I recently gotten into an accident and I needed to buy a car before the insurance company ended trial with the rental car. I was scared of having too much of a car note to pay my bills and i was on edge.. But, above everything, Ms. Charlotte was absolutely amazing and Mr. Paul was very informative, realistic and helpful. Went to a previous dealership earlier in the day. The salesman wasnt listening to our requests kept showing us vehicles outside of what my daughter had already explained she wanted. Really pushy, some comments made to us disrespectful and all he seemed to want to do is make a sale. Although we left really frustrated, my daughter and I decided to head over to Hoovers CarFare on Trolley just to take a look around.Im so glad we did! From the moment we hit the lot, Charlotte was awesome. She asked my daughter what she was looking for, what colors she liked, type of vehicle she was looking for, mileage, etc.....and she listened.My daughter was able to find exactly what she was looking for and received a good deal on her trade. Charlotte made everything so easy and she went above and beyond to help my daughter get her car. Its only been a few days since her purchase - but shes LOVING her car. Drove just under 2 hours to look at a vehicle on Labor Day, 09/06/2021. I received a text confirming the confirming the appointment and we arrived a bit early. Drove away 30 minutes later after only being able to view the exterior. Seems they lost the keys but didnt bother to have their ducks in a row even knowing I was coming. Didnt seem to bother them at all. The only contact I got from Car Fare after that point was in response to a message from me. Was strung along for a week only getting bits and pieces of info. Finally on the next Monday I get a message the vehicle failed their inspection and was sent back to auction. Dont remember receiving worse customer service anywhere ever. They did of course send the obligatory we sorry, thats not the way we do business type messages but yes, it is the way they do business. They were also more than happy to try and redirect me to other more expensive cars. AND.... the vehicle, a 2014 Chevy Captiva, that failed inspection and was sent back to the auction is still on sale on their web site as of 5 min ago, 09/15/2021 08:40 am.

Bought a BMW X5 from them about a month and a half ago, was told there was full maintenance done on the vehicle, and after doing my first self service, I came to find out there was ZERO maintenance done to the vehicle. Everything was still stock and deteriorating. Would not recommend, they’re only trying to take money from your pockets.

Our initial purchase process was smooth, Brian Narcsa was very helpful and went above and beyond to close the deal. Our used car had a defective camera that the dealership agreed to repair during the sale of the vehicle. 2 months later and many trips tracking the Operations Director down and they agree to pay for the repair that we agreed to. They arent great at follow up and you will have to force them to do the right thing.

Great experience at CarFare during initial purchase. By far the easiest car buying experience I have ever had. Highly recommend. My salesman Brian Nasca couldnt have been more helpful. 1-1/2 weeks after purchase check engine light came on and vehicle needed a new thermostat. I was told there was nothing they could do and vehicle had been through a thorough inspection prior to purchase. After further inspection, I found fluids were low and oil under the hood. I understand buyer be ware essentially for cars not under warranty, but the service after purchase could have been better, and something like that should been checked and a full service of the vehicle should have been done.

I went to these people when I was in desperate need of a vehicle after every other dealership turned me away, and they spent the entire day trying to help me until they got what I needed and put me in a reliable and very nice looking vehicle, that fit my budget. Then I went back and bought another reliable nice vehicle for my wife. Not to mention, both times, they got us a monthly rate that easily fit our budget. Two years later, I went back to trade in one of our vehicles for an upgrade, and James bays did an amazing job listening to what I was kind of looking for, and had a list of amazing vehicles that fit the price range I was looking for. Found the best one that fit everything I was looking for and way more, and James had me in and out in no time. When the time comes, I’m definitely going back to them, because you won’t find better help anywhere else.

We drove 12 hours from Arkansas to come pick up my dream truck. 2017 ram sport in sublime color. I asked Andrew the salesman to please get all paperwork done so when we get there we sign and drive. He did just that. He got us financed when nobody else could. Im beyond in love with my truck. Idc where I am in the USA I will forever stick with hoover and carfare for our next trucks. Andrew Shaw was an excellent salesman going out of his way to find a vehicle to fit my needs. Paul the sales manager was also excellent in making sure everything worked out for me. Definitely recommended stopping by CarFare they made impossible happen.While the sales process was great, the vehicle I bought was bad. The car said it was a certified vehicle however a week after purchasing my vehicle I learned that the rear differential was bad so now it’s going to cost me out-of-pocket to correct this problem as well as have to pay for a rental car I would be very cautious in purchasing a vehicle making sure you do a full inspection before signing on the dotted line my mistake and I promise I will not be sending business this way due to this factor.

Stopped by Hoover on Tuesday, August 17,2021. Saw a truck online we were intetested in. We were told the truck was at the other lot and the sales person would drive us over. Got to the other lot, sales person got the key. Drove around for over an hour looking for the truck. Could not find it on the lot. Went back to office. Was told the truck was SOLD Saturday, August 14. However we have one similiar for more money. Today is Friday, August 20, 2021. The SOLD truck is still for sale online.Same thing happpened to our daughter and one of their friends....sorry SOLD...we have another one more ecpensive.Really bad sales tactics. We bought truck elsewhere. We will not return or recommend anyone shop at Hoover.

Beware of this dealership trying to simply get you physically on their lot. We were looking at a specific Civic we saw online last Thursday. We got a call from the rep from the Internet about it. On Saturday, we called to confirm the vehicle was actually on the lot (Trolley Road location), so we could look at it. He confirmed and told us who to ask for at the dealership. We arrived and were told the car we were inquiring about had sold 2 days prior. Ironically, another Civic was pulled up ready to be viewed. We left, of course, because we really were interested in the one specific car. So that was Saturday, and today is Monday, and that car is still listed on their website. Yet the car sold 4 days ago. Dont waste your time with this dealership.

I researched the vehicle I was looking for and found Carfare through TrueCar. The salesperson that i was set up with, Andrew Shaw, was pleasant and great to deal with. He answered all the questions I had, didnt try to force me I to a vehicle I didnt want and just generally made the car buying experience nice.The only reason I am giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because I had to fill out financing paperwork twice, due to no fault of the finance gentleman. Usually dealing with the finance people at a car dealership is stressful and they are usually rude. Not the case at Carfare, the finance gentleman was awesome and answered all the questions I had as well.

Worst experience ever selling my vehicle to car fare. It took 3 months to get my check from them because they claim they didnt receive a title from DMV. I got a duplicate title at my own expense with 6 days of applying for it. DmV had sent them one 8 weeks before that. Im sure the lost it because their excuse was that DMV takes longer because of COVID. Tracking the status of this transaction became a second job for me. Go with CARVANA you get your money the day of the transaction.

Bought my used 2013 Jeep there in May of this year.Driving it home, the radio stopped working. The car never came with back headrests (that they promised me they would order, it’s not October and they told me the headrests are too expensive so they will not be ordering them)The car started overheating constantly and I was needing to keep adding coolant and oil.Now, I have just found out I need to purchase a new engine for a car I bought 5 months ago. I am devastated and saddened that the employees at this place feel comfortable seeing people spend a lot of money on a new car, knowing that it is broken.Do not go here, save your money. They are shady, liars who will do anything to sell you a car.

Bad experience! This dealership sold a car that was driven for only 3 days and broke down. The dealership does not stand by their word or their vehicle. The car has worn out and faulty parts. This dealership just wanted to make a sale rather than fix and replace what needed to be repaired on the car. Not a happy customer!

Went in to look at a certain vehicle, I was lied to by staff about the vehicle. When I went to look it up on CarFax the car had actually had two previous owner and one was a rental company. Also asked if it had previously been in any wrecks and it WAS and i was told it WAS NOT. The vehicle was actually towed off the site of the sideswipe stated. I felt cheated and i called to place my concern and its been a few days later and ive heard nothing back. The guy i spoke to on the phone was very unprofessional when i placed those concerns and told me to, and i quote Entertain him with an offer. I may be young, but I am not stupid.

After wasting our time the first time here, they reached out to us saying they will do whatever it takes to make a deal. we have now wasted our time yet again. we were given finalized prices last night and went to buy the car today, mysteriously $1800 reconditioning charge randomly appeared that they “forgot” to add yesterday. we were told it was our fault, if we would of came the night before they would of taken that price off but since we didn’t they couldn’t help us. stay away from this place, they are shady!

Gross untruths. I called from West Ashley inquiring if a 1991 Jeep was still available. Receptionist said yes, when I arrived a salesman said, the vehicle was sold yesterday... however, can I interest you in another.Received a call a couple of days later, the sold vehicle is back on our lot...drove from my home...1 hour away. Saw the Jeep, but the seats are bolted in one location...not adjustable. Salesman said, oh, I shoulda told you, the seats cant move and at over 6 feet, you may not fit...No stuff Sherlock!!!

I searched everywhere for over 3 months for the perfect car and this was the place that ended up having it. I had already spoke with a few dealerships about vehicles I was interested in and had some good and bad experiences, but the customer service that Mike provided was above and beyond. I’m a picky person and I know what I like. I did tons of research before beginning my search for a car and I already knew exactly what I wanted. Mike was always quick to respond and very helpful. I had to drive from Columbia to look at the car and I ended up getting there later than planned, but Mike was patient and understanding the whole time. He stayed much later than he should’ve to make sure everything was taken care of and I was able to leave with my dream car the same day. This place had the model car I wanted and at the best price compared to anywhere within 100 miles of Columbia, SC. Shawn at CarFare was extremely helpful in purchasing a Suburban remotely from Utah. He dropped the car off at a local mechanic in order for me to get a third party opinion of the vehicles condition. He also provided his personal cell phone number so that we could keep in touch throughout the process via text message. CarFare picked us up from the airport at 9 pm so that we could pick it up the night we arrived versus having to rent a car until the next morning. The only hiccup we ran into was with registering the vehicle in Utah. I had to follow-up with CarFare to have them send the paperwork to my local DMV. Once I reached out they were helpful with getting this resolved.

Bought a car from them. Steve the salesman was nice and very helpful. Once the financing started and closing of the deal began. That was a whole another story. Everyone was nice, but lied. I questioned the interest rate and was told this was the best they could find. I asked if they checked with particular banks and was told yes, another lie. They did not check because I followed up. I have since then refinanced and got a way better interest rate. Just be careful and double check behind them.

My husband and I went to this dealership today and asked for Shawn because that’s who my husband spoke with on the phone and when we got there another guy named Steve came out and spoke with us we told him we was looking for Shawn and he went and got another manager because Shawn wasn’t available, so we told him that we wanted to look at the car and he told Steve to get the keys to pulled the car around to us, Well he went to the car without getting the keys 2nd the other manager said that let me go get the keys and he did. Steve came from the car and got the keys, he went to try and start it to bring it to us and he didn’t know how to drive the car and it was very low on gas and it smelled very bad . He said he didn’t know anything about the car so the guy Shawn finally came after Steve went and got him again and he telling him how to put the car in park and everything so he told us he drove the car home and ran out of gas, which to me is a big no no later he said that the car was awesome pushing forward we drove this car and nothing inside the car worked and they wanted us to buy this lemon. So once we got back to the dealership and they all went inside and left my husband and I outside never invited us inside the dealership or anything Rude People stay away from this place JUST LEMON CARS are sold here

I put an inquiry online under my husbands name and was initially contacted by Reese. I was unable to answer the phone and when I called again Reese was unavailable. My husband called around 7 and was unable to speak Reese. He ended up speaking with Dawn. Who let me start by saying, at first was pleasant. Until she figured out she couldn’t flirt her way into getting my husband into the dealership. As a professional, that is something you DO NOT do. When she finally figured out she wasn’t going to flirt her way into a sale, she then stated that the truck that we were looking to buy was no longer available. Ok, fine. Just to get a call the following weekend as a follow up (in my line of work, I always appreciate follow ups), just to find out that there were other options that me and my husband would be interested in. UNFORTUNATELY I had to tell Reese that we had already purchased a vehicle somewhere else. I would gladly work with Reese again in the coming weeks since I am purchasing a vehicle for myself next. She’s professional, pleasant, and does not feel the need to relentlessly flirt with another woman’s man.

Vehicle wasn’t as advertised; exhaust was patched with RTV sealant. Radio stopped working 15 minutes after purchase. While changing the oil, I found out that they used the wrong size oil filter. I was told by my mechanic that my vehicle was sold to me, with a stretched timing chain. I called multiple times, spoke with multiple employees. I was promised a callback, however that was well over a month ago, and no one has contacted me. Though I am aware that I purchased this vehicle as is, with no warranty, it is a bad business practice to sell vehicles that fall apart, (within weeks) under the guise of a road worthy vehicle.Buyer beware!

The sales people were barly willing to work with us on prices we had to drive off and they happened to flag us down... I wish I would of just kept driving . After buying a SUV for $5350.00 cash . Not even 10 mins down the road.....the tpms light came on/ the ESC light came on, found out speaker in the front was blown (they had changed the radio settings so it only played music through the back speakers) the back passenger window button in broken. The cruise control cuts off when the lights are on and can not cut back on until you cut the lights off, the heater does not work, the air doesnt work out the back vents and the seat heaters dont work, lesson learned I will never be back so disappointed

Bought a car and 3 days later the motor blew up. They wouldnt do anything for us. We asked for a loaner car so we would have transportation but they refused to do anything to help us. Jeff made it happen for me. I went to two other dealerships before going to Hoover. Everyone else wanted me to have a cosigner. I went in and told him straight front y situation and what I had to put down and they made it happen. Thanks to Jeff and his crew they gave me that second chance. Nice Cars and nice prices... CUSTOMER SERVICE SUCKS! They definitely dont value you as a customer they honestly just want to make a sale. This isnt a family business; theyre only worried about the money. Ive been there twice in one week and both experiences were horrible. If I could rate them less than 1🌟... I would!

Sold me a car that had a bad clutch. It was not drivable within 3 weeks. Tried to blame me for not driving it properly. Charged me $1400 to fix the clutch and basically told me tough luck. No loaner vehicle while the repair took almost a week. Very expensive mistake buying a used car from Hoover.

Scott is the new GSM at this location and he and his staff provided the best car experience Ive ever had and Ive worked in the car business. Ive also had a hard time getting approved at other places and Scott made it happen. Cory was my salesperson and it felt more like a party than a buying experience. I got a slick new ride and a good payment. Even Ashe in finance was well spoken and explained everything well. I got an ok deal on my truck. Unfortunately they told me to come back and transfer my belongings from my trade in.When I came back to transfer my belongings they were gone...brand new truck with NO TOOLS or fishing equipment. Starting off with thousands of dollars in losses. Called them and got the run around and stupid looks.I should have called the police.

Worst place in the world. Took my wife for $375 for work she didnt need .Didnt do the work properly. When she went back they tried to hook her for another$500 for more work she doesnt need. Then they got her so upset when she tried to get out the break room she fell and hurt her knee and shoulder .All they told her was sorry .Talke to another coustomer who was having the same problems. Dont ever take your car there.

I was told one price for the vehicle took the vehicle home went back the next day to sign papers and the Ofc Mgmr had me in his office to tell me that was not the correct price for the vehicle and i already put down 2500 which that’s what I was told to put down. Now he states I have to put down an xtra 20000 dollars!!! I was already under a lot of stress from the car accident someone hit me last month and totaled my car!!! On top of that I took the rental back today so much for a peaceful weekend I though u suppose to keep your customers happy I probably just need to get my 2500 back go some where else.

If there were negative numbers I would give that score to this dealership. They are sharks. They promise things they have no intention of delivering and are what my friend called the epitome of the proverbial used car salesman! They are pushy, oily, and will say anything to make the sale, but as soon as the paperwork is signed the denials of promises start. They had my keys to look at my car while I test drove one of theirs and I had to pitch a fit to get my keys back so I could go back to work. I was told that they were sure there were two keys for the car before I even test drove it but was told after we signed Id have to order a second one. Ive have the car 3 days now and I already have to call (another) dealer for service on it. Once this is finished I will never darken their door again! Do not do business with these people!
