Hardly acceptable.Putting stuff with gluten in the gluten free section caused me to have an allergic reaction.Will not be back.

This store is no longer fred Meyers. It now a Kroger stoe. Where they dont care about coustomers. The pharmacy is so messed up I cant trust what they say or what they distribute. This use to be a fun place to shop ever sense they remodeledAnd got rid of all the long term employees. Increased prices and run with least employees possible. I am going to safeway for now on.

This is not a supercenter store. Some departments are limited supply but the deli, wine and beer, and bakery are full size and the produce section has a lot of organic choices. There is a Starbucks inside the building. The clothing sections are for men and women but not kids; has a full sized electronics department and has a furniture section.

Best grocery store in the area. Low prices. Hunter in the meat department was very friendly and went above and beyond to help me out. Really appreciate that.

I love Fred meyer they always have what I am looking for and for great prices that dont cost an arm and a leg. They have met red pepper jelly NOONE sells it but this fred meyer does and I was so excited so happy its part of my 4th if July snacks and I found my favorite cookies and couldnt believe they had the white chocolate flavor.This location has great staff always working keeping product stocked and fixed/faced. They all are VERY friendly. They dont judge or look at you funny. I love this location and I appreciate their work ethic and their professionalism as well as super nice sweet and helpful.

I chipped a nail while running errand so dropped by to get some nail clippers. The nail care aisle was very depleted! I finally found a pair after searching. They were the last pair on the rack! I had to use self check out as there were only 3 cash registers open during lunch time. Didnt realize it had an inventory control sticker on the mail clippers. Set off alarm and no one came. Finally found a worker who said just to pass through the door. They werent interested in what had happened.

I love our local “Freddys!”They are offering in-store shopping, curbside pickup, & delivery.I can honestly say that the quality of the produce, bakery, meats, etc. is top of the line. And the prices are definitely very good.Anytime we have needed help I’ve always found everyone to be extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful.The produce is always fresh with a wide assortment of both regular and organic items.Plus there is a pharmacy and Starbucks.

I have to do grocery pick up due to covid and medical reasons in my family and they mess it up every time… the last time I ordered a shampoo and conditioner and they ended up bringing out two conditioners and I didn’t realize till I got home… they said they would refund me and I didn’t need to come back in, we’ll I never got refunded. I called today and they tell me they can’t refund me and I have to bring it in to return it… what’s the point of grocery pickup for our health and safety? I asked if I could give it to the employ for a return when I do a grocery pickup tomorrow and they said no. I have to come in. Very frustrating and now I have two conditioners… and no shampoo and I had to pay for their mistake.

This Fred Meyers is one of the best! Like after I picked a $3 plant outside, walked in and paid for it, There after they called Bob the security to assist me as a black person. I wished I am white. Imagine working there as a minority employee?

Fred Meyer is good for one stop shopping, because of their wide variety of items from housewares to garden products. They have a bulk and a good organic food section.

The (white) guy at the front desk at the Pharmacy isn’t very pleasant to patients! My first time at this pharmacy & was treated horribly by him! I didn’t get his name because he pushed me off to someone else so fast while having a terrible attitude at me! Young white dude works at the front pharmacy with a bad attitude…

James who works in the online shopping area (used to be click list, I dont know the current name) is excellent! Incredibly kind, he went back in for more bananas when I wasnt given any as they were out, but received their shipment since my order was completed! Lovely guy!

While buying groceries this week I saw two young male employees wearing their masks under their nose while working. This is a grocery store, that’s unacceptable. Otherwise it’s fine for a large chain grocer, but the employees stocking shelves can be pushy and obtrusive.

Typically I would say that Fred Meyer has very good service, I have been going to the store for at least 15 years of my life and I have seen it become remodeled and change over the years and it has definitely gone downhill. Not only is there a Safeway down the street that is much cheaper for basically everything in the store but you can also see more smiles and happy faces people who are motivated to help you, and the employees at other grocery stores dont make you feel incompetent. Theres also poor service.if you want a satisfying experience do not go to this Fred Meyer.

Cashiers work at a ponderously slow pace with only two stands open at a time to force you into the self-checkout. It’s easy to forget to use your reward card, the cashier won’t say anything and you end up paying 50% more unless you go to the even slower moving customer service to get it fixed. Also, those spheroidal cartoon characters on their ads and signs are unsettling and grotesque. Go to Winco instead.

Love this place! Great deals, and some of the most obscure food ever that you dont normally see in our area. Also fantastic beer and wine selection. Friendly staff

Typically I would say this Fred Meyer employees are very nice at this location but this time I was SO disappointed in my experience. I was shopping in the produce section and I was struggling to open the plastic bags and I asked an associate that worked in the produce department he had blonde shaggy hair and I believe his name started with an S? I was asking him for assistance while he was talking to another employee and he laughed in my face and turned his back towards me. It was extremely rude especially since it was a simple favor so I didnt have to take down my mask. Later I couldnt find a specific type of orange and I asked the same employee in the produce department where I could find it and he just pointed and say I dont know somewhere over there and didnt even look at me. Where is the friendly customer service at? Wheres the simple act of kindness?Why was he so hostile towards me?. Im so frustrated because the staff is usually very nice but this rudeness was completely unnecessary and not welcoming at all.I wont even bother coming back to this location due to this specific employee.

Just got home from this store. So done, Walmart is less convenient but the bakery is fresher. Bought vanilla cupcakes for $1.99.knew they were not fresh but did not expect them to be stale! So stale both cake and frosting were hard! Not worth 1.99 to drive back and stand in long line to get money back. Just wont buy there again.

Awful location and terrible staff. Went here to use a Fred Meyer gift card my job had given me. They turned me away at the register and said they do not accept Fred Meyer gift cards at this store unless they are a physical card. They said the digital one was unable to be scanned. They refused to try to scan it or even enter the number manually on it. They got a manager who conformed this store does not take gift cards at all apparently.Ridiculous that a store would not take a gift card with their own name on it. The manager was extremely rude and treated us very much like we were trying to steal something. I do not appreciate this kind of treatment when all I am doing is trying to purchase items in the store.Go here if you want to be treated like dirt by management and cashiers.

Went to return something and this one guy was so rude and yelling at manager and overall seemed like he hates his job with his whole life I’ve recently moved to tigard and love the people in Beaverton Fred Meyer but here in Tigard whole different story this really hit my nerve !!!! In the past Fred Myers has always been busy. And they even were this time. This morning I had to call the pharmacy to get my prescriptions moving and when I did they told me an hour. I showed up early hoping to get a flu shot as well my meds were ready and the pharmacist came over and explained what I needed to do. I was able to get it done on my phone in five minutes. Every time I pulled up to the pharmacy on the handicap cart the pharmacist Janell always looked up and took care of me right away. I have ALS and it is extremely hard to do anything. So when Janell stopped what she was doing. took her time to make sure that I was taking care of it really made my day. if I get recommend one thing, try and get to the pharmacy in the morning and expect delays through the pandemic. Thank you Janell.

I normally love this Freddie’s but I was in the self checkout today and needed help with my bottle drop plus coupon. The checker that came to help was extremely rude she was also nowhere to be found for the first 10 minutes after I pressed the help button. My receipt says it was checker 505. Not sure if she was just having a bad day but either way you are at work put a smile on and be polite.

This review about the pharmacy department, I am going to call my doctor office immediately to remove this Fred Meyer pharmacy location from file I would never wanna receive my prescription with them again the stuff have zero customer service, zero proficiency, If I am a Dollar Store I would not hire them, every time I get my insulin they just delay it for a couple of days, every time I have to fight even they know the necessity of getting such a medicine on time that’s terrible they have zero Customerservice zero credibility!

Picked up my first online order! Couldn’t have been easier. As a senior citizen I appreciate not having to go inside! Employee who brought our grocery was so friendly even though I am sure they are all stressed.

Unfortunately I only have time to shop at night, every time I go to this store it looks like no one has worked all day. I get that you are busy sometimes..but Wednesday night? In the produce area there is a blonde guy with an attitude. Asked if he had something in the back and he looks at me and said “don’t you see I’m talking here”. He was talking to another associate..I really hope these are not the standards here and he’s just a rotten apple.

Nothing like spending and hour to drive to a store and look for an item that their web site says in stock only to find out it isnt. Left my cart of groceries because they didnt have the woc to cook it in or the other 2 items that would have worked if they were in stock like the website said.Dont think Ill ever even go back to any Fred Meyer again even though its 3 min from my house and Safeway is 10. Plenty of other choices out there

I’ve been going to this store for about 6 months and up to now it’s been good.Today did a home delivery for first time. I was shorted one item so I called and asked for a manager and I got a female grocery assistant, who should’ve never been given a phone.I repeatedly asked for a manager. I explained to her the problem, she informed me that Fred Meyer has nothing to do with the delivery, and to check if I got an email. I checked my email and responded to her where she said she did not have to put up with this and hung up phone.I drove down to store talked to manager who gave me number for insta cart. While typing this, Insta Cart just handled the problem in five minutes.Mistakes happen but this individual acting like a child has me going elsewhere.

Dont make your customers feel stupid. Ive used the self checkout a million times. Ive entered my phone a million times. It was malfunctioning and the employee tried to tell me I was doing wrong and immediately took over like I was stupid

My wife had to go through the self-checkout because there were eighty people deep in BOTH of the lines they had open. Why do you have so many registers if you arent ever going to staff them? She needed assistance at the self checkout, but nobody could be found. Then when she goes to leave, shes stopped so that someone can go through her bag with a fine tooth comb!! Theres no louder way to accuse someone of stealing than searching through items that technically dont belong to them anymore. Once an item has been purchased and is in our personal reusable bag, what right do you have to search through it? If you want to validate that all of the items that have been bagged are accounted for, do it before theyre paid for. Not after.. I dont care how nice you are about it. Wheres your right?

This Fred Meyer is not counting people when they go in. Its completely impossible to social distance while you shop here. I tried to move around the store but ended up leaving because I could barely walk 3 steps without getting stuck where I was. As I was leaving I asked a worker if they would consider implementing CDC social distancing measures and he just shook his head at me without answering.

Decent as far as Freddies goes, but it would be better if employees were actually following CDC guidelines to prevent the spread of disease during a pandemic. @ the person stocking yogurt around 6:45 on June sixth, put! on! a mask! youre handling food! its a public health issue!

This place has definitely gone down hill. It is like they used the COVID-19 pandemic to become drastically worse at customer service than everywhere else. They cant even be bothered to answer the phone anymore.With more five other grocery stores with a few miles, why would I ever choose this store again?

Drove here to pick up an online order. I opted in for text notifications and didnt get any so I assumed the order was good. Not only did I not get some of the items I ordered (apparently out of stock) they also substituted one of my items without notifying me. I was also charged for 2 paper bags which I wasnt given or asked for. I called the customer service desk and the girl there could only interrupt me and repeatedly tell me that the items were substituted or out of stock. She did not address my issue with not receiving text notifications or being charged for the bags. It would have been better to get some sort of communication.

Been coming here for almost 40 years, and boy has this place changed since I was a kid. Lots of expansion, updating, etc. Good produce, usually well stocked with lots of variety from good, to clothes, to hardware.The store is well staffed. Good place to go and get almost anything you need in one stop.

I used to like this Fred Meyer, until about a year ago; since then, Ive not enjoyed shopping here. General parking lot issues are exacerbated by a significant chunk of the parking lot, which is always pretty full, being transformed into reserved Pick Ups parking (which I never see occupied) and the closing of one of the three entrances. Since then, every time I go in it seems entire departments or chunks of departments have moved (theres home goods on two separate ends of the store, for example). The departments that I actually go to Fred Meyer for (hardware, office supplies, etc) seem to shrink in size to accommodate a growing collection of seasonal/home decor items, or have been moved, leaving me stuck just trying to find what Im looking for (if its even available). I only shop here on lunch break where I work nearby, and otherwise opt for the location in central Beaverton whenever I otherwise need to go to a Fred Meyer for something.

It is 88F today and I was biking in the area. I stopped in to find a basic first aid item, which they ending up not having - no problem there, Id find it somewhere else. I then decided to grab a cold drink for the bike home and, like Ive done many times, recycled the receipt because there was no reason to have it for a possible return. On the way out, while drinking my cold beverage, I was accosted by an employee for not having my receipt for the drink. After a stern lecture, I offered to dig my receipt out of the bin where I had placed it not 15 ft in front of the employee. I was told that was not necessary, received another lecture and then was allowed to leave.Its a hot day, I simply wanted to drink the drink I had already purchased. It is no wonder that the newer customer-service grocery stores are destroying these old Kroger chains.To be clear, I realize the employee was simply following protocol set by the management - my issue is with them only. Thus, I encourage you to vote with your wallet and head somewhere else where the management respects their customers. I highly recommend going somewhere else for your grocery shopping - there is a Safeway nearby on 99W, I have never had an issue there.Stay hydrated out there, Portland!

They try but FM self scan still sucks after 20 years.Kroger is teaching us the worst possible lesson in American consumerism.I go to Fred Meyer only because I have no other choice but it makes me sick to see all those cash registers completely empty and hundreds of customers in there if absolutely no service

This Is a good place, it stays late open but awful when it comes to the COVID -19 standards empty sanitizer wipe, lack of people wearing masks and you can even see some employees not wearing masks when they’re working there. I understand face masks are irritating but at least wear it when around costumers. Just be careful when ur there.

This store is going through some changes. The remodel will be a welcome upgrade as it has to the many FM stores throughout the Portland area. It’s hard finding items now but once they’re finished shopping will be a breeze once you orient yourself within its walls. I’ve been in several FM stores before and after remodel and can say it’s well done. Especially the ones that install the beer tasting bar!!!

Fred Meyer is such a fantastic store! They have got a little bit of everything from electronics, to groceries, to clothing, home goods, and even gardening supplies. Its nice to have a store that is close by that I can usually find what I am looking for. The staff have all had pleasant demeanor and the store is very clean.

Very nice interior. Spacious. Wide aisles. Organized a bit odd tho. Grocery in the middle with non grocery on both sides. Parking lot is also a bit tricky. Overall good.

3 employees working in the electronics department today not a single one said anything to us or asked if we needed any help

WAS a wonderful store, but now it is owned by Kroger. They got rid of thousands of products, and added more groceries of lower quality. Now I avoid going there in favor of online shopping.

Previously a cultural and historical gem, now a sterile boring box.This place used to have THE greatest deli counter and produce 20 years ago. Today its a basic boring box, looks and sells the same stuff as its competition.I keep going because its damn convient and the staff are union.

One of the reasons that I love shopping at Fred Meyers is that they are always well-stocked so I can count on going in like I did today .... Going to the Isles where I know the makings for cookies and a cherry pie or going to be and as always there they are so its a very quick Pleasant shopping experience and the checkered bill was so nice and well theyre just so many good things I can say about Fred Meyers I encourage anybody who hasnt shopped there to give it a chance and I think you will quickly make that your main store!!! As always today I had a fantastic shopping experience!

Their return policy is absolutely infuriating! 1st effort ). they DO NOT REFUND YOUR MONEY, but will exchange it. They did not have any in stock 2nd effort. We returned AGAIN STILL NONE IN STOCK ! 3). Beaverton Fred Meyers had NONE IN STOCK! 4th Visit). Back to original Fred Meyers because now we are out of the return policy they cannot help us. THIS IS NOT CUSTOMER FRIENDLY!!!!!

This is my local Freddies, & has been for a little while now. Its one of my favorites, as the layout is easy to get used to, & its organized & clean. The staff has always been friendly & courteous. I do the majority of my grocery & random goods shopping here before I look elsewhere, as the prices are fair & the convenience is unparalleled. Ive even had a few lengthy & pleasant conversations with a few of their employees, & they were eager to assist & chat.Overall, highly satisfied.

They dont know where anything is in the store. Its definitely not Fred Meyers anymore. Nothing is stocked and they just stand there like I just work here. The store Is empty not like it used to be. I wonder why!!!

The shopping was great and the prices were good. There was a chocolate covered strawberry stand with samples. I gave 4 stars because the customer service counter had a rude older lady running it and she is always too busy to be polite. Hopefully you dont need to go to the counter for assistance or bottle return.

We like the groceries, the clothing selections, the electronics / photo part of the store. Especially nice is the garden center. The built in Starbucks with its abundant comfortable seating is stellar!

The store is nice and big, things were clean and organized. I havent been to this one in a while but needed some groceries and it was on the way. My cashier kept talking to her bagging partner and wasnt paying attention to anything so checkout took too long. They put all my heavy items in a bag without handles and left my gallon of laundry detergent separate. Its super windy out right now and I had a very hard time carrying everything by myself. Wont be back.

Love Fred Meyer and shop there all of the time. 99% percent of the employees here are extremely nice and helpful at this location. The reason for the 1 star is a single employee, Vicki. I would give negative stars if I could. She might be the meanest person I have ever met. AND SHE WORKS WITH FLOWERS ALL DAY. I dont know how thats possible but it is.

This a great store, but I have to give it a three because they closed off the door by the pharmacy so you have to go way out of your way to pick up your medications also if you travel down the center isle way the isles are well numbered, but not yet labelled so your lost looking every where to find items you need. I hope the fix the label issue soon.

I called asking a very specific request and Shane went out of his way to go look for the item I was asking about and promptly got back to me. He was very sweet and apologized for not having the item.

We were looking for a short sleeve, button up shirt for my husband to go to a wedding this weekend. They didnt have more than a handful of shirts in his size and, all the sizes were unorganized. Most of the hangers were unmarked for size. The hangers that were marked for size didnt match the size of shirt on them. It was irritating!

They recently remodeled this location. Its clean and bright, has wide isles. This location has a lot of the self checkouts which helps with quick check out.

The chicken stand near the deli is always a hit or miss. I started going there on my lunches because of the great deal, and sometimes I would get great experience; The station was set up on time at 10AM, and they quickly were able to give me my food. However there are also frequent times where the chicken hasn’t even been put in the fryer and it was 10:30AM. This morning I went and the gentleman working at the deli stand informed me that none of the food had been prepared yet, and that the cook went in his break. The cook wasn’t going to be back for 10 mins, and it would have taken an additional 10-15 minutes to fry up the chicken. I’m only allotted a certain amount of time for my lunch...the inconsistency in what they advertise is unprofessional.

Great grocery store, and nice hours too. Theyre open from 7am to 11pm everyday. If you ever need help ask any associate and they will be happy to help you. Ever want to say something nice about a cashier or parcel, find yourself a person in a red vest and they would greatfuly pass on your kindness.

They steal money from you dont go

I dont much care for Fred Meyer. The prices are too high, the stores are too cluttered feeling, and the selections in certain areas are lacking. However, in some areas its superior (i.e. meat & fresh fruit Dept), but you pay a premium for that abundant selection. Ill go to Fred Meyer if I have a couple of things and I dont want to drive further away (FM is closest to me), but Im always muttering to myself Well, thats $3 dollars more, thats $1.50 more.... If you arent concerned about your food budget, then this review wont concern you overly much; however, if a food budget is a real issue, shopping at FM is only slightly better than shopping at Whole Foods.

There is just so much here! We are from Montana, and we wish we had a Fred Meyer here! We found everything that we needed, and it was great that we didnt have to go anywhere else! The staff was very friendly and helpful. Will definitely go back when we are in that area again!

This particular Fred Meyers isn’t too unique, but they are a great local chain of grocery stores! This one has difficult parking but a convenient layout for shopping.

Its certainly a grocery store. No doubt about it. I have bought sushi here a few times. It is often fish on top of rice. This is definitely food.

As their slogan goes One stop shopping is what Freddys is geared for. They do a pretty darn good job of providing that part but youll be paying more than at some other stores. We typically will split our shopping between a few stores to save money but when the list is packed with odds and ends, it is easier to just hit up Fred Meyer.

Helpful staff. Nice renovations with quality products. The new self scanner system makes shopping much easier as well.

Kids play area! Shopping with kids free~ while you are shopping, kids can play in kids playground area! Nice staffs and great security for kids playground. But it is very sad that they will close the area after July 8th.. please do not close out!!

Im updating my review because this location employs some staff that are incapable of doing basic math. When something rings up incorrectly, and the customer is trying to help by explaining what the issue is, dont make the customer feel like an idiot because YOU dont know how to do basic math.I cant say that Fred Meyer meets a standard of exemplary at any of its locations, but this one has been down sliding for quite some time.

Shop early, they tend to run out of things. The sushi there is good. The Starbucks inside is not. Avoid unless desperate. Use self checkout for fastest service.

Great prices and good selection. Produce quality could be a little better. Yesterday I purchased raw raspberries and discovered they were completely molded inside. That should never happen.

Very nice store and very helpful people usually I always find what I need. I have only had one bad experience and that was with a customer service employee. They got rid of the can return at this store and they only accept 28 bottles that the customer service people have to count by hand. As soon as I walked up and asked them to she got an attitude because she didnt like doing it

One of the least impressive Freddys Ive been to. The store seems to be understaffed & management is clueless & even rude. And speaking of Rude ... whos bright idea was it to cut down all the mature trees in the parking lot? Cant find a shady spot to park now, if your life depended on it. Brilliant planning, especially going into the summer months!

Are family has been coming here for 50 years. What can be more of a buy local than Freddys. I will do my part to ensure that they wont be pushed out by a big national box store chain, like the one that starts with a W....

Great place for picking up late-night shopping. Plus they have macarons for $1/ea or less, and my family love those :-) Parking is pretty easy, but park wisely: later at night only the Starbucks Entrance door is open. Baked goods can be gone by late-night as well, but in the daytime they have an excellent assortment! Plus housewares, decor and garden items... in terms of convenience, its like visiting a Walmart at 10 pm but nicer and without the long lines.
