An old car of ours starting vibrating at speed. Brought it in for an inspection and got a wonderful report showing the items that should be fixed right away and a list of things that needed to be fixed soon. Each item had an attached photo of the issue. Very clear and easy to understand. Prices are reasonable and people are friendly. This was our first time using them but will continue to do so in the future. Like a good restaurant they are busy for a reason!

Stopped by to have my car fixed… ended up being a really blockhead issue that had an easy fix. Moe didn’t charge me, even though he spent some time diagnosing my car, stand up guy and stand up business.Will definitely go next time I have an actual problem with my car :)

They were honest, up front, and stuck to their word on the timeline, which I thought was going to be tough since I was in a crunch for time. I always support family owned businesses and this definitely made me feel like family. I used De Anza repair for an emergency but will definitely be going back for general maintenance in the future.

Going in for a 2nd time because I hit a curb and just to be safe, decided Im going to replace the tires and get the wheel fixed. Im sure this visit will be just as good as the last. I usually do the work myself but since meeting MO I now let him take care of it all.He is very transparent and got the job done quickly.On my truck he replaced, both front wheel bearings, and upper ball joints, replaced dust seals, did a full in depth inspection of the vehicle, tightened my belts replaced some fluids and did a road test.I would 100% take my car back and plan on it.If you need something done on your car, I would stop by this place first and they are reasonably priced and get the job done quick..There is a reason they are packed!Thanks again MO, see you soon!!

I came here with the goal of bringing my car back to tip top shape and De Anza Auto Repair delivered.They have very great customer service communicating options and expectations.They send you a link with pictures and notes on what needs to be fixed. They called after to talk through the estimates. That part was real cool.I left my car there for a week and they called me to let me know of any updates or decisions that I needed to make. I felt informed to make a good decision.Fun story: After picking up the car and driving it a bit. I started getting this noise in the car. I called and drove back to the shop. You can tell when a good team mobilizes. My starter on my 2005 Honda Pilot stopped working. De Anza Auto Repair sent me a detailed comprehensive inspection report on my car. I had the starter/solenoid and a leaky radiator replaced. They completed the job on-time. I am a happy customer.

I took in my Tahoe to De Anza Auto because it needed new brakes and tires, steering felt loose and AC stopped working. I spoke with Mo the owner and he was very professional, honest and gave me clear expectations for when the repairs will be finished. Few days later and on schedule, I pick up my Tahoe and was very pleased with the work performed. All the repairs were done and the cost was very reasonable. I highly recommend these guys for their professional and quality service.

I have been used this shop when they were in DeAnza. The main reason I used this job because Mo is trustworthy and knowledgeable. Sometime he gave me 10% discount depending on the cost.After 2 weeks the engine cover from the top fell out. I came back to him and he put it back securely without a charge

Being new to the area and searching for an honest auto mechanic for some time now, Im so glad I found Mo! Unlike a few other places I took my car to first, he gave me an honest assessment of a dashboard vibration issue I was having with my Honda, and spoke to me like an educated customer (unlike the others who assume youre naive and try to take advantage of you). Mo and April have been more than helpful! This shop has been my go to shop in the bay. Everyone at the shop is friendly and are straight to the point. Anything you need at this shop they got it and get their stuff taken care of quick! They have done everything from a window and headlight assembly replacement to inspecting a vehicle I wanted to purchase to cost effective oil leak repairs. We came in to get our backup camera repaired as well as get the cars battery diagnosed New Year’s Eve. Moe & April were very knowledgeable & friendly. They were able to find the issue with the backup camera in just a few minutes. There were a few spliced wires in the trunk harness causing the backup camera to not display on the radio unit screen. He was able to solder the wires together & test them. And sure enough the backup camera was alive again.I also asked if they would do a diagnostic on my car battery as it was dying repeatedly week to week. Most likely due to my dash camera being hardwired. My car battery wasn’t able to hold a charge well, and was around 5 years old so they swapped it for a new battery and my car has been running smooth ever since!Such a great experience in such a distressing time. Thank you De Anza Auto!!

I needed some electrical help on my classic MG T-Type kit car and was recommended to come here by a good friend. She told me Mos team are really good at their work and helpful. When I came today they did exactly that, it was the end of the week, Mo took at the look at the job and said no problem we can take care of right now if youd like. I got to see the guys work, saw Mo use a solenoid to fix it quickly, and make sure all of the electrical issues were taken care of. 2 hours of work, some funny jokes, and was taken care of - I will definitely go back and highly recommend!!!

Also: Coolant Flush and coolant hose replacementThe service was perfect at a good price (I shopped around). I went back a month later due to a small coolant leak and they quickly replaced another hose clamp with no notice and checked system again, all for no charge. No more leak. IMO COVID safety protocols should be improved but if you need to get close, they will wear a mask if you ask them.

I brought in my Suburban to get a lift and tires installed and fix the AC unit before going on a road trip. I spoke with Mo, the owner and he was very friendly and assured me my truck would be ready in time for my trip. Few days later, I get back my truck and I was very pleased with the work done and the pricing was very reasonable. Best part was that I did not have to delay my trip.

Was able to relocate the new place luckily to the banner they posted on their old shop. I brought in my new Subaru for an oil change as I wasn’t interested in the package from dealership. Mo’s mechanic mentioned my struts were leaking and suggested I let Subaru know since I’m under warranty. They even let me in the back to take photos for my documentation and proof to Subaru.Overall fairly quick and honest as they’ve always been to me in the past. I appreciate being able to come in to get what I need done and on with my day. They always give me an update on how my car is doing, which is usually good news.

They really helped me out. I was in a tough spot trying to find a place to get my van checked to see why it would not start after being at rest for couple of days. They were kind to me and very professional. Luckily they got a diagnosis and were able to fix it by the next day. Came in for a brake pad replacement and it was done well and definitely lower cost compared to other auto shops. Manager Mo wasnt the friendliest -- I decided to wait at the shop and wanted to watch the brake pad replacement being performed out of curiosity and he told me that Im not allowed to be near my vehicle during the work and acted as if he was doing me a favor by even letting me get a glimpse of the job being done, saying classes arent free. Strange. Would be 5 stars for the low cost, promptness and quality of work but the manager was generally rude so I will not be going back.

My engine light and warning lights came on one day so I look up places near my work and found De Anza! They were really transparent with everything and very friendly. My car ended up having various problems, but they were able to get everything fixed in a timely manner and offered to give me a loaner car while mine was in the shop. My car runs great now - highly recommend!

I found my new auto shop. The guys were great, joking and laughing the entire time. I came in with an interesting request where I had been working on a car’s suspension myself and had the replacement part ready to go but the old part broke during the removal process and required a grinder to cut it free. Because I was doing this repair outside of a garage, I realized I needed to take it to a shop so they could cut off the old part and while they are at it just throw in my new part. I was on a tight time crunch and I brought it to these guys who had no problem with my request using my own parts and quoted me a fair price. They were friendly throughout the process and got the entire thing done in just a few hours from drop off to pick up.

I got a flat tire near the shop and stopped the car in their parking lot. I tried to ask if they can install the backup wheel for me. It was late and they were almost closing, but the owner is very friendly and asked her stuff installed the backup wheel for me. They installed the wheel quickly and gave me a few safety suggestions to drive home with the backup tire.I expect the owner would charge for some money but she said she did that for free. I really appreciate their help.

Moe genuinely seemed to care about me as a customer and took good care of my vehicle. My van was old and Rusty and the parts were seemingly fallinn off of it. He seemed to keep a good balance of taking initiative on repairs but also keeping in the loop and playing repairs and thinns that came up along the way. He was very fair when it came to pricing but the quality of work really shines.

I often get minor service for free and Ive never had any problems with them.My catalytic converter started failing just yesterday and threw the check engine light. They quoted me about $1000 which is well under the estimated cost to replace. The mechanic knows Im ready to trade in my 2007 Sentra so hes offering a quick fix to reset the light and keep me going until I do my trade. That along with topping my oil and he said hes only charging me for the diagnostic. I truly appreciate coming here!

This place was absolutely excellent! A gentleman named Mo could not have been more pleasant, understanding, and kind. I brought in a car that was almost totaled and he and his team, to my amazement, resurrected it at an extremely reasonable price, saving me thousands of dollars. I’ve been going to De Anza Auto Repair for years now. They’ve always done excellent work on my family’s vehicles and even fixed a few of mine after I screwed it up trying to fix them myself. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I needed to replace a dead battery on my Prius V. Mo and Elias were extremely professional, efficient and friendly! I had a new battery installed in an hour. It was such a refreshing experience to find a reliable and trustworthy auto repair shop. I would highly recommend De Anza Auto Repair to all!

Before embarking on a 1,000+ mile road trip, I wanted to make sure that my car got the necessary servicing and safety checks that would make this as smooth as possible. This is not the location that I will go to again, nor encourage friends and family to visit. After having them assess and provide an estimate for all of my repairs, it resulted in $3,700 vital repairs and another $500 in recommended repairs, totaling $4,200. I have a 2012 car; I honestly budgeted for a maximum of $1,000 including labor and tax. I then took my car to another auto shop (Handyman Auto Repair with Dai), because he literally laughed at the estimate I was given as I was reading the vital repairs and asking for alternative estimates. Dai walked me through all the repairs that De Anza Auto Repair had given me and showed me how they were perfectly fine. All that was actually needed was a front brake replacement. This went from a $3,700+ repair to a $400 repair. I am so disgusted with how taken advantage I was at De Anza Auto Repair.

I have a 2011 BMW 335is. As you might figure, BMW likes to charge an arm and a leg for ANYTHING ($200 for an oil change 🙄). I’ve been coming to Mo at De Anza for a while now. He’s always been super helpful whether it has been in person or over the phone. He helped me figure out a complex electrical issue with my 335is, that even BMW was scratching their head about, and did everything possible to fix the problem before having to spend any money. I have been working on cars since I was 14, but don’t care to do my own routine maintenance on my daily driven car anymore. I also admit I still struggle with electrical issues. There is nowhere else in the Sunnyvale area I would take my car.

I always bring my cars here, they don’t try to overcharge and even let me run to the store to buy the parts I wanted instead of only using the overpriced mopar parts, saving me hundreds on a brake job.

Just had the worst experience ever at this repair shop. So if you want to skip the review and go straight to my verdict, here it is: The manager is extremely rude, arrogant and does not keep his word on delivery ETAs.I hope that people read the whole story and support me in boycotting this repair shop.Here’s the long version:So basically, I had a damaged wheel and tire on my car due to accidentally driving it onto the curb on a rainy day.The owner of this place quoted a steep price (atleast 250 for the tire and about 350 for repairing the wheel). He said there would be no other charges, no labor charges even. He was all sweet words and promises and told us that he would get the new tire within 3 days.However, a few days later, we got a call from the manager saying that the tire would now cost 363... this was much more than what we expected, but considering that we wanted the exact same tire and wanted to avoid the hassle of going elsewhere for a replacement, we reluctantly agreed. When we checked with him after a couple more days, he said that the tire was not yet delivered and he would need 2 more days. That was the start of an agonizing wait. For the next 2 days we called him and he kept on delaying the ETA on the tire delivery. Finally, after a week, he said that the tire he ordered had been delivered, but it was the wrong one, so we again waited for another day.Finally, after 10 days from our initial interaction, he called us to say that it was ready, (phew) so I left work early to get the tire replacement done.I don’t recollect the name of the person who actually replaced the tire, but after fixing the tire, the vehicle still didn’t read off the tire sensor (so basically my car would show no information for the new tire and showed me a warning) but he assured me that after driving a few miles, the warning would go away. He even told me that if it didn’t go away after a few miles, to return and they would look at the issue at no cost.Now when I went to wrap up the payment, the real pain started. The total charges came to 800$ (including labor charges and an additional 15$ fee for replacing the tire valve). This was a total of 200$ more than his initial estimate.I asked to speak to the manager as the labor charges were pretty steep. First off, even if you don’t want to give a discount to the customer, one must have the basic courtesy to listen to them, hear them out. I calmly explained to him about the unexpected labor charges and if he could offer a discount as a gesture of goodwill. He was extremely rude and insulting to me over the phone. He actually came down to the shop to talk to me. And once he was there, I faced some more rudeness. Even though I spoke to him calmly, he raised his voice. At this point, I was a bit annoyed and told him that this was not just about money but about me returning to him as a customer. If he was going to talk to me this way, I said I had no interest in his discount or his services in the future. At which point, he totally lost his cool and said he wasn’t interested in my business. His tone and his rudeness was something I just couldn’t handle. He even told me that if the tire sensor didn’t work, he wouldn’t give any free service. He said it would cost 15$ to check the tire sensor if I wanted it checked at that point. (This was even though his colleague had already promised me that they would look into it at no cost if there any issues).At that point, I broke down, paid him the full amount and left.Forgive me for this long tirade. At the end of the day, I didn’t care about the money. A few dollars more or less wouldn’t really have made a difference to me (or to him). It was just the rude manner of speaking and the arrogance of the manager that really upset me. Customer service is an important part of any job and this shop clearly failed in this area. All I’m going to remember of this experience is how badly I was treated and how I was reduced to tears in this very shop. I vehemently disapprove of this place.

This place is exceptionally dishonest and took advantage of my lack of auto expertise. I came in because my car was making some strange noises. I explained the problem and asked them to check it out and help me fix it if possible. They called me back and told me that my belts were cracked and needed replacement. I asked them to take care of it. The next day, when the car was supposed to be ready they called me again and told me that one of the hubs was rusted through and it needed to be changed as well. At this point I was a little confused because I had the car previously inspected by them pretty recently and no problems were identified. So I asked, based on the wear in the belts, how long had they thought these belts must have been in poor condition and they said that it must have been months. The prior month they had told me nothing was wrong and now they were suggesting all new belts as well as a hub. I wanted to take the car and get it inspected by someone else but they said they could no longer put back the rusty wheel hub now that they took it off, meaning I was stuck with them.I took the repairs mentioned above in addition to some others they suggested and picked up my car the next day. They gave me the old wheel hub as well. I brought the wheel hub back to work. One of my coworkers has been doing his own car work for many years and he looked at the hub and told me the rust was just surface rust and could have been taken off. He examined it and said everything else was fine with it as well, no problems with the bearings or anything else. Very soon the car continued making the same strange noises.I also reported them to the BAR (bureau of auto repair) and he examined the hub and has yet to find any issue with it. My concern is that I had no reason to believe that the parts they suggested needed replacement and the hub confirmed that that was true with at least one part. The belts were likely fine as well. And in the end they did not solve my problem! The noise did not go away!Additionally, I had another mechanic inspect the car later and he pointed out that De Anza auto had done a careless job putting in new components in one of the rear brakes. There were missing lugnuts, misaligned parts, and possibly parts that were not designed to go in my vehicle.I finally sold the car. Before selling it I told the new owners about the noises and they had it inspected and the new mechanic suggested some relatively simple and cheap repairs that would solve the problem. I wish I had gone to almost any other mechanic, just not De Anza Auto.

Make sure you get the repair estimate before you start the job. Repair can be very expensive if you dont know what the cost is ahead of time.

Disaster service, they cheated on the price, mechanic told me they he took 30 min to do the job, but they lied and told me it took 2 hours and changed for one hour. On top of it, they broke a composite and blamed that it was broke earlier. I would give zero or negative stars if available, don’t recommend this place at all

Was charge to replace both valve cover gasket and they only replace one The Shoppes needs to be reported to the biewer of Automotive Repair
