A great place to get your eye care! McPherson has a knowledgeable, friendly and courteous staff that treats you like family. Dr Murphy evaluated my cataract in my left eye and set me up with the best surgeon in the area. My after surgery exam results was 20/20 vision in that eye and much improved night vision. I highly recommend McPherson for your eye care and Dr Murphy for her expertise and caring touch.

Efficient waiting room procedures. As always, I received a thorough exam. Dr. Murphy was cheerful and took the time to examine my eyes and explain her findings. I always feel very confident in her ability to diagnose any problems and to remember previous exam results from year to year. Its worth it to me to travel to Wake Forest for such excellent treatment. I have complete confidence in Dr. Murphy! Shes wonderful!

Very friendly and helpful staff. The doctor listened to my concerns about the fit of my contacts from a previous doctor and has me trying something new. Decent glasses collection but just a few brands. My one concern was just how fast the tests were given. When they ask you to compare which is more clear 1 or 2, thry went so fast I didnt have time to actually even register the options. All prior practices are slower and have gone back and forth to ensure you werent just guessing. Made me a little uncomfortable about my readings but I am hopeful the other tests balanced things out.

Dr. Jennifer Murphy is a very knowledgeable individual, however, her charismatic and kind personality is what makes my 45 minute drive to my appointment worth it as I know I will be receiving top care. Everything at McPherson from the welcoming and hardworking receptionists to the staff working with contacts and glasses is superb. Everyone in my family who wears glasses has enjoyed their time with the clinic.In the past four months since I last attended, I noticed that there were a few new staff members who spoke Spanish. This is great in catering to patients who feel more comfortable speaking in their native language.Ordering contacts over the phone is always an easy and safe experience for me! The turnaround time is also great.In addition to my comments from above, cleanliness and COVID regulations have been safe and comfortable. They came highly recommended by others in the community so I took a chance that they might be able to see me the same day despite being a new patient which they did! I was incredibly impressed by the entire staff and their expertise so I’m happy to say I have found my new permanent eye doctor! Every technician Ive had intelligent and caring, especially yesterday. She answered all of my questions about the amazing state of art equipment. Dr. Sam spent more time with me explaining changes in my vision and my dry eye condition. I left impressed again and suggested to my that she had to make an appointment.

Terrible customer service and long wait times. Got a question? Dont expect anyone to answer until a week later... or just get no response at all. Only giving two stars because the doctor I had was nice and tried to consider everything I had going on before deciding treatment.

The doctor was very nice and professional if all you need is a prescription however the salesperson for glasses didn’t appear to have like my critique of the prices and stormed off. She then left the insurance hung up on those glasses which took time to clear up when we went to a more affordable location for glasses.

The staff and Dr. were amazing with my 7 year old son. It was his first visit to the eye doctor and they made him comfortable. The turn around time on his new glasses and new sports glasses was quick, letting him wear his sports glasses for his last couple of baseball games. Great overall experience!!

Glad to still be able to see Dr. Murphy. As a diabetic, I also see an ophthalmologist and time the visits six months apart. Dr. Murphy conveys more information about my overall eye health on my visits and the support staff are engaging and explain the diagnostic procedures as they perform them prior to seeing the doctor.

Our first visit to McPherson eye for my 4 yr old daughter’s very first eye exam was so smooth! I had anxiety anticipating this visit but it was not warranted. Shannon the tech was amazing. She did a great job- she used the “magic princess drops” … my daughter didnt even flinch when they were inserted. I was in disbelief! We usually have meltdowns at home for anything eye related. Shannon is officially our tech forever! She is amazing with children. Kildaire helped us with glasses and we now know who we will trust and see for our entire family’s eyeglasses. His concern with my daughters safety was touching. He recommended shatter resistant lenses since she tends to be clumsy in general. Overall a great experience. I will recommend this practice to friends and family.

I have an unusual set of circumstances with my eyes that have stumped other eye doctors that I have seen in the past. I was very apprehensive about my appointment today due to this. Dr. Warr and her assistant Shanna were very patient and took the time to listen as I attempted to describe what I have been dealing with. For the first time I was seen by someone who understood what I was describing and is taking the time to thoroughly investigate why Im having the problems before rushing me into glasses that may not work for my eyes. I am feeling very optimistic about the care I am receiving and relieved to have found McPherson Family Eye Care!

I felt like I was being rushed through an assembly line from the moment I walked through the door. The support staff was at least friendly for the most part. The prices were also extraordinary, and this was the most expensive I exam I have had in 20 years. If I had had exceptional service, that would justify the price, however, being rushed through an assembly line does not qualify as exceptional for me. I will not return to this vision office.

Dr McPherson and his staff have been taking such good care of my entire family including grandchildren for many years. There is no one else I would trust with my vision and my familys vision. We have referred and will continue to refer to McPherson Family Eye Care.

I had such a great experience here. Ive been living in Raleigh since 2003 and have yet to find an eye doctors office I can call mine. Everyone here has been great! Everyone is so pleasant on the phone and at the front. I felt like the only patient that my doctor had at the time when I was seen. I went back in to get my glasses and Susan helped me. She was very attentive but also let me browse at my own pace. I will gladly recommend Mcpherson to everyone I know.

I had a truly wonderful experience from calling to make my eye exam appointment and talking to such a polite young man, to Meredith who did my pre exam, then to Dr. Jennifer Murphy whole was amazing! She is beyond patient, kind and knowledgeable. She listened to understand, not to just respond! And then there was Kildare Escoto, the Optician! He was beyond incredible at his job! He not only made the processes of selecting, fitting and understanding my insurance very painless! He expedited my order to make sure I had one of my pairs of glasses ASAP. My 18 year old daughter had her annual vision exam at another vision center in Raleigh and had an awful experience. She left there in tears and was so disappointed in how they treated her as a customer when it came to selecting glasses. I reached out to Kelly at McPherson Family Eye Center and was able to schedule an appointment for her to select glasses. Kelly was very professional and compassionate. She helped my daughter select the perfect frames. McPherson was in network with our VSP plan and offered VERY reasonable prices. We were so please with her experience that our entire family will be changing optometry offices and will become patients at McPherson. I appreciate you taking such good care of my daughter. Highly recommend this office for all your eye care needs.

As a family we are so pleased with the professional eye care we receive at McPherson. There is such a caring culture here. For my own experience I was greeted by Kim I knew right away I was in good hands she took the time to do the upfront evaluation and really listened to any questions or concerns I had. Then greeted by Dr. Lee McPherson I did not feel rushed and was able to get a really thorough examination. Dr. McPherson has been very helpful to my husband as well who had a serious eye condition and helped us to refer to a specialist which had a significant improvement in his condition. I am truly grateful for his network, support and advice. In addition, as his practice expands he continues to hire staff with the same caring culture, Dr. Jennifer Murphy. My son went to see her and was so impressed with the attentive and thorough exam. Not kidding, hearing that from a boy in his twenties ! As a family we just bought three pairs of glasses and all with the great advice from the staff. They really take the time to find you the best pair that suits your face. Everyone here is helpful, and Dr. Samantha McPherson is wonderful with my kids! Her assistant was extremely patient while my kids were wiggly and curious about everything. The optician was also very patient while my daughter was choosing her glasses frames. My kids love the well-stocked drink fridge, and I love how helpful and professional everyone is. Been going here for several years and I’ve always had a pleasant experience with everyone from the front desk through to the check out desk.Just visited yesterday and the atmosphere was completely hectic and aside from the front desk staff, everyone had the personality of a wet noodle. No smiles, no pleasantries and no warmth.I truly felt as though my presence was an inconvenience to the techs. It was torture after sitting in the lobby for the better half of my 1hr 15min stay.The doctor was jovial as always and when he was in the room the tech suddenly came to life. It was revealed that mistakes were made with the scheduling of my appointment and the doctor was overly apologetic but also seemed very annoyed with this mistake. Even at checkout, I sat for 15min while other clients were called to pay their bills. I finally walked up to inquire and the staff member looked over her shoulder to notice my folder had been waiting there - she apologized stating she was the only one working.Overall, I walked away unsure if I would want to even return. Since this is the first time, I’ll chalk it up to a gloomy rainy day in the fall throwing the staff off their game.If I have the same experience upon return, I know I’ll change to another service provider.
