Ive walked past this joint for what seems like an eternity, but Ive never had the chance to go inside and check out the greatness. At first glance, it reminded me of a slimmed down version of the typical chain grocery store spread out across the city. There were a few shoppers inside on this Tuesday morning, and mostly what I saw were the workers busy stocking shelves. Some of the items that I came across seemed slightly high in price, but Im pretty sure this is the case everywhere in DC now. Higher prices = part of the fun! I think that this store has pretty much everything one would expect in a grocery store. They have a well-stacked produce section, as well as, general produce. I even noticed a cooler dedicated for Ben & Jerrys ice cream. The price for the ice cream wasnt discernable, but as long as its not more than $7.00, I would be cool with that! Nice place, nice vibe!

Came here for the sushi but it was all gone! I hear it’s fantastic but not fit for late night patrons much to my dismay. I ended up with an orzo salad. I appreciate the bright vegan labeling and the store has a good selection of not-your-average grocery store selection. I was especially pleased with the Asian food section. I’ll be coming back next time I need specialty items.

Good morning, I am a customer of your store and it was unpleasant to witness an unpleasant event last Sunday 09/05/2021, where a tall Asian-looking worker in a green shirt yells at another coworker that in this case it is a woman and then you see how he pitched a blender glass and almost hit the womans head and he kept yelling at her, and its actually a bad and unpleasant experience that I witnessed, and well I hope in the future I wont witness so much again. unpleasant event. Have a nice day.

Been going here since they opened this location. It holds a special place in my heart, so I do love it personally. Prices can sometimes feel high for things like frozen goods and alcohol, but for actual groceries, I feel like theyre great. I also feel like their meat and fish prices are some of the best around! Its also worth mentioning that they are Korean-owned (Im like 90% sure), so they carry a number of harder to find Korean and Asian products. Worth coming for well-priced groceries and for Asian products, Id say. Otherwise, probably better elsewhere, tbh.Their deli/hot food/kitchen/cafe/whatever you wanna call it is alright. Sushi is well priced and Ive like it in the past. Ive had their wings, subs, and the Reuben. All their food here used to be leagues better, and that is no exaggeration. Its just okay right now. Above average, maybe? As for COVID-19 concerns, theyre pretty up-to-par. I myself take more precautions than I see most people taking, and I feel okay coming here.

I have made this my go to grocery store since COVID started. Aside from the overly polite staff, the store is clean, well-stacked, convenient, and surprisingly diverse in products. The only qualm i have is with their produce which is...questionable at best. However, being a previous small market manager, I do understand that this is probably sure to turnover of goods and not everyone is going to Streets to buy their cilantro etc. Overall, three prices are a little higher than big box stores but its much faster and Id rather support a smaller biz anyway.

They have great produce but the employees there were not pleasant at all. I literally just asked other shoppers for help. I am not sure of the cashier was Korean but he was thee worst. No greeting as you enter and definitely no smile ( even though he wore a mask). Also, the arrangement of the store was pretty odd too as the animal food was on the shelves next to the human snacks. The cashier bagged my bread with hard items and no one said have a good day or thank you, well I did hoping it will rub off on the employees. They are a bit pricey too.

Convenient for me as I live two blocks away. They sell beer and wine. It is like a smaller version of Whole Foods. Lots of gourmet food items. I would suggest checking the price before placing an item in your cart as it could be expensive. Huge selection of cheeses. While the checkout line may be long, it goes pretty fast as there are usually more than one cashier working, unlike at some other markets. There is a prepared foods counter, which has changed offerings over time, but It seems to close early though.

We live about 400 feet from Streets and have gone there dozens of times of the past few years. I must say that it has always been a pleasant experience! The prices are not inexpensive (though wine/beer and the deli counter are reasonably priced) but it is extremely convenient and what’s there is generally of high quality. We normally go to nearby Harris Teeter or Trader Joe’s for the bast majority of our grocery shopping and go to Streets to pick up things we forgot to get or things we crave, like ice cream. We really like Streets!

This is a store that does just enough of everything. Its not super cheap, but I disagree with other reviewers who say it is expensive. They have a decent selection of wine & beer, meats, produce, normal grocery staples. Their prepared foods and deli counter are good. I have found their staff to be consistently friendly and helpful. After several years of going to Safeway, MOMs Organic, Trader Joes, and Whole Foods, I find Streets to be a good mix national brands, local and organic, and ethnic food. Its not huge, but just enough of everything Im looking for.

Fresh fruits and vegetables, friendly and helpful staff, and generally fair prices on most products are reasons my wife and I shop here. Some items are more expensive when compared to other nearby supermarkets, but the variety of items offered makes up for the price differences. Great local market! They have a pretty good variety of produce and their meat prices are excellent. They have a fairly good selection of Asian foods also which is great! Im still undecided on the deli as $8.99 for my chicken wrap was a little steep. Their pasta sauce are excellent, especially the mushroom carbonara! I purchased turkey that was on sale because the expiration date was in 2 days. Well when I got home and opened the package, the meat was very much expired. I kept the receipt but kept forgetting to bring it in. I asked an employee and she said not to worry, that I could bring in the receipt whenever for a discount. I eventually brought it in after 29 days had passed. I said I didnt want a refund, just store credit. They refused and said that for meat you can only make returns within 1 day. Thats the only problem Ive had here though and I will shop in the future. But I will no longer buy their meat! Everything else about this place is great.

It’s pricy, sort of Whole Foods prices with a decent selection. I wouldn’t do a shop, but it’s nice to have around for a one-off last-minute needs. The staff is friendly. It would be great if they had espresso drinks since there isn’t a local, non-chain place super close by for that. They have fresh pasta, a good selection of beer and wine, refrigerated stuff, expensive fruit, toiletries, etc.

This is one of the truly horrible grocery stores I have ever visited. We stopped here briefly to pick up some snacks, and asked the one of the staff members to point us to a water fountain if they had one. The staff member started rudely yelling from across the store that they dont have one, and started behaving as if I was not welcome at there. I felt dismissed and disrespected as a customer. Will never return there!! So much for supporting local overpriced businesses! 😡

I go to this store occasionally as I live one block from it. The grocery aspect of this store is fine. It is expensive but that is expected in a store like this. The cafe, however, is a joke and the staff is anything but helpful. First of all they only serve breakfast items until 12pm on the weekends. Second, today we ordered two sandwiches and they were absolutely soaked in the dressing that came on them. Besides that the ingredients were underwhelming and didn’t seem fresh considering the price. You’d be better off going to the gas station on 14th and w (panino gourmet) to get a decent sandwich.

Streets has the essentials of a neighborhood bodega, though this is defintiely not a low key place - they have a wide wine and beer selection (for their size), as well as fresh fruit and vegetables and other groceries. The array of groceries means that they will likely have whatever item youve forgotten to pick up earlier, thout the price wont be quite as low as other grocers. They also have a small cafe area with some asian specialties and sandwiches.
