We moved my daughter to USF in August. While there, we had a tire on her car go bad. They replaced the tire quickly and at a very fair price. Fast forward to last week. My daughter called and said she had a flat on another tire and it wasnt holding air. She visited the shop and they found a screw in her tread. Plugged the hole and charged a small fee for the service. It is very comforting to know that there is a nearby mechanic for her that is fair, honest, well priced and doesnt take advantage of young college students. Thank you for all of that!

Very HONEST and professional. I went here 2 weeks ago to replace my Charger battery and saved almost $100. I went today to check my A/C on my Durango. The dealer quoted almost $2,500 to repair when alls I needed was a new stem valve and recharge. Great job Sears! God bless!
RIP-OFF MECHANIC!They did my brakes and asked for them to check my a/c and belt. Came back and said that it needed a recharge which they had ALREADY done and charged me $60 because “in order to test it they have to charge it”. Then tried to tell me that my wheel bearing was bad. Something didn’t feel right, the guy wouldn’t even print out the estimate for me after I asked twice just told me the price to do it. $210. I told them not to do that and I’d take it to my collision center to double check since I had had an accident on that side a year ago. Collision center checked it and said that it is absolutely fine! There is nothing wrong with my vehicle and this shop tried to scam me out of my money in a pandemic!! Do not go here! I will be contacting their corporate office as well.
There are some really honest and top certified mechanics here! Ive been told so many things and quoted outrageous prices to fix my baby, but when I brought it here for an alignment, they laid out what really was wrong w my car, so the following week I went back to ger ot fixed. Amazing price! Saved like $500! And now my car is quick, smooth and a pleasure the drive again. Thanks guys! Ill definitely refer some work so keep it up 💪🏾💪🏾😆

Tire rotation and front end alignment was done BETTER than Reeves VW!! I had an alignment issue and took my Jetta in for Reeves to replace the tire and get the alignment done. Six months later I was in Sears getting the same service done because I couldnt trust Reeves VW. Six months! With Sears I didnt have to worry again up to when a woman decided to cross traffic in front of me (over a year and a half); Car got totalled.

I used Amazon to purchase 4 new tires and Ship-to-Store installation. I chose the store and appointment time on Amazon upon purchase.When I arrived, I was kindly greeted by Andre. Upon installation, they found the pressure sensor on one of the tires was broken which is why the tire pressure light had been on. They charged me $50 for the part (reasonable for a shop) and no additional labor. I also purchased new wipers (necessity with how much it rains in Florida) and they installed those for free as well.Everything looked and operated smoothly after they were done. My appointment length was 3 hours and they wrapped up in around 2 hours. Most of all, Andre was very helpful in explaining the issue and was honest about the cost. Auto repairs and services will always be costly and a hassle, but this Sears Auto Center made it a hell of a lot easier on me.

Great service! They fixed my water pump in a short amount of time and their pricing is competitive. They also offer a leasing program for those of us who have bad credit.
Repaired my pressure washer at a reasonable price but lost all my nozzles and they said they were ordering meA new set but it never came. I called them a few times but they never answered my call. When I called from work they answered right away. Feeling is someone was avoiding me. I ordered replacement nozzles for $7 so I dont have to keep calling.
Not quite the professionals youre use to but with a little monitoring and helpful suggestions they get the job done. Make sure as with any mechanical repairs to read the invoice for discrepancies. Im pleased with the pricing and wait time. Friendly and courteous counter people. Overall good experience.
The service that I received on Nov. 3rd 2017 was Outstanding!Bobby and his team repaired and replaced R Front Wheel Bearing that was fused to the axle making all kinds of noise. I bought two tires from amazon and they were delivered to this center. Everyone has super helpful when I got them installed onto my car and then about 2 or 3 weeks later I ran over a screw so I went here to get a tire patch and it turns out when they took apart my tire the screw didn’t go though. They didn’t charge me anything for that job! Will come back whenever I have a problem I can’t fix on my car.
The experience I had was ok. I went in to have my tires rotated and an oil change. After everything was completed my car started to shake. I drive a long commute and any wariness I feel or hear with my car definitely alerts my attention. I went back and they said I that I needed new tires. You would think this could have been told to me while my car was there the first time. So, I bought a couple tires and everything was fine but unfortunately do to the lack or miscommunication I will not be returning.

Very unprofessional service! Car had electrical issue Friday before the hurricane, called Sears and they said they were open. Car was towed there and they were closed 2 hours early to prepare for Hurricane (understandable). Car rental place said they would be open Monday. They failed to open until Wednesday. Guy I turned my car into said the guy who fixes alternators wouldnt be in till around lunch. Called at 5pm, guy hadnt showed. I complained and customer service told me to suck it up, he didnt have power at his house, so I shouldnt complain. I called back the next day at 5, the mechanic still hadnt shown up. Called again on Friday, still had not shown up, but customer service guy said he would be in bright and early Saturday Morning. I called at 2 pm Saturday afternoon, he told me he forgot to tell the mechanic about it, and would try to get it fixed by the end of the day. I was charged $555 for a used alternator and new battery terminals. Of course it was also another $550 dollars for the rental car since I had to have a rental for over a week. I made a complaint over a week ago and manager has never called me, so now I am escalating to district manager.
I just moved to Tampa and I have been searching for a quality automotive center. This place is not it. This is by far the worst place I have been to for an oil change. The cost was outrageous. But, the primary reason for this bad review is because of their customer relations. They didnt treat me like a valued customer. I was treated like an obstacle and a nuisance. Not only was I treated like this by their cashier, but by one of their managers as well.The bad part is that this is the closest automotive center to my house but I will have to go a little farther down the road from now on. They will never get another penny from me for as long as I live in Tampa. I will continue searching for a quality automotive center. And when I find it, I will let you know.
I am an Uber / Lyft driver full time, needless to say Im in my car driving every day. I drive over 35mins from my house passing another sears but I dont mind the drive since im treated like family. Shout out to awesome manager and staff that really cares. Feels like my big brothers looking out for me.😊 keep up the great service.

Great facility I took a pressure washer in for repair to my surprised the facility was clean and the service tech was very helpful. He kept true to his word of keeping me informed on the status of repair. I learned that the auto center will remain open even though the main sSears store is closing. The folks in the auto center were great.

HORRIBLE AND UNPROFESSIONAL SERVICE!!!!!!I have 4 Tires Replaced and balanced . I pay them $97 dollars for alignment as well . As soon as i drove from the store the car was pulling to the rigth (I have recorded a video on the freeway where I was driving in the middle lane and the car clearly pulls to the rigth .The next day I went back to the store in order to get the service redone . I have never seen such a poor customer service in my life, they where rude and unprofessional . I show them the video and they dint even care about it . They realigned and balanced the car . When I drove it, was worse than before . I have to end up taking my car to Peps boy (I should have taking my car here in first place) they did an awesome sevice, they show me that in fact the car needed alignment And balancing ( I have prove) . This place should be close, such a disappointment that SEARS allows this type of behavior .
Used to really like them, I felt like their price was fair. But Im switching to Good Year now because, 1) The folks at this Sears arent that friendly, 2) Good Years price is cheaper, 3) I did a 29 point inspection and I am currently having break issues. I cant believe that was not picked up in the inspection. Taking my car to a different place now.One good thing about this place though is that they are usually fast, and they dont try to up sell you. However, the guest lounge is nothing to write home about. I really think they need to work on service with a smile. I am a car novice, and it would be nice if the people caring for my car are more understanding of this and more enthusiastic towards my questions.

GO SOME WHERE ESLE! I wish I could give these scammers a NEGATIVE 10 stars. My car had problems by the time I made to my house. Purchased 2 front brakes and 2 front tires on Saturday. By Thursday the car is undrivable. Complete con artist who tells me if we broke it we will fix it. Sure because you are so the type of people already who are going to tell me you caused it. My common sense has already done that for me since my car has been perfect for years. Wish I had read these reviews. The Jig is up, you guys are the typical shop that cant be trusted.
They wanted too charge me $107!!! To press in a wheel bearing. I did all the labor myself. Who do you think youre fooling? Took me for some kind of chump. A simple labor free job for $107 smh I could have paid the quality auto shop up the street $180 for the whole job, but I wanted to do it myself.
They left the plate on the bottom of my car open after they completed my oil change, which i was unaware of until i pull off to the side of the road hearing scraping sounds and promptly went back. They told me it was my fault for parking too close to the blocks in my apartment, Im not sure if they are liars or just incompetent but do not go to this location.

Hello I went to the store on Fowler Ave in Tampa, FL and I have a complaint I want to file. I called the store yesterday to book an appointment for an alignment on my van because it is still under warranty. Andre at the store told me to come see him at 8am. I get there at 8:10am and I tell him I need to get my alignment done for my warranty he tell me the guy that does the alignment is off today and I said to him that I booked an appointment yesterday with him and he said oh yeah he called out this morning. Clearly he was lying, so then I’m like when can I get this alignment he says come back tomorrow. I leave the store frustrated and furious since I just wasted 30 mins of my time driving there and I had an appointment at 11am for something else. I then called the store an hour or so later and I said I want to pay for a alignment and they said that yes they can take care of me in a hour or so. I went to the store and told Andre and Chuck at the store that they lied to me and he said you can go elsewhere to get my alignment. Would not do business with with them ever again
I had my battery die after I got out of work. So after getting a jump from AAA I came here for a replacement. I waited in the showroom for about 10 minutes, during which I had a phone conversation about what battery I should get. I heard talking and, approaching a door, saw an employee on the phone. It was a business call, but honestly didnt sound important enough to ignore a customer. After he hung up, I told him I needed a replacement battery. He said I cant do that., saying that they were closing in ten minutes. Even with my limited car knowledge, I know a battery change is an easy job. So, I wont be going here again.
This place is the worst. The staff is unfriendly, the soda machine in the waiting room is overpriced, the wifi doesnt work, there is no a/c in the waiting room... the list goes on. I came here for a 3 o clock appointment today. When I came in they told me they over booked it and said they should have it done by close. And people... this is to plug a tire... TO PLUG A FREAKING TIRE!!! Totally not worth $20. Never coming here again unless they totally restaff everyone. Do yourself a favor and never come here.
I am sure that the people writing bad reviews are mostly people that dont know anything about cars or how they work. I have been going here for around a year any have been quite happy with them and their work.Side note: If youre going to write a review - learn to spell correctly people, this isnt twitter.

Had my tires rotated and balanced because it was time to. Got the truck back and noticed a strong vibration at highway speeds. They made the ride 3x worse, so now I have to figure out when I can get it back to them to do it right. Very disappointing.

Severely understaffed. Came in at noon to get two tires that were in stock and watched basically two employees run the shop by themselves. Its now 5pm and the shop is closing and I am still waiting. This used to be the only place that I used for basic car repairs. Probably not any more. Not the 2 employees fault I suppose.
I left the car for service the whole day. I picked it up 6 hours later and there were many things that made me think they did nothing with the car. When I checked the oil, I found it had the old oil. They had already paid me like they did the job. The manager’s response was “I don’t know what happened.”
I find the people here kind and helpful. I have basic work done here such as an oil change, battery installation, and lights installed, and additionally bring my car into the Brandon Honda dealer occasionally as they are experts in Hondas and can inform me best (but the drive is far). Sears Auto Center is walkable to USF, which is wonderful.

This is by far the worst Sears Auto center. Ive takin my truck up there three times for oil changes as I bought my tires from Sears and have a rotation package and must say the employees are extremely rude. Drive another 5 miles and go to Gulfview. Ive given them the benefit of the doubt one too many times. These guys are extremely rude and dont care about their customers. They do not handle appointments accordingly. Time estimates of when jobs will be completed are always extended by 2+ hours. Just a disgrace on a great Sears name. Good job University Mall!
Be careful with these guys. They will trick you and will charge you for unnecessary things.I took the car for tire change and without informing me they billed me for road hazard service, performance service etc.They charged $450 for 2 tires. Cant trust these guys .
This place is very touchy. If you are really really nice to them then it is good. Otherwise they get really cranky.
Out of the 100 shops in the area, this will always be in the bottom 2% in customer service and pricing. Prices are out of range but I suggest calling 2 or three other shops and trust them first. With this place it can either go really good or really bad. While going to USF i used this dealership for all my car needs even after i graduated. But then I notice a trend. some visits everything would go well and Im in and out. other visits I get screwed, for example They broke my car door handle twice, which i had to pay for, they claim that it was already damage which is a lie because I take really good car of my car. I wanted to call the cops but i realized it would be to over the top, the 2nd time they broke the car handle I never went back. the wait time is ridiculous, bring a book, also if you get a alignment go back the next day because its never 100% accurate, never go on weekends because its going to be a loooonnnnggg wait. and if their about to close, you can forget about getting your car fix because theyll do anything to shoo you away. sear auto is a good company, they will pay for your car services if you have they rewards card, however just be careful were you go, not everyone has your best interest at hand. Make sure you know your prices, know your car and always get estimates from different mechanics in the city. If your car still has the same issues after getting it fix TAKE IT BACK AND LET THEM KNOW! ignorance is not bliss, it will cost you money. Ask alot of questions if you dont know whats going on.

DO NOT BRING YOUR CAR HERE!!!! I brought my car in for an oil change even supplied the synthetic oil and long life filter and still paid $30 but a week later noticed they did not properly tighten the filter cannister and oil was leaking everwhere. They didnt even bother to check where the leak wad coming from before they took it apart and put it back together then told me they did nothing wrong and I had a previous leak! NOT TRUE!! After 3 hours on a Saturday they had tightened the cannister and coyldnt find a leak ANYWHERE yet still argued with us they had done nothing wrong. Didnt clean ANY of the oil off my car either. The mechanic never once apologized either. Problem wad fixed for 2 days now its leaking from the same place again. Thank God my husband can fix it we took it there for convenience. ....BIG MISTAKE BEWARE!!! THIS IS VERY SERIOUS AMD MY CAR COULD HAVE CAUGHT ON FIRE!!!!! CAN YOU SAY LAWSUIT ANYONE ??????
Avoid at any cost. Asked them to replace my alternator. OK - they said - come over tomorrow by 1. Two days later they say they dont know what the issue is, pushed my car out of the shop with windows DOWN in the RAIN. Also broke my washer hose. Wasnt charged but still feel ripped off

Took them more than two hours to change oil and inspect brakes, so I left without getting the full brake inspection... If you go there, plan to spend about 4 hours. Very poor customer service. Not coming back!
