Nice Staff & Gooooodt Service

Sooo a couple of weeks ago father in law reserved a truck here weeks in advance, come day to pick it up and they dont have his truck. He lost money on hotel reservation he made for his stop for his trip as he moved across the country. Had to scramble to find another truck and dolly which delayed his move by a day.Now my family is moving, we too made a reservation weeks in advance. Called to see if a truck was going to be available on multiple occasions. Come day of pick up and yup no truck. Didnt even try to find a truck or call another location to get one one. The least they could of done is called another location to secure a truck and left it to the customer if they are willing to make the drive to another location to pick it up. That would have at least counted for something. This place shouldnt rent trucks. If you drive by and they got one, rent it sure but reserving one... Do it at another location.

I made a reservation online and upon arrival gave my name and had no issues with pulling it up. The ladies in there were very friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. Would use and recommend them again.

Worst customer service Ive ever experienced in my life. I would never recommend this place to anyone I care for. The man at that place yelled in my face and threatened to cancel our truck. And that place is disgusting and their desk is covered in so much trash, its a miracle the lady could find a pen to write with. My advice is spend the extra money and go anywhere else.

Very bad service when your trying to get to an actual person at the location an cant due to no answering phone an very rude lady who do answer but seem to have no compassion for customer who didnt get the update on drop off rules so I called in an complain of fakes charge made to card days later when your already had messed up experience with customer line with whole rental pick up so I feel like budget need to do better on customer service skill on handle people with kindness not rudeness but I got an better attitude with Rep who assist me with my issue vs store reps

Miss Elaine was very helpful and took care of the confusion of Budget representatives from another state. She definitely knows her business/handles business well and also knows how to fix errors others have made. Thank you again for the assistance this morning!

Told me to go to Charleston to get a truck when I had 4 day reservation for a truck in Sumter. Do not ever go online to reserve one of these trucks because the lazy girl in office does not check reservations like she is supposed to. Had to find another down the road and no. I wont be calling! Penski is a lot better

Purchase non-ethanol gas here. Really nice friendly family place. Good mechanics. Have not needed to rent a truck so I cannot speak to that.

Awful experience with Budget truck rental. I had a reservation for a 26ft truck two weeks prior. On the day of the reservation, I arrived on time with my confirmation number. I was informed that I was supposed to arrive at 9am, although my reservation stated 12pm. I was told that they didnt have any trucks for me, and that someone was supposed to call me but failed to do so. I will never use Budget again, and dont recommend their service to anyone. Stay away from Sumter SC Budget.

Great deal on a truck. Truck was nearly new and ran like a top. Budget is exactly half the cost of uhaul.

The people here are the nicest and will work with anyone on a price thats right for you.

Dirty facility,rude staff members,overpriced rentals, and even if you reserve and pay they don’t mind giving away your rental vehicles while leaving you stranded.

All was explained very well truck was inspected and all previous damage was noted very polite folks all went as excepted
