Nice clean store near N. Mary and Fremont. Have most importantly Italian flour, double zero. I wanted to make Italian pizza and you need double zero flour. Also have Bel Gioioso Mozzarella cheese, one of the best tasting mozzarella cheeses in America.Lots of Parking and close to Walgreens.

Best place to buy thick cut bacon- we recommend the pepper bacon. We also love the Italian seasoned, aged rib eye Piedmontese steak. It’s a tender flavorful but lean cut.

A neighborhood grocer still standing. Sandwiches are superb. Fresh bread, choice cold cut, you name it. Its a place to visit.

I got the worst customer service ever the guy that was putting away the salmon because I arrived at 7:15pm I was rushed. I asked the guy that puts the restock orders at the salmon counter for canned or jar herring he said he has never seen any plus he asked how often I buy it I told him my wife buys it all the time so he said he never seen it.. I went area where the sardines are and there it was so I went back to let the rude know where it was he said he didnt care how old I was and he wanted to argue so I got outta there Ill never return.

I started coming to Zanotto’s because of the sandwiches, but I keep coming back because of the people who work here. Theyre pretty much always friendly and helpful, and in the middle of sheltering-in-place, Ive come to appreciate that weekly-ish dose of social interaction more than ever. Admittedly the prices are higher and the selection is smaller than some other grocery stores, but for me its worth it.

Lots of specialty products for Italian/european cuisine. I always come here to get some Gnocchi or other fresh pasta.

This is a great family owned grocery store, deli and more. They have great dad who he’s for a great spot to stop for lunch and eat outside on the tables. They are also very sanitary right now where you have to put on had sanitizer before going in and have a line to get in which I appreciate. Also if you are on the road, it is right off the freeway so it is easy to get to. The deli is also has a list of things to specialize it and they make it for you fresh.

Let me start by saying that Zanottos is a wonderful neighborhood market and the butcher shop has the best meats. They also carry Olsons cherry pies which arent easy to find.We ordered the Turkey in the bag for Thanksgiving which was really good (better than Dragers) and so were the creamy mashed potatoes and also the traditional sage dressing. I can only give four stars because the turkey gravy was really bad. It looked like brown water and didnt have any taste. We had to throw away a container and a half but luckily with the turkey drippings my wife was able to make homemade gravy which saved the day.

We rely on Zanottos for things we cannot get elsewhere including Mariannes of Santa Cruz ice cream, smoked salmon, their salads and their meat department. Also, in this lockdown time, they tend to be less crowded than the alternatives.

Always finest quality fresh foods, produce, meats and seafood. The store is always clean and service is friendly. We appreciate the extra steps Zannotos has taken to ensure our communities safety and well being during this challenging pandemic. I feel safe shopping here!

Zanotto’s has always kept sparking clean and maintained easy checkout, no need to wait in line which is more comfortable and safer while social distancing is in place. Food quality is no doubt top rated. One cashier told me the day before that they will no longer use customers’ own bag, the cashier will do the bagging for us using store bag, which I think is another great considerations for virus infectious precaution. I’d highly recommend Zanotto’s to everyone. Keep up the good work, I will always support this neighborhood supermarket.

Still family run, even at this new location. Great meat counter and deli. Veggies are high quality, but with a price to match. Large wine and beer selection. We live their tri-tips. If you go for a marinated one (do!), We think the black one (secret sauce) is the best

This is a small market so it wont have everything you can find at Safeway and Luckys but the produce, meat and deli depts cant be beat. The staff are wonderful and very helpful and their Covid precautions are the best of any retail store in the bay area.

I enjoy shopping at Zanottos. A clean, well organized store. Prices a bit high, but the products are very good. We love the salad bar and the fresh made salads, especially the Three Beans Salad.

Similar to Traitor Joes, however the meat department is AMAZING! Butcher on call to assist your needs/wants. Just go see. The meat is way better then the grocery store.

Favorite place to shop. I go almost every day to get fresh veggies and meat on my way home from work. The wine guy is so helpful with pairing wine with a meal or making a recommendation. The lady who works in the cheese area is the best. She will let you know what is fresh and helps with a cracker pairing.

Been here several times and appreciate its quality. Not too pricey but still carefully stocked. Nice medium size market with good fruits, veggies. Opposite the crazy Costco shopping trip. Got some good wines on sale just for fun. Parking is easy. Recommend.

June2020: This locally owned grocery store has been an incredible resource during really devastating times (Spring20/covid pandemic)... Their customer service is true and heartfelt - to the community as well as the individual shopper. The butcher department has great variety and high quality all through... the deli produces some of the best tasting and freshly prepared picnic supplies (albeit picnicking at home;) and the produce aisle rivals the best farmers markets and grocers/markets. Their shelves, too, have variety and hard to find cooks favorites... and yes, the music playing overhead always makes me happy!2017- 3 years ago: So happy to have them in our neck of the woods... still a bit of a hike for me, ... well worth a detour!! Fresh, gorgeous produce, beautiful fish and meats, and great dairy. Love all their staff - so gracious and helpful.

Favorite neighborhood market.

Ten years ago I lived near the Zanottos in the Rose Garden of San Jose, which I thought was a great grocery store. As a result, I was pleased to see they were opening a Sunnyvale store. When they first opened the Sunnyvale store I was disappointed with the store, particularly the meat department. As a result, it is only recently Ive come back. The Sunnyvale store is now much improved. What would get me to five stars is expanding and upgrading the produce department.

Great market! So happy to have one in Sunnyvale. Best meat market and deli I know of. If I have a special meal to prepare, this is where I come for the meet. And their deli sandwiches and salads are really, really good.

Many choices of freshly prepared entrees, including high quality Italian dishes, sandwiches, burritos, as well as staples such as fresh vegetables, meant, fish, and poultry all high quality and at competitive prices. Its like the Whole Foods you never heard of. Some of the generic items are pricey, but head to the produce section as you enter, or back right for the meat and freshly prepared dishes-- those are Zanottos specialties. Also a fantastic selection of craft beer and wine.

So happy to find Branston Pickle here, plus Smarties much cheaper than Cost Plus or Rocket Fizz. Clean bathrooms, friendly employees and great samples.

This is your old time local grocery. High service, high quality, high selection, and usually high prices too. Don’t those all go together? I don’t do all my shopping here, but I get my extras - a special ingredient for a recipe, something I couldn’t find somewhere else, last minute forgotten ingredient, etc. They are super helpful and accommodating.The deli makes great sandwiches. They can be shared or saved for later. Pre made croutons are indulgent and delicious. They are on the salad bar and can be bought standalone. Soup is a nice option. They usually have four to pick from. Great drink selection - both alcoholic and non alcoholic.

Its a small, neighborhood grocery store. Good service, helpful staff, generally high quality foods. Butcher department happy to prepare meats that arent in stock on the display case, for example preparing burgers or cutting additional thighs with the skin and bone. Selection limited by size, but good for most of our shopping trip.

The employees are absolutely top notch. The produce is super fresh with a good selection. The grocery items are varied and well chosen. Requests to bring items in are taken seriously and followed up on. The meat is fantastic, some of the better steaks Ive had came from there. Love coming here for lunch and getting a sandwich from the deli to take to the park for a picnic. They also have a lot of chip and drink options. Groceries here are a little bit expensive so I wouldnt recommend buying all your groceries here. Would definitely recommend the deli though.

Ive been to the other zanottos market on naglee, they are all great, however this one has the deli section right at entrance and seems maybe wider, all in all, super nice store and even better prepared foods.

A nice little grocery store. They have a wide meat, seafood and deli style counter. Often has cheese samples and dip or chip samples. Many unique products, and a nicely adequate produce section. Super friendly staff at the checkout lanes.

Ive been frequenting the Zanottos in San Jose, so I was very happy to see Zanottos open in Sunnyvale. I come here for their wine sales and their deli and butcher. They have some nice stuff, if youre willing to pay extra for it.

Great selections, but overpriced. They have really great prepared food, but the desserts are all priced at least a dollar too high. Also, I never feel welcome in the store for the most part.One major disappointment, I fell in love with Zanottos and their prime rib sandwich at the downtown SJ store. I havent ever been able to get the sandwich made correctly at Sunnyvale location.

Ordered a panini sandwich but needed to return other half to be reheated. Waited 6 minutes for original sandwich to be heated but cheese was not melted and meat was still cold. Srco d half wad cooked perfectly.My daughter ordered a hot chocolate and it was made incorrectly, she works for a cafe and has been trained of the proper use of an espresso machine.Otherwise the store is beautiful and the groceries are of high quality and very fresh, we plan to visit again soon.
