Tried several times to get tires. Walked in and made appointments.I even emailed corporate about problems. Never got a reply. Go somewhere else. Try Edwards Tires in Wall. Walked in got the tires I wanted plus a tire for my trailer in about an hour, great prices.

Gayle was very nice when I spoke to her on the phone. I was very appreciative that when my daughters car broke down I was able to have it towed there. Unfortunately when we picked up the car the windows ahd been left open in the rain. All the contents of the back seat were soaked.

This place is great caught a flat tire and called on Sunday evening and they were able to get me in Monday morning around 7:45am I came back to get my front tires replace a few days later

I would not recommend using this location. I made an appointment for new tires for 9 am and when I got there they informed me that the tires wouldnt be in till noon and didnt know why my appt was confirmed till 9. Luckily, and the only positive thing I can say, is the lady at the front desk was accommodating and had another set of tires that would fit my truck. However these were not the tires I wanted.wish I got her name because she was obviously the only one there who did her job. Tires were installed and 5 days later there is a terrible vibration in one of them. Called the location and they said they couldnt get me in for a week. So I called the corporate hotline, and they said a regional manager would investigate it. So now I have to drive around on a bad tire/install till I hear from a regional manager. ABSOLUTELY DEPLORABLE SERVICE!

Gayle, The manager of the store it’s one of the most pleasant people I’ve ever dealt with especially as a woman trying to get her car fixed pretty much a damsel in distress I was I have been to two tire places before I got to her store and her personality was absolutely amazing you can tell it spills over onto her coworkers Tom Joe and Sandep!They were quite busy and I thought I’d be there for a long time but seeing the New York post in the waiting room I figured I just read the paper for an hour or so, I didn’t even have The chance to do so that’s how efficient they were and the friendliness of the whole staff is infectious they should be commended truly commend it I will tell all my friends to go there from now on I have been a Pep Boys Kind a gal from my three tires and my sons two cars over the last 15 years but I am done with them this store deserves another 10 in customer service and friendliness and cleanliness I look forward to seeing them again for my next car issues, I hope These people get credited as it is much warranted

I found a screw in the tread and center of my tire. I dropped the car off at 11am this morning. Considering the fix wasnt a big deal, either a plug or a new tire...I didnt stress over it. I actually work across the street and can see the office from my front window. At 5:34pm I called to find out the status of my vehicle since I had no heard anything. I was placed on hold for over 3 minutes and told I would be called back. I watched from the window as Gail walked to my car and inspected the tire. She walked back in and I got a phone call. I was informed that they ordered a tire and that is what they were gonna do. He asked if Gail had called me and told me, I replied no and was surprised that I needed a tire when to my knowledge it just needs a plug. I could be wrong...I received no call to let me know that it wasnt fixable. I believe that my car was forgotten about and Gails inspection was the extent of them checking. I was told by the representative on the phone that he will bring it in now and see what he can do. I watched as the car was brought to the service area. I waited...and waited...and waited. At 6:21pm I watched Gail and the manager lock the front door, close the doors and walk to their cars. I received NO CALL about the status of my car. I have no idea what is going on, how much anything is...when it will be fixed. NOTHING! If I have to get a new tire, so be it! But call me and let me know so I can make arrangements for work the following morning! This is horrible customer service...what is this branch run like a frat house? Disgusted that my car is in the hands of people I cant trust or rely on to tell me what is going on stay away!!!!

VERY very disappointed with the service I received. I was called and told my car was ready and I picked it up the next day to find it trashed. All of my belongings were thrown in the front seat of my car and everything was soaking wet. It was raining outside and they left my windows open, my front seat was soaked and all of the belongings in the car were wet. There was dirty rags left in my car all over. very unhappy.

I have had several repairs recently from 4 new tires, alignment, oil changes, and hub and bearing replaced. Gayle and Jimmy were an absolute pleasure to deal with. Amazing service! I went in on a Saturday morning with a flat and they were packed. They said they could give me an appointment for the next day, but someone came out to my car with me anyway to check out the problem so they would be ready for me when I came back. I was advised by one of their associates to replace the tire, as a patch or plug would have been a blowout risk because of the location of the hole, but they told me they would be able to get a replacement pretty quick. I was pleasantly surprised when 2 hours after I left I got a call saying they got my new tire and that I could come back when I was available! After that it only took about 15 minutes for someone to swap out the new tire. I could not be more pleased with their service

This location took very good care of my 2017 Nissan Maxima Platinum. I called in advance and spoke to Gayle to schedule an alignment appointment. I was there within 2 hours. They mentioned being understaffed so the wait times were a little longer, but I didn’t mind waiting as they let me watch the work that was being performed and updated me with everything along the way. I came in for an alignment and I was informed that the symptoms I noticed could be because of unbalanced tires (which made sense because my tires are almost bald at this point lol) so Sean balanced my tires and checked the alignment. It was a little off so I gave them the okay to go ahead and adjust that as I originally planned and no further questions were asked. Here’s a tip, be kind and professional and they will take care of not only your car but your wallet as well. Thanks again Gayle, Xavier, and Sean!

Pleasantly surprised how quickly I was taken care of without an appointment. Was told 30 mins for car to be looked at which was fine for me and I was in and out in 20. Entire staff was upbeat and friendly and the gentleman at front desk was super kind and accommodating. Would recommend.

I had work done to my car here and the prices were more reasonable then other shops around. Guy at the front desk was cordial, friendly, easy and pleasant to work with. Price was giving to me over the phone and he honored no problem. The lobby can use a little cleaning. Other then that I had a great positive experience here.I returned to this store and I have to lower my rating, I was giving a waiting time of 2 hours to get an oil change and a tired repaired, it took 6 hours. I notice they assigned my truck to one of the slower mechanics as well. Bottom line if you going to visit this place, expect that it will take a long time

Pleasant experience. As a woman getting your vehicle serviced it can be intimidating. Joe made me feel comfortable and walked me through everything. I didnt feel like I was being swindled. This was my 2nd time having them service my vehicle and I would definitely be coming back.

It was a pleasure dealing with Gayle from the moment I called to make an appointment for my oil change through the completion of my service. She was friendly knowledgeable and I listen to her be concerned with other customers while I was in the waiting room.

Would not recommend - issue with communication and time to perform minor repairs. Over 24 hours and no calls and miscommunication when I did call to check status. The manager did comp me for the minor work that had been done and offered free oil change which is only reason I gave 2 stars. I will take my business elsewhere though.

Thats the worst place to go to.Bad management, no professionalism. Dont go there. I recently bought 4 new tires there after 5 days one of the tire went flat because it was a defective tire, so I went back to them to just give me a new tire,they say they cant because you they couldnt find what was wrong with the tire or in other word they dont have the machine to test the tire,so instead of just giving me another tire and they can figure out what is wrong with their tire later on, they tell me to go to another store they have in Lakewood. Had to call out for work just because they know the tire is not good but they didnt have the proper equipment to test the tire. Mind you I have all road hazard, insurance on the tires.

I had waited longer than I wanted to get my oil changed and Ive been using my high beam lights as regular because my driver side front light needed to be replaced. Last time I had similar work done elsewhere, it was so expensive! Ive been taking all my, and my extended families cars here for years. Jerry and now Gayle and all the Toms River staff are great. They kept me up to date with what they found and what I really needed, compared to what I didnt really need at the moment. They dont try to rip you off, we brought one car in because a dealer in the area told us we needed significant and pricy work done. Figured Mavis was cheaper so brought the car there for the work, not only were they cheaper, they dont me that half the work the dealer said we needed was BS. They were up front and detailed in their pricing to me before any work was done. Pricing is good compared to competitors. I’ve never had any issues when dealing with them. I definitely recommend TR Mavis for your car needs.

I dropped off my car on a Sunday to have a tire repaired and have the tires rotated. It was there for four hours and they could not find anything wrong with the tire. They also did not rotate the tires but said they they did. I previously marked the tires. Disappointed in Mavis Toms River.

Poor customer service. Got my breaks done last week only to hear some noise on my car ever since. They refuse to fix it after scheduled my car today, my car was sitting in their lot all day today untouched. Only for them to tell me their person left. STAY AWAY

Second time giving them a loose tire to mount and balance and they didnt balance it. It has the same sticky and hit on weights from when I mounted and balanced the last tire on the rim a year ago. Also second time i got a quote over the phone and i no one knew who i was when i gave my information. At this point im just going to buy my own tire machine so atleast I know my tires are balanced

It is unfortunate when you have a bad experience at a business.I went to have 2 tires replaced 6 months ago and called ahead confirmed they had tires in stock and made the appt. Dropped the car and again confirmed they told me done by end of the day. 4 p.m. called and was told they only had 1 tire in stock and I would have to wait until the next day. This happened again and finally on the 3rd day I was able to get my car back. With 2 new tires.Figured this was a 1 off and tried again today. Needed a patch on my daughters tire called ahead. I was told able to be gotten right in. Brought car over and then there were 2 people in front of me assured it was going to be quick, 45 min. later still waiting 2 cars completed and someone had pulled up to a bay and ahead of my car and was taken ahead of me. I asked if I could have my keys back and they said I could be taken right away I declined.The response was they said they were really busy and did 40 to 50 cars a day and it was hard for them to fit people in. I said that is what I should have been told when I called 45 min earlier. The review is self explanitory. Say what you mean, mean what you say. That is good customer service.

I brought my old Subaru Baja in because coolant was leaking from it. I dropped it off and they told me I not only needed a new radiator and sensor but brakes. Okay no biggie so I got the brakes done and a new radiator and sensor. I pick my car up to take it home and as I get to my house my car starts to overheat. I get it brought back to the shop and they tell me they didn’t put enough coolant in the radiator. And say I’m good to go now. I once again take it back home and the engine starts to over heat and leak now. This back and forth went on for days till finally my car was unable to be driven and the engine is completely shot. Not putting enough coolant back into my vehicle ultimately destroyed my engine.I have since been trying to get in touch with management about this and I feel I shouldn’t be paying for repairs that lead to me having to get a new car. Because I can’t afford 7k on a new engine. This place does great on tires and breaks but I won’t ever trust them again after what happened with my Subaru. Management has still yet to get back to me about my bill on the shotty job done on my radiator. I’ll pay for the breaks that were done right but the radiator job with almost no coolant put in it is not okay.

Prompt, courteous attention to my tire issue.

I bought a brand new battery a few months ago (not Mavis). Long story short the battery died as roadside assistance came and quickly jump started the battery. Two weeks later same problem. This time roadside assistance could not jump start the battery so the car was towed to nearby Mavis on Rt 37 in Toms River. They did a FULL diagnostic of the car and told us we needed a complete brake job and a new starter at a combined cost of $1,600. We trusted Mavis and gave the OK.Fast forward. A few days later they said the car was repaired and we could pick it up. We paid for the repairs over the phone. Upon getting the car and starting the engine every warning light on the dash appeared. We were horrified but were told by Richie it was safe to drive as it would take a half an hour for everything to normalize. As we were driving home ten minutes away, smoke started coming out of the engine. We turned the engine off. When we tried to restart the engine the battery was once again dead.Roadside assistance towed the car back to Mavis. The mechanic who worked on the car then called to say the valve covers were leaking as it was shorting out the alternator and we had to pay another $500 to fix that. We called the store manager and advised him we werent paying another penny. He diagnosed the car and told us it was the starter. If the valves were leaking the mechanic had to see it when installing the starter. They should have called us before putting in a new starter which wasnt the problem. The car was never smoking before. Regardless we brought the car there because it wouldnt start. So now they want us to pay for a valve cover job which the mechanic says IS the problem.Instead of recognizing how frustrating this is as MAVIS misdiagnosed the problem as to why the new battery was going to dead now 4 times including after Mavis installed a new starter at a cost of $700 they want us to pay another $500 to apparently fix the valves leaking into the alternator which they say is NOW the real cause of the battery dying. Obviously their mechanic is either incompetent or stupid because why would he have replaced the starter knowing the valves were leaking into the alternator; secondly why would he have not stopped to call us the customer was f he saw the valves leaking which was NOT on the diagnostic report; and finally how does MAVIS charge us $1,600 to pick up the car saying its repaired when in fact it wasnt even safe to drive home.Instead of apologizing and fixing their travesty of errors and inconveniencing us, the manager is holding the car waiting for his regional manager to advise him what to do. We brought the car in simply for a dead battery. Now were out $1,600 and every engine warning light is on, the battery is now dead a 4th time, the engine is smoking which it never did before, and Mavis is trying to hold us up for another $500. We have no confidence in this mechanic whatsoever.

Not a happy customer. Was shopping for the best price and was sold in the deal here and the idea of we are not busy rite now,we will get it done fast. Brought 2 loose tires in and it took 5 hours and for me to call them to find out. I called and immediately was put on hold for 5 minutes. My guess is they forgot and than realised when i called.On top of that when i got the wheels back the wheel weights were falling off because they didnt clean the surface,it was full of break dust and grime. So i was charged an extra $20 for balancing only for them to fall off. All of these issues are small but as a professional shop i expect better service and care for my parts. Will not be going back unfortunately.

I brought my daughters jeep in with 2 flat tires.(she hit a snow bank and the tire valve stems broke. even though we came in late they got the jeep back on the road before they closed.so my daughter was able to get to work on time the next day. definitely would recommend.

If you are a young female, I would 100% not recommend coming here. I felt completely taken advantage of because of my gender and age. I came in yesterday morning with a leak in my front tire. I asked if they would take a look at the tire and see if repair was possible. After looking at my car I was told that the tire was not repairable and that I needed not one, but three new tires as well as new brakes. I did not ask anyone to look into any other issues with the car. What bothers me about this, was that when I left I had a charge on my statement for a battery check that I never asked for. The receipt also said customer states check brakes, test TMPS system & batteries, which I absolutely never said. This is 100% fraudulent. When reviewing my receipt after leaving I noticed that BOTH the spelling of my name and my address were completely wrong. So if I ever need to use the warranty on the tire they had me purchase, they will be unable to find my information. I called this morning to complain about the service and at the very least have my information changed to reflect my correct name and address. I was told by Anthony, they would investigate and call back later. 5 hours went by, no call. I called back again and was told they would call me at the end of the business day. Still waiting on that call...

My tires I thought were low and after numerous times adding air to the front driver wheel the indicator still kept staying on. I went to Mavis on Route 37 and spoke with Richie and explained my problem. He said to bring my car over to put air in all my tires and see what was going on. To my surprise it was the front passenger tire that needed air. 🤣 Richie was so helpful and really helped me out. Service there is great. Thanks Richie!!!

I went in for 4 tires and an oil change. I was told probably 2 hours. I call 4 hours later was told it was just being pulled in. 6 hours later it was done. I never put more than 35 psi in my tires so I called up and told them it has between 41 and 44 psi in the tires which I know because of my monitor. I was told you dont go by the tire you go by the door of the car. Well my car says 35. I guess I have to go and let the air out until the proper air is in there. If you dont mind tying your car up for the day than its fine.

I made an online appointment for the next day for a oil change and tire rotation, i was in and out in less then a hour!! the staff there are very friendly and attentive. i highly recommend bringing your vehicle there..

I’ve use Mavis shops before but this maybe shop tops them all staff was courteous polite and very helpful and did there for your needs I would recommend anybody going to this Mavis which is on 37 in toms River thanks again Gail for all your help.
