Terrible experience. Incompetent service technicians, poor customer service (good luck getting anyone to acknowledge you at the service center).I brought my work truck in for multiple repairs, which totaled $5,300. I could write a lengthy review, but Ill keep it somewhat short. One of the services I had done was new shocks all around, which necessitated an alignment. My steering wheel was perfectly aligned when I brought the truck in. Theyve now attempted an alignment three times, and its still crooked when driving straight. After the third attempt at an alignment, I was given the BS line its well within spec. I beg to differ. Ford would never sell a vehicle with a crooked wheel, claiming it is within spec. The pictures speak for themselves. With all the extra hassle I wont even get into, they offered nothing for my inconvenience, and my truck still isnt right.Stay away!
Our brand new Transit with 3k miles on the odo was exhibiting an intermittent instrument cluster issue. The instrument cluster would flash various error messages, lose power, then reboot while we were driving the vehicle. This meant we could not see vehicle speed, engine temp, etc while we were driving the vehicle, sometimes for several minutes at a time. Additionally this would cause the cruise control to self-cancel, meaning the vehicle would unexpectedly slow down on the highway if cruise control was active.Service manager Larry Meola was completely unwilling to assist in diagnosing or repairing this issue. The reasoning he provided was as follows: A) He cannot authorize a repair order unless the issue is replicated by the dealer, but B) he is unwilling to send his techs out to put miles on the vehicle in order to try to replicate the issue. So where does that leave me? After weeks of following up via phone and email, I have not heard a peep from him.Eventually I gave up and took my vehicle to Frontier Ford, where they put in the time and effort to replicate the issue, diagnose the problem, and find/implement a solution. Frontier Ford is several miles farther from my house, but I will be going there from now on.
Marcus was excellent during my recent service. He kept me in the loop while diagnosing the problem with my vehicle and went above and beyond to get it back to me as fast as possible. The service department has done a good job with their COVID mitigation procedures as well.
Service department is unresponsive. I called and left a service request on message on multiple occasions, and did not have a single courtesy call back.
Lousy service. Waiting for my vehicle for an oil change for 2 hours when I had an appointment. Will never come here again.
I am a huge fan of the Sunnyvale Ford service department. They get you in and out quickly, provide solid advice, and will go the extra mile.
9/1/20 Update: received a call yesterday when my cc company started to investigate. Got van back in this morning and technician returned quickly. They found the cap in the engine compartment. performed TPMS reset, topped off coolant. So far so good. Just wish this would have been completed 5 weeks ago.Absolutely the worst. Brought Ford Transit 350 in for The Works which included oil change and tire rotation which is something that I wanted to do before starting a roadtrip. Mileage at ~20k. Wait was about 2 hours. All good. After 4 hours of driving, the change oil light comes on. Another 2 hours later and the low tire pressure comes on. They forgot to reset the service interval and also forgot to reset the tire pressure monitor after rotating the tires. Dealing with these messages on my roadtrip, i come to find out that the technician must have removed the radiator fill cap and never put it back on and is lost. Figured they will deal with it after i get back. 3 calls leaving voicemaills for their service, including the service advisor, chat message and nobody seems to want to return the call. Contacted credit card company and filing BBB report.
AMAZING experience! Very professional, and beyond friendly! Will never go to another Ford dealership EVER
As usual the service team at Sunnyvale Ford is the best. Fast, courteous and thorough. Thanks!
Love the friendly atmosphere...service is great ..
Love our service guy. Very clean!
I came to Sunnyvale Ford Service, after requesting an appointment for a recall on my 2012 Ford Focus. I had received a letter from Ford Motor Company telling me that I have a NHTSA Recall 18V-735. When I came by one of the people in charge told me they should have it done by the end of the day. However when I came to pick up my vehicle nothing had been done to fix my vehicle. I had called back the next day, and the customer service representative had told me that Ford Motor Company sends those letters to everybody. Yet, I called another Ford Service Center in Santa Clara and they fixed the issue. I will never go to Sunnyvale Ford Service again.
Exactly what you want when getting your car serviced: Friendly, efficient, competent, and timely. Well done.
Would have like to see all staff wearing masks, janitor was cleaning with no mask and quit a few mechanic had no masks on!
The difference between an Audi dealer ship and a Ford dealership is night and day. Well see how the services go.
Overall:Fast and Friendly service. Service Manager Anderson really helped us out, we were in and out in less then an hour for a dead battery change on a 2014 2.0 L Ford Escape AWD Titainium. The staff is really friendly all smiles, and helped us get situated in their very nice waiting area. The Sunnyvale Dealership and Service Area is very clean and well maintained. Service Manager Anderson is very knowledgeable and knows these Fords very well, he recognized the problem and efficiently took care of us. We were happy to get very reasonable quote. If you want to Save Money and Save Time, give Anderson a call.
On time...no problems whatsoever... courteous
This review is for the Service Department. I had no interaction with the sales department so cannot speak to that. I brought my truck in on August 8th with a long list of items I wanted them to fix including electrical items, brakes, and headlight alignment. My truck is an old 1968 F350 that has only 22,000 original miles on it. After more than a month, multiple emails requesting an update, and basically no actual work being done on the truck, I picked it up today (September 12th). They charged me $861 for fixing NOTHING. They said they were too busy to actually work on the truck, and what little time they spent on it was just to try to find sources for the parts they figured they might need. The mechanic I talked with said that I should probably take the truck to a place that would have the time to work on it since almost all their time was being spent on processing recalls for defective newer vehicles. NOT a resounding endorsement of the quality of their newer vehicles. The mechanic said that their shop rate of more than $200 per hour was not competitive with what other independent shops around the area could do. The list of parts they recommended replacing clearly showed that they did not actually do much trouble shooting. For example, they recommended replacing the voltage regulator, the alternator, and the wiring harness when if they had actually done any troubleshooting they would have been able to determine that only ONE of those items needed replacement. Parts replacers who take the shotgun approach to car repairs are a dime a dozen. Mechanics who can troubleshoot and fix/replace broken items require more skill. Clearly Sunnyvale Ford lacks the time, skill, and interest in actually troubleshooting problems and then fixing them.
Nice staffs
Fast guys.
