We came in for a tire purchase and transmission oil and filter replacement. Leonard walked us through everything. Received wonderful customer service from Leonard and Mark! Took my 2019 Dodge Charger GT there 3 times to get an oil change and came back with no issues. I trust them.
Went online to order 4 tires. Went through the whole process of placing the order and printed out the Order Summary. I called the store on the day that the tires were suppose to be in. The person that I was talking to put me on hold, then came back on the phone and said that there were no tires showing to have come in that day. He asked for the order number, he checked his system and I was told that their system did not show any order with that number that I told him. The day before that I was told that their Hesperia store on Bear Valley Rd had the tires that I was trying to buy. I called that store and they told me that they did not have the tires in stock and could order them for me. On top of that, he quoted me a much higher price than the online prices.I dont buy a lot from Pep Boys because they are some distance from where I live, but when their competitors dont have what I need, Pep Boys would have it or could get it fairly quickly. But it just seems like the company is always going though some changes and are disorganized when it comes to customer and warranty information. I commented about that experience a few years back.
My brother in law went to fix air condition for his Toyota Camry. They charge him total amount in advance (more than $500). When he received car, they told him power steering does not work. He told em they need to fix it because this happen while car in their Possession. They agree to fix it by changing pump. After they changed pump, still power steering is not working. They told him probably rack and pinion is broken and they refuse to fix it. It will cost him 1300 to fix. Never use this store to fix your car.
My breaks were grinding coming off mount Whitney so instead of chancing it up the cajon pass I stoped by pepboys where Leonard was able to get my breaks fixed fast and with friendly service. Thanks!

Dishonest ManagerHad an alternator go out on a Sunday. This was one of the few places in town open and we contacted them to see about getting the repair done that day. They told us we could get that day but it would be just under $900 to get it fixed mostly labor costs as it was hard to get at. When we got in they told us we had to get it tested again because it was required ... another about $20. Then told us that they could not get it done that day,(the whole reason we came in) after we had been in the store close to an hour.The hour we had been there also made it late enough in the day that no other shops could get to us. They offered to repair it for the same cost the others in town had quoted us ($600) the next day but we refused to give them our business after the ordeal.The mechanic came out and talked to us and he seemed like a good guy, but the manager up front being willing to lie to a potential customer is just inexcusable.
Pulled up 3pm for oil change and they said itll be ready by 7:30pm...lol
Got quoted the wrong price for an oil change and for my belts to be replaced. I ended up just getting the oil change from them. When I inspected the motor afterwards I saw that they spilled oil all around the oil cap and around where the oil cap sits. I always go to smaller businesses for this sorta stuff when Im not doing the work myself but decided to go here for the fact that I was able to make an appointment around my busy schedule. I ended up going to jiffy lube the next day for the belts and for about $100 scheaper. I wont be going back to pep boys.
My experience was not good and thinking about going above just reporting them to corporate. Had me pay for work they never even completed and sent me back on the road that caused more damage and put me in danger. When paying the employee didnt say anything and proceeded to make me think all work was done due to calling and telling me my car was ready. On the drive home, noticed the issue start again so decided to just go to the dealership. Wouldnt have known I was a victim of fraud if I hadnt taken it to the dealership and they diagnosed and looked at what this place said they completed. Called corporate and they put me in contact with the store manager who wanted to keep everything quite to close out the complaint and not be escalated. Be cautious on going here and getting work done that you cant visually check and see they finished.
Pep Boys in Victorville had the oddball sized tire that I needed in stock. It was mounted quickly and for a fair price too. Its a shame the parts store is closed.
My last experience was not so good took two days for a battery check and replacement. That is even with a appointment. Definitely short handed.
Made me pay way too much just to change a rear turning signal bulb. Regretted asking if they worked on my car yet after waiting an hour. Should have took my car home and did the job myself. Would have save $100.

Customer service kinda sucks but they provide the service you need. Prices are alright because they have warranties so its worth it.
Don’t waste your time here be expected to wait all day and hope you don’t have to work that day. Lazy slow people my best chance is to go to a small business where workers actually work and hustle for your business.

Be careful, the employees in this Pep Boys try to trick unsuspected victims into buying things they do not need. This Pep Boys reminds me of the old mechanic shops where if you where a woman they would try to take advantage of you by charging for things your car did not need and in some cases they wouldnt even change the parts. They do not have any integrity. I contacted their corporate office to make a complaint and will also make a complaint with the BBB. Waste of time these guys try to rip you off and lie about the issues with your vehicle I went in there with my car for a check engine light the mechanic said my canister purge was bad and my shutter actuator the price he gave me out outrageous I walked away and got a 2nd opinion on the car realized it was not that. I had an appointment at 9 A.M. this morning at the pepboys on 7th Street. I arrived at 8:45, only to be greeted by Casey. Who proceeded to answer phones, and made me wait around ten minutes while he answered phone call after phone call, For about 10 minutes. Casey then took my information and decided to continue answering phone calls for another 10 minutes completely disregarding me. So I called the pepboys on bear valley and 5th where a very helpful Enrique took care of my transmission flush.
My 75 year old mother has had more issues with tire service than she EVER had with Discount Tires. She tried to get her leaking tire serviced while she was on the road with no success only to have a patched tire take over 5 hours at home. The first attempt was before the pandemic so there has been no change of service although that is their excuse.

Pep Boys suggested that I needed a new engine so I went ahead and paid for a new one . I started getting problems with the car before the warranty ended, they assured me that everything was covered under warranty not to worry that they would get it fixed two months later they tell me that the engine has a problem and they were going to switch it out not to worry I was going to get another engine. All the time lying to me another month went by and I just found out they’re not giving me another engine, but they are giving me the car back So I can take it to the dealer cause They have done all they can do 3 moths later. I was patient the whole time understanding I just wanted it fixed. I went to Pep Boys for all my car needs some repairs never again

First time been here, I bought a new set of tires, the price was good, counter associates seemed good and thats where ended at the point. I picked the car up, knowed is it that was pulling, got home, did a visual check and knowed is a the center cap was missing. I called the next day then told that then manager David the 2 problems, he said bring it back so they can take picture of the cap and order it and check the tire pressure. went back couple days later, he took a picture, said he Will order it and they checked the tire pressure, one tire hadv30 lbs, another tire had 37 lbs, other 42 lbs and the other one 47 bhai lbs, so they adjusted all t he pressures and car drives straight. A went goes by, havent heard for David the manager so, I called, he said the cap should it been there so he was going to call the place where they order lost caps from and call me again when it gets in. About 10 days go by again and I called again, asked for David and a new ACTING MANAGER NAME CASEY told me he is there anymore with the company. so I told him the story, he said hell call Hubcap Annie and will call me back, I then called hubcap Annies also and asked if the center cap was order from the store a week ago and the guy said that nothing has had ordered from the store. The new manager Kasey called me back about half hour later and said he ordered the cap and theyll call when that cap arrives. 2 days later CASEY called and my cap is t here. I wouldnt never had gone to the pep boys but, I do need another set of tires and because of CASEY I would give them another shot.
Horrible horrible service I drop of my car at 12:30 PM and I was told that my car would be done at a certain time. Didnt even call me to give me an update about my car until I got there to pick up my car and they gave an excuse that its only two employees working that they havent even touch my car. I guess you can tell management doesnt care about customer service or keeping loyalty from local customers. This pepboys use to be the best one in the area and now its just horrible I will not be coming back here due to horrible management and not focusing on customer service.
HORRIBLE-unprofessional place where it takes OVER SIX HRS (6) to get an oil change. Than, they try and rob your credit card, and employees STEAL from your car.
Made an appointment went in told 3hr wait for a simple oil change. Rescheduled, guess what tech out again 3hr wait. Reschedule, oops tech called out again 3hr wait. Was told my oil change would be done in an hour. And here I am an hour and a half later and my car just got taken back. No explanation at all. They simply didnt do anything.

Worst service. Called to drop off my vehicle for alignment. Was told ok to drop off but it would be a few hours. The guy who helped me was rude. As he was writing up my ticket i told him it would be free of charge due to me having a life time on alignment. His attitude went from bad to worse once he found out. He said it would be done by 7 pm. I dropped it off at 1 pm. 6 hours ok for an alignment. I called at 5 for a follow up and was told it would be ready by 7. When I arrived at 7 the lady told me it had not been worked on not even looked at. I’m sure because it was going to be a freebie they placed my vehicle to last. Stay away from this place they lie and they have the worst service. Bad attitudes also.
If I could put negative stars I would! How the hell does it take 6 hrs! To patch a tire!!! Everywhere else I’ve ever gone has taken no more than 5 minutes! And they’ve always been busy. They said they wanted to just get to everyone! Why do I have to wait more than everyone else because it’s easier! I literally could have been done so quick! Never going again. Only reason I went today was because it was the only place open. Never again. No matter if they’re the only ones open.
Best pep boys Ive ever been to. The staff was absolutely amazing. I wasnt able to get my brakes done the night before, the staff was helpful and amazing made me an appointment the next day then was able to get me in way earlier than my original appointment. While my car was being taken apart one employee went to another store to get my parts on time since I came early. Cannot stress enough how great they are
Had a 130 appointment. Said they wouldnt honor it because people were in front of me. Why make appointments is you cant keep them?
To this place is the fist and last time that I go to it. I with Pep Boys they don’t have a customer. I had an appointment at 1 PM and I had to wait until 5 PM. Even more, they didn’t do the tire rotation which was included in the promotion with the oil change. They just didn’t wanted to do the tire rotation.

Every other shop ask for extra money for wheel alignment diagnostics fee. But not Pep Boys their fee its only $49. Dollars but they did my car for free with the purchase of all 4 new tires. Im very please with their great service. How ever they do take long. But because they have so much business. Thanks guys...

Made a appointment for a simple oil change and tire rotation after 3 hours I decided to call to see what was going on with my car (I made a appointment mind you to avoid any lengthy wait) and they still hadnt started on my car! Never again will I be servicing my car at this Pep Boys. smhAfter picking up my car the tire rotation they claim to have done to my car is BS because I made a marking on my driver side front wheel and that marked wheel was still on the driver side front wheel when I picked up my car!! Is this the kind of service and business Pep Boys conducts?? I would come to expect this from a mom and pop shop but Pep Boys!!WoW!! I definitely will be reporting this to all parties that need know of this.
I believe David is in charge of the service department and made my experience there a memorable one. I definitely will be back. They are fast and efficient. Their estimated time is pretty accurate. I like the fact that you can make apts for services.
Went in for a set of tires yesterday. They gave me a few options, and I selected a set of Goodyears at a price I was comfortable with. Was told car would be ready in 60-90 minutes. 2 1/2 hours later, after removing all the old tires from the wheels, they found that the Goodyears were not actually in stock. (Shouldnt the tech go to the stock room and pull the tires to be mounted before removing the old tires???) The only set they could mount was their low-end store brand with a much shorter warranty. I said hell no, made them put the old tires back on, and bugged out, never to return.

They successfully pressed out my old wheel bearing and pressed in a new one on my passenger side but when I brought in the driver side, they told me they couldnt do it. I told them they did my passenger side just fine. The technician told me it wasnt him. So, I took it to a machine shop around the corner.

Tony, the assistant manager, was very rude. When I was getting an oil change, I asked if they top off certain fluids, and he rudely said that they only top off washer fluid. I called the one on Bear Valley, and the manager said all Pep Boys locations should too off water-based fluids. I called the one on Main St. and he said that they only top off washer fluid because of a past experience, but if you ask to top it off, he will do it. He then asked who I spoke to and I said Tony, and he laughed and said, Just talk to David. I asked David and he gave me a smile and thumbs up. David is an awesome manager. Tony on the other hand, well, lets just say he isnt the friendliest guy. Customer service is really a make or break between a 5 and a 3.

Went for oil change and breaks waiting 5 1/2 hours for just the oil change still had to wait 2 hours more for my breaks. So I told them never mind just give me my keys back what a waste of my day. No discount neither for my time. The staff was friendly and guys in the garage need to speed it up stop talking and get to work. I even sat outside for like 35 min and watched as two worked very fast you can see them on the hustle the other two waisted time.

Left my car to have tires installed and get a wheel alignment today and to have back today. Never recieved a call to pickup my vehicle as I was here visiting family now im stuck in the high desert until the morning. A longtime wait two week plus, for simple fix a electrical dashboard problem, they gave me the go around. The worst customer service experience.
Made an appointment for 5PM a day prior for a vehicle inspection. I come in to my appointment and the guy at the service kiosk tells me I have to wait more than an hour because they made four other 5PM appointments and they showed up first. I recommend you guys DONT make appointments on the same hour someone else has, or else its not an appointment, just a waste of time.
I do not write reviews but after my experience with this place I had to. I drop my car off for suspension inspection for rattling which they kept my car for two days, prior to dropping my car off i told the manager I change the struts their brand new. they wanted to change my strut assembling again they could not find the issues but wanted to charge me 1000$, I took my car to a shop on the corner they found the issue within 2 hrs an charge me 100$. SMH!!!!
Horrible customer service, rude guy David is bothered by me asking for a time frame so that I can know if I need to call for a ride. Will never in my life go there or recommend them again! Customer service was great at Sears. They werent terribly busy, I could see mechanics standing around outside with nothing to do. If you do go there, whatever you do dont ask how long it will be. They really dont like that.

Horrible! customer satisfaction, comunication with the customers and wait time. The mistake I made was not to look at their rating 1st. The Manager was more worried about being on the phone than his customer who was waiting for 25 minutes just to ask if the car was ready.

Went in for shocks for my snug top. told the sales rep what they were for. Said he had a set my size. purchased them. Went home to install them. they installed easily. But when I went to close my snug top. it was extremely hard to shut. Called Pep Boys. They said because they were already installed I couldnt bring them back. Come to find out. The rep sold me to strong of a shock. the total pound of the 2 shocks should of been 84 pounds. The rep sold me 170 pound models. This caused my snug top to break!!! Costed me 750 to have the top repaired. then another $50 for the correct shocks. Beware of sales rep recommendations! Do the research on your own!!!!!

My wife received most expensive brake pads for her car. Copono Pads lifetime warranty. When she took it back to replace them they put on middle grade brake pads. Didnt tell her. I saw the invoice and was wondering what happened. She then called Pep boys and told them they put the wrong pads on. They said thats what they typically. They put brake pads on that are less expensive then you originally purchased. They said they would put on they would put on the original pads but it will take a month to get their due to the fact there coming from New York. My wife then called another Pep Boys in our area and they said it will take no longer than a couple of days. Its unfortunate that the management staff is attempting to take advantage of females who might not know as much. I cant believe Pep Boys has employees like that.
I stopped here because my vehicle started shaking bad while driving on the I15 headed home to Nevada. They found the problem to be a defective tire (which was prorated under the road hazard program) and got me back on the road in a timely manner. The service department staff was courteous and professional.
If I could do negative stars it would be minus 5 dropped off my company truck at 6am left key in night box with work needed done called around noon Dan stated he didnt realize key in night box. Informed me he would get it in the system call when done. At 3 PM called back to check status Dan said would be ready in 30 minutes. Arrived at pep boys at 4 PM young lady working service desk could not find in system. When I spoke to Dan he stated that he did not remember telling me it would be ready in 30 minutes. If Moore twining and associates did not have a fleet act here I would not be coming here. Only clicked 1 star because wouldnt let me post otherwise

Great people and wonderful service!I was headed to Vegas and busted the under-plastics and bumper of my Nissan Maxima and couldnt make it to the nearest dealership. Ayana and Rachel at the front desk were very pleasant and arranged to have the car inspected and to make it drive-worthy. Matt from Service (who took on the task) showed and explained the issue and proposed a couple of options to meet my time and budget.Im very pleased with my experience and despite having a car under manufacturers warranty, I wouldnt hesitate visiting this store for general services.People take great service for granted and dont review accordingly so I had to chime in here.five-stars and two thumbs up!

LONG wait time for simple fixes. Bought a set of 4 brand new tires, one started leaking almost immediately. Brought the vehicle in, they checked the pressure and confirmed it was low. They put air in it and told me to bring it in if it continues. Several days later, I see my tire pressure gauge is on and the tire is indeed low again. I call to let them know Im coming in, they say ok. When I showed up they tell me one of their guys is at lunch and they dont have time to do anything that day. I said no worries I can make an appointment. They say ok come in at 5pm tomorrow. I show up at 4:45pm the next day and they say no problem theyll check it out. IT IS 2 HOURS LATER AND IM STILL HERE WAITING ON THEM TO TELL ME WHATS WRONG WITH MY TIRE AND WHAT THE SOLUTION IS. This is ridiculous. I know people are busy but this is a farce. The service guy is turning away business because they cant finish their current jobs. I know other shops arent this bad, but for some reason this one is. I will never come back to this Pep Boys again.

Horrible, truck was dropped off at 9am called at noon to see if finished. Was told by guy at counter hadnt been serviced yet. Called back at 2:45pm was told by Dan truck would be finished in 35 minutes. Arrived at shop 1 hour later to find out truck had not even been touched yet. The service at this location is absolutely horrible, they had to pull a guy off lunch to do a simple oil change on a truck that had been sitting at the shop for 6 hours. Dan is a poor excuse for a service manager ! Pep boys, You would think you would treat your fleet accounts with a tad bit better service. I have already notified your corporate office of this occurrence as well my corporate to pull our fleet account. Completely unacceptable!
We have taken our car for service a few times now. There is usually a wait, but Ill wait for good service & honest people. Finding a place that you can trust is worth it.

All I needed were new tires, and Ive been here since 3:31pm it is now 5:56pm. Ive never had to wait this long for tires before. I ask what is going on, they keep telling me someone is working on it now. How long does it take to change tires? Either get more mechanics or get new ones.Not only that, their phones are constantly ringing and no one answers them. With wait times like this, you figure they would give a discount or have decent prices. Horrible service wait times.A customer came in and didnt want to wait and said Ill go somewhere else. The manager said hed do his car with no wait times. How can you skip all waiting customers just to secure business?A worker named David works with chewing tobacco in his mouth. Its discusting when he talks and spits. I can literally smell the tobacco while he talks. Its so disgusting. Not very professional. Not efficient. Not coming back.

Poor service. Very bad behavior. Didnt do what I asked them to do. Didnt even reset the maintenance required message in my car. Also they told it would take about 2 hours and it took like 5 hours. They didnt tell me once they finished the service. I had to go and ask them if they started it or not. Bad experience.
