The store looks small on the outside, but they have a really nice and wide selection! I was able to find some authentic Japanese brands of candy and crackers, as well as what I was really craving when I went - natto! Definitely worth checking out, and the shop owner will be super sweet when you stop by.

My family and I went in there on a lark and found tons of items that we are excited to try! Not only that the proprietor made us feel completely welcome and was incredibly friendly and I know we will be back. They have Kewpie mayonnaise which is the best and tons of new and fun things to try along with old favorites. There’s a little bit of everything it’s very carefully thought out to meet needs if you have specific ones as well as curiosity and exploration. Many thanks and we will come back.

The perfect one-stop shop! My partner is passionate about learning how to cook Thai food, and has been practicing very hard. This is how we came by the Asian Grocery and African Grocery. The owner is so incredibly kind. She brought us a second basket when ours was close to filling up. She always asks what we’re making and gives us superb advice on ingredients! And she recommends great snacks too!;) The wide diversity in products and excellent customer service have made this place a staple for our grocery shopping. Could not recommend more!

Been in here a couple times and the lady (owner?) that usually works in there is extremely friendly and knowledgeable. She offered a lot of advice on making sushi the first time we went and some Chinese dishes the second time. Huge selection if a bit cramped. Prices are about the same as the other markets in the area.

The best market in Toledo hands down! And Hong is super sweet and amazing and helpful. They have a nice variety to pick from. I come here all the time for all my favorite Japanese snacks and foods. This market has so much more than just Asian products as well. 10/10 highly highly recommend

Excellent place. The lady took the time to bring me a hand basket and by what I was already holding she quickly understood what I was going to cook. She even suggested a different product that was more appropriate for my recipe. This place goes on my favorites now. Will be back often.

Very nice little store, they offer a lot of different products ranging from medicinal, cooking, and home products. There’s a large selection of food products like frozen foods, sweets, seasonings, spices, sauces etc. I’ll start coming here more often for ingredients.

My husband and I love this store for their great selection of products and their excellent customer service. The owner, Houng, goes above and beyond when it comes to customer service and is always willing to help you find what you need and give suggestions. Stopping in the store is always a fun experience!

They selling fake black sweet rice . I bought them home. The rice seed looks black but breaking it the inside is white completely. So they’re fake black coloring the outside. I soaked them in water. The water became dark purple red. After draining the water many times, the water became red after 3 hours soaking. I dumped them all in trash. Cost me $35

Ive been going for a while now but always love visiting the store. The space always feels light and happy and the owner always greets you with a smiling face and remembers us every time we go. Shes always cooking something in the back and it makes the store smell amazing. She loves helping you find new foods and recipes to try. I never regret going and it always becomes the highlight of my day.

I first visited this store 2 years ago and yesterday I went back. I definitely like that its a lot more organized now compared to before. Nice owner as well. Great variety of selections to choose from. The only thing to watch out for is expired products. I understand that Toledo is not an area with high traffic shoppers for Asian products, but that is why 2 years ago I found this out about the expired products. Other than that i like this stores selection for Asian products I would look for.

Fake Black sweet Rice!!! When I put the Black sweet rice in rice cooker, Black color started to coming out. Now the water is Completely Black.i could of post a pic, but don’t see any options to post pics.

Just went in to get stuff for my first kimchi experiment. I had to ask the lady at the counter for help finding everything and she was so nice and helpful. I will definitely be back. I did not get her name but I was so grateful for her help. There was lots and lots of stuff to look at.

Asian Grocery is THE BEST place in town. Not only do they have an amazing selection, but their prices are fair, too. But the best part is how the owner goes out of her way to make sure that you are getting the ingredients you want based on the dishes you want to create. She is a wealth of knowledge and is so generous with her time and expertise. I would drive out of my way to visit this place, simply because I know that I will be taken care of. She also remembered my grandmother who used to be a frequent patron, which I thought was so kind and thoughtful.

Omg this place was awesome! Kimchee is delicious and soooo cheap! They also had gochujang in a much larger more cost efficient size! The lady who helped me was awesome! I would definitely recommend this place! 😊💜💜💜

They tend to have what I want but they never give your change back. Based off the receipt each time they charge tax to make it to the next highest dollar. There shouldnt be tax on food last I checked.
