I frequent this location. I find the selection well curated but limited (except for a crazy selection of writing instruments) and the service is excellent. Its hard to get in and out of there without someone asking if you need any help and cashiers are quick to stop what they are doing and come help you. Thanks Staples.
I absolutely love coming here! Everyone is so nice and helpful! Tanisha always goes out of her way for us (and other customers) every time we are there. I cannot express my gratitude enough for her and her lovely staff. Lyndsay helped us find what we needed and ordered the items that were not in stock. She also went out of her way to make sure our order was correct. The cashier was also amazing but I dont remember his name! I will definitely be doing more of my shopping here! THANK YOU!

I went here to look for new charger for my laptop because I had lost the original one and the man who helped me (i believe his name was somewehre along the lines of Brandon-not sure but he was TALL and blonde) was SO nice. I explained to him my situation and the urgency of having a charger for my laptop and he definitely saved the day and got me what I needed! 5 stars for sure on the employee.
I have visited Sumter store as was looking for a printer...Jonathan, my official ambassador for Staples, patiently walked me through each step of the way, with the gentleness you show a child, who has just taken the training wheels off their bicycle. Jonathan invited me to his work station. It was cleaner than my grandmother’s kitchen and smelled of freshly brewed coffee and chrysanthemums....On a serious note, Jonathan would make a great manager:1. I have visited Staples on numerous occasions and I want to say this employee is always so helpful and kind in assisting me. I did not know her name until today when I visited Staples, Sumter, SC on Saturday, February 8, 2020 and had a list of supplies and materials I needed and this employee with a name tag on Ms. Debbie greeted me as I came in even while she was busy assisting another customer. She took the time to find each item I needed as she acknowledged other customers that was waiting for service to let them know I will be right with you. Ms. Debbie exhibited excellent customer service and displayed awesome as well as extraordinary leadership qualities that is so lacking in so many places. I would like to extend my appreciation for the amazing employee that is always cooperative, helpful and so supportive whenever I need to find a product at Staples.
Due to the piss poor attitude displayed by management in resolving a return matter, the unwillingness to help for the sake of customer satisfaction and ease of transaction coupled with the lack of knowledge and decision making ability by the CSR, Our Businesses will certainly not be patronizing this particular establishment any longer.The total and utter unappreciation toward 2 business owners who spend thousands of dollars per year here disgusts me.

Always my go to for office supplies for my home office. They always have a bunch of different options of what you want. The store is clean and marked off for the current social distancing.

Although she encountered Technical difficulties, she persevered with fixing the problem and was able to complete the requested print job before closing. Great customer service tonight! My arrival was closer to closing than I meant, but they were ALL gracious...even letting me finish making copies a few minutes after closing. I was very appreciative.
They are converting over to full self service. But the local store email still accepts emails for picking up work u want done. They need to disable the email so it does not send automatic response emails giving you the impression that they will do your job. And you thinking u will be able to pick it up later. Everyone is not computer savvy. Plus there are a lot of steps to print something. Plus u need a card with cash on it to make copies. Good luck. People will still need hands on help.

The copy and print team at this store is amazing. They have all print jobs done same day & within the hour for most jobs. The store in Columbia is another story...we drive FROM Columbia to get print jobs done here, because the store in Columbia is so unreliable. There is definitely better management at the Sumter store. I would highly recommend!!!
Worst store ever. Fix my phone only to break it more. They cannot get an order correct. Printing department is an absolute joke. I could Not be more unhappy with them.
I go here at least once every two weeks for printing and their set up is terrible. The self serve stations hardly ever work and today even the one behind the counter was down. If find somewhere else to print off I were you.

Very friendly and helpful staff, the only reason I gave it 3 stars is because I would prefer if they had more on hand stock available.
Its usually very quick to go in and get my copies printed off my phone, but these past 2 times of being there 3 out of 4 printers are out of order and not working. I had to wait 20 minutes to print out 3 documents. There was 2 others in front of me, what really made it annoying was the cashier took the one in front of me and printed her stuff out for her at the counter, she never said a word to me or even attempted to ask if I needed help. I only found out there was a wait after watching others complain. Im not one to complain so I waited my turn for the printer even after being ignored and printed my documents and left. I think the customer service should be alot better then it is. Poor customer service!

Never take a book here to get it coiled bounded! They completely ruined my book which is brand new. All they was supposed to do is cut off the spine and coil it instead they cut off inches from the bottom of my book. It’s uneven and sloppy and the front and back cover is way smaller then the pages. THEY DONT KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING! They have inexperienced people working!!

They have POOR customer service in the COPY CENTER. The employee in there is always too busy doing large orders to assist other customers. Only once have I seen 2 people working in that area. I recently asked for help scanning and was told I would need to wait 3 hrs before it could be done. I talked to the manager and his comment was: what do you want me to do stop processing the orders that came in yesterday/ last night just to help you? That is NOT good customer service.

I own a little small business online and my darn printer had malfunctioned on me so I couldnt print my shipping label which had been very frustrating last night. Earlier today I took a trip to the store and walked over the printer/copy station and was warmly greeted by two nice ladies. Ive never experience printing at staples before and was kindly assissted by Charlotte. Charlotte customer service is phenomenal! It feels extremely amazing when someone acknowledged you when you need help. As I struggle with understanding why I am preauthorized with a $5.00 charge on the card right after Ive inserted the chip into the card reader, I looked over to where the ladies were standing and Charlotte immediately noticed that I had some concerns and quickly addressed me. Encountering exceptionally customer service is a hit or a miss here in Sumter soI am just amazed by the Staff. Going to restaurants around this town; services are not even as pleasant as the visit today.
They need more staffing in the copy center. Someone to focus on incoming/online orders while someone else handles customers on the line. No one is available to assist you on the floor (printers/computer). Most days there is only 1 person and she is answering calls on a headset while trying to answer your questions (annoying) and processing pick up orders. I waited 3 hours for business cards!! I now go to INK BASKET

Got wedding invitations printed..they turned out well with the right help. First girl at the print center had us chasing our tails, but Ashley was a great help in us getting everything fixed after the other employee steered us in the wrong direction.
