I took advantage of the Wednesday special....2 coney dogs, fries and a root beer float $5.99. It was delicious and well worth the money. The root beer float was served in a tall malt style stainless cup with hard hand dipped ice cream. Ohhhh so good! If you like true homemade pies, crust and all this is the place to go.

Food was plentiful and reasonably priced. Overall, it was standard diner fare. There were a lot of choices for soups and pies. The waitress seemed overwhelmed and snapped at us a couple times which was a bit upsetting because until that point we were having a good time.The first time came after she asked if we wanted dessert. We said maybe and to give us a minute. She came back a few minutes later with the bill. We said that we had decided to have some pie. She sharply retorted Well, its gonna be a bit, cant you see whats going on?! I am the only waitress!That stunned me because I had not expected immediate service. I saw that the diner was filling, but had thought that the other girl who was bringing stuff out was working as well. Regardless, a quick ok, sounds good. I will be back with you in a minute. Would have been great.When she came back, we asked what kind of pie they had. Instead of just telling us, she said sharply Its on the board over there and pointed. I replied, yes, but we cannot read it, could you please just tell us? It could be older eyes, but I dont wear glasses and had an eye exam done about a year ago. The pink chalk was hard to read on the chalkboard across the way. Again, it was a simple question that was met with rudeness, more in the tone than in the actual words.It was clear she was irritated.So, I would have given 4 stars based on food expectations, but deducted one for the service. The pie was good, but I am not a fan of the course sugar used on the top, but that is a personal preference. I would not order again. The fruit and crust were otherwise delicious. overall, the food was okay, nothing special. The space and decor were comfortable, but based on the friendliness of service, it was not a place that I could recommend. Hopefully, this is a one off for them.

This place i will not eat at ever again. Not only are they not up to par for the current covid 19 but the bathrooms were dirty and stunk, the food was awful, the service was slim to none but most of all the entire place smelt of mildew and must. I will not eat at the Mayberry diner in Sylvania, OH.

Yum.. Always good food and service. But unfortunately 8 adults came in with no face mask and no one said a word to them this bothers me we may order out but not eat in until the rules are followed. Its easy to look up at the door when someone opens it and say face masks are required here.

Place was hopping! We had a party of 8 n they accommodated us very quickly. Our waitress was very sweet and efficient. We ordered a wide variety of foods and were not disappointed in any of the dishes. Will definitely recommend this great place to anyone passing through!!!

I came here once and loved it. I come in about 3 times a week. But the last 3 times have been terrible my food has tasted microwaved. The eggs were dry, the potatoes werent cooked properly. Not too mention u can see your waitress eating and not washing her hands afterwards.

1st time in for lunch after a soccer game around the corner. 3 people eat a filling lunch for under $20. The food came out quick and was excellent. We had a chicken sandwich, Greek salad, and a soup/sandwich combo and all tasted great and trendous value for the money.

NEVER a bad meal or service. My wife and I go to the Mayberry Diner at least 2 times a week. They have 3 locations but we go to the 2 that are close to us. Very friendly staff. We live 1 mile from the Sylvania diner so we walk to the diner, have breakfast or lunch then walk back home. 10 stars if we could go that high.

Came here to pick up a to go order on behalf of someone else. From the borderline surliness of the person taking my order to the persons explicitly telling me what format I needed to make the order in to ease their life with their POS system I will not be personally eating here or recommending it.
