This is a fabulous company. Besides General engine work and annual services, they completely remodeled my 1983 Nordic tug into a brand new looking boat. This included complete painting from hull to the entire outsides; they replaced the older lights everywhere with LED fixtures; replaced the entire ceiling materials; refinished all countertop surfaces from the kitchen to the bathroom with corian materials; installed a bow thruster; created a large fiberglass hardtop over my back seating area; etc, etc. The employees (Scott and Kerry) were awesome, professional, and caring about my exacting requests. Darren, President of Modutech, was likewise fantastic with taking care of me and my boat. These people really know the boating requirements and are excellent choices for your work.

Terrible experience. Very unprofessional and not motivated to get the work done. They have no pride in their work or their reputation. When the diver told us in February that we needed new bottom paint we took it to Modutech and asked also for some cables and seals to be replaced. We were told it would take about a week. It got very cold and snowed. We can understand a delay due to the weather. Three and a half months later they informed us they had just ordered parts. Only the paint was done. They did the seals then informed us they either couldn’t or wouldn’t replace the cables because they were “hard to get to.” They didn’t charge us for the paint but did replace our brand new zincs and charged us for them. They didn’t update us at all or answer phone calls. When we picked it up they couldn’t find our keys for ten minutes. Then when my husband took the boat they couldn’t even walk down and help him untie. Poor business. We will never be back and will share our experience with our yacht club and boating friends.

Great boat shop. Friendly and helpful staff. Years of knowledge and advice, all in one spot. I wouldnt trust my boat with anyone else!

Bottom paint package was a good deal. The boat wasnt finished when promised. They found some spots that needed to be fixed and I was thankful they got that done.

Big boat!

Well its a really messed up situation down there, Darrin is a great guy and so is his father and Elaine great people. I dont know about Brian tho, he is bipolar or something, I worked for him for 6 and half years,seen Brian order people to do some unethical practices on boats, basically he Is the bad seed In that family... all he worried.about Ihis putting money in his pocket, 1 worried about the safety of the customers or especially his workers,I left my personal rollaway box there for just the weekend and one of his personal pets try breaking into my rollway. As you can see the extensive damage. Nothing was done to fix it . My suggestion. Is stay away fom Brian.and deal.with.Darrin....

Negative star rating, Avoid this boat yard! The workmanship is substandard! Low quality products (especially bottom paint). They dont stand behind their workmanship! Within two months of my boat being bottom painted I had discoloration and deterioration of the new bottom paint. Modutech did not use the requested paint nor did they prep the boat right. They attempted to charge for new zincs when the existing ones were still on! Needless to say we will never use them again.
