I have an older car(and plan to drive the wheels off this one, too!). Id taken my car to have an oil change at the beginning of last year at a local Jiffy Lube and they told me I was in serious need of getting all 4 rotors for my breaks replaced soon.I had an issue with the timing of my engine and a friend recommended a second place(not Brooks-Huff). While getting the timing issue repaired, I asked that the rotors be looked at and this shop confirmed that all 4 needed replacement; I opted for them to replace the 2 in worst shape and paid an extra 450 for that service.The car then developed the timing issue again and I opted to take it to Brooks-Huff. They fixed the issue in good time and when I asked about the other 2 rotors, I was told that they didnt need to be touched ( $450 stayed in my pocket!!)Go to them for HONEST work. Brooks-Huff employees are straightforward and knowledgeable and they deal with their clients with ethics in mind.

What a great shop, super personable staff. Extremely knowledgeable. After a couple hours of calling around Baltimore trying to get same day tire mounting only to get told that I could schedule something for days later I finally found brooks and huff. This locally run chain had some good tires at a great price delivered and mounted the same day.This will be my go to tire shop from now on. I couldnt recommend them more highly.

There are few auto repair places out there that I have ever encountered that have the ethics, the integrity and the desire to provide top notch service at all times. Tim and Mike and their team are awesome and if you are in the Towson area, you definitely should consider them for all your tire and auto repair needs.

The guys at the front desk are friendly, they always give you a fairly accurate estimate on time to complete the task and the work is always done well. I had a nail in a non repairable area in my tire. I bought my tires from Costco so they didnt have my tire in stock. The mechanic and I discussed my options and we both thought it would be best to get the tire covered under Costcos warrantee. I went to pay for services rendered and they didnt charge me a dime. You cant beat theyre customer service. Ill be coming back for all my maintenance needs.

We have been using Brooks-Huff for decades to service all of our cars and I always recommend that friends and neighbors take there cars here as well.I have never been disappointed with the turn around time for repairs nor have I ever taken my car in to have one thing done only to discover that a number of other repairs are recommended. They do let you know if something else seems to be wrong with your car, but they never try to push additional repairs.If you are looking for competent work done for fair prices and getting the work done quickly and done right the first time, then any and all of the Brooks-Huff locations are for you. Give them a try and you will never take your car anywhere else.

Lets just say they wanted to charge me over $15 a lug nut for a grand total of $316. For a replacement of them all and that was just the start of the bs, $1500 in work they said was needed! I just did it myself for a little over $200. Ill never recommend them as a reliable place to take your car.

After moving from another city I needed to find an honest and fair auto repair shop. I found it! I could have been told I needed new brakes when I didnt need them and I would have believed that given how they felt to me. Was told that I had plenty of pad thickness and the tire rotation I asked to have done was free! Oil change minimal, and a AAA discount. Along with a free courtesy shuttle and my search for my new car doctor is ended. Wholeheartedly recommend Brooks Huff.

The best place you can go for your vehicle maintenance, repairs, best tires and customer service. Ive been coming here for so many years and Everytime Im taken care of with the best of the best. The best part is the work they always have done lasted forever with zero problem s. I buy my tires here also and good year is the best. Im So happy with my recent truck tire purchase of two good year Wrangler all terrain adventure tires that were recommended to me as one of two great options for my application. I feel way more safe with these tires due to traction and also can feel the strength of this tire when trying to climb over things off road or curbs or whatever. The whole team is great also 👌 been doing this for years and will always steer you right. Eric, Doug, Tim are experts at this and real solid honest guys. I also have used the other locations many times years ago and same great knowledge and service.To the reviewers that complain about tire price, a couple dollars difference in a good year over some cheap foreign tires from a budget place is so much more worth your safety and comfort driving your family around for years on the tires. Id rather spend an extra 20 per tire or so on the best good yr tires vs getting cheap thin foreign tires that just suck up nails and slide you in the rain and snow. I mean you are keeping these for several years over that cost. Also Ive used the Kelly tires before on a vehicle with great results and great lower price. You cant go wrong here. Such nice people who clearly know their stuff, and Doug at the front desk (and whom I spoke on the phone) seems to be an all around fantastic man - as well as the courtesy shuttle driver that brought me to work (cant remember his name, but was good conversation)! I was recommended an upsale that I was very happy to learn of. I just got my oil change this morning and they have for sure gained my regular business, for beyond just oil as well.

Outstanding customer service! I brought my car in about two weeks ago because my battery terminals were corroded. Brooks-Huff cleaned them off for me very quickly (I know this is a simply fix but Im not a car person). The cost was $20 per terminal, so $40 total. This seemed like a pretty reasonable price for an easy job. However, I had to pop the hood this morning and notice that the terminals were corroded again. I was concerned since it happened after such a short time. I called Brooks-Huff and they told me that corrosion over that short of a time probably meant that I needed a new battery. They fit me in with an appointment on the same day. Over the phone, they quoted me a price of about $150, again pretty reasonable for this sort of job. After they completed the job, when it was time to check out, they credited me for the $40 from the initial terminal cleaning. I didnt ask or even hint at it, they just did it because its good customer service. As someone who doesnt necessarily have the money to shell out for expensive automotive work, I greatly appreciate their honesty, integrity, and outstanding service. As long as Im living in Towson I will not be taking my car anywhere but Brooks-Huff.

I called ahead of time for my daughter. They seemed pretty accommodating and also sounded like they would have a pretty reasonably priced selection. When she got there, all bets were off. They were unfriendly and only seemed to have the priciest tires in stock. They wouldnt budge on price either.

Since I noticed the mixed reviews, I wanted to put up an opinion. I went to these guys because AAA recommended them and its my first car in MD (originally from PA) so our rules differ.The staff were very nice and explained the two components that failed on my inspection. They also were able to repair it within the day, and actually kept the inspection portion to about an hour, as listed on their website. Their waiting area was comfortable and they offered refreshments. They also explained Maryland emissions tests to me. My car is old, a 2000 Ford Focus. Id definitely return for maintenance checks.

Absolutely wonderful experience. My Mini Cooper battery died in the Starbucks parking lot. I contacted 3 other shops less than 1 mile away and they either didnt have cables or wanted to charge me $50+ dollars for a 1 minute drive to me. I called Brooks and they came out within 5 minutes free of charge. The gentleman was friendly and got my car started in no time. When its time to buy a new battery I will make sure Brooks gets the business when I do. In a world of poor customer service, thank God we still have companies like Brooks. Phenomenal company.

I was taken here by AAA for a tire issue and Ive returned three times since for an oil change, belts change, and a new catalytic converter. Each and every time theyve been knowledgeable, kind, and quick. Their prices are reasonable too. I highly recommend this location.

Total ripoff. Took my car in due to a grinding metal noise in the left rear. They inspected my car and informed me that both rear brake calipers and brakes needed to be replaced and wanted to charge me $750.00. I took it to a different shop and all I actually needed were rear brake pads, as they had worn out ($130.00). They saw a young female college student and jumped at the chance to take advantage.

Got new tires a couple weeks ago from this place, no problem getting me in to put on 4 new tires with road side hazard; 90 mins in and out. Got a flat tire today and needing a flat repair for one tire, takes me 60 mins and my car isn’t even in the shop yet.There is only one other person in the waiting room, and she came in after I did. It’s now been 90 mins and I still don’t have my car back...for one flat tire patch job.Install rating, was 4-5 stars, so gave a 2 for overall. Took 1 hour and 40 mins for a repair.

In the past Ive visited Brooks Huff on several occasions for service to my vehicle and trusted they would handle my car properly. A few months ago the battery died in my car, I brought it in and not only did they say I needed a new battery (which I already knew) but also an alternator. Thats when I became a little hesitant. Tim quoted the price to be around $800 for a replacement which is ridiculous. He warned me that if I kept driving the car then I would have more issues. I have a 2014 Mazda 3 and for an alternator to be completely shot is odd. Needless to say I got a second and third opinion and both agreed that I did not need an alternator, just a battery. Several months later I am still driving it with a brand new battery and havent had any issues since. Theyve lost my trust and I will never go back again.

If you are looking for a shop you can trust, look no further. My wife and I moved to Baltimore about a year ago and have had a couple of issues with our car. There is a reason we consistently drive out of the city to have Brooks Huff complete any necessary service - everyone is kind, honest and will take the time to really explain the technical aspect of any auto issues. Had my 2014 Civic Si aligned there and lets just say its not the easiest car to get on an alignment rack. The staff went above and beyond what any shop I have ever been to to make it fit on the rack. Best customer service I have received!!

The guys here a genuine and really good. They were recommended by my neighborhood page. My car started making a very suspicious thwacking sound, but no engine light came on. I originally went to a neighborhood mechanic, but he only had one lift. He looked it over on the outside, but was able to deduce that is wasnt anything obvious. He suggested I go to a bigger store to get a diagnostic. He would give me a free estimate on whatever they gave me. So, it turned out my transfer case was dying and my car really wasnt safe to drive. They guys were great and even allowed me to pay over the phone and left the key under the seat. I had 25 other things happen, and could,come get it until a few days later. They didnt charge me and even,offered to make a few calls if I choose to junk it.

Very friendly and professional. Nice waiting room if youre getting something minor done. Internet and cable and doesnt force upon you what to watch. Service wise, they did a great job. They also offer a lot of deals via livingsocial or on their website.

Nice staff and comfortable waiting area. I scheduled an appointment two days in advance for an 8am oil change. My car wasnt driven into the shop until after 9, and it wasnt back to me until 9:40am. I know things take time, but there was only one other person waiting when I arrived.I used a Groupon for my service and was hopeful when I walked in that this could be a place I returned to regularly. Not so sure now, though.

I brought in my familys commuter car on a Thursday for an oil change and was so pleased with the service, that I made an appointment to bring in the other car the following day. The sales manager, Tim, managed to fit me into an already busy schedule and was great about getting me out when I said I needed to be out to pick up my daughter on time. Tim is great--very friendly and straight forward. Im usually very uncomfortable in situations like this where I have to talk cars and end up calling either my dad or husband to help me decide what to do when they come out with additional things wrong with the car. In this instance, Tim took me back to my car and showed me the enormous tear in the sidewall of one tire and the tear that was starting on another tire. I replaced the tires without reserve. Its the only time Ive been 100% certain that I made the right call and not stressed about the unexpected expense.In addition to feeling comfortable and at ease with the staff, the waiting room is nice and has tea, water, coffee, a TV with digital cable, donuts in the morning, and wifi which is a huge plus for me since it enabled me to bring my laptop and get some work done while I waited. Although I didnt use it, they also have a shuttle that will take you the 3 miles into downtown Towson if you dont want to wait around. The bathrooms are also very nice and clean--another bonus.Its rare that I find a garage where Im comfortable and dont feel as if Im getting a run for my money; Brooks Huff is one such place, which is why I went back with my my other car the very next day! Ill be using them again and highly recommend them.

Ive been friends with Todd Huff for many years but a customer of Brooks Huff longer so its not a rating based on anything but my experience with the shops as a whole. There are a few locations. Im most familiar with Towson & Hunt Valley though I also know the Timonium store fairly well & theyre all consistently great.

Ive been taking my Honda Accord to Brooks Huff Towson for routine maintenance since I moved to the area in 2011. They are simply the best auto professionals Ive ever dealt with. They always complete whatever service I need in a timely manner. But the biggest reason I have continued to take my business to them is that they are honest, fair and patient. I dont know that much about cars and with every issue or service Ive had done, the staff will always patiently and in plain English tell me whats going on. They are great about informing me about recommended services but NEVER, EVER pressure me or manipulate me into having needless services done to my car (unlike other mechanics Ive visited in the past). For this reason, I know I can trust them whem something is truly wrong and needs serving.

Brooks Huff still gets a 5 even though they needed to deliver some bad news $$$.. Their team was still extremely professional, offered rides too and from my place of work and run a tight ship in towson! I appreciate the honesty and good work with my visit for an exhaust issue!

Ive gone to this establishment several times. There are certain people you can trust here and some you cant. Today I went and saw there was a nail in my tire, so instead of patching it, I was told that there was also a bubble in my tire (along with the nail)... I didnt see this obvious bubble (that I requested to see) when I pulled over and inspected my tire before arriving at the shop. So this bubble resulted in my third tire purchase from them in 6 months. I feel that a certain sales manager at this establishment takes advantage of people that have a history of paying for repairs without asking questions. Its sad because they mess up their possibility of having returning customers.

MD inspection total SCAM here! Had a lot of work done to fix up my car in New York, its totally safe and road-worthy, and sold it to my BFF. She took it to Brooks-Huff for MD inspection, inspector wanted $3500 of repairs before he can pass it. Thats more than this car is worth! We even showed him paperwork proving the repairs were done in New York but he got really defensive and condescending. AVOID THIS PLACE!

Scammers!! Went it to figure out what was wrong with my car said it was 2 broken in half control arms and I needed 4 new tires. Said it was going to be $2,000+ to fix. I took it to 3 different shops for estimates and found out that my control arms were close to brand new. Only ended up being $622 from tire pros with 4 new tires and alignment. I would avoid this Goodyear at all costs! They will try to scam you. I never write reviews but this was important so people know.

Im a car guy and do most work to my vehicles myself. Only time in to a shop is when a machine is needed that I dont own (like tire balancing and alignment). I am always waiting for lackluster repair, bad service, and bait and switch pricing. I feel for the people out there that dont know about cars and get taken by shops everyday. That being said, Brooks-Huff is NOT one of these deviant shops. Excellent service, fair pricing, and competent employees! % stars... Brought my car in for an oil change from the Groupon Brooks Huff ran recently. Ive received great service! They discovered a burned out brake light and a nail in one of my tires. The waiting area is clean, and they even have a Keurig. A lot of mechanic shops are not pleasant places to wait-this is not one of those shops. I would definitely come back here, even if I wasnt using a Groupon. Tim and Eric provided me with great service-polite, friendly and prompt. Thank you!

We were quite pleased with the Brooks-Huff in Towson. Visiting from Las Vegas, our rental car had a tire which continually lost pressure. Doug at Brooks-Huff in Towson helped us and finally found the problem - an old flat repair plug that was leaking. We would go there again.
