Mildly pretentious, slightly overpriced for the quality; 99% of the merchandise here is meant to be a walking billboard. Those are mostly brand issues; the knock of a point is for the lack of service here. Few, if any, associates are willing to even greet you until you make it to checkout.

L.l.Bean store actually is in Tri-State area? Fantastic stuff but the quantity of items pales to other LL Bean stores up north. But I am a very satisfied customer.

L.L. Bean appears to have better trained associate staff than most hands-on staff in the retail market. I shopped this store initially to purchase two predetermined gifts. I approached one of all busy associates who was placing an order for another customer. She agreed to assist me next. She kept her word and in no time, based on her knowledge of L.L. Bean products, I was in front of a cashier who further provided guidance on shipping and within a very few days my gifts had arrived earlier than expected at their destinations. I chose to browse, being already impressed overall, encountered several other staff with questions, and I ended up completing a bulk of gift purchases before leaving the store. In addition to staff professional courtesy and again knowledge of products (a day of 40 per cent discount was an added plus) I left L.L. Bean feeling confident I was an informed customer about my gift purchases and I knew those choices were quality ones. L.L. Bean has been added to my go-to place for gifting needs.

Nice to have a good LL Bean store located pretty close to home. The merchandise selection was slim, but, then, it was only a few days after Christmas when we shopped there. Located in a very busy and often congested mall where parking anywhere near the store was at a premium on the day we visited.

The one in VB is the best!!

The store carrys nothing in my size. I wear tall 17.5 x 36 shirts -- they have none. And guess where they put all their XL and XXL pants and shirts -- on the bottom shelf. Most XL and XXL men are 6 or taller how about placing these cloths on the top shelf so we can see them.

I got multiple things from LL Bean for Christmas this year. I tried to return a 3/4 zip up and exchange it for another item and they would not let me. They told me it had to be the same item! DO NOT BUY PEOPLE GIFTS from this store! If the person does not like it they cannot return it for something else. I ended up returning the zip up and they credited the person who bought the item and I left with nothing. I wasnt even trying to get money back just exchange my gift for something I wanted. Ridiculous policy.

Emma was amazing in helping me with s phone order today!! She was busy, but was still gracious and kind enough to locate the bootie I was inquiring about. She took my payment & reassured me concerning the UPS ground shipment. The customer service she provided was top notch and made me miss living in Va. beach. Thanks Emma!!! Quality clothing and gear. Friendly and helpful staff. Love that I can shop in the store and online as well. They also offer a military discount in the store.

Very accommodating staff. Had a great experience shopping there several times except the two times I reserved items online. I received confirmation of the reservation and when I arrived at the store, they said that there wasnt a reservation under my name. A day later, I reserved another item. When I went to the store, they brought my previous reservation and didnt have the new item under my reservation.

The handful of times Ive gone, Ive had excellent service in the shoe department. The associates are quick and pleasant. They didnt act annoyed about the number of shoes I wanted to try on.

This is my third visit to this store and it is far from my last! As usual everyone who works there are exceptional! Larry saw me shopping and freely offered friendly advice. I was checked out by Robyn, who does have a bad review on here, and she was just as nice and friendly as her coworkers have been!

Amazing LL Bean outpost. Ive visited their main store in Freeport many times over the years. This place is just as great only smaller. Great selection and helpful staff..totally lives up to their reputation!

Prices on some things are a little more than average but everything is well made. Staff was very helpful and knowledgeable of product and service.

I would say overall ever employ is very friendly and helpful. The manager didnt want to help on a shirt that was worn about 10 months. She said it was my washer. Funny thing is I have 2 other shirts just like it that I have had zero problems with. I think that since this store is so far south they are just trying to keep it open. I want to say its kinda a experiment. Over all decent stuff. Try to hit sales they are expensive.

Most everything we have ever purchased from LL Bean has lasted for years and years, I do mean decades! We have had to use their fabulous guarantee very few times but have found them to always stand behind their products. We love having a local store and have purchased quite a bit here since it opened. Mostly shoes and boots but also coats, swim wear, canvas bags, wool socks and camping and hiking gear and the best hammocks made. We still have back packs and duffles from almost 20 years ago and they all still look and work great. Ll Bean honors our military with a discount on most purchases and they have great sales. The store is always neat and clean as are all of the friendly and helpful employees. I have attended several of the free informative classes in the store and would love to attend one of the outdoor events if my schedule ever allows.

Ive been a longterm customer of LLBean for over 50 years. Many of my winter clothes, camping and accessories were purchased online. Since Im in a wheelchair and over 64 tall its easier to shop online for tall items (greater selection). Usually Ill return items by UPS since when I use my LLBean card for purchasing the returns a free. This recent online purchase involved many items of which two were very difficult to return by UPS due to there size. For an upcoming cross country trip I purchased two extra large sleeping bags that can be zipped together for my wife and I. Unfortunately I didnt take into account the weight and rolling them back up to store them in the bags. Rather than try to wrestle them back into the bags I opted to take them to the local store for return. The store employees were extremely helpfull going out of their way to help me get them from the van into the store. They understood completely the challenges I faced in the wheelchair and refunded my card hassle free. Of course while there I couldnt resist shopping and left with two new additions to my wardrobe. Yes they had a few tall shirts on sale. I couldnt resist. This recent purchase and return experience taught me to stick to my gutt instinct for the future and buy down sleeping bags. They are easier to stuff into the bags and much lighter in weight. 20 years ago my old reliable down bag was claimed by my daughter for her use. Twice before our family has been to Bar Harbor, Maine for vacation and both times weve shopped at the outlet store. Two hours later well emerge with new sweaters, shirts, coats, hats, socks and much more. If youre in the military or constantly traveling shopping online or by catalog at LLBean is a great affordable option for your family plus gifts for the holiday season.

Way overpriced retailer. I know quality can be pricey, but this is way over the top. A womens puma cotton tee shirt is almost $40. While its never consistent, I can get the same quality tee shirt at Costco or TJ Maxx for under $20.

Generally I have liked the products available at ll Bean. Today I tried to return a pair of pants that had shrunk over an inch. I was told their products dont shrink. I am regular customer so I thought it was a little rough they wouldnt allow an exchange. May be awhile before I return.
