called the shop to inform them that my car was making the same noise I had just paid them $400 to fix, the manager told me to bring it back and he would look at it. Of course two days later he called me back to inform me that it was not what they fixed before but in fact was another $400 problem they could fix in a few days. Of course I declined. I went online and found other auto body shops and found Auto Dome. I read the reviews and gave it a shot.When I met Igor he was very welcoming and sympathetic to my frustration. I explained what happen at the other place and why I was coming to him. He introduced me to the mechanic that was going to work on my car and told me he would find the problem. He explained that they would check over the whole car so it would take a bit of time. He offered me a ride home so I wouldnt have to wait there. His wife (who is just as nice as he) indeed gave me ride to my house. Igor called me just a few hours later and informed me that it WAS NOT another problem but in fact the SAME problem they did crapy work on. He told me the price that included parts service and tax. I almost fell over... It was 1/2 the price of the other shop. He told me a time he would be done and I gave him the go ahead for the fix.Sure enough at the time he said he would be done he was. The mechanic came out, showed me the parts they took off, walked me back and showed me the parts they put on and explained to me everything. He was very informative about the process and explained it in a way I would understand. He told me I should go back to the place, bring back the crapy parts and get some type of refund. Of course I did no such thing. I stopped going to that other shop all together. Igor and Auto Dome has been my shop ever since.When my car has a problem big or small I take it right to Auto Dome and let them go to work! All of my repairs are done in a timely manner, and at a great price. Everyone there is professional and very nice. I feel so glad to write a review for Mr. Igor Miller and his great AutoDome Team! I have moved from Boston to IL and have a Chrysler Sebring. The machine is old so would have problems due to wear and tear. But when you have experienced people like Igor Sir then you don’t need to worry at all. To me he is a doctor of the machines. Please note folks that DO NOT MISTAKE AUTODOME FOR A MECHANIC SHOP – IT IS MIGHTER THAN WHAT YOU THINK; ITS AN ENGINEERING SHOP. Mr Igor ain’t like an ordinary mechanic and his professional commitment and business conduct is very honest and up to the mark, to me it is beyond the expectations. He is an experiences Engineer that used his expertise and skills from identifying the problem in the machine to the cost effective solutions available and unlike the other big fake dealership names he does not befool the client by telling you lies that OHHH GOD THIS PART ALSO NEEDS TO BE REPLACED or Blah Blah. The Autodome is all about the honesty and a fair trade. The team would treat your vehicle as if it is theirs and will pamper it like their own kid. I had a problem with the alternator making noise, I took a day off from the work and travelled from elk grove village to Waukegan to these Engineers. My day off was worth – the problem was found, fixed, the part ordered and replaced in less than 2 hours. They explained me what the problem was, what could be the possible dangers associated with the defective alternator, what is the role of alternator and not like the dealership names who just try to keep you blind and loot your pocket. I was shown the defective alternator and they explained me how it is working wrong as well but did not force me to replace it rather left me to decide what to do. Furthermore, they told me of all the possible alternator prices from various dealers and helped me to find the cheapest deal as well. Finally my machine is working great. I am happy and satisfied. From me the Auto Dome gets 5/5 stars based on customer satisfaction, quality service and cost effectiveness.Thank you AutoDome!

I was a graduate medical student at RFUMS in north chicago for 4 years and I was a customer of Autodome for the 4 years that I lived there. I own an 80s toyota truck that has been in the family my entire life and it means the world to me, but it is continually breaking. Every time it breaks Igor Miller and his team have quickly and accurately diagnosed the problem(s) and have fixed my truck back to Like-New functioning condition in a VERY timely manner for a VERY VERY reasonable price. He has fixed/replaced the top end of my 22RE engine from the head gasket all the way to the valve cover including camshafts, rocker arms, rocker arm shafts, valves etc. He has fixed my electronic ignition system, replaced my master and slave cylinder to my clutch, my front end suspension, my exhaust system, fuel filters, and the list could go on for days.-- Igor and his team are fully capable of diagnosing and fixing every automotive problem. I have spent easily 5 times the value of my truck in repair bills at Autodome, and i would do it all again in a heartbeat. I trust Igor and his team explicitly 100% the way you trust your mother or father to babysit your infant child. Igor goes out of his way to obtain the highest quality parts at the best price to do the job correctly, and he spends an inordinate amount of his time on the phone to find these parts. He is professional, courteous, passionate and genuinely cares about every aspect of the service he provides. He ALWAYS has time to talk in person or on the phone and he treats his customers like royalty. He takes the time to explain every issue at length with you, and he is never rude or short when asked to repeat something or to elaborate on an issue in more depth that you did not understand.--I could write a Novel of praise and recommendation on behalf of Igor and his team at Autodome. The bottom line is that if you are here on google looking for a mechanic, look no further. I had my truck towed multiple times from downtown chicago all the way to Waukegan because his service is that valuable to me. If I had stayed in chicago for medical residency and a future job I would be a lifetime customer of Igors until the day he retired.

Drove down from Milwaukee to look at at a used vehicle at a dealership nearby and they were able to fit me in to check do a body and mechanical check on it for me before I pulled the trigger. Igor (the owner) and his technician were very straightforward and thorough and allowed me to be present for the entire evaluation. They showed me all the issues without any discussion of the asking price, exact cost of repairs, or their opinion on the vehicle. Just straight, honest facts about the condition and what it indicated about the previous owner and their likely treatment of the vehicle.I couldnt have found a better place to bring it to and in the end they saved me from taking home the wrong vehicle for me. Cant say enough good things about them, no wonder they have such great reviews here which is how I found them in the first place. If Im back in the area looking at another vehicle I know exactly where to take it for the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth.
