We recently photographed a wedding at the Oxford Exchange and we had an amazing experience with the venue and their staff. The venue is STUNNING for weddings, there are sooo many beautiful locations within the venue for amazing wedding portraits. The look and feel of the Oxford Exchange is very unique and exquisite. We added some photos to the review and you can see more on our website. The staff at the Oxford Exchange was very professional and friendly. If you are looking for a wedding venue in the downtown area, I definitely recommend the Oxford Exchange!!! Cant wait to be back! :) Thank you Oxford Exchange for the great experience as a fellow wedding vendor in Tampa. xoxo
I have heard a lot about OE and decided to check it out. Planned for a Girls Sunday Brunch. Had a wonderful experience, starting from making the reservations, Seating, Ambiance, the Food and the waitstaff…. all Nicely Done. Everything that we ordered was amazing, especially the French Toast. Will definitely go back again. Maybe for High Tea.
This place offers great service and atmosphere. Reservation is recommended as always busy here. The coffee is from Buddy Brew and tea is TeBella, which they both are right by the entrance of the restaurant. This is the first time I have french toast without egg soaked in bread, it is unique but I still like the non french way? The breakfast potatoes are thinly sliced, but they are fried, a bit too greasy for me. The coffee is great, tea is amazing. They do offer weekend free parking down the block.
The food and atmosphere is always excellent!! We absolutely love their brunch. Anytime family is in town or friends have a special occasion, we tend to treat them to brunch at Oxford Exchange. Please make sure to make a reservation beforehand or you wont be seated. Afterwards, we tend to visit University of Tampas gorgeous campus and take a stroll at the Riverwalk, which is all in walking distance. This place never disappoints.
As soon as you walk in you can feel how special your experience is going to be.From having champagne before our meal to our wonderful waitress Sarah, it was just lovely. The food in itself was beautifully prepared and very tasty.I had the blackened salmon and it had just the right amount of spices and cooked perfectly without being overcooked.Highly recommend spending time At the Oxford exchange with family, friends, or even your coworkers.
First time here and let me tell you something, YOU MUST COME here, normally you either get a great experience or great food but here you get both . The place will take you out of time and send you somewhere far, service is amazing and professional while the food is super healthy and the taste is to die for . You have to have a reservation but even if you don’t get it still come and walk around . Prices are very reasonable and too many things to check around .
I had a great breakfast experience here, my server was on point (thk God). I highly recommend the French toast, and the philly steak sandwich, its a pleasant delight. The restaurant has changed its menu to better options, as a result this place was filled to capacity on a Monday between 11 & 12 am. The coffee was delightful as I was able to custom it to my liking. The prices are high, but the new menu offers better options than before.
Hands-down one of the top spots I frequently go back to when I’m in town from Atlanta. I always bring my friends down from Atlanta who are visiting to the Oxford Exchange if nothing else. The building and decor are immaculate and the vibe is completely chill. Sitting out in the courtyard with the sunlight for brunch and having some of the delicious Buddy Brew coffee it’s just something that can’t be emulated anywhere else. Do yourself a favor if you’re able to stop taking selfie‘s and pictures of the place and just put your phone down to take it all in.
I can see the OE being one of our local hang outs, reminds me so much of home...England... The cocktails were delightful... food was hit or miss... particularly the fruit. The first bowl of fruit they brought out old and looked unappetizing. It was replaced however that fruit had been cut up prematurely. I had the salmon bagel, it was decent. We were only here for brunch. Atmosphere was attractive, scenery followed closely. The rest of our table ate some of the food, like it said it was definitely decent. We’ll be back though, probably ask for a recommendation when ordering.
I would describe Oxford Exchange as trendy, local businesses under one roofWhat you should know:I. PARKINGOE is located right by the University of Tampa. Paid Parking is very limited right behind the building, but the first two hours are free.II. QUALITYThe 2 drinks we ordered were made well. The omelette and breakfast tacos were delicious too. It was a nice detail that the jelly on the rye bread was fresh and local.III. SERVICENo complaints.IV. CAPACITYWe went on a Friday without a reservation. The wait was about 30 minutes, but since there was a store, coffee shop, and bookstore within the building, we were occupied until they could seat us.
Was looking for a place for lunch and chose here. Didn’t even know what to expect but I was blown out of the water with how incredible this place is! The shop is so cute, the food was amazing and worth every penny, the champagne bar couldn’t have been cuter. Our server Alex was so sweet and knowledgeable about the menu and making recommendations, especially with vegetarian-friendly options. I could spend hours here between dining, drinking, and shopping. This place is truly a gem.
We went for the breakfast at Oxford Exchange for the Saturday Brunch. We had a prior reservation so we got the table when we went there. For the drink we ordered Masala Chai and Thunderbolt Darjeeling. For side plate we ordered Fried Avocado Wedges and for brunch we ordered French Toast and Omelette. The service at the restaurant was amazing and was quick and fast. We loved our food and it was an amazing Saturday Brunch. The food was delicious. We loved the decor of the restaurant and the decorations of it. Kudos to the Chef for the amazing food as whatever we ordered it was spot on. The restaurant has lot of books and phone covers too outside it so everyone can enjoy them too. So whenever you guys decide to visit please try to make a prior reservation as without reservation you may have to wait longer.
Visited the place a couple of times and really enjoyed our time there. I was there for a breakfast date with the husband and a girls brunch. Both times received we received excellent service and the food was delicious. Great atmosphere and great staff. Already planning on going back.Update: Went back a third time with a different friend for breakfast and had the same great experience. Everyone I’ve taken there has had only positive things to say.
What a hidden gem! We were at Tampa General for a MD appointment and were looking to find a nice place for breakfast and stumbled across the Oxford Exchange. Besides the excellent food, we had a great server (I wish I remembered her name but shes originally from New Jersey) that kept our coffee filled and had a wonderful personality. The atmosphere of this place is phenomenal and we will return!
This place is truly a gem. The combination of books, a champagne bar, indoor eatery with an outdoor feeling is unparalleled! This is a great place to do work, socialize, get a up of coffee or tea or do all of things I just mentioned at the same time!Service was solid here too. I also appreciated the parking lot across the street ($10 at the time I wrote this).
Oxford Exchange has been on my list of places to visit for a while and I am glad I finally had the chance! We came for afternoon brunch on a Saturday, and it was busy but we had already made reservations. There was still a short wait, but there are places to wait and browse or grab a drink from the champagne bar. The Brussels sprouts, burger, and sweet potato fries that I had were all delicious. I guess next time I’ll have to check out their Library in St. Pete!
A very nice independent bookstore. However, Oxford Exchange is much more than a bookstore. They offer coffee, pastries and more. There are plenty of space to lounge and enjoy your food and beverages or read your books. A eye glass store also shares the humongous space within the building.Eventhough the main entrance is on a busy main street, there is ample parking and another entrance on the back street.
Absolutely love the Oxford Exchange great environment with a crowd of open minded business professionals and intellectuals. But I was not impressed with their breakfast Einstein’s bagels has a much better version of the salmon and caper with red onion bagel… they do have a book store, coffee and bakery shop as well as a champagne mimosa bar which I thoroughly enjoyed. Service was good and pleasant
I really wanted this place to be great, and honestly I was disappointed. Parking was $10 for starters. There is a champagne bar, but I dont drink so that wasnt anything special to me. There are knickknacks for sale for an average of $300 each. The restaurant was very hot with only cookies for dessert. The bookstore was so small it should be called a book corner. Nice greeting cards and perusing. Overall, it did have a cool vibe and very pretty lattes.
It was a beautiful experience. Everything was very well prepared. And very detailed. Whomever its in charge of the eggs Benedict, my hat off to you good sir. It was delicious. Hard to explain. As all the items folded into each other as I took an scrump·tious bite. And the chips were so crisp. Drinks by far worth the high end expense. Thank you for having us.Jan M C
Went with co-workers for a birthday celebration. THAT is my LUNCH PORTION pictured! Quite delicious! Try an Arnold Palmer with Peachy Keen mate tea...VERY refreshing! Server was Ryan. Very knowledgeable about the menu, made recommendations when asked, and was attentive and personable. Nice break in the day!
So it’s been 6+ hours since I had brunch here… I’m starving but I don’t feel like eating anything else because nothing I make or order is going to taste as great as the meal I had at OE… Besides having to make a reservation, it is a marvelous dining experience complimented with wonderful service. If I was a local, I would want a standing reservation.
LOVE this place. beautiful interior with a gift shop, champagne bar, tea bar, and coffee bar. the outdoor seating allows for great sunlight for pics. the food is a little on the pricier end but delicious! the fish tacos were seriously the best fish tacos i’ve ever had at a restaurant. the only downside is parking but that’s just a downtown Tampa issue.
Oxford exchange has a really good ambiance and atmosphere for brunch. We went here Saturday morning around 9:30am when they just opened and we were seated right away.Make sure you come here early! By the time we were done with brunch, there was a two hour wait and it was only 10:30 on a Saturday morning! However, they have a really cute bookstore in the front where you can browse around while waiting in line. The food was good but not anything special— we started off with a smoked salmon dip with bagel chips, chorizo eggs Benedict, and a Cuban sandwich. We also ordered a cappuccino as well as a ginger matcha green tea.I’d definitely recommend people to come here for the ambiance especially if it’s your first time! But we most likely will come back only if we have a friend in town, not for its food.
Atmosphere is out of this world. Theres a bookstore leading to a bar, leading to the restaurant with the indoor seating space being first then the outdoor option. To get seating a reservation is preferred ESPECIALLY for outdoors or you will be inside. The drink was a perfect reccomendation from the sweetest server Ive had in forever. He was right on point with everything was delicious 😋.
Everything was amazing, the food the service everything!!One of my favorite spot in Tampa
Independent bookstore in Tampa that also has a cafe. The beautiful building its housed in his over 100 years old. Every year around April they have a local author book fair where you can meet local authors, such as myself!
Great restaurant! It’s like a small town center w a book store, coffee shop, places to hang out, a main restaurant & some really cool light beams that shine through the windows around 5pm in the book store located on the north end of the establishment. Unfortunately we were there at noon so we’ll have to go back for those but the food was FIRE so expect those light beam pics soon! Thanks guys
This is the spot for breakfast, brunch, lunch tea or coffee and relaxed elegant atmosphere that caters to you. Its secret artisanal dining right here on Kennedy right across the bridge.Food was wonderful and tasted exactly how I breakfast should, and the potatoes were very original, crispy and not too flashy. The eggs were on the dairy side, so maybe they added a dash of sour cream or something extra? Not a fan. Bacon was nice and soft, and the toast was huge and fluffy grainy wheat. You will feel as if youre a special guest every time youre there.Get into the glass roofed conservatory, white brick walls and vines slinking down, with the sun shining through the glass roof, youll feel like youre in some lovely and precious place people should keep a secret.
Oxford Exchange is always a must-visit when I’m in the area. I’ve never eaten at the sit down restaurant, but the coffee and tea bars are always delicious. It’s such an incredibly relaxing space to visit with plenty of room to enjoy the space. The book shop up front is always thoughtfully curated with a lot of unique picks, and the shop on the other end has cute trinkets and gifts. It’s not a cheap place by any means, but you can find some goodies in every price range with a bit of digging. The space itself is always impressive and well-maintained.
One of the best restaurants I’ve been to. The ambience and food is 5 stars. Their cocktails are divine.
Havent been in ages! this salmon salad was amazing. We ordered takeout to be delivered. We got 2 of the salmon salads. So filling as well! I would definitely not wait as long to go back and or order again.
The Oxford exchange has an amazing English feel with nice deep dark wood used heavily in the architecture coupled with the whimsical feeling of walking into a bookstore. The food and service was top notch to say the least with professional and meticulous servers juxtaposed with ornate food with a wide variety of options for different diets. I was impressed by everything the Oxford exchange had to offer and would definitely visit again.
Best eggs benedict and perfect ambience
What a wonderful high end change to breakfast, lunch or dinner . Even if you just want to stop in for a gift, a new book and have a glass of wine the staff make you feel welcomed! Pancakes were super sweet and very filling so I recommend sharing them 🤗😃 also recommend having a cocktail or two. Cant wait to visit again!
This place looks really special maybe too special. Walked in for brunch at 10:30 and was told the next available table was 145 PM. So went to coffee bar got a mocha for $6 only to wait 15 minutes then told someone else took my drink 🤦🏻♂️. All that said the bookstore and the exchange really have some cool and unique items. The decore of the place is great, sort of Renaissance meet steampunk feel.
Beautiful place to take parents for brunch. My dad loved the architecture, books, and cocktail menu, while my mom loved the shopping, artwork and displays, and bellini. I love Buddy Brew and all the cozy niches. And we all thoroughly enjoyed the food.
Coffee was good. Loved the books
The restaurant is very nice but if you want good service service don’t go here. The restaurant was completely full and they were not able to deal with the stress. Also their revenue is more important then their serviceVery very sad to see such a nice restaurant deal with customer service.I tried contacting the restaurant but they have not answered one week later.
A groups of friends and I came for brunch and wow! Lovely atmosphere! The service was wonderful. Our server was very knowledgeable of the teas and had great recommendations! Large portions as well. I understand why they are always so booked! I will be back next time I am in town.
Beautiful place with great food. They have many different choices on their menu and offer breakfast all day long. The food is delicious and high quality, fresh and tasty ingredients. The prices are reasonable. Their coffee is really good. The staff are friendly and welcoming and the service is rather fast even when they’re packed. Better make a reservation for weekends or lunch as they tend to get quite full. All in all very recommended – a great choice for a breakfast, lunch or a brunch.
Everything was absolutely fine. The food was delicious and the staff were really nice. The place was really beautiful as well. Thanks you guys 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Stunning place!! We did not have reservations so we got seated at their main dining room next to their windows. Great service. We went there for breakfast and shared the omelette. The plates are big so you can share. Inside the Oxford Exchange it feels like an wealthy English Hone. Inside the building you can find a gift shop, bakery and a Champaign Bar.Back to the good. The lattes were great and our omelette was DELISH. With bacon, spinach, roasted peppers, scallion, gouda pimento cheese. It’s definitely a place worth visiting.
I wasn’t overly thrilled or absolutely satisfied. The ambiance here is very uplifting. I really appreciate the different tones each room sets. However, their food menu in the restaurant was underwhelming. Especially, taking in account for the wait time to be seated. I came on Sunday for lunch, and found only to have a burger or Cuban sandwich as “satisfying hunger” option to eat. It was not a gourmet lunch menu that I was expecting. The staff was phenomenal and catering. I did really enjoy the tea bar.
We are new to Tampa and so glad we met people who recommended this place. Fantastic food, service, and a great brunch. We will definitely be back! The Brussels sprouts are an amazing shareable app and I loved my French toast, which will probably feed me for 3 days. Husband loved the Benedict breakfast!
One of my top spots to grab lunch
Food was delicious especially the Egg tacos. The Green tea was okay though. Their french press coffee was awesome. Very friendly staff and great service.. Will definitely go again.
Wow the food was good. I wish we had one near where I live! Wen had these fish taco that were to die for? Our waiter was a blast, I loved every minute being there and hope to go back soon.
Nice atompshere and beautiful inside court yard. Love the salads and tomato bisque. Cappuccino there is my fav. This place would be the perfect lunch date.
Beautiful inviting decor throughout the space. Brunch was absolutely delicious. My omelette was made to perfection and the taste was amazing. I didn’t know what to expect but was pleasantly impressed. I’m glad I was able to experience this greatness.
Very cool building and delicious restaurant. There is a book store, cafe, coffee shop, and home decor shop. The food was amazing. 10/10. We got the eggs Benedict, cinnamon roll, side of lemon poppyseed pancakes, simple bacon egg and cheese sandwich, and the whipped feta. All were great. The whipped feta with Garlic Naan was the highlight, along with the lemon poppyseed pancakes. Highly recommend!
Amazing food and great environment. Must visit place especially if you are not from Tampa. It’s a building that has a book store, decor shop, coffee shop, tea shop, bar and a restaurant. The drinks in the restaurant’s menu come from the shops right outside.I’m not a tea person but I tried one here and was extremely impressed. The cappuccino here was very good and I really appreciated not getting served a cappuccino with sugar or other sweetener by default. The food we tried for brunch was the Cuban sandwich and the Italian flatbread. The amount is generous for the price. Will definitely return to try the rest of the brunch menu.Note: I HIGHLY recommend you make a reservation and do not do a walk-in. Wait times are 1-2 hours with out reserving a table. That is of course if you don’t mind waiting and enjoying what the rest of the Oxford exchange has to offer. Sit down in one of the comfy couches and hang out.
Amazing atmosphere@ Brunch was unbelievable. I had pancakes, omelet and Cuban sandwich
By far one of my favorite restaurants in Tampa. The food is consistently amazing and made fresh, and the decor is stunning. No trip to Tampa would be complete with out a trip to OE.
I brought my friends from Jacksonville Beach here to celebrate a friend birthday. She loved it!!! The food here is AMAZING!You must try the fall salad with salmon and the crispy brussell sprouts. Hands down the best in town.
Good coffee & espresso drinks? Yes. Phenomenal breakfast & brunch food? Yes. Professional & friendly staff? Yes. Warm & welcoming venue? Yes.
Such a lovely place! I was surprised that its not only a restaurant, but there is a book store, champagne bar, tea bar, eyeglass store and a boutique of candles and knick knacks. But brunch is what I came for and they didnt disappoint. My hubby and I had a ton of different items but my favorite was the brussel sprouts and the poppyseed pancakes. Our server was very attentive and the ambiance was upscale yet laid back. Ill definitely be back.Things to note: make reservations! And be aware that parking can be difficult to find close by. Be prepared to walk.
Food is okay but the atmosphere is better and great service
If you are meeting someone for a quick chat and coffee this is a good place with decent food in the restaurant nearby
You know that euphoric feeling you have from a spa day? When the sights, sounds, smells, and service all align just perfectly to relax your entire being? Thats the Oxford Exchange. The food was stellar, the service top notch, the atmosphere perfect. Somewhat pricy, but worth it for the experience. For a pandemic visit, make a reservation and go early to avoid a crowd and find parking. Check out is touch-free (QR), and the staff is conscious and responsible with gloves and masks. Amazing.
Great place for lunch. Love the design and the feeling is so comfortable. Food was perfect. Steak sandwich and sweet potato fries are to die for. The whipped feta and pita bread were mind blowing to the point where I will be making it at home as I do not live in Tampa. Will definitely be back.
Wow😮 This place is amazing. From its ambiance to the food, and even the service. Sometimes i also felt i was at Hogwarts or in a James Bond movie. Not to mention the restrooms felt like those youd find at an Ivy League School. This place will sure to dazzled you. If the weather permits, ask for a seat outside in the atrium!I tried the Lox and had a few drinks. All were mixed well and again, the service was great. Theres a bar just outside thats also great. Overall i had a great experience here on my vacation in Tampa. I highly recommend trying this spot out if youre in town👍🏽👍🏽
“New Timey” done right. New American food for flamboyant hipsters and Han Solo-vested sorority girls, bordered by witch hat wearing influencers, hungover tiktok dreamers brunching with their Porsche-driving moms, and Manhattan-sized pancakes. it’s all here.I’m in from Seattle. The Oxford Exchange oxygenated my blood.Order: Cinnamon roll, macchiato, poppyseed pancakes, omelette, avocado toast, smoked salmon dip (best), and a honey lavender tea to go.I don’t drink so please visit the champagne bar in my stead.
A must stop for brunch if in town. We shared the omelette, classic breakfast and avocado toast. Everything was excellent, but the highlights were the bacon, which was thickly sliced with a smokey flavor that separated it from other offerings. The fingerling potatoes fries were special. Service was excellent, attentive but not obtrusive, and the atmosphere is elegant and comfortable. Highly recommend.
Oxford Exchange is a very beautiful place. You can go there for breakfast or brunch. There is always a waiting time that is why I recommend you to make a reservation. I always make reservations but sometimes you need to wait 5-10 minutes anyway. Meanwhile, you can walk around, they have a book store, coffee shop, champing bar, and optic. They always have the best book selections. As well as, their coffee is amazing. A lot of people go there to have a cup of coffee and work or study. It is located close by to Tampa University, right across the street. They have some parking spaces available right next to the building. If there is no available parking, they have an additional one, a little bit further. It will be maybe a 3- 5 minutes walk. I always order there Grilled Chicken Paillard, it is arugula, truffle vinaigrette, shaved parmesan, crispy fries. That is my favorite. You can choose between sweet potato fries or just regular ones. The sauce they serve this dish is amazing. My boyfriend ordered Smoked Salmon on an everything bagel, chive crème, pickled red onion, fennel salad. If you like mimosas try their orange or cranberry. I personally love cranberry mimosa the most.
Very good brunch. Novel menu items and drinks. Great ambience in a lovely old building.
Loved this place! Food was good! The tea options were abundant! Loved the bookstore and seating all around outside of the restaurant. Definitely would like to return to try more food, beverages and just read a book away from home. Waiter was amazing! Wish I would have gotten his name to give him a special shout out!
Very cool environment. We explored the little shops on the sides of the restaurant - they were outlandishly expensive, but the food was awesome (the food was a bit more reasonably priced, but still more on the expensive side)! Also, theres an area just right outside the restaurant, still within the oxford exchange building, where you can just sit and chill as you wait for your table if you didnt make any reservations.
Excellent service. Building and grounds provide for great atmosphere, however main dining room is loud. The atrium would make a better spot for a conversation. Food was exceptional. We ordered the omlet, truffle mac n cheese, and slaw. Tea list is extensive. Pricing is on par with a fine hotel. Brunch for two with mamosas to finish came in at $80 with tip.
Excellent place for food & conversation. Very happy with the employees & attention to service. Adjacent to University of Tampa. Food is great drinks are great, service is great! will do again very soon!!!
The Oxford Exchange has much to offer. From selling eyeglasses, coffee and tea bars, bookstore a gift shop and a full service restaurant etc. Every room was bright and beautiful. We enjoyed some tea from the tea bar. It was delicious.
This place is so beautiful! I got myself lavender fog which was delicious, a yummy blueberry scone and some beautiful books from the gift shop. Great service, high quality products and wonderful, wonderful atmosphere! All staff I spoke with was super kind and efficient. Carmen in the gift shop was super helpful and kind. She even went out of her way to come upstairs and bring me my gift wrapped purchases. Highly recommend if you’re looking for something to do in the area.
Super cool place that makes you feel whisked to a past life in another country! Seriously, the architecture in the exchange and how it is decorated is just exquisite. Even the bathroom was so groovy, even if you don’t need to use it while you’re there just go take a peak, haha. I got a flat white coffee and it was just fantastic, one of the best flat whites I can remember having. I also got the turkey bacon ranch sandwich from the coffee bar. It tasted really good, but the bread was so chewy I was having trouble taking bites because I could hardly tear it. I don’t think it’s normally supposed to be like that, but oh well. They also don’t have in house wifi, which was unfortunate since I had went there to sit and do homework for a while. So if that’s something you wanted to do make sure you have LTE or your own connection. More towards the back they have a stand where you can buy just about every tea flavor imaginable, as well as a champagne bar, definitely unique. They have an actual restaurant part as well that was a cute area. Book shop at the front with a lot of really great options and some classics with Oxford Exchange special covers that I thought were awesome. Overall really rad place, you gotta go at least once just to say you’ve been.
Everything I wanted it to be and more. Not only was the ambiance incredible but the food was amazing as well. Amazing waitstaff literally could not be better.
Great place for brunch...
What can I say top of the line. One of the top 5 star brunches in Tampa. Its a hidden jewel...
Very cute place that has a great aesthetic to it. Popular for brunches and special occasions. Definitely an insta-worthy establishment!
Only thing can complain about is its kind of loud inside.Otherwise, the place is just like The Library in downtown Saint Pete (down to the receipts delivered in books), so if you like that restaurant you will like this one.
Amazing Sunday brunch. Eggs Benny. Steak and eggs. Fruit bowl great potatoes. Real fresh juiceBreakfast cocktails. First class in every way
Beautiful place. Very pricey but youre paying for the ambiance. I wouldnt reccomend the Cuban sandwich, but everything else we had was excellent. Service was very high end even with the service industry hurting lately.
What.a.cool.vibe. literatis paradise.
Amazing brunch food. Very fresh. Outside seating is the best. Its a glass green room with a fountain. Service was amazing. Lox and bagel was very good. Kid friendly
Delicious salad and burger brunch in a lovely airy setting. Renowned location and popular place. Make a reservation over an hour wait because it’s so popular. Great brunch menu.
