Had a pan rod bar installed on my 2012 mustang they were patient w/ me and did just what i asked.Once car settled, it was a hair off-center, went back and the other Dennis fixed it up for free while me and Dennis K monitored from behind.Dont let the looks fool you! Its been awhile since Ive been to this location. Especially since I relocated back to the area. I came 7/30 & called before I came. I asked about the summer deals and putting freeon in my car. Was told it can be done that day. Drove the 35 minutes there and was told it cant be done and to come earlier. I came the next day at 11:00. The guy with the colorful locks asked me what I wanted and I told him... an oil change, the flush and a/c coolant in the car. He said thats going to take too long and I should come Mondat because they are booked. They were two cars in front of me at the broad street one and three at the west mark thing, with one pulling out. I asked if the go bye appointments, he said no. I said but I dont see how theres no time to fix my car. This isnt the guy I talked to on my phone. Its crazy that I recommended many of my friends & family to them to get their cars check out, flushed or other Services. Though I havent been there due to relocating, if he didnt want to work on my car, get paid plus a tip, then thats ok. I took my dollars else where!

THEY WORKED ON MY CAR. DID NOT FULLY CHECK THE CAR IN ITS ENTIRETY. THERE WAS SOMETHING ALWAYS WRONG AND THE COST WAS COSTLY. STILL LEFT WITH PROBLEMS WITH MY CAR. DO NOT SUGGEST YOU TO TAKE YOUR CAR TO PRECISION. I FEEL THEY ARE MORE INTO DRAINING YOU OF MONEY THAN FIXING YOUR CAR.

Absolutely the worst experience. They made me and my son wait 3 hours before telling us anything and ended up doing NOTHING with my car!! No communication from management. The young guy that was doing oil changes looked clueless. The manager attitude was terrible, he was very impatient and nonchalant, that was until a lady of caucasian came in and his whole demeanor changed.He was smiling, laughing and talking. But he still after 3 hours did NOT inform me of what was going on with my car.

Waited 2 hours for them to tell me they couldnt do the alignment on my car. Then charged me $25 for looking at it.

Kept my baby girls car for a month and misdiagnosed it. Everytime we called we got the same story Were working on it, etc... They finally told me they were short handed. Took it to another shop and it was fixed in days! In other words Highly ghetto, do not recommend 😄

Took my car for A/C diagnosis the manager couldn’t find the leak put refrigerant said it was good charged me $175 next day I found the leak by myself lost that money

I called the sumter branch as I was not happy with diagnostic findings from a garage I went to regarding the wobbling from my trucks front end I had a suspicion I was being taken for a ride I asked them to price up the work from the other garage and to check that the $2000 of work needed was actually required Precisions initial quote over the phone was $700 cheaper for the already quoted work. Precision came back and said everything quoted was not needed, and told me what was required (not a happy conversion) I told them to go ahead with the work. They were spot on with the diagnostics the work they did solved the problem, when picking up my truck gave me advice on work that might me required in the future, advised me of a recall that needed to be done. I cannot recommend them enough they are honest and do good work polite and courteous. They will be the only place Ill take my vehicles to from now on

Diagnostic came back nothing wrong with my car. But was told that my front axles on both passenger and driver side needed to be replaced. And was told that it would cost $1,150. Went to two different mechanics for there opinion. And was told nothing wrong with my axle just my tire needed to be rotated. One of the mechanic told me if it was the axles hell charge me just $630 to replace. They see a young women with three kids dont know nothing about cars to take advantage of.

Worst place in Sumter to take ur car to get fix or for anything else etc . They wash my engine did a fluid leak inspection and after that my car won’t start at the first time . And when I took my car back to them they refused get it straight for me and was told that I was gonna have to pay almost 100 for diagnostic plus the cost to get it fixed. For something that they mess up on my car . I would not recommend this place to anyone. Safe ur self time and money and don’t go there .......

They really need to rebuild this building it is so old and worn down.needs repainted also.Selling unnecessary work in order to make money. Recommending services that are specifically prohibited by vehicle manufacturers and telling customers that they are required. Being forced to sell sell sell services that arent needed. Being required to find at least one recommended service per vehicle

Is precision tune the best service center in Sumter? Yes, yes they are... but why?Its the people, the new, and the old who came back. With a hands on district manager and an old but freshly returned shop manager, theses folks are great. I cant even remember the last time a crew took so much time to make me feel safe and secure about their work, let alone explain in laymans terms all my constant questions.If you need it done right the first time... or need something fixed the other guys did, this is the best shop in sumter for all of the above.

Those are the most inattentive employees I have ever encountered. Its a shame when a trip to an auto shop reminds me of a trip to Wal-Mart. I stood at the counter waiting for someone to come in or acknowledge my presence for over 15 minutes. As i realized my time was not valuable to them whatsoever i walked out without getting any sort of service. As i walked out, an employee finally muttered in my direction have a good day after clearly looking in my face while i was standing at the counter not being served. My absolute last visit to a Precision Tune.

Absolute worst place to take your car in Sumter. Been going for years, for whatever reason, and I wont be going back. Just took my car there a week ago and waited almost 4 hours for a oil change. Theyre also suppose to top off my fluids, including the coolant. Specifically remember asking the dude about my coolant since the light was on that it was low and he said it was filled up to the line. Well a week later and after about blowing up my car, I check the coolant and its bone dry. Almost like they didnt even check it originally and just told me that they did. Have many other stories about the place, thats just the most recent.

I have been in here for 2 hours to get my brakes checked and I looked through the doors and nobody is doing any work. They dont even pay attention to the customers

This place grossly overcharge. maybe it was just me, and they thought they could take advantage of me because I look gullible. I went in to do a brake inspection and they charge me $21 just for the inspection. After the inspection they told me i needed my two front brakes pad and rotors change, and they quote me for 596 including part and labor. After that they told me i would need my two back brakes change in 3 months and it would be another $500. I suspected at this point they were trying to hustle me so i told them i would come back later. I did some research and call around a few places. I found one that changed my two front brake pad and fixed the rotors for $261 including part and labor, and was told that my back brakes doesnt even need fixing yet because it was only at half life. I had it fixed at this new place for less than half what precision tune wanted to charge me. Never again will i ever come back here.

Went for break service and was there for 3hrs because the mechanic kept working on people cars who came after me. Usually great but not today

Ive been here 2 times this week,with mine & my wifes car for oil changes,the only man working is Bryan, everyone else is standing in the air conditioned office looking like their busy. Hes very polite and fast. Its a shame hes not seen for the work he alone does ! Id return if Bryan,for some reason hasnt found a better job by the time we need our next oil change. Came in at 10:30am to get a diagnostic test for my girlfriends car. I’ve been sitting here patiently haven’t heard from anyone and it’s 1 o’clock now. At 1:00pm just been informed he was just checking the plugs and wires and EGR valve. This is a piss poor place that doesn’t keep you informed of what’s going on here. It’s been over 3 hours, my time is as much valuable as theirs. I won’t be coming back to this place I would just buy a new vehicle. And the chairs and seating sucks in here.

Rude, not caring, dont appreciate their customers. Know it alls.. They are not getting any my money I didnt get past the front desk without insults, to me . I wonder how they stay in business?

Ive been a regular customer at Precision Tune in Sumter, SC and I never had any issues with them in the past. However, I received an oil change before going on a 2 hour road trip only to find out that my oil change was not done correctly. I was about 30 minutes from my destination and I started seeing steam coming from under my hood, popped my hood to see that my oil cap was not on and oil was everywhere!!! Thankfully, I spoke with manager and he set me up with another Precision Tune in Greenville, SC to get the issue corrected.Also, the wait was long they seemed to be short staff and Im sure that contributed to this mistake.

They have always taken good care of my vehicles. They even work with me on getting parts for my vehicles. If I can get parts some where else cheaper, they dont mind me getting those parts and them putting them on.

Batch of scammers and crooks, Jamie stood there for 20min telling me my car had a cable clutch and I needed over $600 in work, I took my car elsewhere they told me and showed my that Hyundai never ever made a cable clutch for there cars its been hydraulic for 50 years even the dealer said the same thing, all I needed was my clutch bled, A $20 job these crooks tried to get over $600 for. That was my first and last time coming here 👎🏿

Broke down on highway; got towed to the precision tune guys. They got us back up and running in less than 3 hours. Really nice crew theyve got there; they took the time to thoroughly explain the problem and fix for me. Thank you!

BEWARE!!!!! Was told by Dennis (tech) that I needed Rack and Pinion work (and quoted $1,600). Ok, fine...took truck back in next morning and was told by Manager (James) that afternoon that it was not Rack and Pinion AFTER I put down $800 deposit that morning for them to have part delivered. 14 days later, Im still waiting on my $800 deposit back on my card. BBB notified, next steps: small claims. BEWARE!!!!! And take cellphone pics of who was under your vehicle so that when they get amnesia, you refresh their memory. Sad business!!

Absolutely terrible. I went in for a routine check up and to see why my check engine light was on. They said the whole cooling system had to be replaced on my VW Jetta, which would cost me around $400!! This was two years ago and to this day i have not experienced a single thing wrong with my car; the AC runs just fine and i have had my oil changed at a different mechanic. DO NOT GO TO PRECISION TUNE AUTO CARE!!!!!!! THEY WILL TAKE ADVANTAGE OF YOU!!!!!!!
