Being a global traveler this is my review of Star Diner on Central. Its a nice quaint establishment with a cozy feel. I ordered egg whites and fruit due to not wanting to feel full. I also had a bite of my gf sausage patty that she had. The food got the job done, it was stellar since I only had egg whites so I really couldnt judge on a larger scale. The staff was nice, especially during this pandemic era with low staffing, I feel they did a pretty good job attending to us. They waitress we had was nice, she kept bringing us water when our cups were low. The prices were also good. Between 3 people the bill was less than $30. Overall I give this place a 4 considering Ive been to many other diners in different towns and this place is a staple in Toledo.
Good food and menu variety. The waittesses are fast and attentive. The food is prepared as order in a timely manner. Good place for breakfast or lunch. All locations we have visited are adequately staffed and managed.
They treat certain color people wrong the manager ignored me so did the workers I asked for a different drink multiple times an she looked at me then walked away an proceeded with her day my table is close enough to where they check out at so she can’t say she didn’t hear me then I over heard her say “she screamed at me so I didn’t come “ I never screamed I said excuse me louder after saying it multiple times as they walked passed me an the second photo is me asking her again while ignoring me now something is in my drink
We were lucky enough to get a table right away. We were immediately greeted and the girls were so amazingly awesome! The food was just as great! We will be frequent flyers!

I have been coming to Star Diner for years and it was always great, but this morning at about 8 am I received the worst customer service I’ve ever had at any restaurant. The server who greeted me when I walked in was unpleasant and shortly after I sat down, she walked by and literally threw a menu on the table. Didn’t bother to even look at me or talk to me. I am a server as well and I would never treat a customer like that. I was absolutely floored so I left and went to Scramblers across the street where I enjoyed my breakfast and excellent customer service.
Worked here for two days as a dishwasher, I did not once see any cook wash there hands at the in the kitchen.. I reiceved food poisioning from a chicken sandwich I had made for me as well… sheesh
This location is a Fam favorite. The team here really goes out of there way to help accommodate in the space they have. I know it can be tuff to make it work, but great job. The menu is good, but the plates are awesome.
Service was great, but $3.00 for a cup of coffee? Eggs were nothing to brag about.

Excellent biscuits! Made my omelet with chosen ingredients folded in center on request, however I was told as a rule when not requested or they are busy, ingredients are mixed in!? Isnt that a scrambler?

They did a very good job with the safety precautions and the staff was very nice and attentive. The food itself taste wise was ok. I ordered a all meat omelet and fries. The omelet was very cheesy (which I love), but was too small. Ive had bigger and better fir the same price at other establishments

Small place so sometimes when busy there is a wait. But worth it for the freshly cooked breakfast and just brewed coffee. One of my top favorite breakfast places.
Its decent enough, the restaurant itself appeared to be clean and well maintained. It sits in a nice area of town. This is whats informally called a legs and eggs restaurant, meaning the wait staff is all female, young, well put together, and a bit of a showpiece. Menu fare is middle of the road. Decent bang for the buck. The place is virtually always busy, so theyre doing something right in there.

Consistent high quality food and service. Personally like getting the waffle with blueberries & cream or the eggs benedict with smoked salmon. The cheesy potatoes are good, but they are about half the size of a brick and dense - one order is good for 2-3 people.

Used to eat there all the time when I lived in Toledo. Everytime I get to Toledo though I eat there the foods amazing The waitresses are smoking hot and the service is as hot as they are. Keep up the good work Joey

Food was great, our server was awesome, but what she kept saying about being watched on camera was ridiculous! I asked for extra lemons for my water and she said I cant, theres a camera that watches what we do and I cant bring you that many or well get in trouble. She still brought us extra lemons being the great server she is/was, but the fact that she was like watching over her shoulders and nervous to do so is beyond me!
Classic diner with breakfast and lunch options until 2pm. Very busy when we went around noon on a Tuesday. Food still came fast and was fresh. My plate could have been cooked a bit more but I equate that to the volume they were cranking out. My wifes food was excellent. Our server was friendly and prompt. Will go again as I live right down the street. There are a number of breakfast option a right here but it too the list so far.

I got the south of the border skillet and it was really good and filling.. I would recommend it to anyone.. The salsa and cheese were great with it..

Food was excellent...you will not leave here hungry, that is for sure. Staff are very attentive...my coffee never got cold and I never saw the bottom of the cup. I will be back.

Good place for breakfast. Food is very good. Waitresses wear very short skirts with shorts under. Dont really think that is needed for this place but thats they way they roll.

Had absolute horrible service. Have been at this location numerous times this time was horrible eggs and bacon both undercooked no refill on drink no check back from server with the exception of dropping off check.
The food wasnt very good at all. Had sausage biscuits and gravy. The biscuits tasted like they were microwaved. The eggs werent cooked the way I ordered them.
Good food, tried the cimnamon raisin french toast this morning. Found that it is better to go earlier in the morning as it is not as busy. Waitresses spend more time on the customers. Good job girls!

Never had a bad experience here. Service is good and quick and the food has always been great. Give it a shot...
Last Saturday while we were there, they allowed someone (not blind) to bring their large non-service dog with an assistance dog vest in to the crowded, restaurant. Dog stunk-not well trained and sniffing other customers and their food-we left shortly thereafter. I have no problem if a restaurant is going to allow pets (non-service animals) in their business. Just post a sign indicating this so folks can make a choice. FYI if it a true service dog (which is highly trained) for the blind, I have no problem with that.

One of my favorite breakfast places in Sylvania! Great steak skillet! Pancakes are really good and flavorful. Severs are very nice and work together.
The hostess needs to dress appropriate for work! The food portions are not consistent, and my pancakes were under cooked.
