I have had several great times here. There is a great selection of spirits and special Manhattans and a good tap selection. The burgers and fries are amazing and the menu has some great items like truffle fries or scotch egg. They have a friendly staff to top it off! If you are in the plaza to get groceries Id recommend stopping in for a beer and a bite. This is a great local spot and Im glad I found it.
Great food and drinks. Awesome bar tender! Knows her stuff! Enjoyed the live music too! Excellent all around! Had a great night out!
For multiple reasons, I absolutely love this place. Two weeks ago they accommodated our 20+ person wedding rehearsal party for a 7pm dinner. I met with Brian about two Weeks prior to our reservation to order appetizers and give them an idea of what most people would be ordering. When we arrived we had appetizers on all of our tables within about 5 minutes and we had 2 dedicated servers who did in an absolutely amazing job taking care of us.Excellent bar tenders (Paul regularly hooks us up!). Vegan options. Plenty of party space in either the bar area or more private banquet room. Friendly service.
Absolutely incredible service from everyone we interacted with, the best fries that Ive had probably in 5 or 6 years, and an absolutely stellar black bean burger. Do not miss out on this place!
Stumbled on this place while on a weekend getaway and were pleasantly surprised! Great food (best scotch eggs ever) and beer selection. Paul, Amanda, and the rest of the staff were friendly, fun, and gave us great recommendations on everything from drinks to places to visit while in town. Its a great place!
The staff have provided great service, creative tasty food and wonderful conversation each time I visit. This place is a jewel in an otherwise uncrowded restaurant....heck, its more than a restaurant, its a place to eat, dink and enjoy whatever time of day it may be.
Last time here was Fat Tuesday 2014 under the old owner. Nice selection of craft beers, limited menu, more snacks than meals. Pretty much a bar that also sold craft beers and wine for carry out. Fast forward 2020, we have always been on the email list and received the Valentines Day notice of a four course meal for 2. We decided to finally try the new Barrel 33 after hearing about the changes that have occurred with the new owners. Could not have been more impressed with the changes. Were greeted immediately by the owner Brian when we entered, shown where to go and were immediately seated in the restaurant/bar area. He came to the table and welcomed us, gave menus, explained the specials and introduced our server Grady, who then took over. We did decide to go with the Valentine special, ordering a mid well ribeye along with the grilled barramundi. You can personally choose a beer from 336 choices in coolers along the wall to go with your meal or from 10-15 draft beers on tap if you desire. Received our drinks almost immediately, followed in 15 minutes by the shrimp scampi. Six 10-12 ct shrimp cooked PERFECTLY. Saved the leftover sauce for the ribeye! Dinner salads came as the last shrimp went. Grady was watching and timed everything perfectly. Kudos. Meals came about 12-15 minutes as salads were just finished. Grady checked on us often. Ribeye was excellent along with the mashed potatoes as well as the broccoli which they let us substitute for asparagus. Could not have been more accommodating for a set menu. The barramundi was superb, grilled perfectly. Only thing to suggest would be a jasmine or basmati rice instead of basic parboiled ( think Uncle Bens). The mango salsa went great with it. All this was followed up with a huge chocolate eclair for two! Overall, very impressed with the changes over the past years, along with the food and plan on many future visits.
Went here on a whim for drinks and some appetizers on a night out. They had some amazing craft beers to choose from in their bistro/bar and the food was delicious. They order oysters once a month on Thursdays and I got 6. It was snowy outside but I pictured myself in Hilton Head as I ate them. The scotch egg was also amazing and our bartender was friendly and knowledgeable.
Probably the best selection of beer and wine in the greater Niles/Warren area. Wish they had mead though haha. But great place, good atmosphere, solid food to keep you going when having a few drinks with friends and family.Passionate ownership too which is always a plus.
Great wine selection and very knowledgeable staff in regards to wine. This is our go-to place for fine wine!!!
We went to the Barrell and the outstanding bartenders where friendly and very attentive to our requests!!!! Was so shocked to see all of the different wines and beers that are sold there as well!!! Great place will definitely be back!!!!
We love to stop and really enjoy the atmosphere. The owner and staff are always cordial and the food is great! Great place to unwind with family and friends.
Just stopped in for a beer. Good selection of beer, wine, and hard liquor. GM Paul is amazing.
Service was good. Food was great, I mean really really good. I went on Jazz night and it was fun even though im not a Jazz person. Portion of the food is what it should be and as I waited a short time for my food I look at the shop. The owner who is really friemdly and helpful showed me things I was looking for was walking around....I would recommend it to anyone...will come again.
The establishment was very nice inside and had a good vibe. Happy there was live music the night we went. Not pleased with the drinks or food, however. I had the last of the bellini-tini mix and it was all just the alcohol and didn’t even have the peach flavor. The beer cheese dip was super lumpy and I don’t know what was in the guac, but it sure didn’t taste right. The tator tots were awesome though and I was grateful you had that option.
The staff is excellent and the drink choices are great! They have great food that pairs well with the drinks. I highly recommend this place!!
We love Barrel33 and decided to have my birthday lunch there yesterday. Our server Amanda helped make the day even more special. So lucky to have this one of a kind gem in our neighborhood. Thanks!!
We actually left due to fact there menu changed and didnt have what we wanted
Very nice place. Just stopped for an appetizer and cocktail with my daughter in law after shopping. The No No was a yes and the pretzel appetizer also very good.
Very nice place. Has a good selection of beer and wine. I got an appetizer, some kind of breaded cauliflower with rice, that kinda tasted like chinese food. Was really good. Also got the Just A Burger with Truffle Fries, both of which were pretty amazing. Overall really like this place and will be back again.
Been here more than 15 time in less than a year and Ive never had bad food or service. Great place to grab a drink or a plate.
Its ok. The blacked fish tacos all you could taste was the pineapple on top, but once you took out the fish and ate it separately it was very tasted blackened fish. The beer was a RS twitchy chocolate stout and it was amazing
Wonderful wine and beer selections and tasty food! Staff is friendly and professional.
Ok food (though the scotch egg was fantastic.) Service was slow, however, and there were only a few of us there.
Cute place to have a sandwich and a very good glass of wine 🍷
Amazing service. Food is DELICIOUS every single time. Definitely recommend!
Food was ok but they were out of several things we ordered. Definately not worth a return visit.
I am new to the area and was recommended Barrel 33 by a coworker, so my husband and I decided to give it a try. We were dining in the other evening and our server Sarah(I think) was fantastic, along with the food. She always made sure her mask covered her nose and mouth. However, the young woman bartending seemed to not care that she was at work. Between being on her phone, slow service, no face mask and subpar drinks, we are not sure that the trip to Barrel is worth it in the future. I hope they can add an actual bartender to the staff, but for now this is a 2 star. Too many other local restaurants that follow the rules, no need to risk Barrel. I did request to speak to the Owner about safety protocols but was told he would be back in 45 minutes.
Paul always is so much fun
Great food and atmosphere.
Been here a couple times now and the food is always good. particularly the general tsos cauliflower. theyve got a great draught beer selection and excellent cocktails and the staff, from the owner down, is super friendly and helpful. you can also but craft beer or wine to go from their store.
Alyssa was great. Great southwest chicken salad. Will be back.
Good food good drinks and good conversation with the staff. Even got a little class work done.
I had their 16 oz. Rib eye, cooked very well. Not very much seasoning. The mash potatoes were very good. Service was decent. The host left a lot to be desired. Reason for that comment is, my nephew and I asked for a table, he wanted to sit us at a little two seat table. We asked if we could set at a 4 seat table instead. The host reluctantly sat us at the 4 seat table, but implied if the got busy, we might have to move to the small two seat table. At the time there was only three customers in the establishment.Over all I would recommend Barrel 33.Definitely worth checking out.
Great atmosphere. Many beers and wines to chose from.Truffle fries and crabcakes were excellent!
To be fair, Ive only been here once. Menu was unique, but food quality was average at best. They were out of several of the items that I wanted, which was also a bummer. I dont drink, so I cant speak to the alcohol selection -- perhaps that would have enhanced the experience?
Nice place, a lot of choices for wine. Very friendly owner, food us good
Great atmosphere, creative menu and awesome brunch. Anyone who complains about the price is just refusing to admit to themselves that Buffalo Wild Wings is way more expensive for microwave food and has terrible service.
My first time here and I loved it! My server was really nice and friendly. He was also fast and efficient. The atmosphere was welcoming even to a solo diner. I had the Beet Salad and it was delicious. I highly recommend this place and have already picked out what Im trying next.
I was staying in the Warren area on business last year. Had several memorable dinners here. When my wife came to visit, this was the first place I took her. Again, we had a very enjoyable dinner with good service. We went to their attached shop after dinner. The clerk kept following us around the store. I told him we were just looking but he kept watching us like a hawk. At one point, he was staring at us from the other side of displays. Really weird and creepy. You would be better off dining at the Giant Eagle next door. At least there you could shop after your meal without feeling like a criminal. Maybe these people should find another line of business.
Great wine by the glass selection and eclectic bistro food, all reasonably priced. The blackened fish taco small plate was more than enough for a full meal, and it was excellently prepared. The blackening formed a crisp shell preserving a moist piece of white fish inside. My husband had the crab cake mac and cheese small plate. Creamy with a nice sized crab cake. Excellent service.
Horrible experience, I was excited about going to the place, I got there and was not acknowledged at all by any of the servers. As a black man I felt offended and left without ordering anything. Would never recommend this place to anyone
Awesome place for dinner or just some apps and a drink. Brunch is great to especially with one of there build your own bloody Mary’s.Fantastic selection of beer and wine. The owner Brian is a tremendous resource to help you find what you want.
Great selection of beer and wine. Sunday brunch was excellent.
It has only gotten better and better since its arrival to Howland.Excellent menu (try brunch!).A cool and cozy spot to hang with friends and family!
My wife and I usually come her for dinner once a month and always enjoy our time. Great selection of beers, as well as many bourbons. We have had a variety of different apps, small plates, and dinners and everything has been amazing. The staff and bartender are always kind and helpful
Good parking. Great food. Wonderful service. Awesome owner. Boris!! Two thumbs up!
Thank you Brian and staff for hosting our family get together at your restaurant. The staff was friendly and did a great job with our large party. I would recommend your restaurant to anyone looking for great food, awesome cocktails and service without breaking the budget. Thanks again.
Absolutely wonderful. The Burgers are amazing. I am from North Carolina and my wife from Warren Ohio. We know good cooking when we get it. Great Beer Selection and as i said amazing Burgers. I eat here 2 times every time we visit Ohio.
This used to be my favorite place to go for brunch. The last two times I have been there, it was not only awful, but it took a very long time to get our food. There was nobody in there and the service was terrible. The poached eggs were like hard boiled; the prosciutto was burnt and the potatoes were obviously frozen. They also dont do the make your own Bloody Marys anymore. I will not be back for brunch...I recommend Bistro 1907 or Kitchen Post instead.
Pretty darn good. The general tsos cauliflower was yum. The wine was good. The apps were good. 4 out of 5 stars because the seating is all chairs and tables, no cozy booths, which got a little uncomfortable after an hour.
Service was great, staff and owner very nice. My sister loved her food, I was torn on mine. The smoked salmon was delicious, but the bread it was on may have required power tools to cut...break...saw? The guacamole was probably really good, but was spread on that breadbrick and I only managed to scrape off about a teaspoon. The two over easy eggs were cold. I want thrilled with this first visit, but I am willing to give them another try.
Today was my first time here. I was nervous at first as I had heard old rumors about the place being snobby and the people there being holier than thou. That is not the case. Rebecca was super friendly and informative, and invited us to come back after we had an amazing lunch. Never had a Scotch egg before and always wanted one. It was fantastic. The rueben special was also fresh and well prepared. Im in awe of how fragrant everything was and the taste was fantastic. I especially enjoy their atmosphere and laid back vibe. As long as Barrel 33 stays that way, we will for sure be back. Cheers!
Went to purchase some beer. Cashier was very snobbish to me and made the remark that my license had only been good for 2 or 3 weeks since I had recently turned 21. Looked me up and down and throughly read my ID in a condescending manner as if I had a fake ID. Wouldnt recommend going here if you dont look like you have money. No one greeted or asked if I needed help. Would rather take my business to the Giant Eagle next door.
Nice relaxing place for a drink and appetizers
Went to Barrel 33 for a going away party. They were very accommodating. Service was excellent and the finger food they served was delicious. The pizzas with the balsamic glaze were my favorite. They have a massive selection of beer, wine, and liquor. The bar with beer on tap was nice and they had TVs to watch some football which was a plus.
This is by far one of our favorite places to go! Paul and Grady make a night out fun and enjoyable and make the best drinks . Brian is always there to greet you with a smile and welcome you in and makes you feel at home.
Ive been here several times and I have never been disappointed! The atmosphere is perfect, the staff are amazing, the food is absolutely delicious, the drink selection is huge and unmatched (in this area) in both quality and number of choices, and their prices are more than reasonable.
Nice place to go if you want wine, champagne or beer that tastes better than what Giant Eagle sells. Costs are equivalent to Giant Eagle, too. If you like a sweeter wine, such as I do, they have a very good selection of Moscato. When I go there, I make sure I get enough for my wife and I both to enjoy. Usually ends up in a happy ending for me by the time the wine is gone.
Went in for brunch. They have an interesting and varied menu. Food was excellent!
My first visit here today and was disappointed. Everything seemed good walking in. Liked the atmosphere but waited a long time for our food to arrive cold. I felt the waitress couldve checked on us more and our drinks were empty more than Id like. The food tasted good just cold. Spent $81 on a cold meal and was still hungry. The website says live music would be classic rock, blues and more so I wasnt expecting country. I would probably give this place another try but not for a while. Im expecting spending that much money I should get better service and hot food. The manager did offer a drink on the house but considering I had a long drive home I had to decline. He said next time I come in I could get a drink on the house but Im not sure Ill be back any time soon.
Absolutely one of my favorite local places to be! The staff and owner are always friendly and interactive with customers, both their food and drink menus are endless, and the meals never fall short of excellent! There is something here for everyone.
My wife and I had brunch here this past weekend. Service was very slow and the food was substantially lesser quality than in the past. We used to enjoy the food and service during past visits but something has drastically changed. We probably will not be back after our last visit. We are very disappointed!
Always good food. Great service. The owner remembers me every time and is always happy to see us. New menu is very simple to understand.
Didnt eat. Picked up a few craft beer bottles. Good selection. Seemed to have a nice wine selection as well. Pleasant and helpful service. Would gladly spend money there again. Couldnt give 5 stars due to quick/first visit
Great food and a extremely decent selection of wine and beer. The owner and staff are amazing! I highly suggest going here for a bite to eat or a good drink.
One of my favorite places in the Valley, I love going for brunch. Great food, atmosphere and entertainment! They have a huge selection of wine and craft beers-- this is the only place in the area that I can purchase my favorite wine at retail pricing.
I recommend the Scotch egg as an appetizer. I ordered a Not your fathers root beer - great taste. The bartender Heather served us with a smile and a good conversation. Good recommendations from Ron, our server.
LOVE the people, the food, the fantastic craft beers and cocktails and especially the BEST VIBE in Trumbull County!! This is our go to place for a fun evening! Tell Paul and Melissa I sent you!!
I went for Sunday brunch. I got the texas french toast with a candied pecan coating. It wasnt Texas size bread, it was thinner bread but by no means was the order skimpy. It was delicious and sweet. The environment was very relaxed. And they have French press coffee. I was very happy and will go again.
Nicole the bartender made the experience so much better! Shes what keeps us coming back. The food is great. Love coming here to grab a bite and unwind with friends
I used to love Barrel33, but ever since the new owner, it is not nearly as enjoyable. The food smelled bad, literally like toilet water. The beer cheese dip that I used to love was gritty. The guacamole had an odd flavor that I cant really describe. I enjoyed my drink, but was sad that a lot of my old favorites were now off the menu. The atmosphere and the live music was nice. I really wish it was back to the old chef and old drinks though.
Best Drinks Ive found in the area for a very very fair price, so much bourbon!
I like the atmosphere and the owner is very friendly. Staff is always quite professional. Amazing selection of beer, craft cocktails and wine.
Had my first experience last week. A girls night out. The atmosphere is great, our server was very attentive and kind. However, our food and drink experience was not good. The first appetizer we ordered was not available, nor was one of the entrees. Of the 3 drinks ordered, two were terrible. No flavor at all. They were sent back. When our bill came we were charged so we questioned our server. He said he would have those removed but needed his managers help. The manager refused to credit two drinks and told the server to refund the addtl$7.00 from his tip money. How unfair. He did nothing wrong. The manager never came to explain or apologize. Very unprofessional. We will not be returning and we have shared our experience with friends and family and in doing so have heard similar stories.
Very good burger, perfect martini. The staff was very knowledgeable, friendly and engaging. Highly recommend.
My husband and I just tried Barrel 33 for the first time, and it was very disappointing. It was around 6pm on a Wednesday night. The place wasn’t very busy, yet it still took our server 15-20 to reach our table. We weren’t sure what was going on. The servers/host were all over the place. Walking around aimlessly, paying no attention to the guests. One was on her phone, drinking an iced coffee while we were waiting to place our order. Our server finally came around, we placed our order. It honestly took 45-50 minutes to receive our appetizer — giving us time to recognize how mismanaged this place was. Our server went to the bar and was sipping on a big fruity cocktail while we sat there with our water glasses empty. I really badly wanted to leave, but my husband is very polite. 15 minutes after we received our appetizer — pretzels with beer cheese (6/10), our dinner came. My husband got the rodeo burger (9/10), and he was very impressed. I took a bite, and it was very tasty. I ordered the beet salad. The salad itself (7/10) was yummy, but I paid the $4 up-charge for added grilled chicken. The chicken was over-cooked and very dry. I’m not a picky eater, but it was upsetting that I paid an additional $4 for bad chicken. Then, when we were walking out, my husband said goodbye to the host and our server — they completely ignored us. We had a terrible experience, but we were polite and still tipped. So that was not cool. We felt very unwelcome the whole time. It’s really a cute space, it’s just a shame that it is so poorly run with apathetic employees. I can’t imagine this place staying open for much longer.
Food was great and the service was excellent. I had the crab cakes. My wife and son had the black and blue burgers. We recommend the blueberry mustard for tater tots.
Good food, great selections of wine, beer, and scotch. Good food and service. Owner, Brian, was very helpful choosing wine and Grady was a great server. And, of course cant forget Boris, the rescue dog.
Nice staff, great food, & plenty of options on the drink menu. What more can you ask for? Try the Whistlepig!
Drinks, food and service is wonderful! Nice place to go chat, have a drink and eat. Whether its small bites or the real deal it is worth it.
Great place. Good wine and beer selection at great prices and the staff is very friendly. I hadnt been there since they expanded and I was impressed with the increased beer selection. I just made my own six pack, but will be back to try some of their food. .
Currently the head chef, alot of cool things in the works and menu changes to come.Specials are weekly curated and a new summer lunch menu to come! Hope you all enjoy all the new changes and thank you for being loyal customers!
