I enjoy going to Smart & final because of the Good prices and clean store. Today was a unique and different experience. As Im paying for my groceries the cashier yells at an older couple walking in the store for entering in the wrong direction. The couple immediately left the store and were very offended and embarrassed. She also became rude and disrespectful to me and I reported the incident to the manager who minimized it and said they were having a busy day and stressed. Always been told employees reflect management.

This place is a big discount grocery store. You can buy Items in bulk. Good customer service. Clean and maintained.

Worst place ever to shop customer service suck big time 1 cashed 15 people in line ! The staff always look disgruntle !! The manager is always in the office .. I know because I used shop there a lot . No more .. then the cashiers have to answers phones while there trying to help the customers chk out !!! I can see why the employees are miserable .. call the district manager stil no response … they clean house .. the store on Mooney bad wow what a definite difference so nice to shop there the employees always so nice and helpful. To for for to travel. Smart n FinalOn Center Street in Visalia.. the worst # lazy manager # employees look and act very unhappy !!! # clue start looking for a new manager .

Staff does a amazing job keeping up the cleanliness of the store. I always feel welcome and safe during my visits.

Great deals on some things. Really like there first street brand items.

They have awesome sales. We love to go especially during their meat sales. Most items are in bulk. A nice selection but just watch out for the prices. Bulk isnt always cheaper.Employees are very nice and helpful.I recommend you giving it a try.

Social Distancing makes it hard to get through lines quickly but I like the stores as a whole. Lately there is a few items that I was looking for that they arent stocking, or they are and Im not there when they do. Otherwise it would be 5 stars. They have a pretty good staff at both Visalia locations for the most part. Cashiers are very nice most of the time.

Staff is always friendly... but, a word of advice, shop early to find everything you need.... as the day goes on things get low at yhe downtown location.

Smart & Final is my store, my every day go to whatever I need store very clean very reliable courteous people 2 thumbs up you cant miss here.

I love that I can buy in bulk without having to pay for a membership. The staff are always friendly, and the prices are good.

Which Smart & Final? The one on Mooney was the only one that keeps the Toranis Caramel Syrup fairly well stocked. These stores sell so much of this product they should always make sure there is plenty on the shelf.

I love the store and appreciate the measures they have gone to to insure safety during this pandemic. However I was very disturbed yesterday first when another customer refused to follow guidelines either regarding wearing a mask or distancing as she then twice came close enough to touch my cart, then when I saw an employee stocking the eggs, I went to comment to him only to see that he had removed his mask also. Then in check out line saw another customer without a mask. The policies are only as good as they are enforced.

Low prices for bulk items a good alternative when you dont have a Costco card.

Very well stocked store. Plenty of parking available and not filled with shopping carts. Lots of good deals in meat department if you look. Best dairy prices in town. Helpful employees always around. Good beer and liquor departments.

Your items should be marked better and so called fine print larger,to many people get to check out and have to put items back or pay more with out knowing till they get home. Also you tellers should not be schooled on purchase orders with people in line. Out he wise, love the store

Over charges for items you never purchased in the first place..

I shop at Smart and Final on occasion but I think there are better options. The store model seems antiquated and the prices are often higher than other stores.

There are two Smart & Finals in this town one on willis. (north side) which is this one and one on South Mooney Boulevard if you want it very clean go to the South Mooney Boulevard if you want a little less on prices go to the one on Willis its a little bit cheaper Im getting the same item same product same customer care. I prefer the one on Willis. Beware there is people loitering around Willis Smart & Final.

Nice helpful employees and management. Good sales at times & good selection of things. Usually the lines go quickly (Brad holds fastest cashier in my book). Nice place to shop for bulk items.

I have called this location 7 times, for them to answer and hang up. I never even spoke to an employee. They continue to allow the phone to ring until, -what it seems like they cant handle to hear anymore -and then hang up. I have a basic question asking if something is in stock and they wont bother to answer. Therefore, they will not be getting my business.

Staff was flagrantly rude and unhelpful. Very disappointed.Update: I was contacted by the manager and the next time I went there everyone was so helpful and attentive if I asked where anything was.Changing my review from a 1* to a 4*.Great improvement!!

Prices not the cheapest employees some very nice some not so much a nice selection of items store always well stocked..do employees stocking produce and shelves not understand if you block isle its kinda hard for the one seeing to it you have a job and get a paycheck because we shop in your store might want to be educated by their boss. Excuse me works well for most shoppers not look the other way and keep blocking aisles. Now I remember why I havent been back in 8 months rude employees pretty much sums it up guess their manager doesnt care

Store is clean and well stocked. Lines are usually reasonable and staff is friendly. They have gone above and beyond in a few situations. Know that their prices are not the best, but they are not overpriced either.

Always find what I need at smart and final

I am very upset! I was looking for an item and I called to see if they had it. A gentleman on the phone told me they did and he would set it aside for me. I called back when my husband was going to head out to confirm that they had it on hold and I was told they did. My husband drove 30 minutes to the location just to find out they had not set them aside... that the item was not in stock

Went in a month ago and tried purchasing a few things. One of which being some flatbread wrapped cheeseburgers, the item was new and it wasn’t in the system yet I waited around 20 minutes why they attempted to get the pr code, or whatever was needed. Finally I told them forget it and didn’t get them... well I went in today and tried again buying the same item, which was on the shelf but had no price, low and behold same theming no pr code, and once again the cashier was running around calling everyone to get the code, I could tell it would be same situation so told them forget it and left, moral of the story shame on you guys for putting items on the shelf with no price, that you have no record of in your system, and after a month the same ridiculous! I have worked retail at that point usually you just get rung for a set amount then next time the issue is fixed! Please don’t put items on the shelf and not price them! Won’t be coming back.
