We sent a 92 Honda Accord to Gary and his team to have the motor put in. After having it a few weeks he called my husband and told him a long lost of other stuff that was wrong with it and my husband proceeded to tell him to just fix it. He had this car for almost 5 months, we spent over 2,000 to have this car completely fixed. He called my husband today for him to come and pick it up and to pay off the remaining 700 we owed on the bill. After he left the lot not even 10 minutes later the whole tire flew off the car, causing a lot more damage and made my husband almost hit one of the big cement support beams for the highway. HOW DO YOU HAVE A CAR FOR THIS LONG AND IN LESS THAN 10 MINUTES ALMOST TAKE A WHOLE LIFE??? We will definitely be seeing him in court.

Reasonably priced. They worked on my Honda even though it had aftermarket parts and had everything running like nothing ever happened. Definitely recommend hes been around for awhile.

Is bought 3 vehicles from Gary all Hondas and the last one was a Honda Element which my son loves. I didnt think I would like it at first because it was more the shape of a box. Bought an 02 Accord for $5k. 2 weeks later had blue smoke out the tailpipe and oil light jumps on. Motor needs new rings and I’m told that it’s just recycled oil. Was charged for a synthetic oil change. Oil burnt out every 4 days afterwards. Now the engine misfires badly 3 weeks after that. Carbon in the head. He charged me $450 to redo the head. Keep in mind it’s been driven 7500 miles by this time. 3 months later, had to do a full tune up mind u they just “replaced it all” with the head job. More than likely just took the head off and scrubbed it with a steal brush and wipes it off. About 5 months later to current time I have to have a motor put in cause I finally took it to the dealership instead of letting him continue to work on it. Come to find out, the entire time, the engine was weak on the compression of the 3rd cylinder. Call and asked about his product as if I were a random person and got the whole scoop of how all his cars have been rebuilt and all in mint condition. Well after stating who I was he says well no we didn’t work that one out but bring it here and we can do something to get it going. A new motor rebuild is 1700 but we can work that out being that u have only driven it 20k miles in under a year. Get there 1.5 months later and he says o we never worked on it. Didn’t know you wanted to go ahead and have it done because of your finances. It’s a 2600 dollar job but maybe we can get it done for 1700 and that’s as low as I can go. Today I got a motor for 350 with 120k on it and labor is 450 to put it in. Do NOT buy from Gary Essick Honda. He sells lemons😒

The best in the business as far as Im concerned...

I would not recommend ANYONE to Gary Essick. My boyfriend paid WAY over price for a Acura Integra about 6 months ago. Well the DAY he got the car he had to have it towed back to the shop and get it worked on. It was minor at that time so I just let it go. Well about 2 weeks later it was messed up again! Well Gary worked on the car and “made” us think it was good to go. Well a few months pass and the car starts making a knocking noise and come to find out it spun a Barron. Well when you buy a car with a “Brand new motor” it shouldn’t have any damn issues for the price he paid for it. We had to end up selling the car for $6,000 less than what he paid for it because it would be so much to replace the engine. Do NOT do business with these people. Worst place in North Carolina to buy a car at!

Very disappointed in their services past year took car 3x for air which is still not working plus they kept my car week at a time also had key issues that they supposedly fixed and had nothing but issues with and wasnt able to work with getting it fixed i would not recommend or will i go back!!! Took to honda place it was the key had nothing to do with switch thanks!
