I like this place. There warranty on tires has been helpful over the years. There lifetime alignment and rotations are very useful. They do not use pressure tactics to push unnecessary repairs and they consistently are priced lower than a dealer for sure for maintenance items like brakes and oil changes etc. I had some issues with repairs that went awry but they made them right and refunded monies upon request when an error was made. Mostly the staff are friendly, some can be a bit ornery at times. I’ve been a customer for many years. I continue to go here.
I was very disappointed with their service. They charged me for diagnostic service. On top of that, they charged me the shop service fee $7. So, it was total $114.08, which was not explained clearly at the beginning. I am not happy with my experience, and i do not recommend this place since i do not want others to experience the same.
DO NOT GO HERE! I was super disappointed in the way the men treated me as a young women going in there. I had a flat tire (that was able to be patched up) and Firestone made me keep my car there overnight and then called me the next morning saying I had to change my tire and that ONE TIRE would be $235 plus taxes and fees. First off, $235 for one tire is absolutely ridiculous. Second, when I asked them why they couldnt patch it up they were very rude and basically told me to not ask questions. They also told me that I should change all four tires, get an oil change, and do all this extra stuff to my car when I only went there to receive a patch on my tire. I then drove right across the street to Mavis tires where they put a patch on my tire for around $20 and the job was done within 15 minutes. It is extremely frustrating as a woman to go to a mechanic and be told lies about what my car needs and to be taken advantage of due to my lack of knowledge cars. I will never be returning there and hope other people see this review before they get hit over the head and are given the run around about their car/ cars needs.0/10 for customer service, respect of their customers, and their attitude.
I am Firestone customer at Morris Turnpike in Springfield, NJ for almost 20 years, never had any problem, yesterday I had a very bad experience, I made appointment for oil change for my Honda Odyssey Van a day earlier, as usual they told me if I drop my van at night earlier, my oil change would be done before 9.30 next morning, I went to pick up my van next morning 8/12/21, at 21 AM, to my surprise no one even had touched my van, I was very upset, the manager said that they are very busy and I have to wait for few more hours, I told him last night when I dropped my van the lot was empty, the manager told me that you can take your van and get oil change from somewhere else, he was very rude and unprofessional, I was not expecting this treatment from Firestone, they made me wait for over an hour. I am not going there again. Perwez
I made an online reservation yesterday to install four new tires on my 1992 Volvo 240. The Out The Door Price was $286.17 and included, among other things, free wheel alignment (see attached). When I got to the shop early for my 12:00 PM appointment I was told it would take at least three hours because of all the cars in front of me. I was told that making an appointment had nothing to do with when my car would be serviced.I was then told the my total cost would be almost $400, including a cost of over a hundred dollars for wheel alignment. When I told the guy that I had gotten a solid price quote from the Firestone website, he told me he didnt do things online. When I then pressed him, and said that I thought the wheel alignment was included, and that I thought the total was going to be around $250 he just laughed at me.Only after I showed him a saved screenshot of my transaction from my phone did he bring the price down, but not to the amount quoted. He still insisted that it was going to cost around $290, close yes, but again, not the Out The Door Price given by his company that he could see right in front of his face. He even said, Really? Youre going to make a big deal over, what...five dollars?, neglecting of course to acknowledge that he had just tried to upsell me a service (for over $100) that should have been already been included in the price. At that point I left, because I didnt want him or his crew to get anywhere near my car. They clearly could not be trusted. I will never, ever again consider giving Firestone my business, and I suggest you do the same.UPDATE: Upon further consideration, and after reading all of the other reviews similar to mine, not just for this location, but other nearby Firestone locations as well, I decided to file a formal complaint against Firestone with the New Jersey Office of the Attorney General, Division of Consumer Affairs, calling out their unethical (read: deceptive) business practices.
I used this place for car maintenance before and found it ok. But the recent experience of a tire replacement really disgusted me. The service manager Paul first quoted me the price of $230 on the phone. When I placed the order the next day, the price turned out to be $250 because now he included the tax. I also received a quote of $65 for full synthetic oil change. When I dropped the car, that price became $85. After the job was done, Paul called and offered wheel alignment at the discounted price of $82. When I finally picked up the car, the receipt said standard wheel alignment at $94 without no discount listed. I confronted Paul about this, but he insisted that this item has included discount. In addition, the oil change was now $94 plus tax, even after a $15 coupon I brought in. The entire sale was simply bait-and-switch. Paul may have made a few extra bucks, but Firestone has forever lost me as a customer.
Went to change oil and rotate tires. After half an hour, told me to change brake pads and rotor, I REFUSED. Another half an hour later, told me my two nut locks and a stud were broken, but they didn’t mention anything wrong when getting them off and they claimed it *might be* because Costco tire staff put them on too tight before... Will NEVER go back to this place again. Checked with dealer later, about $150 to fix the stud. ZEROor NEGATIVE stars if I can.
Jim was great with my Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland. He gave me options and explained everything thoroughly.
Real nice guys
I was a customer of Firestone for more than 5 years, my 3 cars were only maintained with you, oil and tire changes. Last month I had a very bad experience with the store that had been driving cars for years in Springfield New Jersey. I made an appointment for a Saturday morning and was treated very badly by the store employee. He told me that he would have to leave my car and return in the late afternoon to pick it up. I said no, because I had an appointment, and in the appointment I had the option of waiting or leaving the car. I chose and always choose to wait. The very rude employee said that if I wanted I would have to leave and that he could not do anything !!! Anyway, they lost a great customer and I dont recommend the service to anyone. Im sorry.
Very busy place. This is the second time in a row they have not connected my TPMS sensor.
Jim and the rest of the crew there are amazing. Professional, fast, and fair priced. A+!
Fantastic service and quick too! Got 4 tires replaced and they helped me find a set that was a great price! Came with a warranty and everything. Definitely will be returning for more service
My car change oil but they not put water on Engine car burn on high way, I call complaining but they not feel sorry
This Firestone in particular, they act less like mechanics and more like sales associates for that Firestone credit card.
Really great people. I needed a tire last minute and Doug was extremely accommodating and knowledgeable. Thanks so much
Very good staff
They OVERCHARGE and do needless work. My 17-year-old daughter brought in the car for an oil change. They charged her $69 (granted she is an easy mark). Worse, though, someone working at the counter (do they get bonuses for selling?) told her she urgently needed new tires for $700. The tires were fine. A quick stop across the street at the Goodyear dealer confirmed the tires were in excellent shape. Caution!
The crew were ok but the lobby trash was overflowing. There was a gentleman who had his breakfast and when he was done, he had hard time to try to push his trash in the trashcan because of the overflow.I cant even imagine their bathrooms.
Always have good service here. Purchased lifetime wheel alignment package years ago. Well worth the cost IMO. Even without an appointment, wait time is rarely over an hour. Theyve always been fair and honest about the scope and price of the work on any repairs. Ive bought tires there as well with favorable results. Highly recommend.
Had to replace all four tires due to age (1 was emergency). Only 70% sure if I got the best deal in town, but they were fast and efficient. Kyle was polite, informative and not too pushy. Would come back.
Great staff. Knowledgeable and helpful. They have an electrical specialist that they call in on certain jobs when theyre stuck and cant figure things out. Hes an ASE- certifiedMaster technician and an advanced level engine performance specialist. A real smarty - pants type. Great guy. Knows his stuff. Hes one of the managers favorites. Ask for Craig to work on your car if you have a check engine light on!
I had my wiper linkage issue so got the wiper linkage replaced here. I received the receipt and got charged for the part for 149.99. The original Honda wiper linkage that I found on the internet for retail price was 57. The repairer told me he used the OEM equivalent. I know that overhead is added and so it will be more expensive than internet but wow almost 2.5 times more. I explained how I feel and asked if he can get me discount and the answer was firm simple no.
Picked up friend from this shop
Always a good experience at this location
Excellent service great staff experienced mechanics for wheel alignment.
Went there to get the tire pressure checked since the dashboard warning light came up.They quickly checked the car and confirmed puncture on the inner sidewall (on a run flat) and the only option provided was replacement. The quoted price was highest amongst 4 other places I called and luckily I visited another shop who had the same type available but casually mentioned that the same should be easily repaired.Saved me $250 with no problems in last 10 days
The team here went out of their way to get my car in and my snow tires mounted before the major snowstorm on Nov 15, 2018. Everything was done quickly and professionally and I can not be happier with the service I received. I will definitely be returning to this location for all future needs.
Service advisor Kyle was friendly, knowledgeable, and able to get me in with a relatively fast turnaround time on a Sunday, when most other car shops are closed. Reasonably priced too. I appreciate the service and convenience that they provide.
Told 45 min for oil change- ended up being about an hour and 15 min at 8 am on a weekday. Asked for oil change, they recommended a specific oil and did not tell me it costs more than the regular oil change. Standard oil change says $25 online but no other prices showed up online or in the store and price was not actively told to me until I asked right before swiping my card. $63 for the recommended full synthetic. Price also does not show up at the cash register on the screen. Sitting there for over an hour I saw them swindle others the exact same way. I should not have to actively make sure Im not being cheated at every step of the process just because I didnt know about different oils. No heating in the waiting area.
After getting a flat tire, I brought my car to this Firestone location, and in addition to replacing a (front) tire, they also replaced the tie rod ends. The suspension was noisy and the car was shaking on the highway, so I brought it back within 700 miles to ask them to make it right. They then replaced the rear wheel bearings and seals for both rear wheels. While the noise went away, the car shook ever more violently on the highway for the next 100 miles. I took it to a mechanic at a different non-Firestone shop, who reported that Firestone balanced only the new tire they installed, instead of performing a four-wheel alignment as they claimed to have done during both visits. Needless to say, this makes me distrust the overall quality of their work, and I would not take my car there again.
Mo the manager is an easy person to deal with, had my car in and out in no time.
Worst customer service ever, the rudest manager I have seen in my entire life. Just stay away from that person, he will just yell at you for everything.. Don’t waste your time, just drive to some nearby Firestone.
Good reliable tires fairly price. Firestone has been my go to tires shop for me and my kids for many years.
I went in for a routine oil change and Jim the Service Advisor and his staff found a serious safety issue with the right tie-rod. The inner and outer tie-rods were replaced in a reasonable amount of time. I appreciated the Courtesy Check which found the problem and averted a serious issue that could have occurred on the road. Will use the Firestone in Springfield again and would highly recommend to anyone.
Awesome. In and out. Great prices.
Probably the best auto service in New Jersey. Dario, the manager,is most helpful. I strongly recommend this facility. They are the BEST!
Very rude!!! Went this morning and wasted my time... I submitted a oil change and paid for it online... the guy with a black shirt, then canceled and resubmitted the order without checking if the previous order was approved or not!! And then tryed to blame me!!! Bad customer service!!
,Jim is great, the service the best i have had anywhere. Try them!
Fair prices on tires knowledgeable staff friendly and have great deals on tires
You go in for a brake pads and leave out with another problem. Pushy salesman and bad craftsmanship.
It appears that prices are not consistent for the customers.... Either that or the representative is poorly trained... We take all three cars here for a number of years now. And on this particular occasion my wife my friend and I had one car each here at the same time and received different quotes for the something simple as balancing a tire.... Still not clear why and why there was an attitude..Please train your front desk staff to be consistent... And lose the attitude... Very unprofessional
Pathetic behavior by staff. About time management replace them.
Worst service. Went in to inquire about 2 tires for my Subaru on 9/16/2017 in the afternoon. The individual trying to help me wreaked of cigarettes. He proceeded to tell me that the car needed a wheel alignment and in total it would be $630+ with a lifetime warranty. He said I needed all my 4 tires changed. I told him I needed only 2 tires changed and he said by verbatim, Subaru wont allow us to sell you 2 tires because you have AWD. You have to buy 4 tires. I swear to you. This guy thought I was born yesterday. I left and went somewhere else after he tried to con me. Dont waste your time like I did here. Two years ago I was here with my father and my uncles and every car issue/dilemma Firestone solved. What happened? This place just lost 7 customers. To Firestones management: Educate your employees. Hopefully they wont try to con someone who has no knowledge of cars.
Try to make me spending more not save customers $ but good technique with good service
Called Mavis across the street is and their most economic tire was 186.00 for my truck, Firestone got me out the door for 125.00 for same tire. Excellent customer service, and quality work. Would use this shop if i lived here.
Jim is amazing, great deal in brakes and he even gave me a free lesson on how pistons work. Highly recommend.
Service not bad but you have to watch the up-selling pressure. Firestone always seems to find horribly expensive things I must do almost right away. Ive just done my 2nd set of brakes (original plus 2-brake jobs) - approx. 85k miles. Meanwhile a friend who bought the exact same Honda SUV on the same date (Mar 2006) and has 100k+ miles just did one set of brakes. I can only conclude that the Firestone is overselling its services (Im a girl). Now I run everything by a trusted mechanic; hes sometimes a bit more expensive but in the end I trust him. Lets face it, auto repair is an area where you can really get ripped so trust is important.
Mr.Adam hes very good services, nice and clean location, good job done very well.and the most important is the time great in/out the farm.Great customer service .
Horrible customer service and attempted price gouging! After wasting up to 5 hours of our day waiting for a tire and telling us the tire would cost over 2k (for a Subaru?!). My husband and I ultimately called a dealership that had the tire we needed. At the dealership the tire was installed within an hour. My husband and I were driving home from vacation and still 300 miles from home so we chose Firestone because weve been loyal customers for many years. My recommdation for anyone thinking of using Firestone in Montclair, NJ is to find another service center.
Great service! Professional and respectful staff
I am a student at a nearby college but I am from Illinois. I was looking for a reliable mechanic I could trust. This location was recommended to me by a now retired sergeant of the Springfield Police Department. I even used his name as a reference, but that apparently did not deter this location from attempting to trick me into getting a brake job that was completely unnecessary. They recommended that I replace my brake pads before beginning my nearly 1,000 mile trip back home. I did not get the job, but the day after I got home, I dropped my car off at the dealership for them to check my brakes and potentially fix anything wrong. My dealer mechanic called me and told me that my brakes were not even in the yellow range and there was absolutely nothing wrong with my brakes. This is absolutely terrible that even with a name reference from a respectable member of the police community of the same town that this shop would still attempt to rip off that customer. I would not recommend going here because the mechanics of this shop are either ignorant or complete con artists and cannot be trusted.
Very nice people and helpful, I just think labor is really expensive
Great place, Nick was very nice and professional. Came for tire rotation and bold removal from my tire, was in and out, very quick service.
Thank you to Pat and Dario for helping me fix my car, advance auto part gave me information regarding firestone and took my car their and my car is running perfect thank you to Juana and jabriella.I will come here again.
I came here to get my ignition coil replaced on my jeep grand Cherokee. They originally quoted me over $600 because they tacked on a bunch of extras. They wanted to replace spark plugs which I changed 6 months ago and do a transmission fluid change which I did 10k miles ago. Even after identifying and declining these extras, it was still over $400. Very over priced operation. Customer service was terrible as well. They all talk on the phones and to each other instead of helping the customers in front of them. Keep searching Google Maps for another auto repair shop!
They did my alignment and changed my wheels in about an hour, cant get better than that. The manager who help me was awesome.
Went in sat morn for 4 wheel align, i guess it was done correctly, cant disprove it.I asked for 32psi all around: NOTheres the ugly, the front desk claims all fluids were topped off: NOTmy car was riding real bumpy, i decided to check my air pressures, THEY WERE 47PSI ALL AROUND. WHAT DID THIS IDIOT MEASURE WITH, THE HINDENBURG.ALL MY FLUIDS WERE EITHER LOW OR EMPTY:OIL: LOWWINDSHIELD WASHER FLUID: EMPTYRadiator Coolant Reservoir Expansion Tank: EMPTYI have the lifetime alignment, but this was the worst of all of my previous service visits. how is this place receiving 4 stars. menlo park was better as well as woodbridge.google should incorporate either negative or red stars for this place has earned them.
Been going here for many years and just had the worst sevice call of any Firestone Ive been to. Just lost a loyal customer and will never recommend.
Friendly and fast with great service and competitive prices.
In this location people who work inside the shop there a best the manager are idiot he’s so aggressive he tried to charge me reset tires which it’s free when you change your tires I call least 10 different location for Firestone auto care in the location tell me it’s free he tried to charge me he’s very very bad I’m not recommended go on this dislocation List manager not change
My check engine light turned on the next day. Brought it back they said they don’t do that here. Terrible place with terrible management.
2 reviews1.0 star rating 8/5/2016I had tirerack tires shipped to this location for installation. They first tried to overcharge me and I had to point out the guaranteed tire rack price advertised online. Then they tried to upsell me to a tape weight balance for another $50 and I told them no. When they installed the tires, they put the wrong tire sizes on the wrong size wheels. I had to call them when I got home and was hung up on by their tech. I had to bring my car back in and wait another hour. While I was waiting I asked Jim if I would be charged and he said I wouldnt possibly charge you but I never got a refund and when I called back he claimed he just meant he wouldnt charge me for the second visit to fix their mistake and just offered a free oil change. Gee thanks. The lug nuts were also installed with an air wrench which way over torqued them and I had to loosen and retorque them myself. Dont go here.
Dont go there. They forced customers to repair things at high price. If you dont want to repair, they wont let you go because they claimed your car is not safe to drive. Avoid this store.
They sold me wheel alignment for 1 full year but whenever I schedule an appointment they never work on it during the time I am there and are always rude when they have to do a service.
Prices are a bit high. Asked to have my light bulb in the taillight to be changed and paid for it to be changed. I get pulled over later that night because, you guessed it my taillight is out. Wouldnt go back here prices are very much inflated
Worst manager/front office fat guy, doesn’t know how to treat customers.
Honest guys and good work.
The guys here are friendly and knowledgeable!
Criminals. Yes they are friendly...while they lie to you about needing a full set of tires instead of just fixing one. They are a prime example of why people don’t trust mechanics
Went to get a flat tire patched without any appointment. This place was inexpensive, informative and friendly.
This place charged me $114 dollars for a diagnosis when all they did was use a machine which costs $20 from Walmart. They labor prices were diabolical! Extremely rude.
Horrible service. Called to ask for how long an oil change would takez they said 45 minutes so I took car in... Ended up waiting over two hours!
Because they do Auto care and u have six months to pay without interest which is cool
It all good
Very professional environment. Always looking to help.
Nice service place
Good store and price
I am an employee at Firestone Complete Autocare part time. I help with oil changes, tires, battery service, and also put away the tires and parts when we get our truck order in on Fridays
Excellent customer service and repairs done right!!!
Friendly and quick!
Great service ask for Jim...
Tires purchased in March was leaking air, they tracked down problem and resolved issue at no cost
Always takes long than predicted, always try to upsell you.
Pat was very helpful,thanks.
Went because I had coupons. Tried to tell me I needed a wheel alignment. I have 18,000 miles on the car. How stupid do they think I am
Good service.
Good service
Nice
Excellent service very friendly
