We enjoy shopping here, but it is difficult to find someone for help. They heavily push their harvest credit card. They told us items bought with the harvest card would get the rural king warranty for free, this is not true. The boot section is often a mess. It appears they deal with a fair amount of shoplifting as you will often find people’s old shoes in the shoe boxes.

On the last visit they had 9 mm cartridges... finally! Its been over 2 years. 3 stars not because bullet shortage but because Rural King is an okay store.

The cashiers are very nice. They have a wide variety of supplies such as heavy duty work clothes, food for humans and animals, plants, seeds, chickens, tools and more, and they do supply free popcorn shoppers. The people who answer the phone are polite and helpful. Plenty of parking. This store is ALMOST perfect. The only reason I didnt give them five stars is because I am visibly disabled and everytime I tried to get help, the staff would turn their backs to me and walk away. Several of them commented very loudly that they couldnt fit into whatever aisle I was in as they did so. (Most of them are pulling along loading carts.) So if you are disabled and will need assistance bring your OWN support person with you! They also do not deliver so if your disability prevents you from driving, find your own ride before you go there, and you should be fine.

I generally find everything I am looking for here. Its a pet friendly place. Id give 5 stars but customer service is iffy some days. Its a great store.

Animal cruelty.They have always taken sub-par care of their animals but what I saw when I went to the store yesterday was appalling. Many chicks with no food at all, and the ducks had no water. None. Many of the areas had no heat lamps on either and you could hear the chicks peeping loudly in distress. It broke my heart. :(I spoke to an associate nearby and he said that the person taking care of them does not come in until noon. This was around 10 a.m. I told him they needed immediate attention and he said that he would. I walked around the store for about 15 minutes and went back to check, nothing had changed. As I heading to the front to ask for a manager I ran into someone else talking to another associate about the issue as well. I mentioned that another associate was alerted too and they did nothing. She assured me that she would go right over and make it right. Well I waited another 15 minutes and nothing changed again.Once I got to see the manager she said that they were getting a new shipment and thats why the food/water had been removed and they had not been tended to. I told her about the associates and what they had mentioned and she just looked lost and confused and although she apologized and promised to make it right, I honestly doubt she did based on the track record. Rural King used to be the place I always bought my feed, but I cannot continue to give money to a store that does not value the lives of the animals they sell. They are living things that need attention and if the store cannot provide it they do not get my money.

Purchased some straw/hay. I actually dont know the difference lol. Good store.

The place was very disorganized. Prices were not marked correctly or you couldnt figure out what the price should be. I got to the register and was charged more than the price marked. Very disappointing. Less than one star.

We enjoy stopping in at our local Rural King. Although checkout is usually chaotic and/or has a long wait, they almost always have everything we need for the farm, and the employees are all friendly.

Needed leather conditioner for my saddle. They had it and I bought a lead. Thank you for having horse tack.

There was too much freight on floor couldnt shop very easily was very closterfobic and crowded even main isles where to crowded with freight been in retail alot of years so have learned alot of dos and donts still love the store in general

Went in for guinea pig hay. They were low on stock but had a different brand. Was friendly at checkout.

Kind of messily organized and was trying on clothes in the fitting rooms and one of them wouldnt close properly

I called ahead to make sure there was a specific mower in stock, after being on hold for close to 30 minutes, I was told it was in stock and available. I purchased this mower online right after getting off the phone. Then I proceeded to rent a trailer and head all the way there. (I live 1 hour away)When I got to the store, I went directly to online pick up orders. They sent me over to customer service, a younger woman, who then proceeded to tell me they had to cancel my order. I wasnt sure why, as I had called ahead to make sure the mower was available. Long story short, they were extremely rude and made it seem as if it was my fault that their employee forgot to tag a mower that went to layaway earlier that day. The manager said there was nothing that they could do. I found another mower at another RK location and since they had already charged me for that I mower I asked if they could call the other store, explain that they screwed up and let me pick it up there. Again, manager said there was nothing they could do and was extremely rude and not willing to help. Very poor customer service. The girl that was there kept saying it was not her fault, well tell me, whose fault was it?! Certainly wasnt mine....but now I have wasted a whole day, trailer rental, gas and didnt even receive an apology.

Rural King is a convenient place for me to shop. In fact, sometimes I just walk there!!They sell more than just farm-related items as the name might seem to indicate. I usually go there for household things like paint, gardening supplies, plumbing repair materials, or grass seed.I miss the popcorn machine. When COVID becomes a part of our past, maybe it can be brought back.

When it comes to getting a rain check On a Buying a tool getting a free battery I would not use the Terre Haute indiana store Youre better off driving to Paris Illinois manager there actually Offered to hold the batteries and call me when they came in 4 months later in Terre Haute they Lost paperwork And now I cannot get The battery!

Rural King is one of my favorite stores. I love their selection of garden items...the location is great for getting our livestock supplies...the boys loading in the parking lot are very helpful and work hard.

Ive always gone with my dad to RK to get bird seed. Weve also went there for supplies for our projects, Ive went there for clothing that is meant to be abused either out on the farm, or at job sites that would be tough on clothing. There is a lot of things under the roof of Rural King.

Rural King is just a really fun place to shop. You could get your popcorn to snack on while you walk around. I could spend hours looking at everything from ducks, chickens, clothes, and food items you cant really find anywhere else.

I wasnt happy with the floor help or lack there of. I needed a chain cut. Would have done it myself, but still would have needed someone to measure it. I call for help twice, in 25 min.

Hello I love shopping at rural king but this last month nothing in animals has looked healthy. Sadly no animal has had water the ducks look like there in very bad condition wich I could see them not making another month. Witch I probably will never by another animal from there or duck or chicken food... I would rather go to tractor supply where its cheaper anyway..
