My 7 year old Subaru needed some work. (First time in 7 years that it had an issue!) I was given a beautiful loaner car while my car was being repaired. Not what you expect from a car dealership. Comfortable and friendly environment. Overall very satisfied with the service and attention to detail from the young man Marco. If you are looking for a new or pre owned vehicle, stop down and ask for Marco.

New key fob not programmed correctly, and not checked before sending it out the door. I had to return the same day to have it programmed again. They were apologetic, but I wish it was done right the first time. Usually great service. This time a fumble. We’ll see going forward.

Center Subaru was great, then it got bought out. The new owners kept the great staff but jacked up the prices and eliminated all discounts. Oil change with tire rotation was $94.The staff are really great, but the owners will drain your wallet and will then condescendingly explain why they wont honor any of center Subarus discounts.They did carry over my lifetime warranty from center Subaru but I dont want to deal with them any more. Very disappointing.

I purchased my 2021 Forester Limited on the last day of March. I had been researching quite a bit so I came in with LOTS of questions. My Sales rep, Robert Lasko, was patient with all of my tedious questions. I knew I wanted to make the purchase, but I dreaded the Let me talk to the manager tricks and all the other hassle that comes when buying a car from a dealership. 7/1/21 Spoke to Steve and was told the car was available. Get there just 1/2 hour later right on schedule to find out they made an appointment already with someone else. Would have been good to know before I drove there. Wont be backFollow up. 7/2/21. After being stiffed I went directly to another dealer and bought a used Subaru there. It took 2 hours start to finish. It was a good price on a decent car and they valued my business more than Gengras Subaru. I read Gengrass reviews after the fact and it seems that stiffing people on appointments is standard procedure there. Stay away.

I tried to buy a vehicle from a woman named Cheryl. She was the worst person Ive ever dealt with. The rudest person I have come across in my ENTIRE LIFE . Not to mention Ive bought many vehicles in my time. She was so rude not to mention the car broke down and wouldnt fix the problem. Not to mention CHERYL POIRIER was completely intoxicated when I can into the store at 10am. I came back 4 days later and she smelled like a brewery. She hides her alcohol in her coffee cup. Worst experience Ive ever tolerated.

I just got a subaru off of Carvana. I discovered an issue that was supposed to not be. According to carvana it was all working. I took it to Gengras to inspect it, because now I was paranoid. They found a leaking strut to boot, and a bottom plate that had taken a hard hit but carvana had not reported that. The technician at Gengras showed me everything, and educated me more about subaru. The whole experience was very streamlined and efficient, they even had my time there down to a T on how long it would take. Waiting room was clean with free refreshments, if I stick to Subaru as a brand Im def sticking with Gengras as my car support!

They certainly know how to treat their customers. Didnt have to wait long. Was kept informed. Will be using them in future.

Rating based on customer service for service department. I paid for a full detail with oil change. I made an appointment for Saturday. I was told there was a staff shortage and that my car probably wouldnt be ready. I picked it up Monday. Not a huge deal but then there were still spots on the passenger seat and back seat. Somehow there are new spots on the ceiling. Disappointed.

How theyre told to treat customers. Whether or not theyre being honest or just serving themselves. He was honest, personable and didnt try to force us into anything we didnt want. He listened patiently and answered all of our questions with our best interest in mind. The sales manager, Joe Caberera was exactly who you would hope to find running a car deslership. Hes a customer first sales manager which is beyond hard to find anywhere or with any brand. He wanted to make sure we left there with exactly what we wanted and feeling good about it and we did both. I would recommend Gengras Subaru to anybody within 200 miles looking for a car. Spend the extra travel time going here because youll save it in time spent at any other dealership.

Ive been taking my Subaru for regular maintenance and repairs to Center Subaru in Torrington for over 4 years. Never had an issue. Went for a larger service just after the switch to Gengras. Not only was the service higher than I had priced out a couple months prior so I could budget for it... they listed a whole host of things that needed to be fixed for insane prices that I had never gotten from Center. I always expect to pay more at a dealership, but my car is under warranty so it has been fine. Absolutely outrageous. I was quoted $600+ to replace a single headlight and $400+ for a brake pad replacement. When I questioned the prices I was given the runaround like I didnt know what the replacement parts cost. Not worth it for me anymore even though they are 5 minutes from my house, what a shame.Edit:6/25/3012 I asked my husband to take the car for an oil change to see if they would give him a lower quote for the brakes. They just quoted him$1049 for brake pads on my WRX. Just brake pads. Ps, I got battery then OEM pads for $80 and its an hour long job.
