The price, portion and quality all are on par. You pay for what you get! The employees were attentive, the store was clean and the gelato is DELICIOUS! The outdoor seating of the storefront is a nice spot to relax or you can walk around in the shopping area. I got the Swiss chocolate and hazelnut it was superb! A small size is plenty after dinner.

You can never go wrong with gelato in beautiful city center DC! Also, free samples are a plus. Very delicious, rich, and guilty gelato. Staff was very patient and had great recommendations.

I ordered flat white, the barista did a good job, the cup is very good. However, the coffee itself is pretty mediocre, the flat white could’ve been much better if the coffee is better

Simply Fabulous!!! The most delicious ice cream and an Instagram worthy safe out door place to eat it! The staff were friendly and knowledgeable. The line moved quickly. There were a couple of little tables and chairs and several more inside the courtyard.

Im hesitating between 3 and 4. My latte and Gelato were tasty. However, my friends cookie was old and not tasty.Overall, I think the place could have been decorated more. Especially the bathroom. Everything is basic and unappealing thats hard for me to imagine myself coming there often to work/study and have a cup of coffee at the same time. I would want to hang out inside the coffee shop.Overall, I think this place has a great potential. Please just make this place more pretty.

Ordered plum sorbet, hazelnut, dark chocolate and dulce ice cream. Bit pricey for an ice cream but it tastes good. Will be trying some place else next time tho. Enjoyed sorbet and hazelnut. Good gelato but even better sorbet, likely heavily biased here. Due to Covid, day goodbye to taste testing unfamiliar flavors. The plum sorbet is refreshingly sweet and slightly tangy. The mango sorbet seems muted in sweetness and flavor. The gelato, seems like gelato. Not sure if its much different from other gelato

The workers here make problems out of nothing and they do nothing about real problems....good ice cream/Gelato but run by ill left tards. Sat outside, it started to rain and moved my OUTSIDE table under the canopy and the crazy il tard workers here told me that the outside table was not socially distant even though no one else was outside. The workers here had an anxiety attack a couple and was about to put me in a gulag.

Tried three different Gelato flavors. All three were very good. We had the dark chocolate, coffee and cookie, and one with caramel. Also tried the iced lattes, nice strong coffee flavor to them.Two small issues. We ordered a large and a small iced latte and were given two drinks of the exact same size. When I pointed it out the guy making drinks said they were filled to different levels, but they absolutely were not. Also, for some reason they dont call out the order number. They just call out what drink they made. So when its busy no one knows if its their order or not. I dont understand why you wouldnt just call out the order number on the receipt. I saw this cause a lot of confusion that could have easily been avoided. But, the food and drinks were great so Ill definitely be back.

The cappuccino was very good; a rich complexity without any bitterness. The only issue is that it was served too hot and I got a slight burn on my tongue. Otherwise it was perfect.

I was having a bad day and came in there to try and cheer myself up. The gelato is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G but the customer service was even better! The cashier there named Jai was just so sweet as she was so patient and understanding. We had a good conversation and my day was instantly 10x better! Dolcezza teaches their employees to be great to the customers for sure!

Stopped by this location while in search of dessert in the area. There is an option to try 3 different flavors of gelato at once, which is great way to try several flavors. There was a line, but it moved fairly quickly. Will definitely return to this location.

Terrible place for coffee.They charge an extra $1 for less than 1oz of milk. Can you believe that?They also dont have regular sugar, just artificial sweeteners.If you fancy coffee, do yourself a favor and go somewhere else, even Starbucks is a better choice.

Its not Italy, but since Im not going there any time soon this was a good substitute. They have lots of delicious flavors and you can get two different flavors in a small.

Stopped by to try out the ice cream. The location is amazing and I loved that they have a unique selection of ice cream.It was delicious, but it didnt really taste like an actual gelato you could get in Italy. Still a nice place though and Id definitely go back!

Do yourself a favor and get the gelato. Some of the best Ive had. And the service was great. I went in with my little nieces and nephew and they can be a little crazy but the staff was wonderful with them.

On a normal day of the week, when the guy with the hair is making the drinks Id give this place a 5 star. My wife and I dropped in a few times a week for a vanilla bean or mocha iced and can expect fabulous customer service and quality tasting coffee. However tonight Im so sadden by the horrible coustmer service my wife and I received the young lady on the register even had the audacity to yell at my wife. The young lady on the drinks have us what tasted like a warm blended coffee. Weve lived in DC for a month, and have shopped here over 15xs tonight was by far the worst service ever received since moving here. 😕Ps. It might be best to only shop here in the morning when staff is much more friendly.

Let this serve as a lesson in how you treat people - first person to help my wife- lovely lady served gelato neatly with napkins. Marta on the other hand ruined the entire experience- handed me my gelato dripping down the sides, and pointed to where the napkins were. Then as we were trying to enjoy gelato she came to the closet by our table, wheeled a trash can out and next to our table while she rumbled for what she could to leave and go back to the serving gelato without washing hands. And then when i forgot to put my mask on to throw away my gelato cup she yelled across the restaurant to remind me?!? Really!!Gelato was ok- NY and SF has better.

We really enjoyed stopping in for a quick cup of coffee during our trip to DC. Dolce de Leche latte and vanilla bean latte both very good! Baristas were kind, thanks for a nice experience both stops! Seating outside gives you a view if the US Mint and an attractive shopping area.

Came here Saturday around 4pm for a quick iced coffee with my cousin. I ordered a small and a large however the guy at the counter rang me up for two smalls and I didn’t notice. When I received our items I looked at my receipt and noticed so at that moment I told the guy who made my drink “hey it was supposed to actually be a large and a small, if it’s that big of a deal I will pay the difference but this isn’t what I asked for” his response was “I mean that’s what you were rang up for and it’s only about two shots of milk difference from the small”I know my attitude and I realize he’s young so I chose to walk away from that situation because at the end of the day you’re stuck at work on Saturday so I get your attitude....however just because you don’t want to do your job and remake my drink it doesn’t mean you can get away with telling somebody what they want. I chose to be the bigger person in this situation bc I’m not a child... With that said, next time I ask for my drink to be remade and even offer to pay although it was no fault of my own I was rang up incorrectly, I expect it to be made bc I was beyond polite about it. Not many people will be the bigger person like I chose to....thanks.

Walked into this establishment and asked for a coffee but was told I can’t order a drip coffee after noon. I guess this is just a gelato shop, not a gelato and Coffee shop…

The gelato was good. But service could be better. The guy talking our orders was confused and gave as the wrong order. They asked as twice to confirm what we wanted. Otherwise it was okey. The tables outside were dirty though.

Gelato for breakfast? Yes for sure, only this place. The best gelato and coffee, nicest people who work here.

You really cant beat Dolcezza gelato in the summer. Their smooth and creamy recipe is to die for. I love their interesting flavors like black sesame and Thai coconut. Theyre classics like chocolate, espresso, and butter pecan are great too!Dolcezza is always a solid choice for coffee too and their pastries are delicious. Its a great place for people watching and the perfect place to sit when you need a break from shopping at City Center.

I personally enjoyed their gelato and their establishment.

EDITED —- jesus. I went back there last night. They don’t even wear gloves when they are scooping the gelato. Is this a joke? Still, they did not change the cup size.⚠️⚠️⚠️The gelato is amazing but they don’t know how to scoop ice cream properly. Seriously? Why is it always all over the tiny cup? Change the size of the cup or have your employees get a better training 😩😩😩

SOOOO FIRE!!!!! Walked 30 mins to get here and it was worth the walk in the 80° heat!!!! Got a crazy flavor trio combo on the gelato. 10/10 would recommend. Go check it out.

Staff was awesome. She mixed my flavors and I was super grateful. She also recommend and twist to one of the flavors and it was spot on. There were unique flavors like pineapple basil and lemon oregano or something like that. They were fresh and very tasty. I’d try some more flavors here! Picture doesn’t do it justice.

I love trying their seasonal flavors that I can’t buy in the grocery stores. I had the blueberry lavender gelato this time. Lavender is easy to over-do, but here it was subtle and in-balance with the blueberry flavor.

On a date. I had an espresso AND a cup of their specialty hot cocoa. It was like a nice dream you dont want to wake from. The cocoa was hot, thick and not too sweet.The company did nothing but enhance the experience. Im going back.

This is my fourth visit in nearly six months and this gelateria just keeps getting better. It is always busy, even during the colder months. I have found the shop to be very reliable in terms of pulling good cups of espresso and cappuccino. Just as importantly, the gelato is quite good. They do a nice job of rotating the flavors offered and I have no complaints about the portions provided. During this last visit I struggled between getting my usual Affogato or this new gelato flavor called Tramontino. I settled for the gelato which is best described as a vanilla cream with dulce Dr leche swirl and light and tasty chocolate pearls. So good, I want to return for more.

If youre going to charge that much for a cup of drip coffee, it needs to be better than this. The Mosaic District location(s) do it better.
