Super Cool Spot to hang out. Not just beer … coffee, wine & food. The beer is awesome… I had the hazy IPA and it was impressive. I also bought a couple 4 packs to go. Nice open seating inside and a nice patio too. Plenty of parking. Well worth the experience.

Stopped by ‘Kings State’- its a renovated garage ( and yes you would still think so ) so pass slowly ..Cool place to chill .. wanted to try the turkey sandwich, but, they were out. However, I inquired if it’s deli meat or the real gobble gobble and was inform it’s the gobble.. so i got the ‘515 Ruben’..loved the toasted marble Rye.. meat to cheese ratio 65/35 not to bad .. wasn’t over powered with Kraut.. thinly sliced meat and really not that salty. As a side, the Arugula salad w/ mozzarella .. the light dressing went well with the peppery taste from the arugula and tomatoes .. as a treat, I also tried the Red wine brownie ( FYI- all alcohol is cooked out 😊) however, this would pair well on its own with nice burgundy wine or cherry/plum merlot .. the essence of the wine flavor is prevalent, but, it is rich with chocolate and very moist .. open air seating inside and spacious outside seating . .. will go back again ..

Lovely interior and exterior. Everyone is so helpful and kind. Not at all like many other coffee shops where they expect you to know everything before you get there. Yet, their quality is unmatched. Everything fresh, everything made in house. They have many hidden gems of Florida throughout their restaurant including a beer tap back splash flooring from the original publix. Incredible attention to detail and it shows they are proud of their city and state. I love coming here and bringing my friends to one of the best coffee shops in the state.Also creative and talented people working here.

The brews here are very tasty. Its an old gas station converted into a café that sells Brews. The staff is extremely friendly. Not much of a food menu in the evenings but I guess that is by design. The whole concept of a place that brews beer and roasts coffee is new. This place can be your go to coffee shop in the morning and your go to drinking joint in the evening.

Undoubtedly the best coffee and friendliest staff around. Incredible food and wine as well; don’t sleep on the breakfast sandwiches, savory grits, or horseradish potato salad (have yet to experience anything other than excellent food, though, you can’t go wrong!) Consistently amazed at the speed this team works — even on busy days with a line to the door, I’ve gotten my food in under 5min. Seems too good to be true, but here we are. Love you, King State!

Let me tell you about King State: the best caramel oat milk latte in town, scrumptious pesto, savory garlic knots! The service is always very friendly, and often, depending on who’s taking my order, they are flexible with my dietary needs. A bit more variety for gluten sensitivity would be appreciated! Very rarely does a place live up to high expectations. King state did exactly that. I’ve wanted to make the trip here for at least 2 years. Living in Alabama makes it difficult. We visited twice and every aspect was flawless. The food is great. The hospitality is great. The coffee is great. The space is great. The beer is great. Highlights for me were the loaded grits and the espresso. Very sweet and juiced. Also the texture on the cortado was LIGHTS OUT. Really cannot wait to come back. YUH.

Weve lived here 2 years and cant believe we just discovered this place. The surrounding area is a tad sketchy but this entire shop, its vibe, and coffee make up for it. I love the building because it used to be an old gas station in the 50s. The outdoor seating area is adorable and the coffee shop/brewery as a whole has a retro feel that feels welcoming. They serve coffee, beer, wine, and food. Weve tried the hot and iced coffee, breakfast sandwich, biscuits and gravy and everything was delicious. Wish they had more sizes for the hot coffee but maybe in the future. We drive out of our way to come here. Everyone has great attitudes, theyre kind to all, and are always jamming great music. I dance in line sometimes.

This place is the real deal. Coffee is incredible—high quality, smooth, balanced. We buy beans there nearly every week. I even ship beans to my mom! Have never had a bad meal there. Their breakfast sandwich is especially awesome; get it on a potato roll. Great vibes. Everyone’s extremely friendly, courteous, and down to earth. Nice place to get some work done as well. King State has been a lifesaver since I moved from DC where local coffee ships were in abundance. This place is by far the best coffee shop in Tampa.

A new brewery! I love finding new breweries. King State is a funky (I know, its overused) ex-gas station on Floribraska next to I-275 with indoor and outdoor seating. On a cool late September Wednesday (81F) I stopped by to enjoy a few cool brews. They also have numerous coffee & not coffee drinks and sandwiches and pastries on offer. Only complaint is the music was too loud for a concrete building.Very open inside, very friendly people. Definitely worth stopping in.

I had the garlic knots, and my husband had pulled pork and potato salad. The place was clean. The music was chill. We will definitely be regulars at this spot.

As someone who visits new coffee shops all the time, this spot is really one of a kind. Its so hard to find a third wave coffee shop that has a nice minimalist vibe but also SO MUCH personality. The vibe is just perfect. My espresso was really bright and tasty. The staff was really friendly and all seemed to be having a great time. 🙏

My friend and I are visiting and wanted good coffee; this place had the reviews, and photos of amazing coffee. The reviews must be for the food or beer, because the coffee was appallingly bad. We paid $12 for a luke warm yet burned latte and weak yet bitter cold brew… weird combos to mess up on… All we could do was laugh off how bad it was… the staff was nice though.

I never knew you could put strawberries on a sandwich but the King State went and did it and rocked my world. They’re doing it right here; no stone left unturned. Coffee is perfect. Beer is amazing. Really rad spot. Super friendly employees and an AMAZING seasonal beer (this was near Christmas). My friends loved the food (unique flavours, fresh and super delish). The cinnamon buns are amazing as well. If you happen to be able to grab a spot at the orange couch, its comfy af! A must visit.

This was my first time in. I went with the BBQ pork sandwich with a side of potato salad and the current pineapple cider on tap. Everything came out fresh well plated. The service was great and attentive. Everything felt very clean and put together. I felt safe in the area. I found out they roast their own coffee so I got one for the road. They are a cashless bar so just make sure to have a card when you visit.

This joint is the undisputed champ in the Bay Area. Other than the occasional bad batch of drip their coffee is the most consistent in quality. I thank the coffee gods for their existence every time I’m in.

Really lovely latte which was served in a beautiful glass cup. The vegan bread rolls were pretty dry and nothing special, but it was nice that they were accompanied by beet hummus. Too, the music was too loud and the place wasn’t really clean itself. But, I would come back as the ambience is very chill and friendly.

After a long wait here it is! What an amazing atmosphere! This converted garage is the perfect place for some beer or a nice cup of coffee. The bar is poured concrete and against the Florida heat is welcomed. The owner are super welcoming and Aric the Brew master is one of the best. Cheers 🍺🍺🍺🍺

I came all the way from Philadelphia, PA for this place and it did not disappoint! We have a lot of breweries and third wave coffee shops in Philly, King State is second to none. The lunch was excellent, service warm and inviting, and the coffee was some of the best shots I’ve had pulled for me. Couldn’t recommend more, we will definitely be back on our way out of town.

The coffee really wasnt all that good. I had a latte which was a bit weak and then a regular brewed coffee which wasnt very good.The ambiance was nice and there are multiple fans outside which kept it nice and cool.I really enjoyed the atmosphere.The girl that worked there didnt seem very accommodating, Im not sure why as I left a tip on both orders. Maybe she was having a bad day. We all have those so not a big deal. The guy was really nice.My 3 star rating reflects the coffee. It wasnt anything special. I didnt try the beer or any of the food.

The cold brew tastes like it was made with bad water and it was weak. They also discriminate if you don’t wear a mask...in a free country. They told a guy to go outside because he had a medical condition. Sounds communist to me. Places like this are a dime a dozen so might as well spend your dimes somewhere better worth your money in times like this.

I absolutely love this place! Extremely good atmosphere, fantastic coffee, delicious beer, and kind & friendly staff! A few other things to note would be the soap in the bathroom is non-liquid and leaves your hands fresh, clean, and moisturized. Another big thing to note is they truly care about their customers, so much so they invest in quality toilet paper! I highly recommend the visit. The only negative comment I have is at the time of this review they do not have wi-fi.

You go to a place for the experience not the coffee or whatever. I dont mind paying over $5 for a latte but in a whisky glass that I have in my own kitchen? My table was full of stuff from the previous customer for 30 minutes until I had to ask to have it removed. Inside the music was SOOO loud that I could not communicate with someobe accross the table without raising my voice. Parking lot is a bad shape and my front tire hit a huge pot hole. How hard is it to put a bag of gravel or whatever?Bathroom lighting was really bad too!! You could not pay me to go back there!!!

They did it right here. The interior space has a very trendy design but still has a very welcoming and inviting atmosphere. Decent seating up at the bar top and plenty of tables and table style seating in the tasting room. They not only brew their own craft beer but also coffee a unique concept in Tampa. Their bottle beer selection is good as well.I must say I think plenty of people will really find the ambiance and vibe here a real draw.

But, as someone who lived in North Carolina for eleven years and has been searching the Tampa Bay Area for 2.5, I can tell you their grits are the FLUFFIEST IN TOWN. Omg. Get them.
