Booked my appointment online over a week in advance. Received two emails and text message reminder. When I showed up, their records didn’t reflect my appointment so they weren’t expecting me. I was grateful they were still able to work me in though. Clearly it was a rush job, because as I was driving home, I could smell burning oil from what had been slopped on my engine. I have been a long time customer of Meineke in Sun Prairie, but this experience has me looking elsewhere for my oil changesUPDATE: I called back to have them re-check the poor quality work generating this review. They got me in the same day and cleaned up the mess. No more burning oil smell!

Will definitely be going back! These guys are professional, fast, and transparent. Pricing is really great too. I had my oil changed, new wipers, tires rotated, and coolant flushed for $250.

Always friendly but honest. Good people there who care. They don’t try to do work that isn’t necessary to inflate the cost. They even spend the time to discuss a repair that could be done and determine the value to you and whether or not it makes sense to do it or not.

After I had my brakes done, there was rattling every time I went over a bump. I took it to a local mechanic, and they said that the pins were missing the rubber padding. They fixed the rattle, and made sure I was safe to drive. Best advice, if there’s no wait to get work done, there’s a reason why. Might be another 20 years before I go back

I had an oil change yesterday and was greeted by no one. After some time a man appeared from a back room and said “can I help you?” I let him know I was there for my oil change. He asked me if I wanted my tires rotated and I said only if it was included, he said no it’s not. (Which isn’t a big deal but his attitude was short, dry and not welcoming) I asked to have the spare tire on my jeep checked and filled with air because the sensor was going off on my dashboard that my spare needed more air, he replied he would do it. I asked what time he closed and they said six, so I said I’ll be back at six. He said no you’ll be back at 5:45 because we close at six. Again, very sharp with his demeanor and almost agitated with me already. When I came back at 5:45 to pick up my vehicle it was waiting for me outside. I walked in the store and he was ready to cash me out promptly. He never mentioned anything about the tire in the back so I asked “was everything OK with the tire in the back?” He replied with there’s a tire cover on your spare tire and we didn’t want to rip it so we didn’t remove it and fill the tire. He wasn’t going to tell me unless I asked this question. At this point I needed to know gentleman’s name, his name is Andrew and the worst service provider I’ve ever received in my life. I said it’s 545 I don’t mind waiting since you close at 6 o’clock because I need that tire fixed. At this point Andrew got extremely hostile with me, he raised his voice and was telling me that they simply couldn’t do it because there was no one there. As I’m hearing somebody work in the other room so I knew there was at least two of them still there. Lying to my face. I repeated myself I will wait while you put air in that spare tire I need it fixed. Meanwhile, I’m thinking to myself ...if I had a man standing next to me he wouldn’t be treating me this way. He continued to raise his voice while speaking at me, made me very uncomfortable and I was wishing somebody was there to see all of this. He stormed off into the area where they fix the cars and talked to a gentleman named Bill who was nothing but helpful. I was so thankful that Bill was still there, Bill fixed my fire in 2 min. I will never be back to this location, I’ve been many times and I’ve never experienced something like this. But all the other times I have never seen Andrew before. I don’t know if he’s a new employee, but there are plenty of people unemployed that would do a much better job. The way Andrew spoke at me simply made me feel threatened.... uncomfortable doesn’t even begin to describe what I experienced. I will never be back.

I have been going here for years! I took in a car I was looking to buy to be inspected. Unfortunately the car was not worth buying but the service is always great and honest

Went in for a simple oil change, which their website says includes tire rotation, but they charged me an extra $20 for the rotation. Other than that I was happy.

Quick and professional oil change. They recommended some routine maintenance on my car and gave quotes for the work as well. They didnt charge for that work or do anything that I didnt want them to. Staff was professional, quick, and knowledgeable.

Made my exhaust sound worst than when I brought it to them, thats after charging nearly $200 to fix the leak. The courtesy inspection is not through it all. Was told that there is likely another leak. Mechanic told me that exhaust and catalytic converter are one piece on my car. Clearly they are not. They count on you to know nothing to rip you off.

A heat shield had come loose on my sisters car and I called and talked to Andrew. He was able to get her car in right away and took care of it. Thank you!

Was halfway through a trip on a Friday and suddenly battery light check engine light and over temp light came on, had truck towed to them, was initially told they were all booked up and could maybe get it looked at on Monday. They managed to sneak me in and got my vehicle repaired in a timely manner. Very professional, courteous and accommodating. Would highly recommend taking your vehicle there. Can’t thank them enough

Ive long been a customer for all of my automotive needs, and the service has always been exceptional and fairly priced. Thats why I was shocked when I stopped in just to have the tire pressure checked and was charged $10 when it has always been complimentary. It seems there have been some personnel changes at this location and some of the more customer friendly people are gone. I may be looking at other options.

The oil change deal was good and they changed the oil quickly. I like that they put on the sticker for me to change it every 4000 instead of 3000 miles. I am wondering if they are using and better quality oil and filter? They tried to up sell me into replacing my filters. I agreed to have them replace the one that is harder to get to in my car. It was more expensive then ai could have replaced it for myself. Unfortunately they did not clean up when replacing the filter and left quite a mess in my passages seat floor.

I needed a tire repair at the end of their day, I had called several other tire places and this is the only place that could get me in! Fixed my tire in no time flat! Thanks guys!

I will never ever recommend this place to anyone. I am really sad and disappointed in the service I received. This actually the first time I have ever written a review on any business. My AC was not cooling correctly so I dropped my car off today for repair. I asked if they could fix car ACs and the answer was yes. They recharged the AC but failed to tell me that there were issues with the AC itself and that recharging the AC was not going to fix the cooling problem. I noticed this issue right away when I was leaving the parking lot. I gave the car some driving time to cool down but it didn’t. At that point I called the shop and they said to bring the car back in and they would take another look. They took the car back in and said the AC was working, but then told me there were further issues with the AC itself and that I needed to go to dealership for repair. When I questioned him more, he said “I had asked to have the AC recharged and that’s what they did”, but that was not true. I had asked when I called if they could fix my AC and not just recharge it. So now I’ve paid over $160 dollars for an AC that only needed 20% recharging and I STILL need to take my car for more repairs. Why was I not told this in beginning? If they didn’t understand what I needed, they should have asked me or told me the services they had available. I feel very taken advantage of and I don’t want this to happen to anyone else.

People were very nice but pricing is deceptive. Oil change does not include labor!? Discount coupon covers that but it’s still $10 too high compared to another local shop. Also recommended $972 brake repairs. Local shop will do for $230 less. They are just not worth the money. Check prices before you agree to anything.

Brought my car in for Front brake pads and tire rotation. Price for rotations were cheap, and the work was completed relatively quickly. Once I got my bill there was an additional charge for Rear brake pads. The mechanic didn’t catch it, and once I pointed it out, refuted that it was there. Once pointed out again, the mechanic said someone else made an “oopsies” and spent an additional 20min trying to get the charge off my bill. They said they would have caught it, but I have no doubt I would have been out 50$ due to lack of competence.If you go here, check your bill thoroughly.

This Meineke shop saved my trip home. Heard a clunking that turned out to be bad wheel bearings in two tires. The damage was so bad continuing the four hours home wasnt an option. They gave me a loaner and fixed my car that day. I was very pleased.

I had a very good experience. I had a problem with my brakes, they got me in the same day, made the repairs, and I was on my way. They were very reasonable. I will definitely go back there for future service.

My family and I were on our way to Minnesota when the tires started making a really bad noise. The mechanic shop near by wouldn’t take us, but down the road at the Meinneke the people there helped us out right away! The service was prompt, they notified me of additional costs prior to execution, and had my car ready faster than originally expected. I had an issue the very next day, but they helped immediately fix the problem. Mistakes do happen, and the excellent businesses take ownership and fix them, which is exactly what happened. They seem really organized and professional. Ive only had basic oil changes/tire rotations but the car is always done quickly. Its easy to schedule online and its also easy to drop off after-hours - there are always pens and plenty of envelopes in the drop box. I havent used them yet for any major repairs but I wouldnt hesitate based on the experience Ive had so far.

I called to get my car looked at. Dropped off at 11am. They said they would look it over and give me an estimate, after I told them to go ahead they said the car would be done by 5pm they had it done by 4pm and were extremely nice and professional

Very expensive quote and the representative on the phone seemed to be indifferent on whether or not I came there.

I was in the sun prairie location about a month ago for an alignment on my trailblazer ext. Inwas told that the alignment couldnt be done cause there was other stuff wrong. I was told a suspension check needed to be done so I had them do that instead and that cost me like 80 some bucks. The told me what all needed to be fixed or replaced. I got all the parts that was stated I needed for the alignment to be done. Had them put on elsewhere. Went to get an alignment dont some where else after having what they told me was needed. Well it wasnt every thing. I still am unable to get an alignment because my shocks/struts need to be replaced. Isnt that part of the suspension. Why was I charged for a suspension check whe you guys obviously didnt do your jobs thoroughly. Will never come to this place for services again. Just glad I didnt have them do the work as well.

I have been going to the same Meineke Store in Sun Prairie, WI since 2005. The team there are fanomable, they know me by my name and treat me as family. I go there for simple things like oil changes, windshield wiper blades and recently major engine repair. I always get a fair price and great service before and after the fact. As a Marine Corps Veteran it is commendable that Meineke recognizes Veterans by offering a Military discount. Again thats off to the Meineke team.

Everyone is so friendly and helpful! No pressure to upgrade services, so when they do make a recommendation I know that my car truly needs it. Always in time and very efficient.

Was able to make an appointment online which was very convenient. Staff was just finishing up previous customer and got be in and out faster than expected.

We had to stop on our way home from vacation with an emergency as our alternator failed. We had no appointment and were barely able to make it to the shop as our vehicle was shutting down. We were serviced immediately and the issue was taken care of very efficiently! The manager made sure that we were comfortable, even getting our dog some water. The facility was very clean also. The whole experience became stress free once we arrived and the Sun Prairie Meineke team took over. Thank you!

So go in to this place because they had a coupon for cheap oil changes provided you get regular oil i go in and get my oil changed However I dont qualify for that sale as my car has to have synthetic oil as the car is too old and has too many miles for regular oil I get my oil changed talked to a different mechanic about my car and asked them if my car has to have synthetic oil or not. And they immediately said no why would your car need synthetic oil its too old for it to need that. So to recap they lied about what my car needed for it to run properly, so they could upcharge me then i found out from my dad that he had rewards dollars that they were supposed to use up first that they didnt even use any of as I brought in his car. So in my opinion even if your car were to break down in their parking lot get it towed somewhere else.

This has been my familys trusted car-care location of choice for several years. They do great work, they know their stuff and make sure youre making the right choice for your vehicle and budget. Best of all theyre honest and respectful. Several times theyve done the very inexpensive fix when they otherwise could have pulled the wool over my eyes, and a few times theyve taken care of something free of charge when they didnt need to. Plus, their reward points system is great and keeps me coming back. Highly recommend.

John is always extremely friendly and easy to work with. Considering how busy they always are, I rarely wait too long for my work to be completed. I only use them for general maintenance, but I would be comfortable using them for more complex repairs as well.

For years now, since the Sun Prairie store opened, I have had my vehicles serviced here. I had a fantastic experience at Meineke! My car was towed there and they imminently went into work to inspect the car, communicated with me every step of the way, and were understanding and accommodating to what I could offer at the moment with the amount of services needed on the vehicle. John at the front desk was incredibly professional, patient, and very lovely as he walked me through most everything, gave me every document I requested, and answered any question I threw at him. Will be back very soon!

It was quick and easy and they did a good job, however, to replace 2 headlights it cost me $173.15, $129.00 of that being labor. It took 10 minutes to change out both and I was charged for .6 hours of labor. I have the guy my keys, went out to my car, grabbed my laptop, and by the time I opened my laptop and joined their WiFi they were done. For “.6 hours” of labor, it cost $129. Its the easiest $129 they have ever made.

Spent the day getting both cars in the family taken care of. Waited but the mechaics were efficient and thoroughly explained why jobs were needed. Tire prices were competitive and they found a faulty tire sensor. Actually, enjoy going for service and will return in the future.

We were stranded in Wisconsin on our way to Arkansas (home). The first call to an auto repair shop indicated that it would be Monday before they could look at the car. Meineke said they could look at it today but we would have to get the car there somehow. At their suggestion we just drive really slowly to get there. Three hours later they had rebuild back brakes, put on new tires and new shock, and we were on the road. Professional service at every turn. Grateful.

I’m always treated well here and I always get an appointment within an appropriate time frame. I drive 40 mins one way for just an oil change.

My wife and I have been bringing our cars here for the last year or so, after having tried out a few other competing car care shops. Meineke has always had some of the lowest prices, they can almost always get me in at a time that is convenient for me, and they have never done anything but excellent work. And a shout-out to John, who is just an excellent person to work with. I very recently purchased a Dodge Charger and he has been incredibly helpful with all sorts of tips (he owns a Dodge Challenger). Also, I recently had an issue that popped up (unrelated to anything Meineke had done) right when the store was closing, and he personally stayed late to help me with it. You just dont encounter awesome people like that much anymore, and we will continue to bring our vehicles here for all of our service needs.

I am so happy with this place! I went to Toyota 2 weeks ago making sure brakes and all where fine. Come to find out I needed all new brakes and my roters shaved down. Was leaving on a trip that day and my car was making noises. Called up Meineke of SP they got me in as soon as they could and service done that day!! Needed a new battery. They got me in same evening. Went quick. Had a few cups of coffee. Went and got a 12 pack, and my vehicle was done. Good times.

Service was very good but they would not honor any prices on the Meineke website. The website says tire rotation is included in all oil changes, he said no the website is out of date. I had to pay $20 extra.

During a previous visit, they stayed open past their closing time to finish a belt repair.
