First off my floor is complete and it is beautiful! If it were not for the unacceptable actions of a couple people (Team Leads) at West Coast Flooring the ratingcould have been at least a four. I want to commend Phil on not just the great work on this repair but the reinstall of my other room that he completed by himself last month. The first visit that included haste, disrespect and a poor job was already addressed and I thought resolved. I have enjoyed working with Greg during the follow up issues of the 1st install. However, I do have issues with West Coast Flooring.Jim (Team Lead) and Phil (installer) showed up on Wednesday afternoon unprepared to work. After taking the floor apart to fix the poor installation by the JR team, Jim said they had to go to Lowes to get supplies? You are kidding me right? They did not know they would need silicone sealant for the T-moldings, huh? That was odd but I was okay with it. While I am not sure why they both needed to go whatever, they were gone for over an hour. Upon their return they went to work putting the floor back together. All the end pieces had a ton of glue from the previous poor install. It was my expectation that the 1 inch or so of the end pieces would be cut off as was done by Phil in the other room. Well, my wife came outside where I was staying during their work so as to social distance. She asked me, they are going to leave those tore up ends on? I told her no, they will cut them off like they did in the other room. She told me they were laying them like that so I went to look. From a distance I could not tell if it was old glue or they were ripped up. So I asked Jim if that was glue or gouges? Jim replied, glue residue. So just to make sure I went to the planks, kneeled down to look. I could put about half of the thickness of my index finger into one of the gouges. Why did Jim tell me it was glue residue when he knew it was not? I said I dont want that in there meaning the chipped and gouged ends. Jim replied We have to and I replied I dont want that in there. Jim then said now with a little attitude What are we going to do? and I replied I am just saying if you leave that in there you will be buying a new floor and Jim said Who me? I said your company. He instructed Phil to remove the end pieces and cut off the ends as he should have to start with. I went back out to my courtyard and was texting on my phone when Jim came by on the way to cut the ends. Jim in passing turns to me and says DONT PISS ME OFF. What? No way is that acceptable. I did contact Greg at West Coast flooring and gave him the heads up on what occurred. At this point I am weighing how I will respond to this. Because this seems to be a recurring customer service culture issue with West Coast Flooring foremen, I will take action. At the very least I advised Greg that both the first review I toned down for them will go back up on their site along with this incident. I will also be placing some actions against COSTCO as this is their vendor that subject us, my wife and I to this poor and unacceptable experience.I do want to thank West Coast Floorings Greg, John (Management) for working with me and Phil (Installer) for the outstanding install and great respect he showed. As for Jim, he was very meticulous after the incident and I enjoyed him outside of the issue stated. However, you dont get to threaten your customer.

Just got my flooring installed last week in this weird COVID environment. West Coast provided outstanding service from the time I walked in to search for flooring, to the install. John, the owner, provided impeccable service. One of the most revealing ways that the character of a company surfaces is how they deal with honest mistakes. John not only made corrections, but gave us an expert, brutally honest flooring consultation that led us to flooring that we love. I have to say, JR Flooring, the installers were amazing. They were professional, courteous and respectful. JR was especially a treat to deal with. He conducted the work of his crew like a beautiful symphony. Hes an old-fashioned leader who instinctively knows how to make his crew perform to the highest standards, and they seem to love him; respect him; and learn from him. You can tell the man just loves what hes doing and he instills that into his crew. We benefited. My name for JR: MAESTRO! Thanks for working as hard as you did to extend the beauty of our home.

July 17th Update: We are almost done with laying the flooring in our new home. I made the decision NOT to spend more money and cancel our moving truck. We did move into house without finished floors.The owner did contact me yesterday. He did apologize for the shipping delays. My issue was not with shipping but with communication. When I was looking for flooring and when I ordered flooring I stressed the importance of us having the flooring by a certain date. They chose not to call me and tell me the flooring was back ordered until August. That is my entire issue with the transaction. Because of the lack of phone calls from them (they only called me once which was on July 15th at 4:30 pm), I had to rearrange my move-in schedule, my business (I run my own company) had to be shut down for two additional days, and it added stress to an already stressful situation of closing on a house plus remodeling prior to move in. One phone call the minute, or even the day, they found out my order would not be in would have saved all of this stress and frustration.I was also informed that my review is nasty. The review I left is a play-by-play of events as they unfolded. If reality is nasty, than try living through the situation.July 15th Update: the flooring did not fully arrive until 5 pm. We can not install 1100 square feet of flooring in one day. I now have to cancel my moving truck and pay a penalty due to West Coast Floorings inability to be honest with what they could deliver on. DO NOT BUY FROM HEREWorst Experience Buying Flooring. Do NOT waste your time by buying from West Coast Flooring Center. My husband and I bought a home that needed to be remodeled before move in. We picked out flooring before our closing date with the intent to purchase the day we were given the keys to the home. On Tuesday, July 7th at 2 pm we closed. By 3 pm the flooring was ordered. We were told the flooring would be in on Saturday, July 11th. We called on the 10th to confirm what time we could pick up the flooring. Oops, they said. They had found out on the 8th our flooring was back ordered until mid-august. Not acceptable. I need flooring before I can move into my home. Our sales guy said he could make it happen to have a different flooring in by noon Tuesday, July 14th. We picked out different flooring. He called the company to ensure the flooring was in stock and said it would be in noon Tuesday.It is currently 12:24 on Tuesday, July 14th. I still dont have flooring and the company doesnt know where it is. My furniture is being moved in this Thursday at 8 am. At this point, it looks like without flooring on my cement slab.

West Coast flooring has a beautiful show room and great choices. We were particularly pleased with the information, insight, and requested guidance, David offered at the store. David had an uncanny talent for zeroing in on the needs we were communicating. We had a great experience at West Coast flooring Center.

First let me say I am very indecisive and also can not match well. I always appreciate when someone is patient with me and all the questions I may have even when I ask them numerous times. What I can say is I am so thankful that I came here to get my floors the outside sales representative was not as helpful, BUT when I went to the location and spoke with the owner John he was AMAZING. He took his time with me he went through the whole process with me but most importantly he helped me match my walls and floors perfectly! He’s kindness and patience with someone like me that can not match and does not have the vision, let me just say I felt so comfortable. I would highly recommend for anyone but especially someone that needs designer help to go speak with John. West Coast Flooring Center 5 stars! Thank you John!

I want to thank John and his company West Coast Flooring for making what was a nightmare into a dream. We had a flood downstairs in our home and our flooring was of course wrecked. Dealing with insurance was not the easiest. Once we had approval John and his team stepped in and made things so much easier for us. From the Knowledgeable sales team to the install. Everything they promised on they delivered. I hope I dont need to use them again under these circumstances again, but I know this If I ever need ANY type of flooring done I will be back to West Coast Flooring! I cant recommend them enough. Local, Affordable, Reliable and just plain Great!

Definitely 5 stars for John and his team! I just had beautiful vinyl flooring put through out my home and I could not be happier !! First of all John was so kind and patient as he helped me choose the color of flooring, not an easy task because I am extremely picky. I had shopped around and the pricing was excellent. Then he stayed in touch every step of the process as we went through scheduling, taking out the old floors and installing the new ones. The guys that did the job were super personable and respectful which made a very big job easier. I would highly recommend West Coast Flooring . Thanks John!

Our process throughout with West Coast was fantastic having our luxury vinyl plank flooring installed.First was Rob. He was gracious during Covid-19 to answer all of our questions and provide feedback. He was very responsive to calls and emails, and helped us so much.Next was Jim and crew for the demo and install. Jim communicated well throughout and was able to handle the demo of our difficult bamboo floors. For install, his team was efficient and very respectful of our space. They checked in with us for styling questions. We hadnt moved in quite yet, and the team did a phenomenal job on the install.And the owner, who I spoke with via phone, is very personable and said if we had any problems to let him know. Needless to say, no problems at all and VERY happy with our floor. Thank you West Coast!

Had a quote for laminate, tile and carpet. Also needed baseboards. The sales person doing the quote barley measured anything. Said $16,000 for 1185 square feet of laminate. Said they don’t do tile even though when I called for the quote I was told they do. This company is lazy. I’m glad it showed from the get go. I would never do business with this Company. Not sure how they will stay in business with their customer service and lack of effort.

I have been dealing with West Coast Flooring for well over 10 years They have great prices, but more importantly I am always impressed with their expertise, honesty and how they stand behind their products. Do Beware of this Business!!!! My family and I went there for flooring material, both hardwood and Tile. The reception lady helped us picked out the stuff and asked how big the job, (square feet), which we told her that about 2,000 square feet.She went back to her manager, (Ken) and came back with a very a special price, which we agreed. The Sale lady told us to order extra just in case it runs short at the end. So, we ordered what was suggested by the Sale lady. Just before completing the transaction and paying the bill, I asked about if there is left over could we return them? She said let her go and ask her manager and she left and a short while latter came back saying that the manager said, it is OK to return the product provided they will charge 20% restocking fee., which we agreed.But then there is problem when we try to return the left over item. The same manager came out as well as the other salesman, all said that there is NO Return Policy in their store. We explained to them that at the time of our order the Sales lady told us after asking the manager that It Is OK to return and on the receipt also said so. Later on the manager, (Ken) reluctantly agree to give us some of our refund less the restocking fee and some other hidden fees. We took back more than half of what ordered because there is some change in our plan. We were disappointed by their practice and deceptive way of luring naive customer. The order receipt was not clear and price was not right according what was written on it.By the way, it took me 2 trips to the office reminding the manager and 5 times of calling them about the refund. All through the refund process they have never once indicate what well be getting back instead the manager, (Ken) told us that, it is up to the warehouse whatever they want to give us back. The whole process of getting our refund took over 6 weeks before we see a small check in the mail. This was after I talked to the manager, (Ken) more than 5 times and each time he reassured me that the check is in the mail. But we did not see it and when we finally saw the check we were trouble by it.I called back to West Coast Flooring Center the day that I received the refund check and asked to talk to the manager. Ken, the manager told me that it is what you get and dont bother me and rudely hung up the phone. So, again do be careful of this business!!! 10-21-2016

Terrible experience. First off.. Rob was great. He came and did our measurement right away and I loved his recommendations. My problem was with the workers who made a HUGE mess with the grout. It was splattered on the walls and they didnt put our dishwasher back, did not put the bathroom sink back, and completely missed some spots. There were also tiles that are completely unlevel. Also.. after doing 2,300 sq ft of flooring there was literally 1 tile left over.... hard to believe. They said they would order more which we never received even after numerous calls.. they also filled the grout very low so if you walk on the tile barefoot it hurts your feet when stepping on the cracks.. very very unsatisfied especially after spending $14,000.

I have been using West Coast Flooring since 2003. The have great prices and service and awesome installers. I work for a property management company and they have replaced flooring for several of our owners and did a great job

The place that is ALWAYS having a Clearance Sale. Bought flooring from them, had their contractor install it in both of our homes, and had issues with the product AND installation in each. And do you think they warranty what they sell? Absolutely NOT. The owner came out, said he would contact the manufacturer and installer and get back with us, and never did. Even after leaving 2 messages. Will never use this place again, or recommend to any of our clients (yes, we do Real Estate)

Do not use this company. Too many other places that have proper ethics and customer service. Billed me for materials from over a year ago and made me find the errors in their incorrect billing which turned out to be a lesser amount. Stay away!

Our wood floor installation was terrible and unfinished. There are gaps/spacing that shouldn’t be there and they didn’t finish the edges properly in our bathroom against the walls. Upon installation he was scratching the wood and would just cover it with a correction marker which looks terrible! They sent their sub out to fix it again but just added caulking which made it look worse. The gaps are uneven and looks terrible. It squeaks and cracks due to air pockets. They told us this would go away but never did and gets worse over time. We have called and emailed but they never responded to our requests. We specifically asked to only use their employees for installers and they agreed but on installation day they sent a different company because they were over booked on installs. Would NOT recommend or use again. We are getting our floors redone soon using another company! Still amazed they never responded once to our concerns. This doesn’t even cover the fact they ordered the wrong carpets for two rooms which we kindly settled for so we didn’t have to wait weeks... whole separate issue... up front they said all the right things but clearly it was all an act to gain one time business!

My Time with Coast flooring was the worst we have ever had, they ordered wrong 3 times, before it got right. we felt sorry for the installers that came out 3 times. NEVER AGAIN WILL WE ORDER FROM THEM!!!!!!

The sales man was incredibly rude, we went in looking for kitchen tile and were made to feel so uncomfortable that we just left. the sales man gave an insultingly high estimate for hourly labor charges and refused to show us any of the tile we asked about.
