As a contractor who does a lot of outdoor projects, I cant say enough about mill outlet. Great lumber selection, prices, staff, etc. There is no reason to shop elsewhere for your outdoor lumber.

The only thing better than their quality lumber is the staff, always on point and are quick to fill an order.

Amazing wood and service. Get there early to make sure you don’t have to wait nearly as long because they are that good. The lumber is way better than anything else I have found locally.

The bioflame blocks versus the Duraflame logs, I use a Duraflame logs to light which stays lit with great flame and very good heat for up to four hours. I add the Bioflame logs to keep the heat burning and not use so many Duraflame logs which are much more expensive.I find that it may still be cheaper to burn the Duraflame logs which lasts upto four hours versus the bio flame logs which do not burn consistently, some blocks light well flame well others do not flame at all but still get hot and get some heat.I am not convinced that the bio flame logs burn well enough to keep using them they do give decent heat but if I’m going to put them in my wood-burning stove I preferred to have a flame with good here, how do you but the pint compress logs from Winco which seem to light better and also give about the same heat.

Have purchased from Mill Outlet Lumber for a number of years. No serve yourself here. You order at the office, hand your order to one of the passing forklift drivers and they bring it to you. Looking for fence boards that arent wafer thin? This is your place. A bit far from home but they make the drive worthwhile.

Awesome employees and fast service.

We but lumber there when ever we need more than a board or two. Their prices beat the big box stores by at least 20% on many types of lumber. They load it for you and if you need it will put a warning flag on lumber that sticks out the back of your truck. They are also willing to answer wood related questions and usually have good suggestions.

Overall great experience at mill lumber outlet today. Ordered over the phone with a nice woman who helped me find what I need and a friendly forklift driver when I picked up the wood too.

Zero Stars (a big disappointment) --- Went to Mill Outlet knowing exactly what I wanted. Found the right stacks. Picked through the boards, rejecting about 1/3 & keeping around 2/3. Went to the office and paid. Loaded the kept boards onto my truck and was confronted by a yard man, You cant pick and load your material. Only we can do that. I showed him my receipt, told him it was all paid for and that he could inspect the material to confirm that. No, you cant pick your own boards and load them. Thats our job. Either wait for a yard man to help you or return the boards for a refund. I replied, Im not going to let someone else choose what I spend my money on, returned the boards, and got a refund. Bottom line: I would have had to have overbought by approx. 50% the materials I needed. By doing so, buying them at Mill Outlet would have cost me more than at my local lumber store, where I can select exactly what I want (and furthermore, theyre pleasant about it).

The guys who run the yard are awesome! They get things done. They’re quick af and helpful. The first time we came here we were a little confused how things work, but we figured it out (order from the office, then hand your receipt to the yard guys and they will pick and load your lumber for you). I hope they pay the yard guys well because they are great at their jobs.We will definitely be back.

Picked up some tacoma firelogs for a very good price here. All the workers are attentive and helpful so I was in and out in less than 10 minutes.

Every person here has been extremely helpful and friendly. They listened to my ideas helped me problem solve and found the picked the perfect lumber for the job. About 8 months after my first visit I went back for more and the boss remembered exactly what I had purchased the first time and got me more. That right there is what its all about. I drive from gig harbor to them for all my projects now for about the last 4 years.

We spent over $4,000 on cedar for a split rail and privacy fence. We stained all boards by hand and as expected we had many warped posts and slats. When we went to exchange boards as promised we were charged an $89.00 restock fee which was not discussed by the kind gentlemen who sold us the material. We come from North Bend and made several trips to fix shady material. I caution everyone when buying from this “mill”. I will send photos to anyone who is curious or cautious. Pay the extra $ and avoid at all costs.

I went to the mill outlet to buy Tacoma firelogs in case we lost our power during snow storm. They were super friendly & helpful in the office. I gave my slip to a yard worker who brought my boxes of logs to the trunk of my car. Very efficient I was very pleased with the service I received. I recommend this business.

The staff is knowledgeable friendly the yard is efficient I mean what else can you say these guys are the tops.

Have purchased from Mill Outlet several times and never had a caring feeling from staff. This business is about moving product, can be helpful but once you purchase a product you can not return without staff making you feel like youre causing them a major headache. The wood is decent quality and the prices are fair, but again, it is an uncomfortable business model...the company does not seem to care about you being satisfied with their products. Will not be going back, just too uncomfortable with their system.

I picked up cedar fencing panels and post-caps.... they were very informative, helpful, and kind. They were all happy to greet and call co-workers over to view and say hello to my little puppy-- dog fans! They loaded and secured my load nicely and it couldnt have gone better.

Mill Outlet is a great place to buy cedar for decking, fencing etc. Its a busy place too. You drive in, dodging trucks and trailers, find a parking spot. The staff are helpful and make it easy. Theyre friendly to women which is a real plus.

I love this place. They have a great selection of products for any of your outdoor yard projects. They have yellow cedar and pressure treated items to withstand the elements a lot better, and they have them in sizes youd never find elsewhere (and if theyre not in stock they can always order them.) Try finding a 6x4x24 somewhere else . . .The load out process is as slick as it can be with really earnest guys zooming back and forth on their fork lifts but you might spend the longest part of your time there waiting for one of the guys to come and get your slip so he can drive off to get it from deep in the yard, but its never such a long wait that I wouldnt recommend Mill Outlet Lumber. This is a great place to come and see what options you have with sizes you perhaps never knew existed.

Great prices but beware. paid for 3x1 8 foot clear cedar. Emailed me that my order was ready. Arrived to find out that they switch my order to more square feet of lumber and the pieces were split and cracked. One piece actually looked like it was routed on one edge. Returned order. Just beware that the sign in the yard reads no picking thru lumber. Big issue if you are purchasing a large amount.

Terrible I got there 30 minutes before closing picked my lumber got to the office about 10 minutes after they closed and they kicked me out told me there are closed and they wont take my money and I have to come back tomorrow 7 a.m. to get my lumber. I guess they dont need more customers.

Staff working inside are rude and dont want to explain anything... Especially the lady.... I bought some plywood and other thungs but plywood was my concern.. 2 pieces were 4 inches short and no sorting allowed so you get what you get, outta the few pieces that I got not a single one was with no damage or defect of some sort, the only good thing there is their fork lift drivers those guys are helpful nice and freindly and want customers to leave happy👌💯

Ive built 700 ft. of cedar fence, sourcing all of my lumber from Mill Outlet. The pre-fabricated 6 X 8 fence sections save a lot of time and money! At $50 each section, theyre unbeatable. The boards are quality. Cheaper then Lowes or Home Depot, with much friendlier staff. The forklifts are flying around, like girls at a Roller Derby. I like to put in my order by phone, and show up to pay, and pass my P.O. to the forklift operator to pull it.The order arrived within a few minutes and I can hit the road with my completed order. There is a scrap bin just outside the exit, which I have found some really nice pallets, to repurpose on DIY projects back home. Ive even gotten some really nice tarps, to cover my lumber at home.I have recommended M.O.L. to a lot of people. I still generally purchase my cement at a box store, where I can get a volume discount. Ive even turned people on from the box stores, when I see them compiling a fence build to the savings theyd recieve just driving across town! Since every else for the job, is available for the best rates in one convenient location!

False advertising and strong arm tactics to over pay. They post #2 w/h 6 cedar fence board for $1.50. Great price. If it were true. First, a #2 grade board can have knots in it, but no holes. Ok, so maybe its not quite a 2, but its certainly not a 3. Wrong again! I asked the counter person for 160 of them and she asked if I understood that all boards will have holes, some may be broken, some may be split, some may have rot, AND....there is no picking through and no returns. I asked if I could look at them which she allowed. What do I find, boards with rot, broken and split boards, along with a termite infestation. Of course the lady in the office said they were white ants because termites dont exist in this state! The lot attendant told me that usually about 40% of a truck load is junk. The salesmen (whom helped me before and was awesome) decided he needed to butt in and explain to me that the pile of rotting, infested fence boards are graded as a #2 w/h (with holes meaning holes, rot, bugs, and chunks missing). By the way, the grade marked on the lumber package was #4 which was graded by the saw mill that supplied the wood. Oh yeah, the big salesboy said if I didnt like it that the gate out is right over there. Grays and Pinnacle lumber both sell a #2 grade board for a fair price with no holes, no rot, no chewed up ends, and no bugs. And it looks better than Mills #1 which is more. I was treated as if was stupid. I guess since I only build things with wood and I dont sell it that I know nothing. There to save the day again, thats right. big salesboy. He suggested that I get a grading book. How nice.
