My husband and I where looking for a place to have dinner after 10 hour drive we where starving so got on Google and look for places to eat Mexican around me, saw this place read the reviews and decide to give it a try. Drove to the place and I was like “they are not busy so we will get a table easily “ to my surprised they where just doing to go orders. Check the menu and one of the employees suggested to try the Enchiladas Rojas and my husband got Torta de carnitas and also got a Torta de Lengua. We where so hungry and the food was so good that I totally forgot to take pictures. I try to go back on Sunday but they where close, left Monday morning to get back home and was very sad that I did not get the chance to eat one more time the food from Acapulco Taqueria if I get the chance to go back to Tampa this is one of the places that I would love to go back.Food is delicious and the seasoning, hand made tortillas, the customer service everything is excellent

A great place for authentic Mexican food.The food was great, nicely cooked, well seasoned.Perfect to order a couple of plates for sharing if youre in a group and want to try a little of everything.The decour of the place isnt anything high end, but it feels inviting and genuine.

Absolutely amazing. Definitely deserves a 🥇Top Ranking spot in my Tacos Gone Loco TPA list! Ordered six different varieties of tacos: pollo, carne, lengua, cueritos, camarones y pescado (Mahi Mahi) 😋. First of all, the flavor in each of these tacos are profoundly unique. It took a little time to prep and prepare these babies with absolute good reason. Quality takes time and Acapulco definitely delivers on those expectations. I enjoyed the vibes of the establishment, as well. Had some unique shaped Cheetos on deckie, like the horneados and bolitos; tres leches and flan in the fridge. You guys deserved 7 stars! Ill definitely be back soon 👍🏾

Went here due to a friends recommendation.Food: I got 5 tacos (Shrimp, chorizo, barrier, chicken, and el pastor. Big portion s for a single taco, but I felt the flavors were a little muted. Also this was take out only.Service: Very friendly people and very welcoming and plenty of Mexican candies and food to purchase for later.Overall I would reccommend this place but will be going again to make sure that it wasnt my taste buds that were on the fritz today.

I absolutely love the food here! I’ve been a few times and it is consistently excellent. I’ve had huaraches and tacos. If you’ve never tried a huarache, give yourself a treat. I live in St Pete’s and I make it a point to stop by here every time I go to Tampa. Owners are very friendly, as well. Overall, it is always a great experience eating here. I keep telling them they should open in St Pete’s!

I’ve lived in this area for a LONG TIME and these are some of the best tacos I have EVER had!!! Not to mention the price... everything on the menu is more than affordable and is absolutely delicious!!! They have plenty of options on the tacos and if you aren’t in the mood for tacos you won’t have to look at the menu long before you find what you are in the mood for! I try to make this a weekly lunch spot if I can find the time. If you haven’t eaten here before make you try this place out ASAP!

Been coming here for years, and its been consistent all these years. Homemade hot sauce is amazing, the fajita (carne asada) tacos are my favorite, followed by pastor, carnitas, and chorizo. Lengua is good too! My husband and I always get a coconut popsicle while we wait because why not?! It’s so refreshing yet creamy. They had street corn with all the fixins’ (which was new since I’ve come back from living in Cali), and would definitely order it again.The two main guys that work are always courteous and kind. The service is always great, never mess up an order or forget anything- just spot on. Definitely best tacos hands down, if you’re looking to get tanked on margaritas and tequila shots, go elsewhere, you come here for their food, legit Mexican street tacos. Their tortillas are homemade for the sopas, however I stick to the tacos because I just can’t get enough of them!

I visited Acapulco on a Saturday, and was extremely impressed. Having lived somewhere without quality Mexican food for the past several years, Acapulco had what I needed. I sat at the bar and was quickly asked if I had any questions about the menu, and was given some recommendations.I ordered the huaraches ($9) with al pastor (pork, pineapple, and chili) and watched as my order was being made shortly after ordering. When I received the food, I was very happy that these were not small huaraches. They are extremely delicious and very filling.I also ordered the horchata, which I think is available only on weekends. It was to die for and complimented the food very well, as it was just sweet enough with the right amount of cinnamon.I have already gone back to Acapulco once more, and will definitely go again the next time Im in town.

The huaracha is good. The pastor lacked flavor (someone said this place was better than Lolis). The pork skin is not crispy so I was turned off by the fatty texture. I grabbed togo though so it is possible the steam in the box caused the issue.

I just moved to Tampa and have been searching for a good taco place and this is definitely the best yet! It’s super authentic - the tacos and flautas were delicious!! They have horchata and aguas frescas. It’s located inside a store but don’t let that deter you from coming in. The people are also very nice here.

Small place and great selection of tacos meats and since in the store they have a butcher you know fresh meats and great selection of Mexican sodas. The red and green salsas are great the green salsa its good and not too hot with a lime hint and the red salsa has good flavor and has a good kick. Totally recommend this place if your looking for great authentic Mexican tacos.

The place looks like its undergoing remodeling, but the lack of atmosphere doesnt even matter because the food is incredible. I loved that I got to taste sweetbreads for the first time (loved them). Everything was tasty and the staff was very friendly. You can see into the kitchen as well, theres bar seating right in front of it. Great experience.

What happened guys??!! This place used to be run by Mexican mamas cooking right in front of you. The pace was sold some time ago and the mamas disappeared shortly after. The food was still ok though. I hadn’t been back there is a while and ordered some takeout a couple of days ago since I was nearby. What a disappointment to say the least. My wife wanted no rice and more beans with her fajitas and got the opposite. Ok, misunderstanding. I ordered 4 tacos: al pastor (barely ok-ish), 2 chorizo (less than average and undercooked), buche or sweetbread (tasteless and undercooked). No mas amigos. That place has lost more than one customer that day. So sad because I used to love that place.

This is the place!! Like said best Tacos in town. Without a doubt the real taste of Mexico. Would be even hard to beat in Mexico its self. And i have been to a lot of Mexican towns. Five Stars But at times the noise levels can be loud, Mostly from the open dish washer and kitchen.

LOVE the tacos! Very authentic the little hole in the wall place. Just come in & sit down, girl takes your order and food comes out quick. You have to grab your drink from the cooler so if your too high maintenance dont come here. Its almost like a little convenient store/ grocery / food truck in a building. But my goodness the tacos are great!

They do a very good job here pumping out really good food. I dont always eat in, more often I grab and go. Steak huaraches highly recommended.

One of my favorite places to enjoy authentic Mexican food. The owner Xavier is always welcoming and friendly and the amazing staff always has a smile. This really makes me feel happy enjoying delicious food a long with people that make me feel at home. Everything is delicious.. I recommend to everyone.

The only authentic Mexican restaurant in Tampa. The food is basic Mexican fare and it is done very well. The soups and specials are always very good. The taco selection is outstanding and the accompanying condiments, lime, cilantro and onion, are a great addition. There is a good selection of typical Mexican soda like Jarritos, and other beverages. The service is friendly although the restaurant quickly gets overwhelmed and things can slow down during busy hours. I prefer to eat here over all the other Tex-Mex places.

Tacos and tamales taste very fresh, staff was super nice. You get a lot of shredded chicken in the tamale. If they updated their decor I think we might have a winner! Definitely coming back.

Best tacos I’ve ever had. I came here on our way back to Orlando and was pleasantly surprised. The servers and all staff there were very nice. I had the chicken and chipotle taco and the steak taco and both were incredible. It’s so rare to find authentic Mexican food anywhere, and this is the real deal. Talk about the real deal! Sometimes less is more. They kept it authentic, only adding onions and cilantro to the tacos. They bring out lime wedges, mild sauce and a pretty spicy sauce. You can grab whatever you want to drink from the store (with the exception of alcoholic beverages). The meat was cooked very well.Tip: ask for 2 tortillas per taco. That way they do not fall apart. I am going back today for dinner, Delicious!!!

This place serves pretty good mexican food. Its getting 3 stars from me, because it is a little pricey for what you get. Ive only had 1 salsa from here and its extremely spicy!
