I highly recommend Charlie Obaugh Kia and Melissa Cline. After the random Staunton flash flood that occurred a couple of weeks ago, we needed two vehicles after our new Hondas were declared total losses due to water damage. I stopped by a few dealerships to test drive before stopping by Obaugh Kia. Melissa helped me as soon as I came in the door. I informed her that we were still dealing with our insurance company and I was unsure of how to navigate the process. She helped me with input and advice on how to deal with the insurance, recommended vehicles based on our needs, and allowed me to even take vehicles overnight to test drive. This definitely helped us decided on the right vehicles for us. Melissa was available to help with any question I had about the vehicles pricing, the monthly payments, car features, etc. We walked away with a 2021 Kia Seltos and 2021 Kia K5 GT, both with payments cheaper than our previous vehicles. We are extremely happy with our vehicles and will definitely return to do business with Obaugh again. Melissa was excellent and provided the best car buying experience I have had. She truly made us feel that she was invested in us making the right vehicle decisions. I will definitely recommend the dealership and Melissa to my friends. The other ladies at the dealership were great also! This is a great dealership.

Just had a transmission replaced here. Seems to be running good! Glad to have the car back on the road! Unfortunately there was a dent in the drivers side door when I got the car back. I took the car back to see if there was anything they could do. They were very polite but didn’t feel like it was anything they did. I understand that, as I don’t have any before pics and can’t prove that the dent wasn’t there when I dropped the car off. Maybe it was, I don’t know. The main thing is the car seems to be running good, however if I take something back there I’ll try to take pics before I drop it off. Thankfully they did have a good attitude about it!!

I took my KIA OPTIMA there today to have a recall fixed and I received a coupon in the mail for an oil change with actual KIA oil filter for $9.95!?!? I didnt think it was a real coupon, but it was!!! And when I got my car back they had vacuumed it for me and were going to wash it but washer was broken so they said they owed me a car wash!?! All I have to do is let them know when I want it done and its free!!! I was very impressed and appreciative!! Im Disabled and can no longer get down to vacuum my car so this was a BIG HELP to me!!! The receptionist was KELLY and she went above and beyond to be nice and help me out. This is truly rare these days and when you find a place that offers you help in this way, well I have to commend them!!!! I definitely recommend Charlie Obaugh KIA to all my family and friends and anyone else looking for a great place to have your vehicle worked on or serviced!
Total Joke! Showed up and walked the lot, went inside and looked around for 20 minutes. Saw lots of Sales people sitting around. Not one person talked to us. Left and went to Steven KIA and bought a 2021 K5.

Matt was awesome to work with, was extremely knowledgeable about all their inventory on the lot, even the used car inventory, no pressuring to make a sale just wanted to make sure we knew what we were purchasing! He worked with us through the week to make sure all of our questions were answered. He found the exact color, model & additional accessories we wanted with the Soul. We had looked at other dealerships but we were sold with Charlie Obaugh Kia, their kindness, attention to details, their own Service Depart on Site, which is willing to go the extra mile and the knowledge of their product. They are a 5 star dealership!
Disorganized. I never got any follow up. I was told I would receive updates and I had to be the one to reach out each time. Poor customer service. Waited 3 weeks for them to say they want 2500 down along with my trade in. And initially made me believe they would take both cars and last minute decided they’ll only take one. Waste of time.
I accompanied my mother with her first purchase of a new 2020 Kia Soul and I would have to say that was the best experience I have ever encountered with a dealership Lisa Fink was more than helpful and very knowledgeable about the vehicles and the special deals to help my mom get into the right vehicle she wanted. There was absolutely no pressure on buying right then and there and Lisa was more than kind enough to understand that that was a huge commitment to buying a vehicle. After the sale they washed and detailed the car very well and even took pictures of my mother and her new purchase and while they were doing that Lisa was so wonderful to even take us to lunch to finalize the sale😄. All in all I will be making my next car purchase with Lisa and only Lisa because not only was she a delight to be around she even checks up on a regular basis to make sure my mother is still more than happy with her purchase. Ask for BARRY (BEAR) BLAND! I cannot stress that enough. He is your go to guy when navigating into your new ride.I have poor credit but BARRY was able to get me into a very sharp (in my opinion) car. He was flexible with my schedule and night shift working hrs by sticking to text and emails mostly, which was very convenient for me.BARRY has been there for me not only to help purchase a great used car but even after when I had any questions about it. Very personable and when you meet him you just know he’s a great human being who cares about getting you into a ride. Even tho my purchase experience is done for now, I feel comfortable and confident reaching out to him about any questions, comments, or concerns when it comes to my car.
Amazing service! I chose the valet service for the 60k service package. They got my SUV on time, kept me updated by phone calls and brought the SUV back to my house. Great price on the 60k maintenance package. Plus they took care of 2 recalls and gave the SUV a quick wash.

Bought my first brand new vehicle yesterday thanks to a whole lot of hard work and patience from the team at Charlie Obaugh Kia! Lets start with the fact that I have NOT had positive car-buying experiences in the past (at a different dealership in a different city) so I was nervous going into the process because of how instant and tangible my buyers regret was the first time around.I was researching trading in my vehicle (that I still owed money on) and decided to stop in just to ask a few questions after work one day. Mike Prewer helped answer questions I had about the vehicle, and helped me to narrow down what would still fit in my budget. The entire time he was super respectful of my wishes and the fact that I was mainly just doing research during this visit. I called Mike back the next day to set up an appointment for which my husband could also be present.With the help of Mike, Josh, and Adam in finance, I was relatively shocked that they made it possible for me to walk out of the dealership with a brand new car and my payment is still in my budget. Nobody pressured me, nobody made me feel like I had to buy the car that day, and everyone was super helpful, friendly and honest. Even Ms. Beth came over and chatted with me while I was anxiously waiting for the numbers to come back (which helped me to take my mind off of being anxious!)I just wanted to say thank you so much for making me realize that buying a car doesnt have to be awful. When my family is ready for our next vehicle, we will be back!!

Called to schedule an appointment for a maintenance check. Kelly was the rudest person I’ve ever spoken with. She was very short, like I was wasting her time Telling me that they were understaffed and over worked. During this time, who Isn’t but there is no reason to be nasty with a paying customer. I will never call them again.
Clean waiting area that had a Lego table that helped keep my 5 year old occupied whole we waited. The service was fast, friendly, and efficient.
I love my car but the KIA in staunton I will never buy from them again. The guy that sold me my car lied about the benefits of buying the car and free oil changes and inspections for as long as I own the car. The guy no longer works there and now there saying they never offered that. Your sales people should be educated on the deals and offers and should not sale or lie to paying customers. They are rude and do not hold up to there word.
Not impressed! Made an online appointment for 2 recalls. Took the vehicle in and dropped it off. Was called later by Amber that the vehicle is ready. One recall they had to order the part for and the other recall couldn’t be completed because they didn’t have the tool to do it. Said it was lost before she started working there so she doesn’t know what happened to the tool. She was very rude about the situation as if it’s my fault they don’t have the tool complete their manufacturers recall! Seems like if it’s a scheduled appointment they would confirm the items being done since it’s something they couldn’t do that they would let the customer know ahead of time. No worries tho Steven Kia is able to complete both recalls. Will not be back. Your employees need better customer service skills and stop being so rude!

Saw an add that said they help people with bad credit that was a lie! After the sales woman found out what the bank said she never even called to let me know. And then when I called she finally hours later replied back with a text. Had she even bother to listen to me things would have been different. She made me feel like nothing. I would have given them 1 star had it not been for 2 of her colleagues.
Very disappointed was looking at two different vehicles and quoted at different prices than originally quoted And with less ammentities they tried tricking me with a similar vehicle with less ammentities on oneand tried to act like The tax and license fees were thousands of dollars on the other. I will not recommend them unless you like being lied to and taken advantage of

I scheduled an appointment for my KIA, after driving half an hour to get there, I showed up, there were a skinny lady in the front desk for check in, as soon as she saw me, her attitude changed right way. She discriminated me I swear. The day before this dealership told me for the issue that I had, it’s still under warranty after providing them the vin number(the employee didn’t tell me the warranty is only cover front doors! They should tell me that in advance, so i don’t waste time and gas. The issue was door latches to get in and out also issue of rolling up and down the windows of the vehicle(Rear Doors Only). When she found out the rear doors has the issue, and front doors is ok, she said; the warranty is only for the front doors only! How come the Kia cover the issue for the front door, but not the rear doors for the same vehicle😜! My question is; what if the rear doors is ok but front doors has this type of issue, then she tells me, the warranty is only cover rear doors😁. Days later, I called back again I reached out the supervisor, I explained to him, he said he is getting back to me, and he never did! It’s a SAD story for me and FUNNY for everyone.

Just purchased a 2019 Kia Soul, the process started online then i was contacted by Jake Swartz he got me approved and had everything started when I went to the dealership 2 days later where I then started dealing with Jacob Cosgrove who did an amazing job of showing me the Vehicle and it’s features not to mention he had to ride with me he also explained all the benefits I would get from buying a Kia and also buying it from Charlie Obaugh, then Adam handled the signing of the finance papers and he explained even the fine print. All I can say is from start to finish this was a great group of people to deal with I couldn’t ask for better service or treatment!!! Great job guys and it was a pleasure dealing with all of you!

This business, especially the Owner Charlie Obaugh, has no integrity what so ever. When the employees make mistakes it is up to the customer to remedy the issues. You will be left high and dry. They can not handle any out of state customers and will leave you with excuse after excuse instead of taking accountability for any mistakes that result from their employees i.e. any miscalculations on their part will come out of your pocket. I do not recommend anyone buying a vehicle from this owner as you will highly regret the experience. I know I did.The response to this review is a prime example of the excuses Ive received from Charlie Obaugh and his staff. Blaming the entire state of Maryland and Maryland MVA for their miscalculation of the state tax which is 6% across the state. To prevent any miscommunication I had the Maryland MVA clerk and the Charlie Obaugh Kia Dealership Title Clerk speak to each other on the phone. There are no hidden fees as all the fees are posted on their website. This business, as their owner displays, takes no ownership for their mistakes. When this is brought to their attention, the owner responded by stating that only a small percent of their customers are from Maryland so basically how were they supposed to know what the taxes should be? But, still did not want to cover the amount the check was short for which I was told would be covered by my salesmen at the time of purchase. They are completely unprofessional and discourteous. As a first time new car buyer and recent graduate of Mary Baldwin this experience has left a bad taste in my mouth . I have informed those in my community of the experience Ive had here so that it doesnt happen to them. If I could return the car I truly would.
