I know nothing about whiskey but wanted to impress my boss who does. (Its his birthday in a couple days.) I did a bit of googling and decided to get him a bottle of Sazerac Rye whiskey 18 year old.Apparently, that was my first mistake. Its rare and very hard to find. I ended up contacting the distiller and they gave me a list of places that they sell to in DC. Problem solved, right? Not. At. All.No one has it. They only ship it once a year and in very limited quantities. After a few moments of regret, I called here. The first person who answered couldnt hear me and passed me off to the second person, who couldnt understand me and passed me off to the store manager. This literally all happened within the span of 1.5 seconds of the call. I felt downtrodden.But to my surprise, the store manager was super patient while I HAD to relay my entire ordeal to him. He explained they didnt have it in stock but took a few minutes to tell me about a good alternative that they did have in stock.The store is located in the corner of the shopping center, right of the Liquor sign. It seemed pretty spacious inside although I went straight to the counter and bought my amazingly thoughtful gift.As I was checking out, I asked about possible accompaniments and he even gave me some really good suggestions. I thought, Great! Ill go pick up some chocolate on my way home. Im so awesome. I was not awesome.I had a mini crisis in the chocolate aisle. I couldnt decide on the exact flavor and called the store again. Yeah, Im that annoying person that takes a mile when given an inch. Got hung up on the first try but I didnt let that deter me. Called right back and spoke to the store manager again. I could tell they were busy but he took the time to walk me through which flavors of chocolate he thought would best compliment the whiskey based on my current selection.Seriously, I couldnt have asked for a better customer service experience! We always are so quick to post negative reviews but rarely take time to thank others for going above and beyond. So, thank you!

This store has most of what you need for a party. They seem to know most of the people that come in. They also have a decent selection of vodka and beer, but for chasers you may have to go to the 7-Eleven that is in the same complex.

You can shop for pizza, dinners, liquor and convince store, 1 stop for all your pleasures.
