This is an outstanding business! I used them to replace my tires when I lived in the area and now I send my daughters there whenever their cars need service. I trust them completely to keep my girls safe and never take advantage of them through price gouging. I cannot say enough positive things about this shop!

This repair shop absolutely deserves the highest rating!! Employees are super friendly, professional and very trustworthy. No price gouging here whatsoever! My car was in need of a catalytic converter which they installed quickly and for an extremely reasonable amount. Ill definitely be returning for any future repairs. Had car all day since 10 am didn’t touch it all day called at 230 in afternoon said they would at least chk to see what the problem is but couldn’t fix same day called back at 545 still didn’t look at it nothing done 8 hrs wasted no phone call to let customers know no apology shop mgr argued with me and hung up on me not professional at all won’t get my business!

Waited an hour for an oil change just to be told that they only have one lift capable of picking up my truck and it wont be available for another 5 hours. I will not be using midas again .

Excellent Work. Short Time. I came fromNew Jersey all the way to Florida for vacation realizing my radiator for my 2017 Toyota Sienna had to be replaced because of a leak, I came to Midas and ask for the replacement and they were super nice and especially the person who fixed it, AJ he did an excellent job and he did it in a short amount of time and he worked in 90 degree weather to fix my car and he was super nice to us.

Worst car shop I’ve ever been to, made me miss a meeting when my car wasn’t ready, didn’t tell me where they parked it (crammed into between two cars in the back with a foot on each side), took an extra day to finish, tried to charge $100 more than what I was told on the phone… poor customer service

The most horrible experience I was displayed by the owner himself Marcus. Customer was Very unprofessional by him. When told I would contact corporate he said “that’s fine the complaint will come on my desk and I will just delete it” well I will not stop until something is done after Midas completely made my engine fail due to lack of oil placed in my vehicle. WILL BE CONTACTING THE BBB IMMEDIATELY!!! And lawyer

I was from out of town and was traveling back to Chicago. I was worried taking the car into an unfamiliar location. They gave me an estimate, which was shockingly reasonable, and then charged me even less because all the work was not necessary. Very refreshing in this day and age. Great team they have there.

They gave me a quote after the initial inspection, and stuck to it even when the actual price after repair would have exceeded that initial number. Good people but bad service. Fixed everything in the car except for what I asked to be fixed. Spent a huge amount of money and they fixed everything they could see. Racked the bill up and didn’t even fix the underlying issue for why I brought it in. They say they have technicians for German cars, but they have no idea what’s wrong with my car. If you have a high end Mercedez or BMW take it to Mercedez and BMW, worth the price if it gets your car 100% fixed.

Horrible Horrible Horrible Customer Service. I dropped my car off on Lunch Break and was assured my car would be ready by the time I’m off work at 5pm. Needless to say I arrived at 5:20 pm and my car was not even worked on at all! I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy!

I’ve been coming to midas for many years now since i first got my car. The best place to go to. They have great people, they have fair pricings, and are just awesome all around. Throughout the years different issues have came up on my car and i can always rely on midas.

The people are nice, and I expect long wait times. But, I specifically asked the supervisor on duty to please make sure the mechanic working on my car (I went in for an oil change) makes sure the oil drain plug is tightened properly. I asked them to do this because I paid for an oil change at different small business/local shop (different car) and the oil drain plug fell out while I was driving, and I was stuck on the highway because of it.So... the mechanic at this Midas did not follow through, and oil leaked and then poured out. And P.S., this is not a normal thing, and no, it shouldnt happen, ever, and no my car does not vibrate uncontrollably (or at all). The oil drain plug is also not defective.My car is fine because I look for oil after my experience with my last car, but my life was completely disrupted this week because of this, and I specifically asked for a double check on that oil plug.I want to note that I was a repeat customer. This wasnt the first time I had been in there for an oil change, and I want to mention again that my oil drain plug is not defective. They just didnt take enough care, thats all that happened. There is zero quality control when it comes to supervisors making sure that all work done (like an oil change) is done well.And I am not interested in an employee from this company responding with a sorry you were not happy follow up. Too late. Go make sure your mechanics are doing the right thing, and make sure they have what they need. Thats how you can make this right.

Would give a zero if I could.Took my car in to do a timing belt swap in January of 2020. I provided my own parts because the parts numbers they provide were triple the cost of the same exact part I could get at my nearby auto part store. The car was off timing when I got it back from them and I knew it right away. Marcus, the owner, first lied to me in my face and said my car was running that way already but I shut him up once I showed him a video of how my car was running the morning I took it in. (I always take videos for my protection). Then he changed his story and said it was an air fuel ratio problem so I took it to my tuner. My tuner said the timing was clearly off. I take it back to Midas with this information, he then tells me he will have to charge me again for the job just to check if the timing was on or not and tells me he thinks it’s the spark plugs and wires. I knew he was wrong but I get new spark plugs and wires and take it to 2 other mechanics that immediately told me the timing was off. I take it back to him and he tries to say it’s something with the air again. Eventually he takes the car back after about a whole month of the car running wrong and having to argue with him back and forth and of course the timing was off but he tries to say the timing belt tensioner I brought in was defective and charges me for a new one without telling me. I call corporate and he then calls me on his personal cell phone to tell me that filing a complaint won’t get anywhere because he owns the place and has freedom to do what he wants in that regard. Corporate tells me if I send my part back in to the original manufacturer, they can test if the part was truly defective from factory. I send the part back and they indeed confirmed that the part was not defective from factory and appeared to have taken some damage during installation. At that point I did not even care to get a refund as this whole process took about 3 months. Marcus has little knowledge about timing and it took me going to 3 different mechanics with paperwork from them that showed that they all acknowledged that the job was done incorrectly in order for Marcus to fix it. I have spent over $3,000 at Midas so it’s really disappointing when I get this kind of service. I never write reviews but he just sent me another message today to antagonize and says it was an automated message. I have it all recorded and documentation for everything said in this review.If you need an oil change I think they might be capable of that. But if you need a bigger job please go literally anywhere else.**********************Update***********************They also installed my water pump pulley on backwards, so it tore up my $50 Gates heavy duty alternator/water pump belt.Go literally anywhere else. I’ve been to 2 different Midas, same bad results.

I knew I’d need tires for my van in the near future and had priced out a set from Discount Tire that was recommended for the use of my vehicle. I checked online and knew Midas wasn’t a dealer for the brand I was looking at. Upon dropping my van off for an oil change I asked Marcus is by chance if he would be able to get the tires I had picked out and much to my surprise he was able to source the exact make, model, size, and rating I needed! He went above and beyond to find what I was looking for and that is why I continue to keep coming back to Midas Tampa Dale Mabry anytime my vehicle needs servicing. Their staff and their upfront honest way of business continues to exceed my expectation each and every visit for the past 5 years.

One of our kids was heading to Disney at 6:30 last night when my wife noticed a low (not flat) tire. The tire had a huge screw in the middle of it. I told him to take another car, my wife says call Midas So, I call and amazingly Juan answers the phone and eagerly replies sure, come on over. 30 minutes later the kids were back on I-4 to Disney. Obviously a tire doesnt pay their bills, but they treat everyone in the family the same way, whether its a tire, oil change, or engine rebuild.Thank So Much Guys!

If I could leave 10 stars I would. I always try to go to Midas if it is in my area and they did not disappoint today. The time estimate was accurate, the estimate was fair, and I didn’t need to even bring up the coupon, Marcus already applied it. I was in and out and I made it to my interview. Choosing another shop is a mistake, go to Midas. I’m still in disbelief on how smooth that was.Update**** So maybe its the way this location is set up but it is jam packed with cars. I got a notification saying my car was ready, I arrived 40 minutes later to it blocked in. I had to wait almost 20 minutes inside to check in, when I had card in hand ready to go. Insult to injury, many people were not wearing masks, but at least get your customers out who are taking extra precautions for their health. Do not go here if you are strapped on time, I had my groceries sitting in front of my door as a result. Nice guys, terrible location set up, not time efficient.

Marcus here was a life saver. I had just been quoted 680 dollars for a basic brake job at Pep Boys, called here to get a quote and he offered the same work for 360. He did say it was busy (it was a Saturday afternoon) and so he would need it for a while, totally reasonable so I dropped off my car. He finished a few hours later about 4:10 and they close at 4, but when I was a good 45 minutes away he said he would make sure someone was still here when I arrived to get my car, and true to his word I showed up, checked out, and I was on my way. Big thanks to Marcus and the guys here for doing good work at a reasonable price and being thoughtful and reasonable with customers.

Excellent shop!I came in with a dead battery, and Marcus was an amazing help. Worked with me to find the right battery; when we found the battery I needed had to be ordered, he set me up with a loaner so my truck wasnt useless for the day. Got a call the come back in the afternoon and got my ordered battery quickly installed.Very friendly all around, and fair price as well. Extremely grateful for the service, and I will be back again!

My family has been coming here for years & have trusted them with all our vehicles . Each time has been a positive and pleasant experience . They attempt to give you the best price possible while delivering quality service . Let’s face it folks inflation is high & parts aren’t cheap so I appreciate the attempted discounts & attempts to shop around before giving me a set price . They also try and keep wait times down but in the event it’s busy they’ll warn you in advance and give you an ETA which they stay true to . They’ll give you recommendations after your courtesy checks but won’t ever pressure you into fixing . I trust them more than dealership mechanics. Overall 5 stars in my book .

I brought my 06 Mercedes CLK350 here to take care of a mysteriously misfire. I would recommend this shop over the Dealership honestly. Iv been to Mercedes of Tampa a few Times and have been very dissapointed. The emphasis on customer experience and satisfaction are what will keep me coming back. I came in very last minute 5 minutes before closing time and Juan was happy to take care of my issue and try and work a little on it after closing. The very next day my car was ready and I was on my way. Marcus even reached out that next day to make sure I was pleased with how it felt. I had a slight concern with how something sounded and he said to bring it right back. He took care of it and it was better than ever. Quality people and shop.

Got my oil changed here. Friendly staff and reasonable prices. Seems like every mechanic in town wants to charge $45+ for a simple oil change nowadays, but here they charged me a totally fair price. Even though I showed up about 30 minutes early for my appointment, Marcus still made sure my car was taken care of in less than an hour. Will be back!

The store Manager Marcus is one of the most honest people I have met. I know cars decently enough to not be ripped off and he is extremely fair and straight forward. You might find some stuff done a few dollars cheaper at other shops, but it won’t be backed by Midas very strict standards and warranties on numerous of their products. From a oil change to complete engine swap this location has earned my business. Can’t say enough good things about the guys here.

This was my second visit to this Midas location and both visits were really great experiences. They got me in and out quickly and did not try to offer me services that I didn’t need on my car. I really felt like they were looking to help me fix my tire problem at the lowest price option and respected my time!

Marcus and the team at Midas know their business. They don’t spend time trying to sell you something that you don’t need. They tell you what needs to be repaired, what doesn’t need to be repaired, and what service you may want to keep an eye out for in the future. After getting a ridiculous quote for my newer Audi brakes from the dealership I brought it in the Midas. They were friendlier than the dealership and replaced them at a fraction of the cost. I thought so highly of their service that I brought my truck to them the very next week.

The store manager Marcus is very friendly and helpful. They are very honest and never push for unnecessary work to be done on your car. From the few times I have been here, even if they are really busy they always try their best to fit you in.

First I want to mention everyone was nice. Not so much professional..so No Star. . I took my car May 16 @ 9 AM.. to this location on dale Mabry. suppose to take 45 min to check it.. my car was just sitting there for two hrs before telling me anything. After 8 hours they tell me the part that they said they could get was the wrong one.. NOT Happy now! They said it will be Monday before I can get my car back .. they gave me three estimates from 1800,to 1600, to 2300 before I left. No one called me Monday, Tuesday, wensday, I had to call all three days and everyday there was some excuse or issue. Thursday came I went at 7:30 AM to see what was going on. My car was still in the shop they couldn’t figure out why all my dash lights were on. I took it for a ride with the Marcus and it still pulled to the side. I told them I was not happy that I was recommended by someone and that I should have taken it to the Dearler. They are certified they should know what they doing. I went to work and picked up my car at 1 pm Thursday. I took it to lexus for an oil change straight from there and they told my my aliennent was off a little this shouldn’t be because Midas charged me for the aliement .. the total cost at Midas was $2500 out the door. I think they over charged me for parts, labor, and recieved terrible services. Minimum to No communications, very sloppy work . Left all the floor paper in my car, oil finger prints on my windows and inside, I had to pay to have it cleaned and sterilized in side. . I’m seeking some type of refund for being over charged.. will be calling and emailing the owner of all Midas Monday . Extremely disappointed in the service I recieved .

The Midas on Dale Mabry Hwy is especially trustworthy and honest. A customer with them for the last couple of years with one of my vehicles, I went there with my other car when the brand name dealership recommended high cost for brake rotor replacement. After examing my brakes, Midas told me I wasnt even close to needing rotor replacement. On confronting the dealership they reviewed and admitted their technician was in error. Midas saved me from spending hundreds on work I did not need. Thank you Midas!

These guys are great. I was never pressured into anything. You go in for an oil change and that what you get. They dont try to sell you $900 with of repair when you go in for oil. Owner is typically there. Nice guy. Always treats me professionally as does the staff.

My experience w. this Midas wasnt good. I scheduled a pre purchase car inspection to include the electrical ck. too. Upon completion, the store rep only verbally addressed an insignificant (to me) repair along with a brake light bulb replacement & tire tread info. Nothing else seemed significant from the written report he provided from the courtesy ck. Not having a mechanics eyes I thougt the car to be in good shape from his comments so rather than going to look at another car in Clearwater that had 1/2 the mileage, decided to purchase the slightly newer car. Later, discovered that the whole suspension system needs repair, which was maked in the yellow on his report but he never made any comments about. COSTLY & very distressing.

I had a problem with my car in Brandon and the employee named Juan was more than nice enough to drive to my location and help me. He even went out of his way to drive behind me while I drove the car back to the shop. He gave me a ride home after we drove to the shop. I am so grateful to have a mechanic shop who goes above and beyond for their customers.

Pleasant experience - no one tried to sell me anything I didnt need, the Synthetic was reasonably priced, and they even gave me a $10 discount without asking to offset the synthetic upgrade. Professional and courteous, I was in and out in under 40 minutes even with other cars on lifts. Ill definitely be back...

STAY FAR AWAY!!! These people not only screwed up our brakes by using white lithium grease on our calipers but they overtightened our lug nuts. As soon as we tried to change our tires the other day the lug spun. 8 out of 10 lugs had to be replaced.

I typically dont like chains but the guys there do a great job making it feel like a home town shop. They are a friendly group guys that appear to be very honest. It is always a pleasure dealing with them. No high pressure pitches trying to up charge your on repairs.

Tire valve went out and they were easy, cheap, and convenient. Very nice guys too and have wifi in waiting area so I could get work done while waiting. They dont mind explaining the issues also. (As a woman, I am very cautious when choosing where to take my car, Id come back here)

Simply superb. Possibly the best customer service we have had in the entire US on our 6 month road trip. We are out-of-towners and sometimes feel like we are being ripped off. Not here. From the moment we arrived the entire team were friendly, professional and honest. They made suggestions but didnt push for work that could be done. They took the time to show us the parts that needed replacing and explaining the issues in laymans terms. And then were persistent in finding the solution to a pesky noise that just wouldnt go away. Never go here. I have had my brakes replaced before the warranty everytime. The last time we were there I had to confront them about removing parts from our brakes that they shouldnt have according to the Toyota dealership. The confrontation got ugly and police were involved. Today I went to get new tires and found out lugnuts were stripped on every tire. They were the last ones to work on three of my tires. Feeling angry! The only thing good about this Midas is Larry that worked the desk. I hope he finds employment elsewhere.

They are nice but the whole concept of lifetime warranty is false. I had to replace a muffler extension pipe and tail pipe. The muffler was free but they serious overcharge for the pipes About double.they ended up charging 215.00, the original job was only 280. So the service is fine, but they overcharge to make up for warranty work. All in all, I would never go there again.

A big thank you to Bob and Larry for staying late to make sure I was safe! I called 15 mins before they were closing with a question about grinding brakes. I was told to come on in. Once I arrived they checked the brakes and they were a HOT MESS! I felt comfortable with the explanation and NON-SCARE tactics. I was told what was wrong and what it was going to cost to correct, then was told what I should get done right away and what could wait. They took care of my truck as soon as the parts arrived. This is the second time I have brought my vehicle to this Midas location and will continue to bring it here as long as Marcus is the owner. He is so friendly and pleasant to work with and goes above and beyond on customer service. Last time I brought my vehicle in he stayed past closing time for me to come pick up my car when I was running late in traffic as well as giving me a discount from my Midas VIP card even though it had expired some time ago. This time he not only discounted me on some labor costs (as he had to try a few things to figure out what the underlying cause of the issue was) he also replaced all my brake lights and my rear windshield wiper free of cost without me even asking about them.It is so hard to find a quality, trustworthy shop to bring your car to and I am so glad I found this one. Would highly recommend!

Car was making noises like its going to blow up. Took it to Midas in Brandon because I went there for oil changes all the time because they have fair prices. Guys were very nice. I spent $1000 to have the noise fixed, they replaced the muffler and resonator on my Versa, but its not fixed. My car still sounds like its going to blow up. And Jay, whatever happened to that courtesy call?
