Little Midway features the famous macadamia nut ice cream served across the street at the dessert room. In fact the ice creams are made on site to be served at Bern’s across the way. Not a fan of macadamia nut? There are plenty of other flavors to try, as well as other desserts such as banana cheese pie. If you’re craving a quick, affordable, delectable treat then Little Midway is the place to go. Parking is valet in the garage but you can find free parking down the road around a little shopping plaza across from Fresh Kitchen. Just a short walk from there. Oh and did I mention you can purchase a pint of the ice cream to take home? Wonderful!

Yum yum bubble gum. I am a huge fan of the Harry Waugh Dessert Room so I was incredibly excited to try this place when it opened. I got ice cream, the banana cheese pie, and a Queen Midas cookie sandwich. The ice cream was amazing, super creamy and flavorful. The banana cheese pie was also delicious, just as good as the one at Berns. I was a little disappointed with the Queen Midas cookie sandwich. In my opinion there wasnt enough icing and it was a traditional buttercream icing, not a cream cheese icing which would have been better. I think if there would have been one cookie, not two, the icing ratio would have been sufficient. I will definitely be making another trip here again to try the other menu items.

SUCH A CUTE PLACE!! I fell in love at first sight! Little Midway is very aesthetically pleasuring, therefore its super Instagram-able! I love that its a local place and they have a great staff! I enjoyed my conversation with the nice gentlemen, who was very kind and helpful. I brought their cheesecake, peanut butter cup cake and a scoop of apple pie and macadamia nut ice cream.The cheesecake and cake were delicious, but I have to rave about this icecream! It is made fresh there in the shop and OMG it is life-changing. I take my ice cream very serious, and I can proudly say this is the best ice cream I have ever had. The apple pie tasted like Thanksgiving dinner, and I am not a fan of macadamia nut cookies, but I AM A FAN of this ice cream (which is now my new favorite). I highly suggest and recommend everyone giving this place a true! They have a sweet array of desserts for everyone!

Banana pies are the bomb. All the cupcakes and cookies and fresh and yummy. Staff are super nice too.

Heather and Michelle have this place in fantastic shape! Every single item on the menu is flawless. Taste and composition of each dessert is exactly as it should Be. I’m at the point now where I just let them surprise me, because I know everything on the menu will be fantastic!

A fun little dessert shop that shows the elegance and refinement of Bern’s Steakhouse with enough individual charm to have it stand out in a crowd. Sporting the famous macadamia nut ice cream (simply divine and really rich) and plenty of pastries to keep anyone happy and satisfied.

Fabulous place! I had the macadamia ice cream, which was delicious! My son also enjoyed his chocolate cupcake. Everyone was very friendly. We will be back!

Very disappointing!! I was excited to try this place because of its heritage but unfortunately it was a horrible experience. The desserts look beautiful, and thats it. Both the smores jar and carrot cake cookie were misrepresented. The carrot cake cookie taste was off and the smores was a big goo without any refinement. A good place to be seen and eat sugar, not a place to savor good quality sweets. Not worth the time or money for people with a refined palate.10/30/19 update - I changed my initial review after giving Little Midway a second chance. I met with the manager and pastry chef who were happy to answer my questions and explain their process in making the desserts. We all agreed that most likely they had an off day the day of my first visit ;-)

Not ice cream at all. Extremely over-priced. Should learn what a Banana Split is & if they put it on the menu it should at least resemble a Banana Split in some way & not be banana slices with chocolate custard & whipped cream. That is not a Banana Split.

Yes the Macadamia nut is good but he sure to try other flavors too! The apple pie and pineapple upside down cake were both amazing.

I write this as I lay comatose, stuffed to the rafters with various sugary and sweet treats that we gorged upon at Little Midway... and a bit terrified that sitting less than a stones throw from my sucrose-ravaged body is a refrigerator filled with many more delicious items calling me, taunting me. The only thing that worried me is the cookie sandwiches. There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of a cookie binge.We stopped by on a Tues evening after dinner preparing to grab something small, and ended up taking home half their menu (a bit hyperbolic as their menu is huge, but we did leave with a huge box of treats to take home). I ordered a milk chocolate milkshake, while wifey selected the retro sundae, which could have easily been split between the two of us. But could we end there? Only fools and masochists would stop their confectious adventure this early. We brought home a variety of cookie sandwiches, including oatmeal cream pie, milk + cookies, and queen midas. We sprinkled in some cake dough bites and other cookies for fun, because why the hell not?Justin and Matt provided the same level of service that you would expect from the Berns group: exceptional and attentive. They knew it was our first visit, and took time to go through the menu and provide ample samples without request.Terrible rhyming aside, would you expect anything less than five stars? From the incredible selection of delectable and inventive treats (including many classics from the Harry Waugh Dessert Room), to the festive interior, B+Gs Little Midway should be your go-to when needing to satiate your sweet tooth.
