Amazing experience and customer service, even before we came. Contacted via Facebook because I wanted to attend tonight with my wife, but there was only one spot left. They gladly accommodated us. On the way we encountered extra traffic due to rain, causing us to arrive minutes late, and they still received us. The experience itself is amazing. Very interesting and entertaining. And very well priced I might add. Can’t wait to pickup the finished product tomorrow. Definitely 5 stars and will do again soon for sure.

This is such a cool and fun experience. They had scents of all sorts you can pick from to mix and match. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable on scents on what mixes well and what clashes. Everyone was so friendly and I got to bring my dogs in which was fun! I only give 3 stars though because the price point is a bit high per candle. And when I got my candle, the scent of it was very light and I couldn’t really smell it. The instructions say to wait 14 days to burn it, so that’s what I did and the scent was very weak and didn’t travel too far when I burned it. I paid about $45 for 2 candles that I can hardly smell. To me it wasn’t worth it. The experience itself was fun but I’m not sure I’d go back considering the price point and value.

My partner and I went to the movies and decided to check this place out since we had a few hours to waste. This was a wonderful and fun experience. The fact that you smell everything and mix scents is excellent! It made me feel like a scientist. What made this experience were the workers. They were helpful and had great conversations; it was enjoyable. They were so kind and super helpful. The best part was when we were all showing each other photos of our pets!

Super amazing staff! They were extremely helpful in picking out scents in the candle making process. Their social distancing set up is on point, as well as COVID-19 regulations for mask wearing, cleaning and sanitizing. It was a fun and relaxing experience. Must try!

Purchased a candle that smelled incredible at their pop up in the village. The look of the candle is gorgeous, but it burned quicker than any other candle I’ve owned, especially for the high price point. However I’ll give it another chance and would love to try the make your own candle experience.

Be prepared to wear a mask the full time. Strict mask policy put a damper on the experience. Its especially awkward because you need to be able to smell the candle scents. At this point, anyone who wants a vaccine could have had one. No need to continue the mask policy.Update 6/7/21 - This response serves to reinforce the two star rating. “Incredible Experience!!!”-Words cannot describe how enjoyable this was for my boyfriend and I on his birthday. He was bragging about coming for so long....the beautiful ladies Welcomed us all with a smile and wonderful attitude through out. Amanda was a sweetheart and took her time with walking us through our first candle pour. If you are looking for a beautiful and relaxing environment and experience for date night, girls night, or just a fun afternoon/night on the town...please come see them! I Even met the owner and she was a delight. I am so excited for the wax molds we made together. I PROMISE! you won’t regret it ❤️

This is one of my favorite places in Tampa! I have visited both pre-pandemic and recently. Although the pre-pandemic experience is better because of the scent wall, that is no reason to skip out on this gem! This place deserves all the love and business possible.The big difference in the experience because of the pandemic is that you don’t get to start off your visit smelling every single scent along the wall. Instead, you’ll select about 10 different scents at the counter and the person helping you will waft the scents so that you can smell them through your mask.Don’t worry about not being able to smell through your mask. If you have a hard time for any reason, it’s likely because the actual scent your trying to smell is naturally very light. If you really are struggling to smell things though, Candle Pour will provide a thinner mask for you to change into. How thoughtful and convenient!The experience itself of selecting scents is really fun and interesting. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and helpful. They literally help you curate your ideal scent and will introduce you to scents you would have never thought to try out.Depending on when you go, you can either pick up your candle same day a few hours later or the next day. The candles are packaged for you in a super cute bag with handy usage instruction. If you’re visiting from out of town like I am, they can ship your candle to you for a very reasonable price! I came in prepared to only make a candle for a family member as a gift and ended up doing that, plus making myself one that will be shipped across the country.The best part is that they keep a log of your previous candles so you can easily recreate one if needed. Then you can pick it up or have it shipped to you. I was obsessed with the candle I made the first time (pre-pandemic) and am very excited to receive a duplicate via mail!Did I mention they even have flameless options like sprays and reed diffusers?! There is an option for everyone, even non-candle people (but who doesn’t like a candle).Highly recommend this place and will be replacing my beloved candle every time it runs out. WOW! What an amazing concept, first of all. I had heard of The Candle Pour, but had never been. Last night we had a girls night out and finally went! It was AMAZING! You walk in and are greeted with an amazing aroma of scents. Then you are greeted and someone explains the process to you. They have seasonal scents on one wall and year-round scents on the other. You fill out a fun sheet of what flavors you like best! Then you sit down, and the magic begins. Honestly I thought it would be sensory overload with all of the smells, but truth be told, it was actually very relaxing. Once you pick the perfect combo of scents, you then pour them into your choice of candle holder & stir! They take about an hour or so to dry & then you go pick it up! The atmosphere is amazingly chill and everyone is so nice. Its a little smaller than I thought but I already want to go back!! I made a holiday scent last night: white Christmas, myrrh, cranberry & Basalm Fir... AMAZING! Ive been burning it all morning. OH! Best part ... They are soy candles and are so much better!!

Great experience and staff is awesome! I think requiring masks makes it really difficult to smell the scents and takes away from the experience though. Other than the mandatory masks and not being allowed to remove my mask to drink water while making my candle - it was a great time!

Wonderful experience! Everyone was very welcoming and friendly. We just walked in and were assisted immediately. The scent picking and mixing was really fun. I think the pricing was fair as well since you’re paying for the experience and get to go home with a candle! Overall, a great date/hangout idea!

I really liked the concept of this and the scents smelled wonderful during the class. I also felt the staff was wonderful. My only constructive criticism is that the end product doesnt give off a lot of smell for the price. Perhaps more fragrance needs to be added to improve the end product? I just thought it best to share this info so that you could improve the product and have more success going forward. Aside from this, I really enjoyed the experience of it.

We just celebrated my birthday at the candle pour it was a great atmosphere for everyone !! And all of my friends made the candles and handed them over for my birthday 🤭😉 it’s a must check out for a group event ! Of Course we bar hopped afterwards ……

I have been to the candle pour several times. It is such a fun experience every single time wether it’s for a girls night or date night. The quality of the candle is amazing. They burn forever and smell up my entire home. The owners could not be any nicer. My husband and I had a date night here right before we moved out of state and the owner included a hand written note wishing us good luck and a room spray to bring with us. We will defiantly be coming here every time we come back to Tampa to visit family.

Wow!!! The experience at The Candle Pour was phenomenal. Great place for friends to get together, first date, celebration, etc. We had such a wonderful time. They explained the process to us and let us smell the different scents available. They have something for everyone which is really nice. I went with a more earthy tone while my friend went with a more floral scent. The staff was so great and helped explain how to tone down some scents and how to bring more of what we were looking for out. You can pick from several different sizes and they have other products available. Once your candle is done there is a processing hour. But it is well worth the wait! I now have the perfect blend of mint and earth and summer rain and it fits me! The 8 oz candle pictured here cost $25 to make.

What a fabulous experience! The Candle Pour has gone above and beyond to keep the facility clean and safe for everyone while still providing and amazing custom candle experience! Loved, loved, loved the time we spent there and still enjoying the candle and room spray we made! Can’t wait to go back!

This was my second visit to The Candle Pour and its a fun experience, not only making candles but while you wait for them to solidify, Hyde Park Village has wonderful places to eat and a great area to walk around.

Celebrated my birthday at The Candle Pour. The entire experience was fantastic. We loved being able to select our favorite scents to create the perfect candles for our home. The Candle Pour shop is gorgeous and I love the packaging design. The entire staff was so nice and helpful! Can’t wait to go back in the Fall to create a fall inspired candle. 10/10 would recommend, especially for a date night or special occasion.

I went in with a group. One of the associates that was not the associate who was helping me was rude she demanded I change my mask. I was not able to fully smell the scents I wanted.And was expected to smell the scents through my mask. They are overly caustious with covid.I purchased two candles and neither one of them have any scent to them. Very disappointing for the price. *update* There is no excuse for bad service and subpar products.

I came during the pandemic and it was an awkward and unenjoyable experience. The woman working wouldnt let us touch any of the scent unless we were committed to using them. I was under the impression that she owned it or was the manager. The younger associate that was working was much kinder and more relaxed but, working the opposite side of the counter from where I was sitting. I was trying to narrow my decision down and was pretty over the whole experience because the woman I was working with made it just nearly impossible. Had I not been there in a group, I would have left without purchasing. Had my $60 candle lasted more than 4 uses, I wouldnt have bothered to write a review including how much I didnt enjoy my experience on site but, the wick broke and I had to dig out nearly a third of the wax to make it usable. What a waste. Never again.Ill edit to say after the Candle Pours response that iI understand that it must be difficult in your position but, there is a balance. Im a Covid cautious individual and Im telling you that it was too much. At least let me put on gloves, with a layer of lysol wipes to narrow down the choice from less than 6 bottles. It was a very uncomfortable experience for me.

My bridesmaids took me here as part of my bachelorette party and I loved it so much! Probably one of the best experiences I’ve ever had. I love candles, so being able to make my own with people I love made me so happy! The staff were nice and friendly. the scents you have to pick from from your candle are incredible. I have never made my own candles,so i was ready to have fun. They have scents on shelves to smell as for a unique smell for your candle. We spent a good 10 minutes smelling the scents and then we sat down to experience this fun! The place was clean and the helpers were very kind. I will go back. Perfect for parties and just fun.

I enjoyed my candle making experience at The Candle Pour... However, I was a little claustrophobic. This candle studio is on the smaller side (maybe 600 sq ft) and at one point I think there were 15-20 people in the studio at once. It was difficult to smell all of the scents due to the large crowd and I did feel overwhelmed at times... Overall, the staff was friendly and the layout was welcoming with a minimalistic aesthetic, which I can appreciate! I will be returning and hopefully it will be a more intimate experience!

Loved every part of our experiences! We’ve created candles in-store and online (we’re from out of town). In-store was Pre-COVID and amazing! Soooo many fragrances to choose from and they’re employees (we dealt with several) were personable and so helpful in recommending good scent combos, in helping us find alternatives that might work well/better together and were so patient (we had several kids with us who wanted to try it all)! Since then we’ve made and ordered half a dozen seasonal candles online. They were packaged well and shipped quickly, each time arriving totally intact and smelling delicious! We’ve even made reed diffusers! Next I’m going to try the oil blends to use in my own diffuser! My kids LOVE this place and will be getting gift cards in their stockings!I have read that they closed temporarily and/or have taken some precautions in response to COVID and some people have felt it’s lessened the experience. I’ll just say I know this to be a family-owned business and I appreciate anyone who would compromise their own business for the sake of the community’s well-being. I would highly recommend the online option or gift card route for anyone who isn’t comfy with the in-store experience right now.This is a one-of-a-kind experience and a slam-dunk gift idea for candle/scent lovers in your life! And don’t forget the guys- with scents like “Man Cave”, “Bacon” and “Tobacco” everyone will love these!

This place is great! I liked it because it was different and the owners were both very helpful! We sat down & were helped every step of the way. I ended up getting an awesome candle & an fragrance spray, which I must say is long lasting after applying only 1 spritz. We felt very welcomed and were also offered drinks! We will be returning. It kills me to only give them a two star review as this is a nice, local business right in Hyde Park. I’ve gone twice and wanted to make sure of my review prior to posting.Prior to COVID, I haven’t had the opportunity yet to create a candle so not sure how it was before, but based on past reviews it seems to have been a lot better of an experience. I’ll be honest, I received a half baked experience both times I visited.Let’s first start that now they keep their doors locked even during business hours and when they have customers in the shop creating candles. I’m not a fire safety expert however, I do think doing that is very dangerous in case there is a fire. I know some stores even have signage that states “doors must remain unlocked during occupancy.” Not sure what promoted them to think this was a good idea especially a candle store when there is fire and melting of wax involved...Another reason I felt my experience was half baked is that they require you to wear mask the ENTIRE TIME you are there. Not like at restaurants where you can remove your mask once you are seated. I’ll be honest, smelling multiple oils through a mask is not a great time and in fact, it was very hard for me to smell certain oils. I’ll be quite blunt here and say, that smelling and creating your own scent is 99% of the experience and if this management doesn’t feel comfortable having customers remove their masks, then they should re-evaluate their current operating model and perhaps move to a DIY kit.Speaking of smelling scents and oils, they have no coffee beans to clear your noise. The lady working told us to smell our skin...not sure if that helps or she was just being smart with me. Also, if you have to use the restroom or wash your hands good luck! Their restrooms are currently closed which is a HUGE turn-away for me. Instead the closet restrooms are across the street. They should have a professional cleaning staff come in daily and clean the restrooms. The last time I was in there I got some oil on my fingers and had to just deal with it.If you’re still reading this I appreciate you. My next issue is that they don’t allow you to drink drinks inside. I read prior that you could BYOB which would make for a fun night but that isn’t the case anymore. So that expensive latte you just got from Buddy Brew will be watered down since you can’t drink that or water or anything inside. After all who needs to drink liquid, it’s only Florida and pretty much summer year round. My sister made a valid point that if they would keep the doors unloocked people could walk outside to drink but instead unlocking the doors for someone seemed like it was to much of an inconvenience for the staff.My last few points I promise. There are some cute aprons that are hung up on the wall. Not sure if those are for display or if people could wear them while making their candles? I think it would be nice and add to the experience if people could wear those. If the owners are worried about COVID, lysol them down after each use then was them at the EOD.What makes an experience is also the people. The first time I went our lady helping us was for a better term lackluster. We asked her if there was descriptions of the scents ( for example, what does snowy day smell like?) and we also asked her if there are popular scent combos. She looked at us like we were nuts for asking and had 0 personality. Meanwhile, the party next us was laughing away and having a great time with the guy they had. My second time around we had a different lady, but still she seemed to just there and not really into entertaining. My recomendation is that they have a list of scent descriptions and popular combinations for people who have no idea where to start since their list if very long.All in all, I sadly wouldn’t recommend coming here at this time. You pay for a half baked experience at full price. I will say that they do state their COVID policies on the website and while booking but still the experience fell short for myself and my party,

The Candle Pour is a must visit for anyone touring around the Tampa area. They have walls of different scents and in-person guides to help you make the perfect blend. If you plan on spending the day in Hyde Park Village, start with The Candle Pour and your creation can be ready by the time you leave. Bryan made our candle making easy and fun! Highly recommend.

This was really fun! It’s a perfect idea for a date or something to do with friends! There’s many scents to chose from and the finished product is nice and clean. It’s perfect to do before lunch or dinner, or if you want to do a little shopping, because it takes 2 hours for the candle to set.

Great spot for a girls night or any occasion! The staff went above and beyond to make our visit one to remember! Personally I’m not a big candle fan and assumed it would be an overpriced gimmicky thing and was really impressed by the experience. They allow you to make your own scent choices and then with their expertise give feedback and advice to help create an exceptionally pleasing candle scent! BYOB was the icing on the cake! Highly recommend!!

This is an excellent activity to do. My team mates and I went in and made candles. Its a nice process with the personal touch of the employees testing your candle scents to make sure what youre making will go together well. Highly recommended.

This place was fun and the staff was amazing. You get to custom build your own scents for candles. You can choose to make candles, wax melts, linen sprays and oil difusers. Everything ranges in price from$15 to $55 dollars.

So much fun! We stopped in while we were killing some time before heading back to the airport to go home. The owner and staff were super helpful and friendly. They helped my husband and I narrow down the scents that we liked for two very different smelling candles which we both love. It took about 2 hours from start to completion of the candle, so keep that in mind if you go there to make one. My biggest regret is not making more candles in the scent I made because I love it so much!
