Store selection is fabulous and thats why Im giving it THREE STARS! Wonderful chart selection!!I traveled from Houston, TX specifically to go to this store. I shared this w the employees, as we entered the store, as well. No one really offered to help me. I wouldnt consider anyone friendly. There was one lady who would answer my questions.I wouldve spent sooo much more money than the $115.00 had anyone suggested fabric and fibers to me!

I was so excited to visit this shop during a work trip & I was not disappointed! I was greeted immediately on entering and asked if I needed assistance. The selection is amazing and the fiber selections are lovely. Several times during my browsing adventure I was asked if I needed help. I will definitely come back on my next trip to Tulsa!

The only reason Im giving one star is because you have to to write a review. I have never written a negative review on a business before but this shop is an exception. The shop owner was so very rude and full of herself. I have never experienced such awful customer service from any other shop. After reading other reviews, I have found this to be a common statement by others. There are so many needlework shops available with kind, helpful owners and staff that deserve our support. Take your business to the shops that appreciate their customers. Buyers Beware!

Oh ladies! Dont you just love a bargain? Just got home to play with my new stuff, which included a set of See Your Stuff bags priced at $39. I searched on Amazon to see if they offered a teal color - theirs were priced at $64 + $12 shipping! Its a good day!

Horrible customer service. Ordered the Nora Corbett reindeer charts (over a $100) and ordered four of the embellishment kits they had to go with them (over a $100). Checked to see what the kits included (beads, treasures and metallic thread) and when I got them there was no thread. Called them and they said it didnt include the thread. I told them that the website said it did. No deal. They would order for me ---- at my expense.. NO THANK YOU. Plenty of people who are welling to help the customer. By the way within 10 minutes of hanging up they had changed their website. Had to give a star to post.Sharon Hodges

Poor online customer service. Ordered online Dec 2. Received confirmation Dec 2. They dont include shipping in the total, so I emailed requesting shipping cost/time info on Dec. 8 (5 business days). Was told I had received the confirmation already (it was the email I replied back on) and that 2 of the kits I requested were on backorder. Was asked if I would like to substitute anything else. I ordered 2 small items. Never received another confirmation with the new items. Looked at my credit card bill and I had been charged an extra $5.34. Emailed AGAIN asking for a breakdown of charges. Received another email from the owner saying Ill check. She emailed back Julie,I looked it all up. You are getting three mill hill kits and the needles and threaders. youll understand what happened when you receive your package. If you want to return anything, just let us know, Lindy. Received my order 12/19. It included one of the kits she said she didnt have, which I had ordered elsewhere as it was to be a gift. I dont understand what happened, but what I do understand is I will keep the kit I dont need, since Im fed up with the responses received. Buyer beware.

I second another reviewer that online ordering is awful. They are happy to have you order items they do not have in stock, and they provide no updates to buyers. The first you are notified of this is when your partial order arrives, with a stapled note saying “Sorry.”I emailed them after receiving my partial order. The response was snarky, indicating they are not Amazon. Yeah, I kinda figured they weren’t Amazon, but basic customer service isn’t provided either. I’ve ordered from many small needlework shops, and somehow this one seems to be the worst.

I wish I could rate this higher for the great selection but their lacking customer service is pretty bad. Ive been here about 3 times with my mother, we both love the fiber arts, and each time there would be one worker on the phone and two other employees just talking. Every time we went in it felt like we might as well be invisible. When we check out they are real friendly but if you need help good luck to ya.

Lindy has many counted cross stitch books as well as complete kits and supplies. The store also has a limited line of Flax clothing, and Vera Bradley pieces.

New stitcher and the staff was very helpful. Came from St. Louis and was in the store for hours! What a great selection!

OMG...a wonderful and huge selection of needlework patterns and supplies. I found projects I have never seen elsewhere. Could have spent all day browsing. Wish there was a shop like this where I live.

The quality of the goods is great and the service is good.

I ordered two counted cross stitch sets on-line from Silver Needle. They were priced at $22.50 each, and the order confirmation email I received stated $22.50 each. However, when I received them, I was charged $24.00 each. I called and Alice told me that the website says Prices Subject to Change, the prices did change, and someone should have called to let me know before filling the order. Alice said next time someone would give me a call if prices change. Well, Alice, there wont be a next time with your store. Thank goodness, it was only a total of $3 difference in price. How deceptive that is to advertise and confirm one price, but charge a higher price without approval from the customer.

I have given much thought before posting this review. After my experience on January, 12th, 2019, I could not shake my regret for stopping at the Silver Needle. This was not my first experience at this specialty shop, in fact, I have visited it on several occasions spending anywhere from 40.00 to 60.00 in purchases on each visit. It was this experience that confirmed for me that it would be my last visit. Upon entering the shop at 5:15pm, I knew I would have a short time to browse, make my decisions and complete my purchase transaction as the shop closes at 6pm. There were three staff in the shop and although I am the consumer, felt much like I intruded on a private click or club. They were unfriendly, smug and as I was carrying around my potential purchases I was approached by one of the employees, as she held out her hands she offered to start ringing up my purchase. I shared I was not finished making my decisions and was informed they would be closing soon. I looked at my watch to see that it was 5:40pm, I stated I thought the shop was open until 6pm. I was given a very rude response from the employee as she walked away from me, looking over her shoulder stating we lock and walk out the doors at 6pm. It was then that I decided, I would set down my purchases and walk out the door,. I decided to take it one more step and make just a small purchase to see how I would be treated during my checkout. I continued to be treated as if I was an inconvenience in the closing of the shop. I left the shop and decided to call the shop to ask whom the shop owner is as to be able to express my distaste for how a paying customer was treated to be informed the I am the shop owner. When I described that I had just left her store for the last time, again was treated with a smug attitude. I am only writing this review, not to tell fellow stitchers to not shop at this store, but to urge you to consider that smaller specialty stores work everyday to provide warm and welcoming customer service. This shop needs to know that they are only in business because of their customers. I will not return nor support this store online, I will however continue to make my purchases with the online specialty stores.

I live in Cincinnati and recently ordered thread from the store that I could not find here. So impressed with the staff and the way my order was handled. It is the little things that impress me, so when my order came with candy, a crossstitch pattern and a letter about the history of Harikuyo, a budist ceremony known as the Festival of Broken Needles, they won me over! All this for an 8 dollar order. My regret is that they are not closer, but will be ordering from them again!

Cool stuff to sew and buy! Nice jewelry!

They did a decent enough job sewing on my new rank for my dress blues, but they botched the pants. First she had sewn the pockets shut, claiming it was the only way to sew blood stripes on. I said I know corporals who can use their pockets so try again. She said come back in a week shell have it done. Go there the next week, still not done. Tells me to come back Monday at 1. When I finally got my pants back two weeks after first going in they were done well enough. Just was frustrated with the run around. Silver Needle should really take customers phone numbers so they can call before making dumb decisions like sewing pockets shut.

They took alot of time helping us match yarn. Super amazing customer service.

This shop is amazing, the amount of items they have as examples and for purchase is beyond anything I could have imagined.
