This place is perfect. Never too crowded. Its a great place to work remote or do some homework. The food is good and the coffee is great. I highly recommend checking it out!

Tried this place for the first time today. Got the iced Carmel Macchiato its so good!! Delicious coffee not bitter and it wasnt overly sweet. Place has a cool vibe!! The owner is laid-back and super nice. I will definitely be back.

Quaint coffee shop along Hoover. A good place to stop by after running errands in the area. Owner is very friendly and helpful. There is a big potential for the place considering its spacious and there are lots of tables. They also have open mic on certain nights. They also probably offer quick bites. Restroom is tidy and clean. You can do quick work here as they have wifi. You would appreciate though that they are improving the interior like new art paintings on the wall.

Cool, quirky, an super chill coffee shop. Delicious little eats and the coffee is honestly the bomb dot com. The seating is spaced and cool, its a more mix n match style inside.They also seem like theyd be a really fun spot to hang out sans-Covid.

I go in this place all the time and always feel welcomed by the owner as well as the atmosphere of the place. I recommend the iced monkey drink, I prefer this iced drink over a coffee from any of the bigger companies even if they only charge a dollar for their coffee. All of the menu items are phenomenal. This owner really knows how to keep a business up and running and will do anything it takes to keep it moving! 👍

Has amazing coffee with sugar free options (vanilla, carmel, hazelnut, and chocolate)and for the other keto people they have butter. There are days where I crave there coffee. I think of every way how I can get some.(10/28) Had a lady make our coffee and it was not very good. Next time we go and she is there we will just leave. Dont want my taste buds to yell at me or waste my money. The gentleman are better at making coffee.So far Mike and Rob make the best coffee. Everyone else is watered down. If I see anyone else I just leave.

What can I say? Its a homey, non-chain coffee shop in Warren. I had no idea it existed. It is clean, has a pleasant atmosphere, good coffee, the guy who served me was super nice, and its surprisingly busy for a Wednesday afternoon. Im impressed, Ill be back.

The dovetail is a unique, quirky, local coffeeshop. One of the original local coffeeshops, but more than that, its a survivor. If you want quality coffee made without the pretetion and snobbery then the dovetail is your place.

This place is eclectic and eccentric. The privately owned business has original murals on the walls for atmosphere and original menu items for a pretty amazing experience. The owner seems like a true believer in creating joy. He did for me.

I used to be a patron of the Dovetail years ago when it first switched. It is a charming place...nice decor and serene music. My purpose of being there was to study and drink coffee. I accomplished one of those tasks. The guy behind the counter seemed frazzled. He was out of fresh brew and seemed adamant about not making more (it was 7pm), he kept offering pour overs to customers. I then asked for a French press and wouldnt you know it, the grinder stopped working! A green tea it was. Maybe it was a fluke night. I guess Ill give them another chance. Good luck!

I was shown this lovely coffee shop from a classmate, and feel in love within the first hour there. I adore this coffee shop, and the atmosphere it creates. The owner was inviting, friendly, and an all-around nice gentleman. The food was fulfilling, and the coffee left me wondering why I didnt come there sooner. No joke, Im already planning my next visit with another friend this weekend.

I wanted to try a new coffee shop that was not the traditional corporate style brands. This place seemed interesting, so I went there to try it.I ordered the Almond Latte, and it was just whatever. The primary flavor was the almond syrup. It really did not have that coffee feel to it. There was also no design at the top that is usually given with lattes.The atmosphere here was pretty cool, but I feel that it has a bad location. There is a lot of art and visuals all over the walls. I feel like this coffee shop would do better in places like Royal Oak or Detroit.The service was good. The cashier was nice and respectful. He was also the one who made the latte.

I have gone here a couple times in the past and always admired the atmosphere. It is a friendly little shop with wonderful lattes. I like that they support local artists and musicians. I was having a really hectic day and was a little down but it was so relaxing and welcoming it cheered me up quite a bit.

It was my first time there. Great people good smoothies a nice calming and exciting energy to be around. Beautiful songs and poems people performed that they have written themselves. Will definitely be back.

The Dovetail is the best place in Warren, it is truly one of a kind. The building is beautiful on the inside and is covered in murals and paintings. Theres live music every Tuesday and Sunday. The coffee and drinks are fantastic. Adding to its charm is the owner Mike, who is warm and inviting.I come to this place nearly everyday because of the community that it hosts. There is a colourful cast of interesting characters that inhabit this coffee shop on a daily basis. This building feels more like a second home with second family inside. Come for the coffee and if you stick around, your life may change for the better like mine has.

Very intimate setting. Not many menus, but the food is mostly sandwiches and muffins. The food was pretty good, but if you want white bread this is not the place for you. They only serve wheat and rye bread. Shakes and of course coffee is available at this coffee house. Our chocolate shakes were delicious, cant comment on the coffee, I am not a coffee drinker.

A dive bar-esque coffee shop full of character! The owner Mike is very friendly and happy to serve. Definitely one of the best open mic nights Ive ever been to with plenty of talented folks. I suggest coming on a Tuesday or Sunday night so you can experience the show for yourself. Otherwise its still a great experience to enjoy a beverage or lunch while exploring all of the local art decorating the walls. My personal favorite is the Salvador Dali inspired painting.

My son brought me here as he frequents the shop often. I tried a drink called the Tootsie roll and it tasted just like a Tootsie Roll! My son got a Dirty Chai which was really good also. They have bagels, sandwiches, & typical coffee shop food items.The atmosphere is pretty relaxed and eclectic. There are games to play as well as some smaller areas if youd like a bit of seclusion. Overall I think the Dovetail is a winner.

I went there once at night. I felt that the muffins and coffee were good enough to visit again. It sure helps to see a full picture in the day time. The place seems somewhat pieced together (best explanation that I have). The worst part though is that I went inside the restroom. It was so filthy and nasty that it grossed me out enough not to want anything from the place. If the restroom is this filthy, it makes me feel like where ever they are prepping food like the muffins, etc is also filthy. I gave the place two stars for the taste of of the coffee, and muffins (from first visit), but everything else just didnt meet my standards of cleanliness and being presentable. I walked out my second time visiting. The gentleman who works behind the counter is friendly though.

The last thing you would expect on the corner of this Warren strip mall is a quaint little coffee shop, but thats exactly whats there. They have a comprehensive menu and the Cafe Carmel I ordered was excellent. I was waiting for a meeting and ordered a sammie from their food menu as well. It was nothing special, but Id order another one in a heartbeat. In short its an unassuming coffee shop with everything from drinks and quesadillas to live music Fridays and art for sale in the back.
