I cant say enough about Scudder Coffee. From making amazing coffee (and other drinks too) to just being awesomely nice people, this place is simply the best. Im not even a big coffee fan but this is the quintessential local cafe that delivers on its promise.Their food menu is not long but they put a lot of thought and care into preparing each item and pricing it fairly for the people.Theres a big candy selection too. Kids love it! Adults will also find some nifty nostalgic pieces. Fun for everyone 🙂Highly recommend checking out Scudder Coffee. Worth the 45 minute trip for me. Its a favorite coffee shop of my friends and family.

We had a large group of motorcyclist and they accommodated us all very quickly! They also helped me adjust my drink in a way that I would truly enjoy it and advised me how to order it next time.Owner is amazing!!

So delicious I came back in the same hour! Delightful service, a varied menu of all sorts of drinks, candy, and a relaxing environment all made this an excellent destination on what was a rather dreary day.

First time here…The coffee was very good. My daughter got the iced mocha latte and it was so good, good coffee flavor with just the right amount of mocha, sweet but not over the top sweet. I got the green tea matcha frappe and it was delicious! Great flavor of green tea. Very cute and quaint coffee shop with offers of candy and there is food if you’re hungry which I will have to try next time. The best part was the staff, they were helpful and cheerful and all very friendly!! I will definitely be back again!

It was my first time in and I will be back for sure! Friendly atmosphere, wonderful baristas, and outstanding coffee. I got the the new espresso boarding pas(Hazelnut-mocha, Snow capped mountain, and Bee keeper) and will be returning soon to try more of the options!

Love there frappes and my kids love the variety of candy. I always let them get a bag when I get my coffee. They even have kid frapees. Very friendly atmosphere. Love this local treasure

Perfect for girls day out. I went here with my friend and got coffees. The coffees were amazing and the atmosphere was incredible. The staff were very knowledgeable of their products. The best part of it all was the nostalgic candy.

A very nice little cafe. I like the hotchpotch style of the interior which makes this place feel good both for young people and for the elderly A huge amount of all kinds of coffee, tea and pastries. Service, was fast and friendly. The place is cozy and clean. I heartily recommend this cafe.

First timer here. Part of the Two Wheel Java crew. I can see why they like this place so much. Great coffee and friendly people - you cant go wrong with that. BTW: Check out the art gallery across the street. Its amazing.

Good coffee, cool space. Breakfast was ok but I wouldnt order the breakfast tacos again. The flavor was good but the sausage was still cold and it had so much liquid dripping it was soggy. The avocado toast with an egg was good though!

Found this place in Washington open on a Monday morning. Had a good breakfast and a great cup of coffee.

I ride out there with a group of motorcycle and caffeine enthusiasts. This place is one of a kind from the vibe, the personalized graffiti walls, the coffee, the biscuits and gravy, the coffee (so nice, it’s mentioned twice), the view from the corner to the river, the staff and owner... super sweet like the bulk candy they sell. My wife came along and throughly loved her grilled cheese as her first time experience.

Was a little disappointed with my visit today. I wanted to buy some tea. When I got up to the counter I asked specifically if they had a tea ball for this tea, because I thought it was loose tea. They told me it was bagged tea. So I went ahead and bought it. I brought it home, open it up, Bam! Loose tea. So I spent close to $11 on tea that I cannot use. Smells pretty, but no way of knowing how it tastes and will have to wait a bit before I can get a tea ball. Plus I thought the workers in Washington, MO was supposed to wear masks. Because the blonde-headed worker did not have one on.

Stumbled upon this place while visiting Washington from an hour away for the weekend. Will CERTAINLY go back next time were in Washington. Might make the hour drive SPECIFICALLY to go to this shop! It has such a comfortable environment. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The drinks are delicious. I cannot recommend this store highly enough!

Incredibly accommodating establishment. The whole staff proved themselves more than capable of efficiently providing delicious beverages, in a cozy and friendly atmosphere. I didnt order anything to eat but several others in our group did and it looked and smelled delicious. Me and the TwoWheelJava crew will definitely return.

12 oz house brew was very good. Good service. I looked at the food coming out and it looked tasty too. Large selection of old timey and other candy plus bakery good. And ... OUTDOOR PATIO!!! Ill terminator this place. By that I mean - Ill be back!!

Great atmosphere, and good people working there. Their waffles are great and the coffee is amazing. My friends and I ride our motorcycle out from St. Louis regularly to get their coffee. I would highly recommend them if you are ever in the area.

Tried today for the first time! Loved it! The gingerbread cookie latte was amazing. Not too sweet at all. Very friendly staff. They also stock one of my favorite soaps-Grandmas Pure and Natural. So cool to see that on the shelf. Back to the coffee.....One of the best Ive had.

Heard about the cute little town of Washington, Missouri and wanted to check it out from the Scott AFB area. Ordered coffee and was asking questions about the menu. One employee was extremely nice in explaining things and the other with was oddly rude and short with me for no reason.Everyone in my party was blown away with how this employee acted when we left the store. Definitely not hospitable!

Had a great experience here. They. Vietnamese coffee was perfect. And the bourbon barrel coffee left a smile on my face for hours.

Every time I have been the staff has been amazing. And they have no issues when all the bikes come in. The Coffee is just as amazing as the staff.

We thought we would give this coffee shop a try as we are regulars at another local coffee shop and needed a study break. We walked into the store 8 minutes before closing and were told the espresso machine had just been cleaned and the alternative option offered to us was Italian soda.This experience was dissatisfying because the employees had obvious attitudes upon our entry into the store. The cashier had a sour look on her face when we walked in and we were very kind, given the circumstances. I understand having a long day of work but found the employees response to our entry (prior to closing) very discouraging.We were told the shop will open again on Monday at 7. However, I live an hour away and am not certain I will make a return trip.I hope other coffee shop goers have a better experience moving forward as there are other local coffee shops that provide much better customer service than what we received today.

Best Authentic Italian soda I’ve had since I was a child and we would go to our family friend’s soda shoppe in the Italian Burrough in Pennsylvania. Delightful! I will be back many times!

I was walking around the Riverfront area looking for some tea and a place to read and I was so happy to find this place! The tea (and coffee) selection was great, and their food was delicious. The dining area is comfy and fun, and the people who work there are extremely kind. Although I didnt try any this time, the candy walls look like a lot of fun. Definitely check this place out!

Awesome. I walked in a few minutes before close after my train came 4 hours late with no food. They had already turned off the panini but she saw that I was hungry and went out of her way to find something. All with 2 minutes before closing...that is rare

The coffee is the best in town. If you like cold, strong, but smooth coffee, try the nitro cold brew. Their entire staff is friendly, helpful, and know their stuff. Breakfast sandwiches are great too.

Ahh where to begin. We have a group called “TwoWheelJava” and every weekend we try a “coffee” shop. We went to Scudder & Co for the first time a month ago, and have been there 3 times already! Not only is their coffee amazing but their waffles 😍😍😍. I love coffee, I drink it every day and I’m constantly trying to beans, drinks, and styles of coffee. These guys know coffee better than most coffee places I frequent. The owner Jerry makes a Sweet Cortado that is excellent. This continues to be our favorite TwoWheelJava stop and I reckon it will be for a very long time.P.S. If you enjoy a good espresso, their blonde is unmatched.

The Italian soda are amazing.

First thing you notice is the quaint outside. Reminds you of a perfect fall day to sit outside and drink something hot. Then you walk inside and youve got several shops all mashed into one local made local owned spot. Second thing I see is a cortado on the menu. Immediately I am excited! Finally someone who offers honey and knows what to do with coffee. Service is immpecable and the quality of the product is 💯 We recommend, thoroughly enjoyed and just as suspected, craving more about half way thru. Please go here!

I love this coffee shop!!! The hours work with my crazy work schedule, they are open on Sunday! The atmosphere is wonderful and the owners are so nice, they dont pressure you when you are trying to make a decision. Their Buttermoon Coffee is my absolute favorite and to top it off they have Oat milk! 10 out of 10 I am going there again!

Cute shop, great location. Lots of selection on refurbished furniture and I especially love that I could bring my own furniture to them and they transformed it! Not only was the furniture great but there was a unique selection of soaps and candles.... my personal favorite was the candle called Smell my nuts. If youre in the area, its worth the stop!
