Would probably have a better store if the service wasn’t so pretentious and actually wanted to educate their customers. Not sure why a “craft” store would scoff at ignorance. Just go up a few blocks to Harry’s tbh

Worst customer service ever! I felt the need to validate my purchasing power as I was snubbed from the time that I walked into the door. Word to the staff, treat all patrons with respect regards of race. This visit will not sour my love for visiting DC.

Nice selection of good quality wines, liquors, and craft beer. This shop has a cozy atmosphere in the middle of the wharf. Dont be scared away by the complaints about the staff, theyre fine, just not overly bubbly, in my opinion

Theres a lot I love about Cordial, but the best thing about it is the friendly and knowledgeable staff. The selection is carefully curated, so you may not find all of the same labels youre used to elsewhere, but the staff is happy to help you find exactly what you need even if its new to you. Ive always gotten great recommendations, whether the guidance I offer them is my friend is making curry and I need to bring a non-sweet wine to drink with it or I need a bourbon for someone who usually drinks Makers or I think I want white wine but I dont know what Im making for dinner yet, so it has to be versatile. Cordial is my go-to whether I need something specific or just want to try something new.

I was recommended this place by s friend. The hard cider selection is excellent. Ciders from across the country and around the world. They also have a nice selection of Bourbon from local distilleries. The proprietor is very knowledgeable and willing to spend the time to explain anything youd want to know. I will go back for more....

Nice selection of wines and other spirits. Except for David, the person promoting two French wines, the staff there were not very knowledgeable or helpful. The lady at checkout did not give me a receipt for my purchase until I asked for it.

This is a cliche craft vendor. If you are into liquor snobbery, this is the place! The staff fully reinforces this culture, and has no problem giving condescending or pretentious answers to genuine questions. So, if you value the appearance of liquor snobbery; as opposed to simply rejoicing in the pleasures of fine distilleries, this place is for you! (I wont be back, as I wont reinforce behavior which is counter to celebrating spirits.)

DC drinks! Yes, it does. Cordial is a great place to get DC-distilled drinks as well as other favorites. They appear small in size but their surprises are significant. And its well worth it.

This is the place to go for niche and boutique distilleries and vintners. The space is straight out of London and a joy to visit. The knowledgeable staff are fun and friendly.

This place has an amazing selection of artisan and craft wines, spirits, and beers both for everyday and special occasions. On top of all that, they have hands down some of the best customer service and knowledgeable staff around, especially the store manager, Riahna. Keep up the great work, Cordial! As an aside:Wildly inaccurate and inflammatory review by Michele Charles, which should be deleted. For being the size of the shop they are, which is small considering the size of most other wine stores in the DC area, they have a more than adequate selection of craft beers including Prarie Artisan Ales, Burial, Goose Island, 3 Stars, DC Brau and a plethora of other producers. In fact, they have way more craft beers than big beer brands; in fact, I dont believe they carry any AB-InBev products outside of one or two brands, if any at all. So to say that they have no craft beers is 100% inaccurate. Im probably one of the biggest beer nerds and snobs around and their selection is more than adequate for my extremely selective palate.
