Highly recommend. Very good experience from start to finish. Ray and James are straight shooters and know their business. Job completed on time and reasonably priced.
Great honest people, Fast service,Southern Hospitality while I was there !! Ray Bryan and James Hudson explained everything to me, down to every detail as it was being done why and how they was doing it !! I have had not the best experience when it comes to trusting people with my car, But they way that they are with honesty, respect and they way they treat you and your car, I will never go to anyone else!! Thank y’all so much !! God Bless y’all!!
Very honest, will work with you. Got my Mustang back up and running after the engine blew a piston, very quickly. Definitely quality work.
We have a Ford F150 Gas engine truck with over 400K miles on it. They did a complete rebuild for us and now every time we drive it we SMILE! They did such a great job and we HIGHLY recommend this shop to anyone that wants quality work done on their engine.
My 1973 Corvette began to emit gray exhaust smoke last year. After several months of trying a few low level fixes, it became clear that a more significant option was in order. I took it to Tampa Bay Engine Shop for an engine rebuild in October 2015. When the job was completed I quickly ran off 1,000 miles in six weeks as a test of the work, including in-town driving as well as high speed interstate highway. After a few hundred miles, I also began to test full throttle from dead start as well as dropping down a gear at higher speeds. Everything works as it should. There are no leaks of any fluids, engine temp is fine, add-ons such as A/C still work as they should. At this point I can say that Ray and his team did very good work on my car. I will report again a year from now--after another 2,000+ miles--to provide an update.Update, November 2016: Engine still runs great but developed loud tapping noise. Took to Ray at Tampa Bay Engine Shop and he quickly diagnosed exhaust leak and repaired it the next day. Good guy with a solid approach to doing business.
Honest, dependable and well priced. Almost as if the mechanic Cowboy has a magic wand. Able to fix anything in a very timely manner that I bring to them.
They were super professional. Only took a week to rebuild my engine, and I couldnt be happier. Thank yall so much...
I just had my engine rebuilt in my 2005 scion xb and it is driving better than ever! The people there are great and honest..I would recommend anyone needing engine work to go there! Awesome place!

I took my 1993 Ford E-150 to Tampa Bay Engine about a year ago. First and foremost, dont be fooled by appearances. The shop is in a warehouse but the customer service is second to none. I dealt with Ray who was very informative and professional. I had issues with my vehicle when I took it to Tech 1 Auto on Causeway and that was a mistake. They did supbar work on a remanufacture and in less than a year I was having issues. When I took it back to them they did not want to work on it and was trying to tell me that the issues were the result of a sparkplug wire and when that was changed I was told it was a spark plug. After being disappointed with their service I took my vehicle to Tampa Bay Engine and within a day Ray informed me that Tech 1 had not done anything remotely close to a remanufacture. I had all original parts still on my engine. Ray made the necessary repairs and within a week I had my vehicle back and it was running fine as I drove from Tampa to Atlanta with no issues. I started hearing a clicking noise and took it back where it was immediately repaired without issues. It is currently close to a year later and I have not had any issues at all and the vehicle is running like a new vehicle. I appreciate people like Ray who is honest and straight forward. All people can ask for is for what they pay for and not to be swindled to and lied to constantly. I highly recommend Ray and Tampa Bay Engine. Its one of those situations where you would not want to have to have your engine rebuilt or remanufactured but if you do, Tampa Bay Engine should be your first and only stop. I can vouch 100% for Tampa Bay Engine.K. Mallory
Called trying to chase down a wholesale parts distributor with a similar name. Rather than try to sell me or just tell me not the right place, the gentleman over the phone told me the correct name of the place I was looking for and provided the phone number! You cant teach service like that, you either have it or you dont! Makes me want to find a reason to do business with these guys in the future!
Great work in a reasonably priced
Nice guy.
