Ben and Santino were phenomenal! I would use them again in a heartbeat! I’ve used moving companies about ten times including overseas and these guys were professional, respectful, hardworking, responsive, and took away all of the boxes and paper. It was a great experience and they kept the stress at a minimum.

Will, Leo, & Trevor were my crew today packing up the van. They arrived on time ready to work and with proper attitude, giving great attention to every small detail. I was very pleased with their level of service. This team had a real can do work ethic which I appreciated.Also received much help and info from Chris Phillips regional mgr. The three young men showed up early to get the move started and work around us while we finished last minute packing. They moved quietly during our whole move loading as much as they could into the truck. They unloaded the truck running up our driveway on an incline and unless trips down the basement stairs non stop. They ask where we wanted every box, not just dropping them anywhere in the house.

Had White Star move a client of mine a few weeks ago into a senior housing community. Troy, Tommy, and Chandler handled the move and they were AMAZING!! Hands down these employees were some of the best movers I have ever worked with. Extremely kind and helpful to me and my team as well as our client. Went above and beyond to make sure her and her daughter were happy with all of her furniture placements before they left.

Leo and Mike were amazing! My grandfather was being moved to an assisted living facility, and they were both tremendously helpful in both getting him moved in and organized. After moving back to the US from Europe we were very satisfied with the service we received from White Star. Trent, Bobby, Alex, and Chandler did a great job with the entire job. They arrived on time and worked so hard (in a down-pour and intense humidity). It was a very large move, with two semis and several large and oversized items and they did not stop until everything was done. I was amazed. They made sure to keep my floors protected as well and we’re so helpful with the unpacking and organizing. I would definitely use this company again and recommend them to others.

Overall OK set of movers.Cons: my stuff arrived 3 hours late, and I had to wait in my apartment while I had no clue what was going on.Pros: Mario, X, and Bobby (my 3 movers) were very courteous and professional, and moved all of the boxes quickly and promptly once they were there.Overall, don’t set your clock by them, but they’ll get the job done.

Very dissatisfied with the service that I received with White Star Movers. I had hired White Star to pack and move my belongings from Michigan to Virginia, the last week of February in 2021 and I will say that I will never use them again. On Monday the 23rd we had a team come and pack our home up and Tuesday they came and loaded our belongings. I was unable to be there for the loading portion on the move however my husband was. My husband declined a walk through, believing that he could trust the movers. However after I got to the property and did a walk through after they had left i discovered that they left cardboard and a giant plastic bag in my master bedroom. I spoke to the owner Kaitlyn to voice my concerns, she was very dismissive and unprofessional. Later after the move was complete I was unpacking boxes and I was absolutely disgusted by what I found. I have cats and use a Litter Genie, the night before they came to pack I emptied and cleaned out the Litter Genie so that it could be packed. When I unpacked it two days after I moved I discovered a used tampon and applicator. I was absolutely horrified and contacted White Star again. I again spoke to Kaitlyn and who again seemed dismissive of my complaint. I will never use White Star Movers again!

White Star was hired to do a move for my fiancé and I from two different homes to our new house, the guys did an amazing job. Leo, Dominic and Ben Slavin were the movers. What was expected to be a 5-6 hour job ended up taking them less than that, they definitely hustled! They were cautious as to not damage the walls and even moved a piano up 7 steps. We had a very heavy outdoor BBQ grill island shipped to White Star Movers for delivery. When Derrick and Tyreece arrived in our driveway they made a professional judgement that the island was much to heavy to safely unload. They were courteous and professional and my wife agreed with me that it was best for them to take the island back to the warehouse for safe keeping until we could reschedule delivery when we had a fork lift available to safely unload the pallet. I will be contacting White Star in the morning to reschedule. I’m confident that my island grill will be In good hands until it’s delivered safely.

Excellent team with a good process to communicate where your item is all along the route. Notification by email and text of arrival date and time. Came exactly when expected. On 08/21 we used White Star movers to relocate our belongings 1/2 mile to our new home. Worst overall experience I have ever had with a moving company. It started off fine with the sales and quote cycle as Chris came out to the home to evaluate our belonging and provide an estimate on the cost to move. He was a complete professional and gave me faith in the company.When it came time for moving day, the moving crew showed up on time and things started out completely fine. I had two office desks that needed to be dissembled and moved. Part way through the disassembly of the first desk the crew chief told me they would be unable to move it because it was pressboard. This desk was shown to Chris and he assured me the team would have no issues. The reality was that they refused to move it unless I took it apart myself. When I went to put it back together, it became obvious to me why he stopped as he had completely stripped out two of the connectors. The crew is clearly not well trained on disassembly so use caution if you need this service.While the crew was moving stuff out of my front door they completely broke off two of my solar lights on the porch posts and I had to point it out to them at the end of the move.I also had a bed that needed to be taken apart which they did complete. However, when they reassembled it at the new home it was completely wrong. When I pointed this out to the crew they were annoyed because they were tired and didn’t want to deal with it, but they did correct it, almost. Later that night I found two slats they completely left off once I noticed the mattress sagging. Again, use caution if you need them for disassembly/reassembly.Next, the crew chief began to list out the many items they dont take/move.. no plants, no loose items, because they do not stack and make use of vertical space in the truck. Again, if this was a constraint I should have heard about this in the quote process. Chris did point out a few things I would have to move but the list grew when the crew showed up. The crew did end up taking some of the loose items as space permitted. It took us 12 car loads to move the stuff they would not take so this move was exhausting for us as well.The crew chief got irritated at the new home when he realized that everything on the bottom floor of my old home didn’t go to the same place in the new home. I am unsure why this mattered as I had help directing them where to go with each and every item.Toward the end of the move, the crew was tired and it was not until after they left I realized that they literally took the nose of the second truck and dumped it in the garage instead of putting the items in their designated rooms.The move was estimated to take a team of 4, 8 hours and instead took 12 hours, a 50% miss which I still do not understand to this day. Their estimating skills leave a little to be desired, so consider this when doing comparative quotes.I completely understand that moving is very hard work, but this is their business and the customer should not have had to put up with the attitude we experienced. I must say that one member of the crew was outstanding and should be the example for the others to follow. My china cabinet made it without a scratch so they took good care of that item. They also had a freezer that they went above and beyond on getting through the door.Overall, the crew was average and I felt like I paid more because they were tired. The service industry is a tough business, but this crew, with the exception of the one member, did not impressed and I would not ever utilize this company’s services again.

Professional, prompt and efficient movers. They saved us so much aggravation. We rented a storage pod thru them so we could get our hardwood floors refinished. They were able to break down furniture that needed to fit thru the door. They packed every item in the storage pod with padded blankets and shrink wrapped our cloth furniture . Then came back and unpacked the storage pod and used the same care. They got here and didnt waste any time. Weve used them 3 times and never disappointed

My contents were stored after a water leak which happened just as Michigan was being locked down for Covid-19. After a year, and still not completely renovated, it was time to get the furniture back. Leo and Jake were fantastic, having to lift and haul some extremely heavy pieces up a flight of stairs and maneuver around some tricky corners. They were very pleasant, respectful young men who were very willing to accommodate me after bringing a heavy piece up the steps only to have it go back down a different stairway. Can’t say enough pleasantries about them. Quick, efficient, respectful and friendly and not one marked wall nor scratch in my floor. If you are looking for movers, request them. Excellent job and thank you again guys!!

My company used White Star to move our 6,000 SF office from Birmingham to Clawson. The move was effortless and professional. Matts team of five guys broke down desks, was careful of walls, and reassembled everything perfectly. I was anticipating a ton of touch-up painting in our new space and none was needed. Wow, a company that prides themselves on customer service and speed. I requested two movers and when they arrived I thought to myself I maybe shouldve asked for 3-4 Knowing how many items I had. Not only was I wrong, they were fast and clean with the move. Not only did they take special care of my items, but was extremely careful with my home. Office staff was super friendly and very helpful.

While I didn’t personally use this company, my parents did. My parents recently moved and ended up using White Star Movers at the last minute (due to issues with another moving company) and they were fantastic from start to finish. Totally professional, courteous, & fast (those guys run). Thank you for making a difficult move a LOT easier. Can’t thank the 2 crews enough.

The company loaded up 12,000 to go over the road and loaded everything wrong, boxes were smooshed, pictures broken, they mixed loads together so the movers I had, had to go through other loads mixed in the trailer which added another 3 hours because white star can’t load correctly. Do not recommend.

Today I had Steve and Trent move my home from Washington to Canton. I am extremely pleased by their professionalism and timeliness. White Star is one of the companies used by Costco for deliveries. They delivered my new TempurPedic king size mattress and did a great job. I had an epidural injection that morning and was unable to remove my old mattress before they arrived. While they are not paid to do the removal they were very understanding and took care of everything for me. They also gave an accurate window for delivery time and called as promised with a 30 minute warning.

I just moved in yesterday, Bobby and Steven were amazing and so nice! They moved everything in quickly and just the way I wanted it.

My experience was very similar to the review posted by cool doctor. I used Mayflower/White Star for a move from Michigan to California. Eric C came to my house and estimated my items to weigh 4500 lbs (because what they charge you is in some part based on the weight of your load) and quoted me $4200. When moving day came, everyone was complaining about the amount of stuff I had and it not fitting into the truck they brought. Then, they said the actual weight was 6450 lbs and wanted to charge me a ton of extra money...as if it was my fault Eric miscalculated by almost TWO THOUSAND LBS. They claimed Id be able to track the trucks journey online, but I never had access to that service, and my items ended up arriving a week later than the estimated delivery date. As far as the condition they showed up in...see the attached photos. Please note the FRAGILE markings on the boxes. Definitely WOULD NOT recommend.

We have moved from Michigan to Texas. They have packed our furniture and 60% of it damaged or missing part(screws, bolt). They did not assemble even at destination.Screw did not wear facemask when talk with me even there is COVID situation now. They have given contract to some third party movers at destination and they were in hurry. 50% of our boxes are broken due to not moved correctly. Destination screw did not know how to assemble stuff and they said origin movers messed up. I have given business to Mayflower and they need to align both locations.Only positive thing was they came on time and communicate with me well.I do not recommend them to anyone if they are doing out-of-state move. Find others in market they may be cheaper or same price as this.

Mario & Steve exceeded all of my expectations and were fantastic to work with! They were on time, incredibly professional and accommodating, and handled all of our property with great care. If you are looking for a reliable crew for your next move, I would highly recommend working with them!

We used Whitestar to move and they broke the legs off of our china cabinet. This china cabinet was part of a treasured dining room set that was exceptional quality. Of course we paid for the move when it was done, more than $1,000 and they told us the repair or replacement would be performed within two weeks. We had to call twice to get them to schedule us with Angelo. This is the person they use for repairs. We are scheduled 3 times and Angelo came up with excuses as yo why he couldnt make the scheduled appointment. At times when we couldnt reach Angelo, we called Whitestar back, talked to Christina and SHE couldnt even reach Angelo. Angelo finally came out after 3 weeks and refused to brace the other side (the legs that were not broken) and was rude and unprofessional when asked to do so. He used spray paint to cover the damage and there is a screw sticking out of the inside of the cabinet. In addition, because he added wood to the side that was broken but did nothing on the other side, the China cabinet is not level, making it unusable to store or display China. I cannot stress how unprofessional Angelo was when we asked him to brace the other side. When we called Whitestar back, multiple times, they refused to fix the issues, and refused to compensate or replace. Will NEVER use Whitestar again or Angelo. But they have not heard the last from us!!

Office staff fit me in for a garage to house move with little notice. I appreciated that. Although the moving crew, 2 young men, were very cautious, failed to get my box springs upstairs. They tried Spending precious time $$$ and declined to go any further. I then ordered split queen box springs which never arrived Sears is awful. I waited for a week then 2 weeks. My family arrived only to sleep on the floor. Luckily family member gave it a try and my 3 queen size box springs were placed it 10 minutes.I’ve asked for compensation for the time lost with the failed effort of the young crew $$. I was told that is not possible.Bad form, bad customer service.

Amazing price. Showed up on time. Utmost care moving my antique furniture. Not sure if every employees is this amazing, but I had an above and beyond experience with Brett & Andrew. Made a stressful time much easier. A++++. Only wish I knew about them earlier.

Ive hired movers 3 times in 3 years and White Star was the best Ive worked with so far. This was a pretty simple move. All of our things from a 1br apartment were in a storage unit and needed to be moved to my new apartment across town.Tayzon, Blake, and Trace were on-time, fast, and had a good attitude. They were careful with our things, asked questions when something was unclear, but could work well on their own. The only thing complicated in the move is that we wanted to leave some pieces of furniture at the storage facility, but in a smaller unit that we rented. There was no drama around this and the movers did it perfectly.The office staff were also very helpful in arranging the move. Learning from my past experience, its so important to get the right size of crew and a big enough truck. If the truck is too small, time will be wasted playing tetris in the back. I followed the companys recommendation for crew and truck size and it was perfect. In fact, the move went faster than estimated.As a comparison, we used another company to move out of our old place. It was a harder move, because we were on the high floor of a tower. The truck was too small and the crew of two was not enough. A word of advice if youre moving into or out of a tower: increase the crew size by 1 or 2 beyond something ground-level. If the crew is too small, theyll be splitting their time between the elevator and loading the truck greatly increasing the move time. With a large crew, part of the team can load, while the other moves your things down the hall and into the elevator.

Had a 4 man team move us on Wednesday the 9th The guys were quick and careful, A storage tub cracked ( old tub not WS fault) the guys were quick to toss a moving blanket down and wrap up the tub and tape it up without losing any items. The are quick thinking and prepared for anything. They brought floor runners, pads, bins, boxes. They moved 3 storage units worth of stuff across town and into our home in 6 hrs nothing broke, scratched. They took things up and down the stairs without a dent or scratch on the walls. You cant beat the peace of mind using them.

White Star is the worst moving company I ever hired out of 12 moves. First, White Star, Mayflower and United are one company. I moved out of state and they promised a one-truck move--meaning my belongings wouldnt be moved from truck-to-truck. I found out long after the fact, through realtors in Michigan, that White Star does NOT offer one-truck moves over state lines. White Star packed my items in a Mayflower truck and my items arrived in a United truck. White Star tried to lie and say they didnt switch trucks! Secondly, they said they knew how to move grand pianos. They dont. They did $2569.00 worth of damage to my grand piano because they didnt know what they were doing. I have proof of this. White Star underestimated boxes needed and made me buy $700 more boxes on moving day. Plus, I had to purchase more boxes at Lowes that day and scavenge the neighborhood for even more boxes. In the end they refused to move whole closets because they didnt have boxes. I didnt impose limitations on boxes. I never heard of a mover that didnt bring enough boxes. None of my Stiffel lamps were wrapped in lamp boxes. They were scratched and broken. Some lamp shades were busted, some disappeared. I have pictures to back up my claims. Some lamps were put in the truck without being boxed! When I got to my destination things were missing and White Star admitted they still had my items in their warehouse. White Star lost ALL the hardware to the furniture that they knocked down, lost all cables to printers, computers, chargers, etc. After the boxes left my house, they were opened and someone pilfered through them. Not only was many things missing, I got items that didnt belong to me! The settlement was a long, laborious exercise of stupidity, where an unbiased arbitrator said I didnt jump through their hoops fast enough. The truth was, I met all their deadlines of filling out forms, performing little exercises and busy work, but I had to call and spur them along to continue with the process. They deliberately dragged this process out. Nobody ever addressed that items were stolen, I had other peoples items or why lamp boxes werent used. They also stated that I expected them to supply the boxes! Moving companies SHOULD supply boxes. I didnt know how many boxes I needed. That is why a estimator comes to the house prior to moving. While going through this process, I was held up and stopped because I had to deal with a bunch of different companies. Armstrong Relocation, Estes Relocation, Claims Team 4, Unigroup, etc. These companies all had a high turnover rate and the people I worked with kept quitting, so I had to start the laborious process all all over with my claims. In addition, they kept telling me that I needed to talk to a manager, but never had a name of a person to talk to. I spent hours on hold. I finally squeezed money to fix some of the damaged furniture, but they refused to pay for the long list of broken and stolen items. This is a customer-service driven business. I wanted Marc Rogers, the CEO to get involved because I was sold a lie of a one-truck move with movers who knew how to move a grand piano. I got neither. In the end, I was treated very shabby and have warned many realtors to never recommend Mayflower or United.

We had a great experience with our movers! They were extremely efficient and worked nonstop until everything was done! They were very careful with all of our things and great about protecting our floors, walls, and banisters. They were very polite and great about asking exactly how we wanted everything set up. I would highly recommend them!

White Star has moved us twice which also included extended storage of our belongings. They did an excellent job and delivered on time. I highly recommend them!!

Jake R, Conner and Brendan were awesome! They were on time, very professional (but also friendly) and worked quickly. I cant think of one complaint I have about my move. I truly appreciate their hard work especially because it was very hot and humid on my moving day.

I delivered at this facility an hour earlyThey are currently unloading me now. Im an otr truck driver and their backing skills are pretty good. Friendly staff and overall a great vibe.

White Star is awesome. They were a few minutes early!!an So friendly and professional. We moved on 3/14 and the two guys names escapes me, Tre and Chase I think, but anyway, they were awesome. The work they put in to get some of my big furniture out and in the new house was awesome. No damage at all. Thank you for making my move easier!!

The worse company ever . They damaged my brand new couch. They don’t wrap anything or use any protection method . When I called them after I took a picture and send it to them, they said it was not caused by them even thought their driver said it might got caught on the side of the truck.They won’t repair the damage and they won’t even apologize .In addition to that, they will miss lead you when you ask them about the cost . They charged me double what they told me when I called them to schedule the service .I will never ever recommend this company .
