This place is very clean and professional! The staff is very friendly upon entering, the menu is easy to understand and they have a variety of drinks. I tried the OG Avocado toast and a sweet latte. The toast was delicious, crunchy but not TOO crunchy. The sweet latte wasn’t overly sweet, which I liked. This place seems to have pretty good balance in everything they serve. I would definitely come back and would recommend this place.
I went today after a long time! Service is even better than before. Sweet latte is delicious. And the breakfast burrito is 😍. They were nice and replaced meat with avocado because I am vegetarian.
This shop is aesthetically pleasing and has a rustic vibe. It gives you a feeling of freshness being in there seeing the coffee roaster and fresh made syrups. I had a chi tea latte and it tasted organic and healthy I didn’t feel like I was drinking sugar. Definitely will try them again. Although the seating was limited and outdoors was hot misters or some kind of cooling would have been nice outside but overall loved this visit.
I mostly stopped in here because I had a bunch of free time and I was interested to see how the inside of the location had changed since the Planing Mill moved out. I was rewarded with the fanciest avocado toast I’ve ever had. My latte was tasty. Service was just ok. The staff totally let someone waltz in and blatantly cut me in line as I politely waited for the barista that told me, “I’ll be right with you,” to finish what she was doing.
The sweet latte was delicious. The place had a cozy vibe to it. The prices were reasonable and the service was friendly and efficient.
Amazing breakfast burrito and the big chocolate cookie delicious. The hot chocolate could use some work overall great experience.
Sweet Latte is delicious! So everything else in this coffee shop! Definitely coming back
We were on a drive back home from Yosemite and wanted to grab something quick to satisfy the hunger... And we looked up a place near the area. We happened to come across this coffee shop so we stopped by. Glad we did!!! The beverages were delicious as well as the food. The staff was kind and willing to explain what was in the drinks... Etc. Would love to stop by again some other time.
We didnt get one of ordered item (it also wasnt in original bill) so we had to do another order and wait for it. By the way coffee was incredibly tasty. Breakfast also exceed my expectations.
Waited 40 minutes to not get my coffee. Had to cancel my order. Went to bombshell beans instead. Much better coffee and service.
I have gotten coffee and food here, the food Id really good as is the coffee. The wait time is usually pretty manageable. The also notify you when your order is ready to be picked up.
Whoever just made my london fog rn deserves the world it was beautiful very dank I loved it.
I loved my flash brew coffee. Jasmina took my order, and she was absolutely lovely to chat with and answered all my questions with confidence.
Super chill, lots of good coffee options, nice atmosphere and someone must have a green thumb on staff because the plants look so well looked after!
Really good! Coffee a bit bitter sometimes. Good place to go with your brother in law.
Amazing experience, friendly staff, amazing food, if you get the Avocado toast my word is it a delight! It is one of my favorites and it even made a Mexican mom shout “wow!” Coffee was exquisite and worth every ounce! I would recommend to anyone and I’m being my wife next time!
Always fresh coffee. Roasting is done right and the different notes of the beans are various. The latte is great with the right amount of milk and espresso. When they pull their shots, it’s done right. The tonic is the best drink offering they have! Oh so good.
Great local shop with amazing coffee! Rare to find a local roaster with such quality coffee, amazing customer service, and phenomenal ambiance. Definitely a hidden gem of Visalia and worth trying!
Wow!! This place is so great! The staff here are so nice and sweet! And the burritos for breakfast is amazing. I got the parfait and that was equally as great! Their double chocolate chip cookies are to die for!
I want to give this place a 5 because their coffee is THEE best!!!! But the baristas are not very kind & have actually been very rude to my family & I recently when we met up for coffee. They drove from very far & were a bit hungry but since we arent from Visalia we didnt know that they stopped making food at a certain time. They made faces at us like we were the dumbest people & on top of that one girl even said in a very snobby way next time come before 12 if you want food & chuckled. Then the other young lady taking our order almost seemed as if she was lost & totally not helpful whatsoever. That was the only time Ive ever had a bad experience there out of the 4 times weve been there. Other than that this is the best place for coffee. & we will be back
Best coffee around! Awesome food as well. The breakfast burrito is the best!
Smooth rich fresh brewed latte made my day! Great quality coffee in rustic loft design cafe, outside sitting are not for early chilly morning cause Sits are metal, but I enjoyed my sunlightBoth barista and cashier looks nice and professional. Crowd is pretty nice intelligent looking young people.Just got one more sip - VERY tasty and rich coffee !
I visit Visalia on a monthly basis so I was late stumbling upon this coffee shop. I cannot have dairy so the fact that they offer oat milk & other dairy alternatives was a very pleasant surprise (esp for the area). I’m spoiled living in a big city where ever coffee shop offers oat milk alternative so you can imagine this has become my NEW spot when I visit! I absolutely love their coffee, food, customer service & shop ambiance.
Amazing coffee and really great workers! I love the iced sweet latte with oat milk and the breakfast burrito.
This is a great little coffee shop with great Wi-fi. We enjoyed several visits here we liked it so much. They have a limited menu but the coffee was really good. Definitely a great coffee gathering place.
Cutest atmosphere, great menu & excellent customer service!! Jonathan was so wonderfully friendly and helpful! Thank you. :)
The sweet latte with oat milk 🤤
Great place to grab coffee in downtown Visalia. Friendly staff, tasty treats, and covered outdoor seating make for a wonderful, caffeine-rich experience. Highly recommended!
Beautiful coffee shop, like something out of a movie. Delicious food and coffee as well!
Best coffee in town! They have gluten and vegan options which I love it! People who work there are also really nice. Looks like you are not in Visalia, love to come here!
My god, such a good cup of coffee. Granted, I never really get anything besides their flash brew, drip brew, or pour-over. But wow. I just finished a cup of their drip brew and that alone is enough to leave me in a warm blissed out state.Their staff is phenomenal. These folks make me feel like a low-key celebrity if Im rocking a sweet fit. I come in from Three Rivers just to sit around and enjoy the atmosphere.
I’ve been here several times. For a third wave coffee shop, these guys do not live up to the hype. My order has been wrong every time (a simple latte straight from their menu) and they burn the milk. The staff are not friendly. Do not recommend.
The best hole in the wall minimalist roaster and coffee shop in Visalia, maybe in the entire proximity of Sequoia NF. If you love coffee and are on a trip up the steep switch backs of hwy 189, its worth the inevitable line (that moves fast) to come by Component Coffee Lab.
Favorite spot to get work done- love the outdoor vibe and location. A little bit pricey, but you pay for quality and ambiance. My husband LOVES the breakfast burrito.
Employees are so rude. Coffee was not that great. I Would not recommend this place.
I hadn’t gotten the avocado toast for a while because the last few times I’d gotten it, it wasn’t as good as when they first started serving it.(It was stellar in the beginning) BUT I decided to give it another try since it’s been a while. I’m happy to say it is back to being delish. I don’t know what changes they’ve made in the kitchen but they’re def on the right track
Nice place. I just had a latte (said they couldn’t do a flat white..) so can’t speak to the food although the menu looked nice. Smallest offering is 10oz so it was a little weak, I personally believe the appropriate ratio is 2 shot/8 oz. Would of asked to pour short but although the front counter server was lovely the barista didn’t seem particularly amenable to alterations. Good milk temperature and texturing though.
Great coffee and very tasty breakfast burritos.
This contemporary little coffee shop is hidden away in an alley, housed in an old warehouse, and serves some great treats! Hot cocoa served in a large mug with a toasted marshmallow on the side, delicious beignets, and large donut holes with a sugar coating. They do serve some more savory meals as well, including breakfast burritos, acai bowls, and fancy avocado toast. They have a selection of other doughnuts, coffees, and mochas, and I didnt hear anything but good words from the folks I went with. The only downfall is that indoor seating is very limited, and this place is very popular. They do have tables and benches outside, with nice rustic aesthetics, but dont be surprised if sitting room is unavailable.
Great coffee and lounging area, wait was kinda long for no one in front of us. But I will definitely have to wait for good coffee
I went to this coffee shop this past summer. I had a video chat visit with my daughter in like 15 min and my phone was dead. I had been looking for somewhere to charge my phone, where they wouldnt mind if I sat a little away from the customers and had the visit there while I was plugged in so my phone wouldnt die in the middle of the visit. I found that place at the Component Coffee Lab. The young lady that helped me was so nice and understanding and compassionate. She hunted up an extension cord so I could sit a little bit away from everyone else during my visit, got my phone going and even gave me a cup of coffee. One other time I asked them to charge my phone and have the visit there only this time I went with money and was an actual customer this time. Again they were the nicest people and most accommodating. And the food and coffee are good enough to rival starbucks as are the prices. I try to go back as often as possible.
Breakfast burrito and coffee were very good. Give this place a shot!
The atmosphere was very hole-in-the-wall and cozy, they are fully outdoor seating but it felt spacious and COVID safe which I appreciated. The coffee was perfect for the weather but the true crowning jewel was the DELICIOUS breakfast burrito I got, literally the best breakfast burrito Ive ever had. My vegan girlfriend got the avocado toast and loved it too. Overall 5/5 I would highly recommend this spot to anyone passing through the town or staying longer. Worth spending your morning here
First time trying this Coffee shop and I felt a bit rushed. For the prices youd expect strong tasting coffee. Had the New Lavender over iced coffee and it was not Good. . Not sure if I couldve went back in and asked for just regular coffee over ice. Was not a satisfied customer.
Always a pleasure at Component. Misters are a nice touch during these steamy central Valley summers. I appreciate having a place to sit outside without a mask on my face during all the chaos. Makes things feel semi normal. Thanks Component coffee lab. Baristas are also knowledgeable and polite. Always get great service.
Terrific coffee, food is amazing! We had mochas and breakfast burritos. The mochas tasted like drinkable dark chocolate. Super balanced flavor, rich and sweet without being overwhelmingly so. The outside courtyard has a lovely peaceful atmosphere with space heaters. There is not nearly enough. Staff is super friendly.
The coffee was delicious, the staff were friendly, and I liked that they offered both indoor and outdoor options.
Great coffee and service. Nice local place!
Delicious coffee and great food options. This isnt a place to be in a rush. They are timely but they put great pride in their items. You may have to wait, but so worth it! Best breakfast burritos in town!
Cool coffee spot with a nice atmosphere. Theres a decent amount of outdoor seating perfect for coffee dates with friends or use your computer to get work done (Im pretty sure they have wi-fi but dont quote me on that). Inside is clean and nicely decorated. The new girl who took my order was super nice and really brightened my day!I got the sweet latte which was very good. Apart from coffee, they sell some food items like a breakfast burrito and some breads with nutella or avocado or other toppings. I was gonna order the burrito but they ran out of tortillas when I went. The food is pricey but based on the descriptions they sound tasty. They sell cute stickers too for a $1 each. I got 2!
Mavericks hands down in my opinion does a better roast and has better coffee and at a lower price point
I was knew I would love this place when I walked in. I love how they styled the place with plants and succulents. However I gave them 2 stars (below avg.) rating because of their coffee options. They do not offer any flavored lattes. The barista said only a simple syrup latte. I was super bummed about that and almost just left because I love trying new flavors and I thought an amazing little place like this would offer that. I was let down. Then.. I asked about food since I came there for food also and she informed me they stop serving food at 11am. After that I thought “wow, really?!” I travel to little coffee shops all over the US and I was drawn in by the look but heavily let down.
My favorite place to stop for coffee in Visalia. Their sweet cream coffee (pictured) is my go to drink there. The major plus size is that their iced coffees are done the right way! None of that, just add ice to a cup of hot coffee. Also, if you make it for breakfast, their breakfast burrito is a good choice. Missed it this time, but well plan better next time to make it on time.Their inside seating area can get kind of loud, but the outside seating area tends to be nice, and not as loud. Its a good pick, as long as the weather cooperates in the summer.
Great space, great coffee, outstanding avocado toast and breakfast burrito.
Great Coffee. Espresso was very good and rich. Drip coffee is excellent, and their molasses cookie is a great little breakfast pastry thats not too sweet.
Excellent espresso drinks, I tried the iced sweet latte (traditional iced latte lightly sweetened using simple syrup) ☕💕 definitely recommend coming and enjoying a drink and sitting outside under the patio misters! They have alternative milk options including oat milk...There are tasty pastries and munchies if youre wanting a bite to eat...They roast their own beans...Dog friendly atmosphere...Whats not to love?! Fun and lively place to chill with friends. (side note: they have a Slayer and use fellow along with acaia scales?! Happy to see that down here in the central valley 😍) 👍🏻 💯 these guys are doing it right!
My husband and I are from the thousand islands region of New York. We have travelled roughly 3,700 miles in the last 7 days. Out of all the coffee shops we have stopped at, we both agreed this was our absolute favorite. Fantastic iced latte and mocha, the best breakfast burrito we have ever had (true story) and amazing pastries. The baristas were super friendly and the atmosphere was wonderful. Now were wishing we were locals.
Chicago resident here that stumbled across this place. Solid atmosphere that serves possibly the best mocha Ive ever had. I came here again months later and had the same excellent experience. Consistency is key and Component Coffee delivers. If this place was in a major city, the line would be out the door 24/7.
Step into a shop that feels like its out of stranger things for great coffee. I got a chai latte, which was killer. My guy got a drip coffee and an espresso, both of which he really liked.
Amazing coffe, amazing people
Over priced and when you pay with a card the minimum tip for a $3 coffee is $1. $1 for pouring a cup of coffee? Only alternative natural zero calorie sweetener is stevia and stevia tastes like crud.
We met these guys at the Visalia Farmers Market before they opened their store, they are awesome guys! The coffee shop is clean, decently priced, and staff is polite and helpfull. They make a great sweet latte and breakfast burrito! Amazing! The burritos were hot and tasted exquisite! They are kid friendly and offer a variety of pastries and drinks and teas! We prefer them over starbucks! Worth the wait and drive! Great job guys!
Best iced mocha ever!
Staff discriminated againts a medical condition i have therefore wasnt able to go inside. Ridiculous law breaking 😒
Great coffee, ok food.
Great breakfast burritos!
Nice vibe! Great tasting coffee and mocha!
It does look like a coffee lab!. Despite COVID, the place was full during the morning. As expected, coffee tasted great!
The iced latte was delicious. We came at 1045am and the wait was about 15 minutes, nice outdoor seating. It was bit crowded so waiting in a certain spot was hard not to be close someone.
Most consistent quality coffee that we have found in Tulare County. They are precise in how they make each cup and it shows. Great roasted beans as well.
The chill ambiance, great drinks, and meals, I highly recommend.
All of the food was delicious 😋
An above average coffee shop. The sweet latte wasn’t for me but if you enjoy lighter floral coffees then I’d recommend you give it a try. I enjoyed the plain latte the most of all the drinks we tried. The food was all good and the decor was very nice if you plan on drinking your coffee there.
Im not sure if some of my orders were made wrong, of if Im just missing something. I really wanted to like this place. It looked like a great place to hang out with friends or do homework, but the coffee left a lot to be desired. Ive gotten a latte and tea that were great, and a mocha and a hot chocolate that tasted awful. Theyre always super bitter and taste like they forgot the sugar and milk. At first, I thought it was made wrong, but after trying again, its clear that theyre supposed to taste like that. My question is, why would someone order a mocha and want something that bitter (that hardly even tasted like chocolate)?
